“Thank you for supporting me. I will dedicated mylife for you”, were his remarks as he walked free. Crackers went off in several parts of the isalnd following the release.

We need accountability for crimes committed POST-WAR by the Rajapakse regime, not just war crimes! So yes, indeed, let’s hope that SF will now do the right thing and press for power-sharing and demilitarization of the northeast which has been turned into a giant cantonment for Gota and Basil to loot under the jack boot.

I think you should say ‘Tamil militancy’ rather than ‘Tamil resistance’, then you will see how lopsided your statement is. 40,000 is a guessing number put forward by Channel 4, for which there is no evidence of accuracy or legitimacy. This was done purely to heavily emphasize, or better still, add credence to the theme of their documentary ‘killing fields of Sri Lanka’. The Sri Lanka government is at fault for not doing enough by providing credible evidence based on actual body counts of deaths caused by so called ‘collateral damage’ due to LTTE using civilian population as cover. Ultimately this issue will bear uncanny similarities in the killing of Jews in Nazi concentration Camps, where anyoneone denying the holocaust will be be considered enemy of state of Israel. Anyone disputing this figure of 40,000 Tamils killed indiscriminately, will be considered an enemy of the Tamil population in SL. Unless their is a genuine desire on both sides to accept wrong doings by their leaders and armed forces, this cauldron of fire will keep burning, for a few more generations to come. God save Sri Lanka.

In fact 40,000 was a number plucked out of thin air by the Australian loser Weiss in his concocted story of revenge against Sri Lanka after he was booted out of the country. The number was semi-legalised in the report made in New York by Darusman and the two other people who had no idea about the country or the war but paid by diaspora. Channel 4, as a true British news channel who usually spreads rumour as genuine news, championed the number, with no evidence to back and giving Darusman and Weiss some undue credibility.

Is people’s faith in Fonseka based on the adage: “My enemy’s enemy is my friend” or is this man the true saviour of the nation?
I do remain uneasy about the fact that those under his command are alleged to have committed war crimes and that he may have been too eager to follow the orders of his political masters.
Perhaps he is yet another disappointment waiting to happen?

I’ve tried that myself… and I can assure you it is like a miracle…. the new friendship is better than the one’s that you had before with others….
The current Leadership too is doing what I say with Karuna, Pillayan and KP….. believe it or not they are the best of friends now….. not because KP shared the money with them ….. but they are great friends at their level ……not simply sleeping with the enemy… hah hah hah…

Dear Sinhala and Tamil all we all should come under SF’s umbrella empowering him as SF would reinstate the Parliamentary democracy instead of the west minister President ship for SL.
We all lived peacefully when the Parliamentary system was there as that was the only option of power sharing.
Like in Australia give the full power to the Central Government and share the power with newly established 3state governments such as Ruhunu, Maya, Pihiti (go back to the historical method). Any nationality must allow to stay and work in any part of the island (like in Australia) by the constitute.
All the national and state departments must employ staff according to the ethnic percentage of the state and as the whole country.
No political corruptions entailed any more under SF’s government.No opposition party members are harresed under SF whether they supported him or not as I believe the majority of people are with you. Educate people to live and act as a one nation. Power-sharing must only be based to share the resources and not to give any powers to any ethnic group.Every body in the society must have access to get their official things done in any languages so that measures must introduce at the school level to educate the main three languages and at the University Entrance levels the proficiency of non mother languages must be tested and given certain scores for the University Entrance.
The examiners and the teachers must be trained to act professionally and ethically towards the social responsibility in order to build a peaceful nation.
