Buddhist monk arrested for alleged gay pedophilia, transgender schoolboy entrapped in smear campaign
After state-supported homophobic campaigns in Russia, Zimbabwe and several other African countries, the Buddhist island state of Sri Lanka has also begun a systematic crackdown on its gay community, rights activists say, Gay Star News reported
President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s government, which controls the army, law enforcement agencies and the media, is now orchestrating a smear campaign against the community to project its members as criminals and pedophiles and alienate them from civil society, according to human rights defenders.
The community is alarmed by two incidents last month and the media coverage of them that portrays homosexuals as criminals and pedophiles.

Gays and Lesbians are born with their sexual orientation different from the accepted ‘normal’ relationship between both sexes.
They cannot be blamed for this.
They are a minority but are now accepted as part of society in many countries.
Sri Lanka should do so too.

Srilanka has been called long back as gay paradise in Asia.
This was what I heard from Germans,Swiss and other tourists keep coming to srilanka from mid 70ties. Thailand is for cheap sex but srilanka is known as gay paradise.
So why not they allow them due rights. Only frogs like Rajapskshes would not allow any kind of people to live in peace. That is their agenda. They are only upto corrupted governance and murderous crimes.
Now again, saying gay, they can target to kill another fraciton of the society – no matters these people are innocient, but these rulers would only attack them by every means. This is the born nature of Rajapakshes rascals.

I can never understand the link people make between homosexuality and paedophilia. “I want to *%#* full grown hairy men, maybe someone bigger and stronger than me!” A child couldn’t be further away from their wants. I’d be much more concerned about the guy who wants a short, petite, soft and gentle woman.

Gay behaviour is much more common than we think. Some are big sexual. There is a definite overlap between gays and paedophiles! Some are passive while others are active! Therefore one cannot find a perfect profile for gays!
According a majority of Buddhist monks and Catholic clergy either are gay, go with promiscuous women or are paedophiles. This is partly due to celibacy. Take the army in barracks, the junior officers are buggered by seniors sometimes as a form of a rag! It is also common in the American army or for that matter any army including, Alexander the Great! Hippocrates said ‘GAY EXPERIENCE IN CHILDHOOD (ie. CHILD ABUSE) LEADS OFTEN TO HOMOSEXUALITY IN ADULT LIFE!
How many leaders of Sri Lanka have been classified as gay??
It is a matter of gaining political advantage in spite of sub consciously knowing your sexual preferences now and in the past! POLITICIANS BEWARE old closets may open especially while being a priest, in the forces or even in school (hostels)! Remember what happened to pope Benedict ? Let the gays be alone provided they do not use the excuse to abuse children as was true of famous Sir Arthur CC!
