REAL PRESIDENT OF SRI Lanka OUT OF THE PRISON NOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO OUR BOGUS PRESIDENT RAJA HORA.
Dinuk / May 23, 2012
We need accountability for crimes committed POST-WAR by the Rajapakse regime, not just war crimes! So yes, indeed, let’s hope that SF will now do the right thing and press for power-sharing and demilitarization of the northeast which has been turned into a giant cantonment for Gota and Basil to loot under the jack boot.
Right now power and wealth of the northeast concentrated with Gota and Basil and their cronies who run Miitary Businesses on land grabbed from minorities, a practice legitimated and coordinated by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) which must be disbanded and civil administration enabled for power sharing and as a first step for ACCOUNTABILITY NOW.

It’s good news for all Srilankans. With the release of Fonseka we hope that Srilanka will have a strong opposition instead of the opposition circus led by Ranil the clown!

Max Silva / May 22, 2012
Yes,i am a licker. But licker of Srilanka. No room in this country for Tamil Tiger terror lickers.
Donald J Gnanakone / May 22, 2012
Let’s see what Fonseka can do for his 4 member party outside the parliament. First he must speak out the truth about all he knows of the war and the crimes committed by all. he cannot cover up anymore after 3 years.

The man who led the brutal military campaign against the Tamil resistance, which killed more than 40,000 innocent Tamils leaves Sri Lanka prison, while hundreds of Tamils still suffer behind the bar
OnTheFence / May 21, 2012
I think you should say ‘Tamil militancy’ rather than ‘Tamil resistance’, then you will see how lopsided your statement is. 40,000 is a guessing number put forward by Channel 4, for which there is no evidence of accuracy or legitimacy. This was done purely to heavily emphasize, or better still, add credence to the theme of their documentary ‘killing fields of Sri Lanka’. The Sri Lanka government is at fault for not doing enough by providing credible evidence based on actual body counts of deaths caused by so called ‘collateral damage’ due to LTTE using civilian population as cover. Ultimately this issue will bear uncanny similarities in the killing of Jews in Nazi concentration Camps, where anyoneone denying the holocaust will be be considered enemy of state of Israel. Anyone disputing this figure of 40,000 Tamils killed indiscriminately, will be considered an enemy of the Tamil population in SL. Unless their is a genuine desire on both sides to accept wrong doings by their leaders and armed forces, this cauldron of fire will keep burning, for a few more generations to come. God save Sri Lanka.

In fact 40,000 was a number plucked out of thin air by the Australian loser Weiss in his concocted story of revenge against Sri Lanka after he was booted out of the country. The number was semi-legalised in the report made in New York by Darusman and the two other people who had no idea about the country or the war but paid by diaspora. Channel 4, as a true British news channel who usually spreads rumour as genuine news, championed the number, with no evidence to back and giving Darusman and Weiss some undue credibility.

Is people’s faith in Fonseka based on the adage: “My enemy’s enemy is my friend” or is this man the true saviour of the nation?
I do remain uneasy about the fact that those under his command are alleged to have committed war crimes and that he may have been too eager to follow the orders of his political masters.
Perhaps he is yet another disappointment waiting to happen?

Bad time for Sri Lanka is coming to an end after long time. We need a leader like this who has guts to wipeout corruption and criminals and bring real peace to the country.
Mohamed / May 21, 2012
He is not totally released yet. His freedom is limited to 65,610KM2.
Rupert Vanderkoon / May 21, 2012
Do you mean, he can live anywhere in Sri Lanka? But if wants to be the president of the country, isn’t that what he wants?

Well! The Americans got what they want. Can anyone forget what he said four years ago “I strongly believe that this country belongs to the
Sinhalese but there are minority communities and we treat them like our people. We being the majority of the country, 75%, we will never give in and we have the right to protect this country. … They can live in this country with us. But they must not try to, under the pretext of being a minority, demand undue things,”. As far as Tamils concerned one devil will be replaced by another soon.
Max Silva / May 22, 2012
What you say is quite true.We have plenty of devils at our disposal to wipe out would be Tamil Tiger terrorists from this land.Any lunatic dreaming of Ealam, has enough space at Nandikadal lagoon!

the word is out GL has been blackmailed by USG on different issues including 13A and SF and made it hard for GL to return back to SL. Big Brother didn’t have any other options but to sign the docs and leave the country to cover the shame
the word is also out that Big Brother has assured the Qataris, that Muslims living in Sri Lanka will be heard always and the GoSL is doing a great part helping the Muslims practicing their rights equally to majority Sinhalese
Welcome SF !!! The right person be the opposition leader today and the President of tomorrow. Viva SF !

….try to make friends with your enemy …. even if you suspect each other…. if it clicks then you will be better friends ….
I’ve tried that myself… and I can assure you it is like a miracle…. the new friendship is better than the one’s that you had before with others….
The current Leadership too is doing what I say with Karuna, Pillayan and KP….. believe it or not they are the best of friends now….. not because KP shared the money with them ….. but they are great friends at their level ……not simply sleeping with the enemy… hah hah hah…
We also can be friends at our levels … after all we are all human what ?…..Good luck making friends with enemies …..

The crime of betraying one’s country, esp. by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government.
The action of betraying someone or something.
Because of his thirst for power, he threw the entire country under the bus by leaking/fabricating orders from MR and Gota thus inviting condemnation from my country and the international community culminating in the absurd UN resolution condemning GOSL.
He betrayed the Rajapaksas, at whose pleasure he served, and tried to claim the credit for the historic victory of May 2009.
In most countries high treason is a capital offense: Fonseka got a veritable slap on the wrist and is now released early because of pressure from the USG which is thoroughly brainwashed by the Tamil Terrorist propaganda machine, the most effective in human history.
The Rajapaksas shortcoming is poor Public relations compared to the very effective LTTE marketing department (the Tamil dispora and its main mouthpiece tamilnet etc)

Dear Sinhala and Tamil all we all should come under SF’s umbrella empowering him as SF would reinstate the Parliamentary democracy instead of the west minister President ship for SL.
We all lived peacefully when the Parliamentary system was there as that was the only option of power sharing.
Like in Australia give the full power to the Central Government and share the power with newly established 3state governments such as Ruhunu, Maya, Pihiti (go back to the historical method). Any nationality must allow to stay and work in any part of the island (like in Australia) by the constitute.
All the national and state departments must employ staff according to the ethnic percentage of the state and as the whole country.
No political corruptions entailed any more under SF’s government. No opposition party members are harresed under SF whether they supported him or not as I believe the majority of people are with you. Educate people to live and act as a one nation. Power-sharing must only be based to share the resources and not to give any powers to any ethnic group.Every body in the society must have access to get their official things done in any languages so that measures must introduce at the school level to educate the main three languages and at the University Entrance levels the proficiency of non mother languages must be tested and given certain scores for the University Entrance.
The examiners and the teachers must be trained to act professionally and ethically towards the social responsibility in order to build a peaceful nation.
