He made above remark at the Global Tamil Forum conference yesterday. Erik Solheim was one of the key international speakers who participated at the Global Tamil Forum (GTF) third anniversary celebrations held at the Committee Room 14, Houses of Parliament in the UK yesterday.
Senior Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and former Conservative Party Chairman Baroness Warsi however referring to de-mining process, claimed progress had been made and international community could debate Sri Lanka’s achievement in Geneva.
UK MP and former Foreign Secretary, David Miliband urged the UK and other Common-wealth members to call for a change of venue for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) scheduled to be held in Colombo.

Here a few facts for you to ponder:
1. Nearly a million slaughtered in Iraq by your allies? Lancet report. Remember the fight for Fallujah. Ealam war IV was a street fight, compared to the carnage in Fallujah, Iraq.
2. Clearing of of Taliban in Swart Valley, Pakistan with tacit support from NATO. Includes Norway. How bloody was that Solheim?
3. What’s the latest body count in Afganistan Solheim? How many have NATO killed trying to avenge 3000 deaths on 9/11 in New York? Norway, is an active participant in Afganistan. Right?
4. How many did you kill in Libya trying to remove Gadaffi with violence. Solheim’s so called Socialist Party in Norway actively backed bombing in Libya. So, brutal killing of Gadaffi OK? However, not VP?
List is extensive Mr. Solheim?
BTW, You and Norway are linked to the bloodshed in Sri Lanka directly. Here’s why. Millions of dollars to the LTTE war chest were collected in Norway over 30 years. Money used to kill Sri Lankans. Propaganda justifying LTTE killing machine was/is run from Norway. LTTE is still not a terrorist organisation according to Norway. However, Al Qaeda is. Hypocrisy is not the word, Mr. Solheim.
Further, what are you upto in London mingling with BTF monkeys? It is made up of people who are behind LTTE International. People who justified bombings, massacres and child soldiers. People whonever did anything to stop it. Hoping to realize their extremely ethno-nationlistic dream of Tamil Ealam in multi-ethnic Sri Lanka through terror. Nothing else.

There is no doubt Sri Lankans manage to save their country partly by kicking both Norway and Solheim out of the so called farce “peace process”. That was a good decision.
Sri Lanka owes a lot to SL soldiers. 6000 dead in the last phase. Thousands on wheele chairs for good. Show some respect Mr. Solheim. Just like you mourn the returning Norwegian military coffins from Afganistan. We are not asking for anything more.
Sri Lanka should declare Solheim “Persona non grata”. He has earned it more than once.
Please note I fully support investigating and punishing those who violated the laws of war in Sri Lanka. As a Sri Lankan I expect nothing less from our government. Corrupt Rajapssa clan may not do it. But, some day we must. For the sake of our country, we must deliver some sense justice even at the end of this brutal war. We do not need Solheim to tell us this basic fact.

Some misguided but well meaning Sri Lankans have suggested that Sri Lanka investigate alleged ‘war crimes’ alleged by none other than the separatist terrorist diaspora tiger lobby and their partners in crime Channel4, HRW, Amnesty International and some politicians in western countries.
However these allegations are all false based in hearsay and innuendo and no real evidence whatsoever. They are in effect made up stories to tarnish the image of Sri Lanka and to ensure that Sri Lanka is sanctioned at the current sessions of the UNHRC.
As someone who has until recently lived a long time in the west I can say with confidence that these separatist terrorist diaspora tiger lobby spreads many lies against Sri Lanka on a regular basis now for well over thirty years.
Their real agenda is definitely to partition Sri Lanka and finally create an Eelam that could not be achieved so far using the LTTEs violence, massacres, mass terrorism and bombings. The diaspora tiger lobby if they even remotely care about human rights should first and foremost apologise for the thousands of sinhala, tamil and muslim civilians who were massacred by the LTTE terrorist leadership and their tacit support of such. Then they should apologise for the civilians massacred by the LTTE using countless bomb blasts. Afterwards they should apologise for the ethnic cleansing of the north carried out by the tigers. Then they should apologise for all the prisoners of war massacred by the tigers. Then they should apologise for the child soldier recruitment. There are too many gross violations of human rights committed by the tigers to list here but they should apologise for all of them unreservedly since they tacitly supported such atrocities without question.
It is very clear that human rights are the furthest from the minds of the diaspora separatist tiger lobby. Additionally what has this lobby done to make the lives of the people in the north better? Nothing. The people of the north are much better off without them trying to use them as pawns in their dubious schemes and plans. The diaspora tiger lobby are actually trying to destabilise Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka should not waste any of its precious time or precious resources investigating gross lies spread by this tiger lobby. Instead Sri Lanka must tell the UNHRC that
(i) do not waste Sri Lanka’s time demanding Sri Lanka investigate made up stories
(ii) Sri Lanka has a massive task ahead in terms of development and peace
(iii) Sri Lanka is doing well and has achieved normalcy during the last four years and is forging ahead with peace and development restored
(iv) point out that the so called accusers i.e. the tiger separatist lobby were not so long ago supporters of a terrorist criminal gang
(iv) if any of these groups want to engage with Sri Lanka they should do so directly and bilaterally and that Sri Lanka does not under any circumstances entertain the idea of investigating unsubstantiated stories, video tapes etc. and that Sri Lanka has better things to do like running a country and taking care of over 20 million people.
Sri Lanka should be very firm and forthright in this reply. Sri Lanka should point out that all these ‘accusers can discuss any issues they have directly and bilaterally with the Sri Lankan Government and that that is it.

People of this country should be much more concern of loosing their democratic rights and freedom under MR, who is clearly a dictator.Under this man the constitution is thrown out of the window. He behave as he wishes. People thought that when the Executive and Legislature (both under absolute control of MR) take all possible measures to deny the people of their their rights, the Judiciary would come forward to protect their rights. Even that little hope is faded away with the forced removal of the CJ who rejected number of bills that were clearly unconstitutional. She was simply thrown out denying her right to prove her innocence. All media institutions too under absolute control of the MR and decline to report government wrongdoing but do not admit that their freedom has been denied by MR regime. Opposition is run by another stooge of Rajapakse who is unconcerned about the plight of the people. Only hope people now have is the International community. Solheim was not the and never was the Peace envoy.
He did not know Prabhakaran or even The Balasingams until Ranil won the elections on December 5th 2001, and decided officially to go ahead with the peace process and CFA. Norway was the facilitator and Solheim was appointed by the Norwegian government to be the lead man.
That negotiations began on June 2, 1996 and Balasingams were never in the loop. It was a work in progress for many years. The current PM of the TGTE Rudrakumar can vouch for that, and he will never be able to deny it, although he never contributed towards it until after 22nd of February 2002.
Ironically, these Tamils and KP/NY Karuna also contributed giving bad advise to the LTTE in Vanni to boycott the Presidential elections and install the Rajapakses in power in 2005. Tamils need to understand how and why their miseries have mounted and not only blame the Sinhala voter and Chandrika Bandaranayake (first cousin of Senator Seniviratne) for dissolving the Parliament and paving the way for the Rajapakses to power.

And one thing that those who talk of 40,000 civilians being killed in the last stages of the war have never explained is how the armed forces got rid of all those corpses – and all that within ‘enemy territory’ while the bullets were raining on them, and within such a short period of time.
Eric Solheim is a joker. He is the man who maintained that Prabhakaran could not be beaten militarily and no doubt told VP so, pandering to his already warped way of thinking.
