Ranil Promises A New Journey, With New Faces In A Restructured UNP

Prime Minister and leader of the United National Party Ranil Wickremesinghe addressing party loyalists at the UNP Headquarters, ‘Sirikotha’, today said he was pleased that the Government had scored a significant victory after three years.

Wickremesinghe was referring to last night’s defeat of the no-confidence motion brought against him by the Joint Opposition.

Speaking further he said that the motion was brought not just against him but the Government as well and expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped defeat it.

“We should not embark on a new journey. We will completely restructure the party and give more opportunity for new faces. In this way we will get ready for the 2020 election. We now have the confidence to go forward with all our strength,” he said.

JVP slams JO for dull NCM effort

From the grape, bulath and vettila vines,,,,

Chief Opposition Whip JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake charged that the No-Confidence Motion was a political ploy and not a real attempt to remove Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

“This is a politically motivated no confidence motion. Our standpoint on this Motion’s vote is being questioned by many. Some had even made phone calls and asked whether our vote for the Motion against the Prime Minister would not make us complicit for the crime of strengthening the hands of Rajapaksa camp. Some others demanded to know from us, if we would vote against the Motion and take the Prime Minister’s camp, wouldn’t it amount to an approval of the Bond scams he and his government worthies committed. We took a decision to vote for the Motion against the Prime Minister. We took that decision after considering the current political situation and its dynamics. On the other hand this Motion is against corruption and racism. The JVP is always against corruption and abhors racism. Seeing from that perspective too has made a decision right,” the JVP leader said.

He went on to say that those who blame the Government for their initial inaction during the communal unrest in Kandy were the real racists in Parliament.

“The whole world knows that those who accuse the Prime Minister of Bond scams had committed similar frauds many times. Those who say that they have no confidence in him because of his failure in preventing the spread of racial riots in Kandy district are actually champions of racism. A simple glance at the list of the names of those signed would show you the worst racists in the recent times. They are more racist than the Prime Minister.”

      http://www.ft.lk/news/JVP-slams-JO-for-dull-NCM-effort/56-652790

He then asserted that President Maithripala Sirisena too was responsible for the accusation contained in the No-Confidence Motion.

      Priya, dream on!
Bondscam Ranil is the fountainhead of corruption in Sri Lanka today. Ranil, on the instructions and “advise” of his US handlers protects US citizen Gotabaya and the Mahinda Jarapassa family , while looting the Central Bank and the people of Lanka in order to stay in power and pay bribes to corrupt politicians and promote a culture of Impunity and Immunity for Corruption and Hate Speech by poliitcians and Saffron Thugs who promote Buddhist Wahabism.
Bi-partisan UNP SLFP money politics and corruption in a project promoted by the sole super power to checkmate China.
The market for ethnic and religious identity politics in Sri Lanka and Myanmar, and spread of Buddhist Wahabism is a CIA and MOSSAD project though global local networks of political corruption to Divide and Rule and secure SL and Myanmar from China threat and influence
Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia,.Bin Salman in an interview said that Wahabism was spread by Saudi Arabia to block Russia during cold war on US instructions. Today China is enemy 1 of the sole Super power’s deep state and Buddhist Wahabism is spreading similar to Cold war Islamists..
So, today Ranil on instructions of his foreign handlers and policy advisers, plays the same game as MR – Divide, Distract and Rule with Hate Speech against the minorities – using Pathala Champika Ranawaka’s BBS and Mahasohon Balakaya.

The same Foreign power is desperately seeking to access Big Data and Data platforms in Lanka, given its IOC strategic location, to game the elections system and keep their man Ranil in,, by accessing Data platforms – Land, human biometrics, National financial information through payment platform . This is done with fake Economic Development “Policy Advisors” at Ranil’s Office paid by the Millennium Challenge Corporation which drafts Ranils’ economic policies and fake development projects.
Ranil works for the Global 1 percent and Super power’s security interests in the Indian Ocean.
No doubt about it. CT Editors!

‘RW should take the reins and clean it up now’

Wont it be like asking the “POACHER TO BE THE GAME KEEPER.” again. Might go one better and ask RW to reappoint Arajuna Mahendran as RB Governor to clean up the Reserve bank I mean literally clean up the bank vault second time around.

It’s a fact that the western nations are not going to sit and watch when the
MAD GORILLAS the Rajaballas &Co are waiting to destroy this country in the company of the Ching Chongs , and the Red SQ Block who wants a piece of our land.
This country is being watched and advised I guess by the West ,by the democratic countries of the world.

There’s no chance for the Rajaballas to show up their Visious heads again .

One suggestion for the SLFP and the SLPP to DISCARD all your bad apples , young and old Rajaballa & Co from the Party and then think about winning, Until then you’re DOOMED.
The Party is Tarnished in the presence of the company you keep.

They’re Out to destroy this country with their power hunger.
Until they realise that their dramas are just the Pipe Dreams and will end in
DISAPPOINTMENT , It’s their way of Disrupting this country , the people and the smooth running of the government.
Manipulating the poor and vulnerable to get their Votes is not Enough, they have to Manipulate the Democratic world as well. Democratic world will not sit and watch for this country our country being terrorised and Bankrupted by these Greedy Sinhala terrorists.
I conclude here to express my disbelief that these Mad Gorillas are not Patriots of this country but Terrorists who are brainwashing the village men and women for their own gain , nothing but their greedy gain.
      ADIOS .

Time to create another commission to investigate the judges and the judiciary.

“The Court of Appeal today extended the stay order issued on the FCID, preventing it from taking action on former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa under the Public Property Act, until July 3. “

      Spot on.
The judiciary and law enforcement remain a significant problem.
The indefinite postponements of cases is a joke and unfair; something drastic has to be done.
The lady justice minister seems inactive; the MMDA report is gathering dust. WAKE UP.

Sarrij, Justice died a long time ago. Only Ranil remains on new journey in new structure with new rogues so that the problems remain as “OLD” No solutions or actions, but only day dreams. SL is moving from drama to drama. When will we ever get a right thinking, just leader whose gut reaction is to solve problems till they end. Lock up all the robbers first and then statesman leaders have vacancies. Current leaders have too much baggage, save positions not serve.

What ever it is Ranil Became a CLOWN at least as a human being because he took over a burden that he never intended to do. but still the hopefuls think he will do it. The next thing is THE COMMON CANDIDATE MOVEMENT OF 2015 MAY TRY SARATH FONSEKA AGAIN. Because Sarath Fonseka wants to take revenge from Rajapakses’ we need to watch how he will be facinfg this and handling this. I don’t think Ranil would appoint Sarath Fonseka as LAw and Order minister.

  • 3
    0

This decision to keep the Rajapaksas out was arrived at by 225 Members of Parliament, few of whom act on any principles. What do the people of the country think?
    .
Never forget that it was the People, collectively, who elected these rogues. We have a fickle electorate that cannot really prioritise issues when voting, but make no mistake, they now KNOW that none of these guys can be trusted.
    .
This is the time for the political parties to re-organise in such a way as to reclaim some respect. Let us hope that both Prime Minister and the big loser, the President, see the writing on the wall and decide firmly that they must hand over to younger people.
    .
Meanwhile, there can be little doubt that a lot of cleaning up has to be done; put Sarath Fonseka in charge of Law and Order. I’ve just seen an interesting observation here:

    .
And I’ve studied what Wikipedia has to say about the man.
    .
Yes, once the facts are given, I think that there will be a consensus that there we have one of the few honest people in the country. His record shows him to be courageous and just – not really vengeful – which is what the Rajapaksas try to make out.
    .
Justice MUST be done. The guilty must be punished – but not out of a desire for revenge.

Dr. RanilW had all this time in government to change course and did not. He boasts of 40 years of political accomplishment but has done nothing than damage to the UNP. The party still cannot win an election at the grass roots. Without the Colombo vote base, the minorities and a few die hard UNP party loyalist in the remote areas of this country that still pledge allegiance to those greats such as DS, Dudley Senanayake’s, Yankee Dicky or R. Premadasa , these current lot of UNP elitist are a lost cause. The UNP is politically bankrupt. The SLFP is even worse being morally bankrupt. The SLFP has always being the spoiler of major milestones of this country. Both parties need to be repelled and distanced by the people just like the voters did in the recent local government elections. The SLPP is nothing but the “Kadaakappal Hamudawa” lead by a modaya who thinks he can come back to power and loot the country further to add our misery when MR the Tsunami Horra should be languishing in prison.

Hon.Prime minister, it is now the time to form a new cabinet consist of efficient ministers who could bring both visible and invisible changes in the social fabric of Sri Lanka. The victory you achieved(the third NCM against a premiere in SL) against odds are remarkable and you proved once again that you are a master strategist and a leader. Now its time to rise to the level of a statesman to bring the country from racism, corruption and inefficiency. Both YOU and WE may not get a golden chance like this anymore.Let us rise as a nation and go forward.

all Dayan’s prediction and political thought have gone wrong? why? he may need one more black magic …

Sorry for his political expertise and yet, now he should support UNP to win next election..
Ranil should take some firm steps..
    avoid all thieves.
    avoid all corrupt people
do some policy changing .. taxing someone who earn more 100.000 is a good step.
do more to attract investments from Sri Lankan nationals who live abroad.
invest more on vocational trainings of school drops outs.
increase more of small industrial small and large scale factories… so many of them..
    Invest more on education.. ]
give more right and freedom for all communities.
wipe of extremism of all kind .
    maintain law and order.
peace is a must for Sri Lanka.. that is the way forward to next phase of development .
    without peace no prosperity
    with peace no development
create some good leaders in politics. After Lalith and Gamini. UNP did not produce enough people for leadership..
create a political think tank that produce some political research and leaders..

get rid of all thugs from politics.
    Long life for you .

      Ranil Supporter,
I have invested a couple of billions, giving employment and paying taxes but my foreign born son has no right to inherit that.I sat as a VIP with many High Commissioners in London and they used likes of us but never advised us that we should register the births of our children at the HC, but they admired our participation in the events and persuaded us to invest and that is the biggest mistake of my life as I would have expanded my business here in London 4 fold if I didn’t.My son is over 18 years and he lost his right and can he change the law?
I spoke to him personally at Ruwanwella about the problems in the country but it was never dealt with. His buddy Kirialla never wanted to give us an appointment though I stayed and wasted 2 valuable months in the island. He must first put his people close to him right before he tries to put the country right,
Can you ask him to instruct his MPs to give one day a week for the people in their constituencies who put them in power?
We the tax payers demand that the road by the Maligawa be opened to public while the political rascals are free to use the road by the Maligawa, even for night races.
Because of the sacred area nonsense my dear brother’s funeral service was not allowed in the church nearby, even the Buddhist friends were furious about this and they too are angry that they have to drive and cycle 5 miles more going around the lake.He is not going to score house points by emerging Buddhist Wahabis.
Since I live abroad my invested land was first encroached by a high ranking cop and then by another politician known to you attached to the office of the main religion.

I hope at least now Faraz of News Line and Ranga of Sirasa will shut their mouth. They have got shit on their face. Ranil has won with votes more than any one expected. Its time the Government brings laws to control media especially Maharaja Group and Sanka of Hiru TV pushing their opinions to the public. Media should only provide news and provide a platform for participants to provide opinion but in Sri Lanka media provide opinions, which is not freedom of speech or press or media.

Now RW must put his words to action and put some runs on the board. 18 – 24 months is not a long time. When you look at the scheduled debt repayments for 2018 – 2022 and IMF conditions it will be a tall order to bring relief to people. There is also a looming property downturn. Challenging times.

“During the course of the discussion, it was told that UNP would receive the support of the TNA to defeat the no-confidence motion put forward by the Joint Opposition.

It is learnt that President Sirisena reacted immediately and has warned the UNP MPs that it would be counterproductive for them to enlist the backing of the TNA to face the no-confidence motion.

The President, said it would send a ‘wrong message’ to the public.

However, the UNP had made it clear that they would welcome the TNA’s support to defeat the no-confidence motion without any hesitation.

Meanwhile, Deputy General Secretary of the UNP, Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam confirmed President’s reaction to TNA supporting Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe and voting against the motion.

When he spoke to the BBC Sinhala service about the discussion he has said that the President was of the view that if the UNP attempts to win the no-confidence motion with the support of the TNA it may be misconstrued by the public.

In fact, Finance and Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera had pointed out that President Sirisena had no qualms about receiving the TNA’s support at the last Presidential election.

However, a UNP Minister, who attended the meeting, said many Ministers who were present were ‘disgusted’ after hearing the President’s remark on the TNA. “

The No confidence vote only represents the configuration in the parliament as voted in 2015( three years ago)

The UNP suffering in opposition for 30 long years under RW leadership managed to win a majority in 2015 thanks to Sisisna revolution. These clueless , crude and corrupt UNP MPs will not vote on their conscience but only to enjoy the remaining one and half years in parliament. They have known no leader only a pretender, a pompous, phoney, bogus poseur.

Today if the UNP faces any election, local government or national , UNP will get wiped out.

So what is there to celebrate ? The Man (UNP) is dead. Only the funeral has been postponed for his sons Arjun Mahendran ( Singapore) and Shymon Jayasinghre ( Australia) to come back to set fire to the pier

He got to do it, no choice, and no other ways. He should forgo the Royal college club and mentality, checking and holding on to switch, controlling everything with Charitha Ratwatte and Paskerallingam. In this technology age of artificial intelligence and internet of things, every thing is a number, code and algorithm, and they are old currencies. He should politely ask the old guards to take a rest and enjoy their retirement for the good of party and nation, and bring in dynamic young turks
    – which are in abundance both in party and country – to the fore, give all what required for them to work independently, Unleash their energies and enthusiasms, and with the healthy competition to rise up in the ranks, like what JR did. He should mobilise the entire energies of the party and country with firmness and hard determination to moved ahead to the end goal in 2020. It’s not easy, but brutal hard work to deliver to the nation what they promised. But it possible, if he and the party work as whole as team, else all would be history in 2020, he would be gone for good, and party would be in the opposition for another quarter century. It’s now a do or die battle, and let him and party burn the boat for the good of all.

Since most of our politicians are uneducated and corrupt, he will have a hard time bringing in the country to the standards that is being enjoyed in Singapore or even in Malaysia. He should come to London for the CHOGM not the ignorant president.
He should get the consent of the democracies that matter to form a dictatorship where similar thing happened in the local government where the civil servants ran the affairs effectively without politicians interfering. Perhaps he could get the help of former field Marshall and the honest politicians.
He should persuade the former regime members to bring back the looted money, Bond scammers to bring the loot.severely deal with the people that got involved with murders. We should have a fast track justice system to deal with murderers and execute them immediately. This we must learn from present China.
As a big taxpayer in the island this is my wish, if that matters.

Ranil and the 3 Wishes: Ranil was taking a lonely walk in the woods one day thinking about his future when he found a frog caught in a trap.
The frog said to his, “If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three wishes.”
Ranil freed the frog, and the frog said, “Thank you, but I failed to mention that there was a condition to your wishes. Whatever you wish for, your best friend will get in double!”
Ranil (thinking about Mahinda) said, “That’s okay.”
For his first wish, Ranil wanted to be the most popular President in Sri Lanka.
The frog warned him, “You do realize that this wish will also make your best friend twice as more popular President of Sri Lanka if he contests”.
The Ranil replied, “That’s okay, because, my best friend has had his chance and screwed his own ‘u no what’. So, he can never become the President again as long as the 19th is there”
So, instantly became the most popular President ever!
For his second wish, Ranil wanted to be the cleverest President ever in Sri Lanka.
The frog said, “That will make your best friend twice as clever than you if he becomes the President.”
The woman said, “That’s if he becomes President, no? Remember, the 19th is there.”
So, instantly became the cleverest President ever!
Finally, they came to the 3rd wish and frog inquired about it.
Ranil says, “I want to have Gommanpila as my Chief Adviser.”

25 elections are lost. Ranil has been restructuring, after every time. But what came out of his head in all 25 times is pus and discharge. Immediately after people electing him, the people rejected him after electing him. This time his 19A played a massive role in saving him to continue on his position. All 225 8th graders did know that the NCM would not have fired Ranil if it had gone through parliament. So a majority of the 8th graders selected the easy way of saving their position, i.e. rejecting the NCM. The supporters of NCM, especially the SLFPyers, too had ensured their continuation in the even the NCM is defeated by abusing the EP power.

Lankaweyans had history of alternatively shifting between UNP and SLFP. They did not like the First UNP government and voted to SWRD, relevant of SWRD was no one other than another elite UNPyer. Masking one’s own ID and nature for election was first introduced by SWRD in 1956 election. (One thing about Ranil is either he is not good at it or, normally does not play that trick. Until recently he just comes to public with just pants and shirt, even without combing his hair. Only recently, he too has committed to have heavy makeup, copying the dressing styles of New King). In 2018, Sinhalese they did the same thing, again the Slap Party Old Royals no one else but the OLD SLFPyers, who the Sinhala Mahajan rejected, in the previous election. (One should note that the Sinhalese, now, perceive that their hope placed Yahapalanaya is worse than Chitanta. It is not just perception of Sinhalese, a reality established by facts and statistics, after 1948, that every government come power was worse than the one it took over.) But the shifting was forcefully stopped by JR’s electioneering techniques. By that, UNP has paid dearly for the past 25 years.

Four NCMs took place at the same time; one was in Kotte parliament, one was in Tokyo’s hotels, one was in Peking Offices, and one is in Italy. Only the one took place in Kotte decided to allow Ranil to continue on PM position. It appears the other three NCMs fired Ranil, abruptly. So, the remaining 2 years going to be only EP-PM petty selfish quarrels, squabbling and fights. This is a technique designed by Old Royals them to return to power and have been handed over to New King. He, too, is determined to implement that, though the imbecile synthetic lawyer was whining that New King had betrayed them again in NCM. (That dump did not talk if New King had work against Ranil’s in NCM, if that is not a traitorous act against Ranil). So, after those three NCMs, New King is determined to the grab the control of Parliament in his hand and ready to hold harness of Ranil and drive he well aligned in his path. (When Tamils have to be wiped out, opposite parties EP and PM were able to get alone. Now, after 2009, even in unity government, that seems not practical. This “EP interfering in parliament” is not fixed by 19A, even). The driver wants the horse, Ranil to pull the chariot of SLFP for the next election victory. He already blocked those SLFPyers who could not get along with the government to leave the government. He did not allow, recently, anything good to take place in the Parliament from the side of UNP, his main partner in “Unity”. He sees the last, distance third place of SLFP in LG, as the result of Ranil’s manipulation of him against the Sinhala Buddhists, by associating him with minorities. New King has warned Ranil on the relationship with TNA. The January 2015, promise of 100 days Secret Solution of him to TNA has evaporated without a trace.

Let Ranil mark his time and pretend to be leading the government until 2020 general or presidential election.
Let him at least prevent a return of the gang of thieves and murderers…Thank you Ranil for that.
We will wait and watch what our poor Sirisena is going to achieve or manipulate anything anymore…
Factually , we have seen enough of Ranil in the past so many donkey years…and he’s just a good for nothing much a person. He’s definitely not a Prime minister material or Presidential one either.
Good guy…badly brought up and indoctrinated by unscrupulous vision less blind politically foolish idiots.
Sirisena’s days may be numbered and he deserves the punishment for his unprincipled actions, cut throat ways of handling every thing after assuming power and betraying the voters and the UNP who trusted him.
A very ungrateful man and let him pay for his fate and folly…and for cheating Pakshe group !
Let both unfit guys get lost before we find another set of unfit people to rule over us or ruin us completely.
Since that’s what happennng here all these years from 1948……
Our guys cannot rule a country …absolutely…no second word. We gave them and they screwed it every time.
For what else are we waiting for ?
So long as Rajapakses are kept at bay we can probably expect some real improvements…if our guys learned a thing or two up to now !!
For anything good to happen, Sri Lankans must abolish this JR’s rubbish constitution…
Make SL a secular nation…
Stop giving state protection for any religion…
Keep Maha Sangha & the priests away from politics…
Stop and remove racial profiling and racist mentality from all institutions..
Lanka will prosper gradually and even beat Singapore…
Give all the people access to English education. Our people are intelligent and stop giving lessons on Mahawamsa but educate them with trust and racial harmony.
