Resigned Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake has been appointed as the head of Rural Infrastructure Special Programme by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. According to a leaked letter this programme comes under Prime Minister’s Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs. Karunanayake who resigned two weeks ago is still using VIP security and vehicles like a powerful minster, sources close to Prime Minister’s office told Colombo Telegraph.

The ONLy difference is that Chandrika K was the Executive President then, whilst My3 is the Executive president now.
As such, the ONLY difference is RW’s approach is the response of the Executive President of the Republic of Sri Lanka.

Considering Sri Lanka politics this is not even news. MP’s accused of drug dealings had more security and perks than this during the last govt.
I know the argument will be that the last govt was corrupt and that’s why they were voted out but like everything else its easy to get into corruption but not that easy to get out.
