Ranil’s Private Secretary Quits In Disgust And Dismay, Reveals ‘All’ In Resignation Letter – Full Text Of The Letter

Sudath Chandrasekara who has served as Ranil Wickremesinghe‘s Private Secretary and UNP Communication Director and has been his right hand man for 33 years has tendered his resignation after being relegated to ‘Special Assistant’ at the UNP’s headquarters, Sirikotha.

Sudath and Ranil

Chandrasekera’s letter, dated March 19, 2018, mentions numerous services rendered to party and leader as well as a long list of complaints.

Chandrasekara, a Police Sub Inspector at Batalanda in the late eighties, takes responsibility for defending Wickremesinghe at various critical political moments over the period mentioned, including the provision of security during the 88-89 period of terror ‘at great personal risk,’ deploying a special communications team to counter adverse publicity and leading the infamous ‘kurundu polu’ (cinnamon club) attack at Matara on a group of party dissidents engaged in a protest march.

As a result, he claims, he earned sobriquets such as ‘The Batalanda Murderer,’ ‘Gamini Athukorale’s Murderer,’ ‘Murderer of Rienzie Algama who set fire to himself and died at Sirikotha,’ and ‘Ranil’s Red-Lipped Ass-Boy’.

Chandrasekara however, expresses gratitude to Wickremesinghe for having given him Rs 100,000 and helping him enroll his daughter at a leading private school in Colombo even in the midst of his (Wickremesinghe’s) mother’s funeral.

        Rajash ,

“what is the language ..the letter is written?”

It is in Para-Sinhala that contains about 40-50% Para-Tamil, and the balance a mix of other Para-languages, introduced to the Land of Native Veddah Aethoo by the Paras.

Well, all I can say is this guy seems proud of being called Ranil’s “puk kolla”. But he’s got a daughter too. What multi-talented versatility! Presumably she will be reading this.

Oh poor Sudath Chandrasekara, he had been kissing a** big time. RW, infamous for insensitivity, lack-of-touch with the common man, ignorance, arrogance & ungratefulness dumped Sudath like a piece of crap. After applying “Karapincha” theory on him for 33 long years. POOR, POOR SUDATH! Good lesson to all Sri Lankans, who sell their soul to politicians, COMMIT GRUESOME CRIMES ON THEIR BEHALF and white-wash all their sins.
      Cheers!
      PS:
To RW’s credit, it looks as if he has neglected or refused political patronage to “Kota Adina Ali” (corrupt UNP cronies and henchmen). Not because I think RW is great, but this is proof, he does not give damn about those bloody idiots, who worship him. Nor does corrupt Mahinda Raja, but he is far better CON-MAN & SHOWMAN.

      Plato.,

“When sorrows come, they come not single spies. But in battalions.”

      What is the truth?

Plato, remember your Teacher Socrates. They tried him on flimsy charges, and condemned.

Socrates lived during the time of the transition from the height of the Athenian hegemony to its decline with the defeat by Sparta and its allies in the Peloponnesian War. At a time when Athens sought to stabilize and recover from its defeat, the Athenian public may have been entertaining doubts about democracy as an efficient form of government. Socrates appears to have been a critic of democracy,[80] and some scholars interpret his trial as an expression of political infighting.

One day during the year 399 BC, Socrates went on trial and was subsequently found guilty of both corrupting the minds of the youth of Athens and of impiety (asebeia, “not believing in the gods of the state”), and as a punishment sentenced to death, caused by the drinking of a mixture containing poison hemlock.

The only reason that Ranil can hide his corruption and appear like a saint is because he was born to the right class and right family. Imagine if Gota had a history like this? Anura Kumara’s followers would be turning facebook on its head by now.

I have no idea why this PM is still hanging onto power when it is crystal clear that everybody wants him to step down. This is none other than his GREEDINESS for power which will ultimately going to make his life miserable. Please listen to the Buddha’s words; “Thanhaya Jayathi Soko”, which means greediness is the prime source for sorrow.

Nowhere in the letter he states “none of what he did either for the party or for
Ranil” were carried out on his order ! And he admits leading goons attacks
when and where necessary in expectation of benefits in good times of Ranil ?
Why he feels the supporters he organized for the party need a treat at Temple
Trees ? Is it not something from Mahinda that he wanted his man to copy ?
We have hundreds of reasons not to stand by Ranil without trash like this !
Even on the last part of this letter he contradicts his real intention .

  • 6
    3

Ranil is right i the sense he does not provide extra benefits to his workers, relatives or friends using public resources. Job is a job and salary is what that gets.

But this man would have been looked after privately as Ranil has enough private wealth.

Anyway, his “Close circle” seem to have got all the power.

A “Little Bit Of Shit” from the CESSPIT of UNP “HIERARCHY” has hit the “Ceiling Fan”. Where UNP is now heading has already come to the stage through the election of the Mayor and Deputy of Galle Municipal Council . We could see another “Yahapalanaya” of a different “BRAND” starting to breed from the Local Government levels.

Ranil is a lucky fellow. His party is always cleaned up by somebody. The same way Wimal is grateful to Maithree for cleaning up his party and removing those who had hidden agenda against him, Ranil will also be grateful to both Mahinda and Maithree for cleaning up his party before 2019/2020 presidential elections. I still believe that Ranil will not contest at the next presidential election. He will swim with the tide and select someone else with the consent of the majority to contest while keeping his Chairmanship in the UNP knowing fully well that the other man cannot win.
JO’s NCM is way too late. They should have done it in late 2016 when both Ranil and Maithree were weak and when there was lot of steam. Despite the outcome of the LG election, Maithree is fast strengthening his base so much so if the international community including 3/4 of Asian countries request him to contest for the second time and offer their unequivocal support, nobody, especially JO is not allowed to be surprised.

UNP is a great party..There are many UNP members who can do a lot to the country but the leadership fails continuously..and something has to be done before the Pohottuwa takes everything away from them. This is a prime example and a stern warning to the ailing RW.

HE MAY HAVE HIS OWN REASONS AND PROBLEMS TO CARRY OUT DEMOTED DUTIES BUT THE TIMING OF THIS LETTER LOOKS NOT GOOD.WHY HE HAS TO WAIT ALL THESE TIMES AND DECIDE TO RITE LIKE THIS WHEN THE NO CONFIDENCE MOTION IS ABOUT TO BE TAKEN UP.HE HAS NO REASON TO LET THIS LETTER GO PUBLIC WITH THE PRESS.

This man thinks very big of him. It is crystal clear there is someone behind this. He will never leave this place unless there is another better place than this. This is only a passing cloud to the PM.

      Paragon ,

Just imagine , this is the typical SRILANKAN CHARACTER ! He has
worked for Ranil 33 years and at the time his boss facing a test ,
HE PLANS TO WALK AWAY blaming for his dreams falling apart !
Not only the timing , there are many things that can be returned to
his face from his own story telling . And Ranil’s side of the story is
yet to come out but I don’t think Ranil will bother to do that . It is
disgusting to see even a private secretary of this height braves to
behave like a crap . What a low quality of creatures we have at the
circle of our confidantes ! This man’s trick is to shed the light on
Ranil but much of the light falls on his face without him knowing it .
I am one of those who want Ranil to go , but go respectably and that
does not mean even by ugly let downs . In such circumstances Ranil
must stand firm , not Ranil , anyone in his place .

Wheels are falling off! This guy was guarding JRJ’s Ward Place residence when Ranil saw him and ‘picked him up’. At the going rate, our Melbourne friend (with the same name as mine) is going to be the only supporter Ranil has.

For those who do not understand “Pematho Jaayahti soko.”. See how Ranil is too attached to power and has become nothing. I heard he is getting too drunk and it is much more when you are too drunk. Ranil says, he knows that KArma is a bitch.

  • 5

My understanding is that luck and fate determines ones destiny. In 1978 JRJ established the new electoral system so as to hold power with person who holds Executive Power (the President). Unfortunately in 1991 after the unexpected demise of President P a wrong person (a person without any political ingenuity) became the Executive President paving way for the smooth transition of the executive power to opposition which so far had been weak disorganized and without any clearcut political or economic vision. At the same time all genious polical leaders of the of the country were wiped out untimely by both the JVP and the LTTE leaving behind only one individual Ranil to face all the pressures surmounted by capricious power greedy politicions who lacked polical or economic insight to take the country forward as a powerful nation in the Indian. Ranil attempted two times to regain lost power in 2002 and 2015 but the same presidential executive power in the hand of wrong persons in or affiliated with opposition prevented it. The only the people can undo this trend is place him in the position of executive presidency. Until and unless it is done this political uncertainty will prevail for many years to come.

    • 1
      1

I think Ranil’s stars did not work. That is why he is trying to take revenge from gotabhaya rajapakse. He thought he could prevail for ever as a dirty clean.

    Dear all Participants,
Please bear with your PM and not trash him all the way down. He is one of the old time politician who believes in saving the members of the majority community from all and any crime or fraud his members commit. You must be thankful he has saved his friends from war crimes and big time robbing of public funds. As long as most of the direct victims are not from his community he has made counter terrorism and counter fraud to make the most wanted criminals go free and bring in new criminals from the minority communities. Why don’t you all from the majority community celebrate him?

Poor Sujith, He must have clocked up a few miles on the clock after such a long stint as one of Dr Ranil’s boys.
The rapid Liberalization which Dr Ranil put in place after Yahapalanaya, from Economics to free access to Porn sites, Condom Vending Machines and even Viagra must have increased the work load of these Loyal boys at Srikotha.
Looks like Sujith is worn out a bit.
It is natural after such a long stint.
But Dr Ranil asking Sujith to report to young Sagala must have been heart breaking.
Probably that is what broke the Camel’s back.
But it is not fair to call them ass boys…
