Sirisena In Election Mania Mode, Says 19A Must Be Abolished

President Sirisena has entered election mania, full on; despite being a party that actively endorsed and sponsored the implementation of 19th Amendment,he now says it dragged the country into political instability and called for it to be abolished.

Sirisena

Speaking an event at the BMICH Sirisena told media while 18th Amendment was full of dictatorial ambitions, the 19A dragged the country into complete political instability.

He says if 19A wasn’t implemented, the past four years would have been more fruitful and victorious for the government.

He adds what appears to be a personality issue is in fact a Constitutional crisis.

“Lot of people think PM and I are engaged in a tug of war but the truth is it’s a situation created by 19A,” Sirisena says adding 19A has also created a situation that has left a vacuum for a singular, overarching authority.

Sirisena also states the ‘post-mortem’ for the present government will be issued at the upcoming polls and calls for 18A and 19A to be abolished.

It is you the biggest problem, Mr President. Do not blame the foreign powers or the constitution.

The solution is to abolish all 225 + 1.
That will be done Sirisena, by the very same wrath of the people which carried you to corridors of power in Colombo.
      PACK YOUR BAGS!

        Sirisena,

Cut the crap right there buddy, ………… it wasn’t the 19A that prevented you from paying heed to the clear warnings given of the impending bombings. It was your gross stupidity, incompetence and unsuitability to be a leader of any entity ……. let alone a country.

Don’t hop around …….. face the music like a man.

But you are a “Sinhalese-Buddhist” in a “Sinhalese-Buddhist country” and you will always take cover behind it. ……….. and other half-witted like minded weak “Sinhalese-Buddhists” will always protect you.

The story of Lanka ………. in a nutshell.

        The distilled essence.

        “PACK YOUR BAGS!”

And let the clan in through backdoor.
Not to worry Mahinda has his own Ambassadors to carry his and his family’s bagages into Temple Trees, and Wimal is available 24/7/52 on guard duty.

          Native,
It is only civil to give Sirisena ample time to start packing his stolen belongings.
Then catch a frequently departing bus to Polonnaruwa from Pettah. In AC comfort with Chaturika et al. Her unsold copies of ‘PRESIDENT DADDIE’ can be sent later by truck. At taxpayers’ expense. Strictly no helicopters though.
          Cheers!
PS: In 2015, defeated Mahinda Raja ran away from Temple Trees with tail between his legs in 2 helicopters. Stolen goods stashed inside Temple Trees were ferried to Hambantota in gunny bags amid chaotic scenes. As a nation aspiring to an orderly transfer of power for 70+ years now, BTW A WORK IN PROGRESS, we ought to facilitate Sirisena’s coming unceremonious EVICTION better.

    Sirisena,

    19A abolishes 18A.

19A did not go fat enough and abolish the executive presidency, which allowed the madman which the late Dr. N M Perera warned against during the debate in 1978.

Why don’t you support the 20A tabled by the JVP, which you promised to 6.2 million voters?

Because, you are a Traitor, Sevalaya(sleaze), Pachaya (liar), Mala-Perethaya(living off the dead) etc., and you are a Sinhala Buddhist as well?

Will JVP’s 20A serve the interest of 225 and the rich crooks, criminals and war criminals. If not forget it.

It is another of those unachievable idealism which was dead on arrival just like Vaddukoddai Resolution, of 14 May 1976.

At least it will get rid of Sirisena, his dreams, and the dreams of the Rajapaksas, Ramils and other other Para-imbeciles. Remember, the Veddah chief said that the Paras have turned the land into a cesspit. The Para-monks have made their contribution well.

If ever this man is confined to a lunatic asylum he must be put in a padded cell (made of fireproof materials) and in solitary confinement. If put in a communal cell he will pose a big threat to the other inmates, possibly inflicting on them physical injuries while throwing his periodic tantrums and/ or causing them much emotional trauma by his wildly erratic conduct.

Except Dudley Senanayake, there were no honest Paliamentarians. I think the parliament runs, as the way western businesses are run. In that sense, Maithripala at least began handling, the Environment, Drug Mafia (even the Parliament has some, European Union supports it, EU is supported by MCC), Liquor (all the Liquor barons are inside parliament). I think the International community wanted Politicians to keep quiet about Zaharan, Intention was to accuse Zaharan, so many intentions).
If Maithripala Can handle the parliament, 15 up to 19 must go. I think 18 must stay but with some new provisions). that would be a lot.
Maithripala sirisena needs a Deep state to assist him from behind).
If Karu Jayasuriya contests presidential elections, all the ballot boxes will be distributed from one location and they will be full of ballots. In Congo that happened. Now there i a civil war there and they shoot at even the EBOLA LABs. Eventually, Karu Jayasuriya will be the people elected PResident.

Any constitution/amendments is/are beneficial only if implemented in the ‘spirit and letter’ of the law.
This would not suit those who would seek to be in politics for their own benefit only.
Sirisena has tasted the ‘plums’ of office and neglected warnings of dire consequences to emerging terrorism, and the Easter Massacre was the consequence.
He is unfit to continue in office.

President Maithripala Sirisena on Saturday requested that “the honorary title Athi Garu (His Excellency) or Uthumanan (Your Highness) which were commonly used over the past years to address Presidents, not be used with reference to him.” requested on 2 February 2015 ( http://www.president.gov.lk/do-not-involve-schoolchildren-for-state-functions/ )website he really meant to that, but it took 5 odd years to understand for us.

MY 3 is lying! If there was no conflict between Ranil & him, why did he have secret discussions with Sajith & Karu to replace Ranil? Why appointed MaRa as the PM illegally? Why pledged not to make Ranil PM again even if all 225 members of the parliament asked to do so? MY 3 has a habit of lying on the false conviction that all his errors are arising from honest & good intentions. He has no idea that, contrary to his false conviction, his stupidity arising from lack of education & the inferiority complex is the biggest reason for all these problem! That is why he can’t understand how to join in discussions within a democratic framework. MY 3 has yet to understand that within democracy, rulers must be willing to accommodate public participation which may come in many different form. Inability to take firm decisions & implement them is not a reflection of weakness of the democracy; rather it is the result of poverty of decisions themselves.
I suspect that this idea of going back to Ex presidency might have put to MY 3’s head by Dayan Jyathilaka who just wrote an essay praising R Premadasa (I believe that MY 3 & Dayan praising R P may be a double edged sword) . If that is true it stands as another example for MY 3’s extreme weakness of being swayed by those who present themselves as friends against his perceived rivals and/or enemies. This explains how people like Shiral Lakthilaka, Maithree Gunanratne, Wijedasa Rajapakse. Daya J etc,. were able to become so influential around him. This situation can have very dangerous repercussions on critical decisions he has to make as the Prez. Almost all his wrong decisions such as Oct 26 that led to the disastrous 51 Black days, ignoring Indian tip on 21/4 attack, chainsaw ban etc could be arising from this single source. Considering enormous harm already done only with limited powers, only a fool would want to make this fool an Executive Prez!

DP. In order to do educated things, there are university graduates. Maithripala Sirisena has 50 years of Political experience by being inside the THIEVES DEN parliament. That is what Sri lanka needed. Parliament is by brainwashed by foreign powers, particularly what sinhala, Tamil, Muslim and christian/catholic politicians say. The Parliament needs complete overhaul. If not taking decisions should bypass the parliament. Parliament is full of present foreign agents and agents who are in waiting. Maithripala Is blamed by all the National Candidate project organizers. Ranil, Mangala like people, there are many, should be handed over to Mrs. amithralngam asking her to take them to the Gall Face and do as you please. Sri lankan majority culture, Education, Health, finance and monetary policy, social values or society were destroyed the most during the Yahapalana. Ranil wickramsinghe must be the best president, he achieved the present progress only with 42 seats by UNP. 19th amendment means Part of the constitution becomes simple CRAP – papers good for wrapping KADALA. donkeys inside the parliament do not understand those. Because even via Gamperaliya, they got money saying do not quit the Sabhaga- anduwa with minorities. Every one should get together and abolish 19A and revamp 18/18! if needed.Maithripala Is under severe stress by every side. It will be difficult
One another point is Maithripala sirisena should give the bond Scam report out and allow the Attorney General to take action. Because, even PSC is political drama. another thing is any intelligence reports during the No-confidence motion. Information about foreign advisers involving in the governing should be exposed. right now Thun sinhala is Damila and Muslims kingdom governed by handful of protestants.
Sinhala 14 million, Tamils 3 million and Muslims 2 million.but sinhala people are no where to be seen.

Well, it is the President Sirisena’s own creation after coming to power by backstabbing and character assassinating Rajapakse with the unsubstantiated ‘hate speech’ against him for which he should have gone to jail and paid billions in damages and cheating the people with false promises.

He made the 19A now wants to abolish it. When uneducated people like him come to power this is the result, a typical case scenario! The best thing is first ‘abolish’ him from the post he is holding, The President of Sri Lanka and that will help Sri Lanka to recover from the mess he put the country through. After that happens the rest will sort itself out.

This is one of the most sensible observations by the Hon. President.
    /
The purpose of s19 was Ranil’s survival as PM based on his experience of being sacked twice before.
    /
Because of this corrupt amendment (he obtained by ensuring 41/2 year fixed term for the other 224 thieves in parliament, we are landed with an impotent PM and a government today.
    /
Sooner we abolish this nuisance will be the better.

The constitution should not be changed as per the requirement of an individual. In short, the President should have powers similar to the President of India There is no conflict between The President and PM in Dia. There is no election for president in India. When there is split authority then crisis starts through egoism

So, what caused this late realisation of the shortcomings of 18 A and 19 A in the Presidential mind? But why only these amendments? Was he not previously convinced of the shortcomings of the Constitution as a whole? Apart from everything else, this man has a very flawed memory. He promised that he would get rid of the Presidency. And that’s what we want him to remember. This nit picking of one section and another is of no help

First, you, the sponsor of 19A, should go home and then the 19A could be abolished.
Then, your buddy, the creator of 19A, and UNP should be eliminated from Parliament.
For the past 4 1/2 years, we saw nothing but failure, anarchy, tragedy and terror.
The toxic political setting created by you and your PM is the bane of our country.
    …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
I use this platform to talk about SOFA, VFA and ACSA, where we lose our land, air and naval rights to Americans!!!!!
We cannot trust the President as he has already extended ACSA in 2017, on the sly.
There was a surprise move by Amaraweera, Duminda and (other one, don’t remember the name) requesting UNP to present SOFA in Parliament, so that they can “discuss” about it.
I see this as a CONSPIRACY to give more weight to the agreement.
Given the past behaviour of the “Sri Lanka Parliament Private Limited”, this could be an attempt to allow the PM to get the agreement passed in Parliament.
As we all know, our Parliament does not reflect people’s voice.
For an example, when Magamapura Port Sale-for-Peanuts Act was presented in Parliament for a Vote, only 5 MPs voted against it.
The RTI, which was formulated to conceal government agreements with foreign countries, was passed in Parliament without a vote.
I can give a long list of such instances where there were no show of MPs when Parliamentary Acts that were detrimental to the country were presented for VOTING.
Therefore, there is no guarantee that these 220 will do anything to stop SOFA.
All citizens, especially Sinhalese, SHOULD RAISE THEIR VOICE AS ONE AGAINST slave government’s move to sell Sri Lanka’s sovereignty to the USA for chicken-feed.
The next President should RETURN USA’s unsolicited US$ 480 million loan, FORTHWITH.

    • 1
      1

Every country that becomes a NATO member signs SOFA. More than ACSA, the problem is there are foreigners inside finance ministry. software are being used to send all the informtion for analysis. Parliament is run by foreign advisers. KAru Jayasuriya is directly under the USAID. 15, 17, 18, 109 all should be abolished.
Only other leaders left are Ranil and Mahinda Rajapakse. They are just mirror image of each other.

This reminds me of another fantastic village usage, when a man constantly speaks out of his mind and utter nonsense. In those instances, my villagers say in simple way: “MOOTA HONDATAMA AMU KEVILA”. ( The “Amu” grain eaten too much becomes toxic) What a better way to explain this President’s mental state and public statements. He is gone “MAD”, no doubt it.

The 19th Amendment of Constitution by ex-LSSP guy is J Wickramarathna of J… political anarchist who has been advocated nation could be divided in small pieces of atoms.
This mode of political proposition was back by David of Kumar of LSSP – Trotskyist theory of that Tamil aspiration of policy of Tamil homeland for Tamil speaking races in World. They knew that very well it be most WEAKNESS NATION STATE Indian Ocean by that divided country and people by 19th Amendment of Constitution which make ground preparation for puppet regime in Colombo that will be delude govt in all aspects of political- power.
Result of 19th Amendane has created political delusive of public and other political opponents by unholy alliance of UNP, TNA, JV,P MC, CBK of Tamil federalist–SLFP, and few of that LSSPs led by Wickramasinghe of R-UNP and MS of SLFP!
In 2015 Jan 8th that called sugar coated bullets of “good governance and rule of law” was born by delightful of MS, RW and CBK of that new puppet regime came into being in our soil
The political presecapactives of Neoliberalism the motive of that aspect of USA+CIA+UNP are key stakeholders of that 19th amendment of Constitution that Partition of Sri Lanka.
Indeed which was pave way for to be partition our island for Tamils-homeland and Muslims -regional autonomy. This is what that CBK of Tamil Federalist of SLFP wanted divided by an Island for majort Tamil homeland. Well, M.Sirisena has no idea of what is going happen in 19th Amendment that unknown to him.
Becauses of that MS was born and working of Village Headmen from Polonnaruwa. While that UNP, USA +UK at that time Indian that secacted and wanted any lumpen who can be President of Island who being top of puppet of head of State in Lanka?

Just saw the video on Youtube where Ranil says King Dutugemenu could have learnt a thing or two from the UNP “apen” about village development. He said that to a Sinhala speaking audience with the same smugness as when he tried to educate a UK journalist from UK Channel 4 on a legal point. In the UK Channel 4 interview Ranil provided his brilliant legal insight as to why those ISIS returnees are in the same legal footing as those joining the French Foreign Legion and that there was nothing the Government could do legally. In both situations, the audience was left speechless by his erudite mind. We have a simpleton on one side and a vain pompous idiot on the other side who have together destroyed the country. As King Dutugemunu famously said there is no room for “the people” to stretch between the enemy and the deep blue sea.

We understand why the country could not become prosperous for 70 years. It was the Constitution- 18A & 19A. Can now we know why the country could not have a constitution that could have made the country prosperous? Because, everybody in that country is an ultra-racist, who are below 70 (Not average) Modayas.

It is in that condition Ranil bragged that his opponents thought they (UNP Lankawe) would be annihilated after the NTJ’s bombing. Isn’t the entire country is now annihilated from the time Ranil’s Hero Don Stephen took the power? When are these Sinhala Buddhist leaders going to find out about it?

Without blaming the 19th amendment of the constitution for the failure, these two politicians,Sirisena and Wickramasinghe , should blame themselves for the present plight of the country. What these two did over the past 4.5 years is undercutting each other without thinking about the country.

19A ,just like all the other amendments was designed aiming at gaining personal advantage. By implementing 19A Ranil fancied to take executive powers into his hands and that’s the sole purpose of it, not the strengthening of parliament or democracy. 18A was not dictatorial. Term limit was removed People got to elect the leader they want as many time as they want. How can it be dictatorial ?
