Resigned Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake has been appointed as the head of Rural Infrastructure Special Programme by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. According to a leaked letter this programme comes under Prime Minister’s Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs. Karunanayake who resigned two weeks ago is still using VIP security and vehicles like a powerful minster, sources close to Prime Minister’s office told Colombo Telegraph.

Wickramasinghe’s delegation. Was it an open defiance of Sirisena by Wickremasinghe?

Now, after forcing Ravi Karunanayake to resign, Ranil gives him an office at Temple
Trees. He asks him to be in charge of infra structure development of electorates. Is
this not a defiance of Sirisena? Surely it is.
What more has one to say that Ranil is not only a corrupt man but is presiding over

Are we to conclude that the cry for Good Governance (“Yahapalanaya”) was only a facade for a change of regime? Is it to be understood that Rogues in opposition then called those in Government Rogues only to get themselves the power to rob the people? Isn’t it the same thing that is now happening where the present opposition calling the Government a set of rogues? It is not a wonder for the Election Boss to report that the young are not interested in voting. What would they be interested in then? A change by the bullet?
