Ten Theses On Sri Lanka’s Existential Crisis: Roots, Dynamics, Dimensions

By Dayan Jayatilleka –

Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka

1. The crisis has deep national, social and psychological roots. Our island contains two consciousnesses or two types of consciousness, two competing states of mind. Contrary to myth, the periphery of our island has the longest uninterrupted colonial history in the world; 450 years, from 1505 to 1948. This has resulted in a residue, sedimentation in the consciousness. There are elites, classes, strata, who have a dependent, colonial, pro-imperialist, puppet, parasitic existence and mentality.  Not all the classes that live in the island’s urban periphery have such a consciousness, but there are handfuls that do, together with their supportive petty bourgeois and lumpen strata. This was the Lipton Circus crowd. In the political lexicon these are known as comprador or intermediary classes, elites; intermediaries between imperialism and the nation.  The UNP’s current leadership and its supporting civil society represent this comprador consciousness. This has not always been the case with the UNP, and one of the island’s least comprador and most patriotic leaders, Premadasa, was also the leader of the UNP—but he was an exception, not the norm, just as Chandrika Kumaratunga was an exception to the collective consciousness of the nationalist SLFP; not the norm. President Sirisena seemed to be a successor to her but he was not and has now returned to the SLFP’s nationalist norm.

2. The crisis then stems at least in part from the contradiction between a UNP leadership which is neoliberal globalist even by the UNP’s standards, and a Head of State and government who is a moderate nationalist and populist in his consciousness. This should come as absolutely no surprise because it was precisely his nationalist-populist profile that made those who reached out to him as candidate in 2005, do so—because it was only such a profile that could cut into the SLFP vote, splitting it between a Rajapaksa vote and a moderate SLFP one. This was the same strategy that was adopted when General Sarath Fonseka was made the candidate. The point was to break the Sinhala Buddhist vote by means of a dissident or defector, because the UNP leadership, unchanged and entrenched as it was, could not do so on its own. The present contradiction between the President and the current UNP leader is but a mild version that would have manifested itself had Gen Fonseka won the presidential race. The inevitability of this contradiction is proved by the sacking of the same Mr. Wickremesinghe in 2003 and his defeat at a snap election in 2004, called by the cosmopolitan liberal SLFP leader, President Kumaratunga.

3. It is an untruth that President Sirisena owes Mr. Wickremesinghe more than Mr. Wickremesinghe owes him. If not for Mr. Sirisena, President Rajapaksa would not have been defeated by Ranil (which is why Gen Fonseka was made candidate in 2010). If not for the defeat of President Rajapaksa, Mr. Wickremesinghe would not have made it to the Prime Ministership. If not for President Sirisena’s intervention in August 2015, Mr. Wickremesinghe would not have been PM by means of an election. Had President Sirisena appointed a Special Presidential Commission into the Central Bank bond scam instead of merely a Presidential Commission, and had he intervened to ensure that Dappula de Livera was not prevented from cross-examining the then PM, Mr. Wickremesinghe would not even be in legally dubious occupation of Temple Trees.

4. What we are witnessing is not a struggle between democracy and dictatorship. It is a struggle between two models of democracy: Anglo-American liberal democracy and French, Latin American and Russian Presidentialist democracy, with directly elected executive Presidencies being the hub and center of gravity of the system. Russia calls its variant, “sovereign democracy” in which “vertical power” is stronger than in Anglo-American liberal democracy with their emphasis on the separation of powers.

5. This crisis is an existential crisis for the nation. Political systems of nations change and change back, but the nation and its State must go on. A small island nation cannot survive if its ports airports roadways and oil tank farms are given over to foreigners and its provinces given quasi-federal powers. We simply do not have the geopolitical space for that. We have no safe rear. No defense in depth. We are a mere 18 miles from a hostile Tamil Nadu. This is the permanent situation exemplified by the story of the insomniac Prince Dutugemunu who felt acutely hemmed in. Our military’s morale was being targeted by the Geneva resolution. Our people would have been reduced to penury by the neoliberal budgetary policies and the cutbacks, the economic shock therapy that was being administered. Our people would have been reduced to semi-serf status.

6. The crisis takes place in a global setting and the global contestation has local echoes. I don’t like people telling me what to do, or rather, trying to tell me what to do, especially when it is hypocrites responsible for millions of needless deaths who do the telling. The world is dividing into powers that stand for a multipolar world order in which sovereignty is respected and every nation gets to be the best and most that they can in keeping with their choices and distinctive ways, and those others who wish to preserve what they call a liberal world order in which they are the undisputed leader. It is the latter and their allies who try to tell us what to do with and in our own country while they are in a mess in their own (punctuated by mass shootings), and devastate other countries all the while. The first category, those who stand for a multipolar world, do not interfere in our domestic affairs; do not patronize us and are respectful of Sri Lanka’s sovereignty and sense of self worth. It is our good fortune that foremost among such countries are the world most populous and the world’s largest, China and Russia; one with a powerful economy, the other with a powerful military and outstanding leadership. It is our good fortune that these two countries have an ever closer partnership. It is our good fortune that Russia and China  taken together constitute a large Eurasian space.

7.  is a global battle being fought out with the hegemonic power, which is  in slow parabolic historical decline like all empires eventually are, tries to contain both Russia and China at the same time—thereby making a huge grand strategic mistake and becoming hugely overstretched. This Eurasian option is on the rise, though the declining empire hopes to use its military and economic power, diminishing as these are in a relative sense, in a desperate gamble to weaken Russia and China. The declining hegemonic power had constructed an Asian sub-system and seeks to keep us locked inside it, so we cannot connect up with our true friend, whose economic power we need, namely China. These hegemons try to keep in place or restore as our rulers, those local stooges who will maintain our island as a base for their effort against China. Thus they interfere in our affairs and even try tactics worked out in places as widely disparate in geography and time as Guatemala and Iran in the 1950s, to Chile in the 1970s and the so-called Color Revolutions in the 1990s and the disastrous Arab spring of the last decade. This includes the Ukrainian model of forcing an elected President out of power.

8. The bottom line is this: who owns our island? Who will inherit it? Those who care enough for it to fight of its independence, sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity and autonomous way of being, including a way of being in the world? Or the puppets and stooges, the compradors and lackeys of a declining Empire?

9. History shows us that a nation will fight for its existence and its autonomous way of being. Sri Lanka did not cave in despite thirty years of virulent terrorism at the hands of a truly globalized and formidable, suicide-bombing terrorist army. It knew whom and in which direction to turn to in order to survive and prevail. And it did so, all the while keeping its democratic system intact. This time too, in the face of the existential crisis and threat, Sri Lanka will turn among its many choices, to a democratic option that can do the job, breaking through resistance of the puppet elites of the long-colonized coastal cities.

10. What we are seeing now, the realignment of President Sirisena and Prime Minister Rajapaksa, is as good as it gets when it comes to a soft landing; a soft transition from the neoliberal model. If however, it is forced by neoliberal local resistance and external interventionist pressure, Sri Lanka will, in the existential interests of national survival and recovery, adopt the tougher-minded Eurasian political and more importantly, economic model of a populist-nationalist democracy which does not conform to the norms of liberalism still less neo-liberalism, or even shift to a strong centralized state which had yielded magnificent results in Singapore and China. We shall see, no later than this time next year.

Bovine excrement by a discredited academic, who at every stage, loves to push himself as an intellectual. Really intelligent people and intellectuals do not promote themselves and insist they know best. CPA chief and NPC chief also fall into this category of bloviated egotistical men who have not done a hard days work in their lives.

The reason why the entire Pro Majoritarian promoters are backing this criminality Sirisena has embarked is the SINHALA ONLY agenda. The sumbags who are so called Intellectuals, Professors, Mahanayakes, Judges, Doctors, Professionals and even former leftist dumbos who are backing the Anti Democratic actions is, that no matter what, the SINHALA ONLY agenda is always rescued at the last minutes when its existence and its functioning which is guaranteed with every govt that comes into power, is theatened. The Yahapalana concept is a big hurdle for the GOVIGAMA RULING ELITE MAFIA which is owning all the mainstream parties and have fielded their undercover and openly visible agents as Sinhala leadership who speak on Sinhala Buddhist domination that denies rights to the minorities. This is why they always prefer a RACIST govt or a RACIST hardline leaders like SWRD, SIRIMAVO, JR, MAHINDA to take over the system. Racism is carried forward by all leaders through soft and hardline scums who became our PMs and Presidents. Even the Gota Presidency was promoted to achieve this unbroken tradition of the Jewish backed GOVIGAMA MAFIA ELITES. The current urgency of the Sinhala Zionist Govigama establishment is to start the WAR on ISLAM back again as they did for the last 5-6 years in continuity. A Racist govt is a must for this goal. So, Sira MaRa combo set up is a need of the hour. What Dayan sees good in the present crisis is just that.

There are lot of proofs and signs available to connect the Fascist pseudo Democracy under which massive human rights violations are repeatedly committed by successive Govi controlled govts from 1948. There are many instances where UNP members joining hands with Mahinda during his evil rule to help him in War with the LTTE that ended in allegations of War crimes. The West and the UN system gave too much leniency to the Sinhala Political leadership and their killing machine to take their own time in addressing the crimes issue. This is a sign that the Govigama leadership is strongly linked to the Zionists and thus given total impunity. The pogrom against the recntly concluded Kandy Digana State sponsored terrorism on the Muslims is a notable incident. As expected, the main schemer and the accused who was in jail, have now got the Bail from the Govi controlled Judiciary while the leadership who gave the orders to burn down Muslim peoperties were never identified although its known to the Intelligence service of the military. The criminal Sirisena spoke about culprits of the anti Muslim violence in a recently release audio recirding. This anti Muslim project is a Global Geo Political project involving the Sinhala Buddhist Govi Mafia establishment along with the Brahmin crminals of RSS BJP Modi structure and with the partnership of Ma-Ba-Tha Wirathu Terror outfit and the Aung San- Myanmar Junta combination in a Grand Alliance. Even JVP comes to the help of the Govi Fascism when its really required. All of them belong to ONE TEAM but play differently to confuse the masses and to confuse the International Public opinion.

He is obsessed with Tamil Nadu as this is where his low caste Salagama ancestors originated from. Brought from the Coramandel coast by the Dutch during a famine to work as slave indentured labour in the huge southern Cinnamon estates . Not only he but most of the Sinhalese are obsessed with Tamil Nadu for the same reason. The called prince DuttuGemunu lived 2300 years ago and there were no such people called Sinhalese or Sinhalese language existing at that time. They were all Tamil speaking Hindu or Buddhist Naga/Yakka. This is why his father’s name was Kakkai Vanna Theesan or Kaavan Theesan both Tamil names. This war had nothing to do with Sinhalese or Tamils as depicted now ( as there were no such people called Sinhalese existing ) but between the old order than ruled Anuradhapura , the Hindu Tamil establishment and the newly converted Buddhist Tamil speakers. That these converted Tamil speaking Naga/Yakka later evolved in to Sinhalese is another story but at that time they were all Tamils

        Usual Bull Shit!
There are a few Demalu brought by colonial pigs who became Sinhala by choosing Sinhala language as their mother tongue and embracing Buddhism or Christianity. The rest are real Sinhalayo evolved in Sinhale. Sinhala language is unique and has nothing to do with Demala. All the guys who speak Demala are the descendants of invaders from Hindia, slaves brought by colonial parasites and Kallathonis who entered illegally.

Bottom line: MS badly advised by his advisors to support the 19A. MR’s troops also supported this poorly drafted amendment. It’s part of the constitution now, albeit a security blanket for a person who now preaches democracy but clung like a limpet to the leadership position against all principles of democracy. Too late to rewind the RW insurance policy that our fools issuedto him.

We cannot counter this long gibberish; but some points.
    1. Today’s turmoil in Lankawe is Thero’s disastrous failure in Geneva, 2009. If Thero had closed the chapter in 2009, last week parliament’s turmoil would not have been there. Instead of managing the that crisis on his own, in Geneva, imbecile Thero fell down on Sonia feet and begged to save. Sonia is gone. So the sari Thero hiding is now open and Thero is now naked to open fire. Thero begged Sonia for a loan too, abandoning IMF. That altered China and China has come through that door to grab Thero’s hair.
    2. UNHRC wants a reply in March 2019 for its 2009 question for Thero. Because it is going to rain in Geneva, already Sinhala Buddhist Murderous chauvinist are carrying their umbrellas inside the Diyawanna Lake Palace. (It is not a dead end, nor no reply can be given to satisfy them- But there are no Sinhala supporting actress placed in Geneva, so from Tilak to Azeez are not working as hard as GLP though Sajin vas.. Deva time.) That is the stampede-Rush inside the parliament. Every Sinhala Buddhist Chauvinist is fighting without even wearing an Amude.
    3. Just like Thero claimed he saved Old King, Ranil has been claiming the same from Jan. 2015. Though he claimed he dismantled the UN Electric Chair, but now it is remade and oiled. Then New King wanted to compete for the share, while he himself in the fire. He returned empty handed in October after UN meeting. That added more fuel to the fire. This new drama is in consultation of the three “Ranil-New King -Old King”, Even Thero is in that for transferring Russian advices. They hope UNHRC back off seeing this Chili Bomb fires. The Sinhala Buddhist Modayas only believes Thero’s theories coming out of Vodka Alcohol fed brain, but not any living life which’s brain get fed with blood sugar.

        Taraki,

you should be in Parliament Thanks man.

You understand that I might have made a difference within the co-conspirator teams of Ranil’s Yahapalanaya and the Old King’s Chitanta cliques. Aren’t you?

They broke the chairs in parliament and bombed the parliament with Chili Water Bomb only to convince the world that they two groups were together carrying out a coup. But against whom Yahapalanaya and Chitanta rowdies were carrying out their coup? Against Tamil? West? UNHRC-UN? Or is it against the entire world?

They all are rowdy, cheating rascals man. If I were there I would have whipped them all with Thirukkai Vaal from top to bottom all though in the hierarchy.

It is a cursed country, man to enact such a nasty drama all getting together. Poor Modayas have no option but to believe these .

        Serious questions,
why should “Sinhala Buddhist” enrage you?
What is the meaning of “Sinhala Buddhist” and “Sinhala Buddhism”. I know of only Sinhalese, Sinhala and Buddhism. When, where and why did the those Sinhala speaking people start calling themselves as “Sinhala Buddhist”?
When racists, bigots, ……………… call names of other people it seems your conscious is not bothered.

Rajiv Gandhi’s and SWRD’s deaths were connected wit the west. I strongly think that R Pemadasa’s death is also one carried out by the west. Because RP was going against Meo-Liberalism which started by JRJ.

    4. This created a competition between Ranil and Old King, i.e who saves the War Criminals. Ranil fears his technology may fizzle. So, he thinks if Old Idiot has real strategy, he is ready to back off. But Old Idiot has no idea of what he is fighting against; thinks if he grabs the army and spread terror against the citizens all over the country, UN will be subdued. He is just showing a little bit of sample in the parliament of what is going to take place throughout the country. He knows Sinhala Buddhist Modayas, who loved annual celebration of pogroms will love this.
    5. Ranil’s short-term plan is, “start the Secret Solution game, keep Sampanthar occupied not meeting Diplomats & paste with the OMP and repatriation games and drag it until March 2019. If UNHRC is harsh on him, then teach them the same lesson he did in LG election. Set the election date and leave it un-campaigned and Old King Unchallenged. Old King will come to power; that is a slap on the face of the West, but much stronger one than his Oxford speech.
    6. Thero knows them all are working together. Old Royal almost every day either directly or through intermediary talking with Ranil. Because Thero has Cuban Communist PhD he thinks his two consciousness theory will be sold easily (first there no plural in English for “consciousnesses” second there is nothing new in that, entire Western democracies, who operate on Ruling- Opposition, Left-right political divisions, though countries are at various stage.) Unlike the Aappakaraya who gave the ambassador job to Thero, Thero is faithful dog; if somebody had put alms in his bowl, then they are the greatest ever born (Aappakaraya, Richard.P); but if like JR, strip him naked and beat him, he then he joins the road rowdies, who entered into the parliament with a placard of “Slap Party “ .

  • 2
    1

    7. They may, eventually, internally settle down on who saves the War Criminals (Ranil or Old King), so no more blowing up on Diyawanna Lake Building with Chili Water Bombs. But it doesn’t solve the problem in the global sphere for Lankawe because China is not there to back off. China’s arrival is permanent, even if the Island Ceylon is sunk into Indian Ocean with neutron bombs. If Ceylon is sunk, China will be building and artificial island on that spot claiming that is an area falling within South China Sea.
    8. “ declining empire hopes ……………………. to weaken Russia and China “ Our pathetic soul Thero miserably failed to save Old Royals in UNHRC, which was well within an ambassador’s commonsense talk by accepting and pleading war crime guilt, instead hiding behind “Zero Casualty” talk. Now the fool is shedding lot of tears to save Russia and China from the empire? Then why didn’t he save USSR, which carried double the amount of all kind of arsenal than America in its high time?
    9. Russia will be a pussy cat in 10 years. 10 countries will be above it. Japan has no way but to start on atomic search to balance China. That time it will have the best bombs in the world. Germany will return to Western Europe as Communist Markel’s story is finished. If North Korea agrees to join South, the Russia’s existence will be questioned. So, Chinese are not idiots to go with Thero’s advice. Their eye is on splitting India from West. That is what they call defense.
    10. Thero’ Cuban communism is gone. While Lankawe has gone below Cuba, Cuba may turn into a Singapore in 10 or 15 years; only because the ghost who possessed Cuban’s called Castro is gone. Thero emptied his wine bottle but accidently has found the a Vodka bottle. So his show is to keep going.

Difference between a ‘Baiya’ PM and a ‘Royal Toiya’ PM. In 2015, when Sirisena got elected as President, he appointed Ranil as the PM while there was another PM (Mr.D.B. Wijetunga) who had the support of 152 MPs. This ‘Baiya’ PM respected the decision taken by President and left TT without claiming that he has the majority and still the PM or running after foreign Diplomats asking for help to remain as PM.
    ——————-
In real contrast to the behavior of ‘Baiya’ PM, the ‘Royal Toiya’ PM who lost his post after the collapse of the National Government and removed by the President from his post is squatting in TT saying that he has the majority and still the PM and running after foreign Diplomats asking for their help. If this ‘Royal Toiya’ had an issue with constitutionality of his removal, as a lawyer he knows very well that the place to go is SC for their verdict. He did not do that. His behavior is similar to a ‘Mariakade Thug’ who was evicted by the landlord.

    Hail Dr. Dayan!

While the common man will certainly love to hurl insults at you, that is, of course the pinnacle of their intellectual achievements, I would like to respond to you as an intellectual to an intellectual.

There is an equal uncouthness in these Colombo Telegraph pages that mirrors that of Parliament, with its knife-wielding, chilli throwing, punching representatives of our People. No matter, we now know who these examples of good citizenship are in parliament, hopefully those here will not change their names like I do to escape adverse comments.

Now on to the article: very insightful, as usual, but there are some questions I would like to ask of you?

The first one is that it may be advantageous to Sri Lanka to even temporary have a RW type government to take the heat off us so to speak, as a sort of ju-jitsu maneuver.

The deeper question is, if a majority of our people prefer to, in their words, suck up to or lick or whatever that means, the foreign powers, what is that to you? Do patriots own the island? (not the newspaper although a case could be made). What right do we have? – can there be democracy without sovereignty? Can we resist a foreign power?

  • 5

The problem is you represent my motherland as ambassador which is shame to me. No time to read your biased explanation of MR and MS unethical, unconstitutional acts. No one tolerate that. The days and truth will be come soon.

I beg to differ with 1 and 2 thesis in your article.
    1. The current situation has nothing to do with class, elites or puppets. Look hard. This crisis has emanated from a personal dispute between “Maithri and Ranil.” Actions taken by the President so far were not within the context of a democratic framework and his tyrannic move to hold the Parliament to ransom is unjustifiable.
    2. UNP’s leadership crisis is their own and nothing new. It existed for decades. Other than the President and the UNP, I don’t think anybody else is interested. As far as I know, there is a procedure to follow when choosing leaders of any political party. The controversial manner in which the President received SLFP leadership may have the reason for his undue interference in UNP’s leadership. It seems that he expected one of the UNP MPs to grab the leadership in the same manner.
I don’t see any “nationalist sign” in the present crisis created by the President.
As clearly seen, the President “now” wants to stay away from the UNP as they have earned people’s wrath. Alright, we need to give some space for people to correct their mistakes. It is interesting to note that it took him 4 years to think straight. I still don’t think President’s sudden decision to appoint former President as the PM under the moonlight do any good to him or the country. As seen, his honour is at stake right now.
President has a habit of creating crisis after crisis in the recent times, whenever he is in the country to pass the time obviously. This is also one of them. This will be over when he is tired and feels the need to take a break overseas.

As usual several commentators have shown that they are not capable of a rational discussion. Symptomatic of those in the Parliament. I think we have got the Parliamentarians and leaders we deserve. Anyone who writes/comments rationally, is labelled as pro MR. Shooting messengers is the easiest thing to do. Heading a message needs some brains

    Dr D,

Are you aware that the loss to the country due to the previous government giving the sea patrolling contract to avant-garde is the same as the loss due to the bond scam ? if this is the case, MR and Family also should be stripped of their civic rights as well, don’t you think

Of course Ranil is so dumb that he doesn’t know when and how to strike the killer blow, hence he is in this predicament as usual

    Dayan
“SLFP’s nationalist norm” – Yes, they’re now American citizens, children married to Trailer Park Whites; Or in the Middle East washing Arabs’ privates.
So your classification is wrong. There are only two types of Sri Lankans:
Good people & assholes like you.

This PUBLIC Racist – Dayan Wesigeputha Jayathilaka is known to many that fought against state racism in the country. His genetics should be mixed long before. That may well be the reason bugger not to name him as Dayan Silva going by his father who was then with Bandaranayakes and maintained some respect in this country.

To me, DJ is almost like SIRISENA please read below

DJ until he was awarded with the AMBASSADOR position, if you guys would compare it within the last 3 years, from the articles he himself brought to CT alone were bitterly against, Ranil Wickramsinghe going by his personal vendetta.
And whatever the step Ranil moved forward were criticised and even shamelessly stood with Wimal weerawanse in Nugedoga stage. There he vehemently opposed to MS-RANIL govt
See any child would get, this bugger would only be selfish for his perks. If he woudl have been asked to BE THE CURRENT TOILET to those men, he would forget everyting at once and fulfil it for the moment.

Likewise, Ballige putha Sirisena, to this day, has fully forgotten the mandate of 62 lacks of varied people of this country, only wanted to SEE a future without RAJAKSHE AUTHORITARIANIM:
Those 62 lacks of voters (52% ) never asked about anything else but to punish Rajakashe high profile CRIMEs.
But today, Sirisena though points the finger at Hon. Speaker as saying him being not impartial, but SIRISENA all along does anythign to protect his former bitter enemies.
How could these men ever bee CONSISTENT ?
If this country would have been blessed with SHARIA or the like harder laws, these men would long have been BEHEADed to pave the way for people to comfort their angers.

That joker Lloyd Fernando is still wedded to the idea that good governance will win the day! It’s high time for Uncle Godfrey to give Lloyd a drubbing when he visits Marga next.

I really don’t know what was the objective in providing this historical ideological analysis, is it to say that there are essentially 2 dominant mindsets in SL, or is it to justify and whitewash this lawless behaviour at any cost, which DJ himself exposed to MR in which he claimed in a private capacity. Whether private or public, the thinking at the pinnacle of power is to not let go. When China, Russia and a host of other countries have evolved their models to respond to the globalised economy and bring success to their economies and citizens, DJ is stuck in a time warp, justifying the paralysis by his over analysis disregarding the damage.

But he as inconsistent deliverer need to show that he is there.

He lives in a world where he thinks he is the expert .. and everything but others are nothing…. got it.. But the very same stpuid person is caught by betraying his to an idiot who now betrayed almost 62 voters whobrought him tot power.
      Can you imagine ?

This man by the time he would die, will have to face a flood of spit rain on his coffin.
People hat ethe guy so as to SIRISENA and Rajakashe.

On the dark, cold wintry nights in Moscow, Dayan Jayatilleka remembers some of the flashy words he used as a young revolutionary leading fellow citizens to emancipation. He has used some of them here. For example, what for is the title ~ “Ten Theses On Sri Lanka’s Existential Crisis: Roots, Dynamics, Dimensions”?
How about the simpler “MR must ride again”.
The ten theses are glorified bullet points.
    .
Dayan was heard singing “Valery its cold outside”.
Of course he imitated, rather badly, Dean Martin’s “Baby its cold outside………”.

It is astonishing that Dr Jayatilaka resorted writing to CT again having been severely criticised by comments from all corners of the world on 3 November. Art of writing is to express views in simple flowery language of such eloquence so readers would enjoy. Instead your writing is literally convoluted and bamboozle readers. It appears that readers do not buy what you write.
Our country have reached a cross road! At this juncture it is helpful if yo do not muddy the water. Do no harm -Henry Marsh.
