While the country is gripped with an unprecedented political crisis, President Maithripala Sirisena, the man who architected the current crisis, made a farcical public statement today saying he was planning to write a book about his “unsuccessful political marriage” with Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Sirisena, addressing a public event in Colombo this evening, advised those who talk about his biography ‘Janadhipathi Thaththa’ to read his new book about Wickremesinghe too. Sirisena’s biography, which has drawn the attention of social media critiques in light of the recent political developments, was authored by Sachini Navarathne and claimed to be written by his daughter Chathurika Sirisena.
Sirisena said he listened to the remarks made against him by Parliamentarians today. “I was severely attacked by MPs of one group in a one-sided debate. There was no fairness in that debate,” Sirisena said referring to the adjournment debate in the House today.
“I am willing to sacrifice both my life and my position on behalf of the country. I will either sacrifice one of the two, or both, in my quest to create a better country for the future generation, “Sirisena said. “I am certain I will not be isolated in this struggle,” he added.
Referring to the alleged conspiracy on his life that has proven to be a fabricated story, Sirisena said “traitors” and “corrupt elements” attempted to kill him. However, Namal Kumara, the man who revealed the alleged conspiracy on Sirisena’s life to media, has said he will contest the Parliamentary election on the Sri Lanka Podujana Party (SLPP), suggesting that the alleged plot was a politically orchestrated canard to oust Ranil Wickremesinghe from the premiership.

Last three weeks New King has been acting like a man mad man so we wrote here if any patients missing in Angoda, the doctors may want to check it out. There were lots of comments about his mad reactions these days in the media. Somebody even dug out some never noticed lines from Sachini Navarathne authored book, Killing Chicken and setting fire for field. These lines never showed up in media and never had it attracted the attention of anybody when they appeared in the media.
Last week media reported two people were watching pornography in the Western Provincial Codicil during the assembly time. Well what to say about that that kind dastardly acts while drawing people money as bonus for the time attended?
Those were probably the mother and the father of Friday’s two Ranil party members action, in parliament. There Dussehra was reading a book in the parliament. Mujibur Rahman accused him of reading lecherous book inside the parliament. Later, Dussehra explained to the media it was only Sachini Navarathne authored book. We don’t know why Media didn’t ignore that lousy prank those two played inside the parliament, but promptly reported that too as a serious incident.
But weeks ago, in a Colombo meeting, New King accused the butterfly partners making decision in TTH. But this fast and loose statement (It appears to have its derogatory meaning only in Sinhala Language) turned out to be very serious issue and all over from the Island and outside criticisms stemmed out condemning his sexism or gender bias.
Now we hear a failed political marriage book in the own.
Anyway, though those guys played a prank, Ranil is really numb and dumb these days.
