Prime Minister and leader of the United National Party Ranil Wickremesinghe addressing party loyalists at the UNP Headquarters, ‘Sirikotha’, today said he was pleased that the Government had scored a significant victory after three years.
Wickremesinghe was referring to last night’s defeat of the no-confidence motion brought against him by the Joint Opposition.
Speaking further he said that the motion was brought not just against him but the Government as well and expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped defeat it.
“We should not embark on a new journey. We will completely restructure the party and give more opportunity for new faces. In this way we will get ready for the 2020 election. We now have the confidence to go forward with all our strength,” he said.

That time some leaders went to UNCHR on behalf of Silly JVP girls, against Batalanda Ranil and Richard P. Now only way for Ranil’s’ government to escape is quitting altogether from UNHRC. If they do so, Ranil’s government may escape but not so easily the Old King. It like a few children was playing near to well; one fell off and others let the site saying there was a dangerous well. 6). But Old Fraud refused to sign though the paper had his name on it with in the first five.
7). Then he went and handed over it to Speaker.

When SL politicians see some of these comments they know win or lose their future is safe. There are enough morons (those with IQ between 51 and 70) still pin their faith on this loser and rejoice this apparent ‘win.’ These people are completely oblivious to the fact after over 40 years in politics and losing so many elections, this man has nothing to show as an achievement. Apparently he has suddenly woken up and going to make sweeping changes, sans change in leadership. There is no talk about handing over the reins to someone else, not there is much to pick from. They measure their politicians by the longevity in politics, social background and most importantly the school they attended. Such is the diminished mentality of the Sri Lankan public they cannot think beyond this loser and the other alternative come. There is no social movement to chase away all these gloated, imbecills (IQ between 26-50) and elect some young, dynamic and committed group of people to take over the country. Even the potential candidates that fit this definition are sons and daughters of current scoundrels, who are even more besmirched than their parents. There is so much apathy in politics that everyone is only for himself/herself. Anyone of the will kiss any behind to get ahead. Therefore, in the near future, which could be a very long one, there will only be one discernible change – the mega rich that flaunt their massive wealth grow exponentially. Why cant you blame your boss mahinda rajapakse for taking us on an unncessary circus when everyone knew Ranil was going to win. Even mahinda rajapaksem booruwanse, gonmanpila, dalus, vasudeva all knew they are going to lose. Yet they hoodwinked the whole nation.
It was not just a waste of time but a colossol waste of money. Basically this no confidence motion put country at a total stop from everything for 3 weeks. Typical Rajapakse way of doing things, who gives no concern to the country

IT is Just a game between PALHPRU# 1 (MR Faction of JO) and PALHORU#3 (Ranil Faction), PAL HORU #2 was divided. Lot of money changed hands. So, rishAD bATHIUDDIN HAD TO PROTECT HSI mINISTER post. THe important thing is people saying only the Rajapakses are thieves and not the Ranils and UNPers are. and the bond scam did not happen. IT is because CBK communist (one who grew up in France and whose chuldren live in UK) set up Arjun Aloesisus and Arjun Mahendran. what a way to present the facts. I think Money came from MCC which $ 750 million for POLITICS, PORTS AND LAND REFORMS. anti-muslim violence was islamic – evangelists created. that is why the govt released the FOUR KILLERS. No comfidence motion was a FARCE the way it set up. The question is to stqay alive find from where will money come to UNP for the next election. They hqve other plans and things may work very differently. when the elelctions come, Tamil Hindus should be careful and should vote only the politicians who help them. Sambanthan showed that hs is for his position and Tribalist politics. Tamils will never have peace that way.

Ranil won’t do anything to bring CHANGE. The way he is, totalitarian of the quiet type, he will declare this defeat of the NCM as stregthening his position by all the parties except SLPP, justifying what he has been doing hitherto was absolutely correct. Future, we won’t be able to predict as long as there are corrupt MPs ready to jump here and there for money; they are beggars really when you come to think of this phenomenon. Sri Lankan system cannot be changed, we know the mindset of our people, the youth or the education will not change that mindset, because once given the power and opportunity they will simply benefit from them and perpetuate the system. I am batting and fielding for our kith and kin that cannot speak for themselves, lest they would be herded off in a white van or be dealt with by Kurundu Polu brigade. Personally, apart from a rare visit home to see our folks and reminisce with my long time school pals, I am not even interested in living in SLK alongside this corrupt system. If Ranil could do something over there to change the system, to make me change my mind in the next 2-years, then I would be the first one to take my hat off for him. It may be a big dream!
