Sirisena Orders Lifting Of WhatsApp Ban At Midnight, Facebook To Follow Tomorrow

Following the lifting of the blockage on Viber last night, the relevant authorities are to resume the normal functioning of WhatsApp following a directive from President Maithripala Sirisena.

The Presidential Media Unit, in a media release, has stated that access to social media platforms was blocked temporarily in order to prevent the dissemination of content that could incite violence on racial and religious grounds and to prevent the organization of such violence.

The President has claimed that these measures have prevented violence and agitation from spreading.

President Sirisena has also emphasized the need to create a mechanism to stop the spread of hatred and racism through such platforms. Accordingly, the President’s Secretary Austin Fernando is due to hold discussions with representatives of Facebook tomorrow (15th) at the Presidential Secretariat to come up with such measures while removing the present blockage on the popular social media platform.

I don’t think Sirisena is trustworthy. Why was that terrorists Gnanasara seen in Japan with Sirisena? What games are they playing?

Gnanasara is fond of Sushi for Dana and a massage with a good H.E from a Japanese girl with school uniform costume which he needs that badly after running all over Kandy District in burning the Muslim shops and places of religion.

As a Kandyan I can write what I have seen from my eyes., Gnanasra is a disgrace for the Sinhala Buddhists.

Order the arrest of GoTa immediately. GoTa is behind the recent violence against Muslims and he is the architect of Mahason Balakaya. Leaders of Mahason Balakaya are poor victims of uneducated moron dictator and US Gas Station assistant GoTa. Arresting him with BBS Hora Ganaya – Galaboda Gnasara will help end current trends of violence against other ethnic groups in Sri Lanka.

No one knows that Gnanasara and Ranil had a two hour meeting the week before the riots. These riots have been carefully planned. Remember for one week there was no statement from the govt.
Sirisena was in SL at the time and did not want to see the suffering of the Muslims.

I think I can guess what will happen. Muslims will be careful not to commit hate speech. The Sinhalese will also be careful not to commit hate speech. If I go on FB and tell exactly what I think of this nincompoops – you know who they are, would THAT be hate speech? Ha ha. The Sinhalese and Muslims are going to commit united hate speech! I think now they do not fear racism. They now fear, just what the public has to say on FB. ABOUT THEM. What a juvenile Prez and a PM. They both should watch Monty Python. Get a bit of conditioning. Grow up, “Son(s) of a window dresser”. :)

The culprits behind Kandy racial tensions were well organized by 2 MP’s LR and CR and is a well known fact. Instead of taking them into custody, and the groups promoting hatred via social media , the govt. is also indirectly targeting those who highlight the foolishness of parliamentarians with humorous pictographs. Face book should not fall victim to deception of the govt. to exert undue pressure to the ordinary people as it would take off the good nature of FB. FB must remember that the President and the parliamentarians has no other job to perform other than waste time on these petty issues. The recent election showed the wisdom of the president who got only 4% of votes.
