The Evil That Rulers Do…

By Tisaranee Gunasekara

“A state of permanent war….where violence pervades all spheres of life, where the rich flourish and the poor live in misery; a state that will be deserted by the best of its children? – Yuri Avnery (Countercurrents)

Last week, the Cimmerian darkness enveloping Sri Lanka was breached by a spark of resistance. The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) decided to invite the lawful Chief Justice of the country, rather than the usurper, to grace its annual convocation.

In a country becoming habituated into fear and submission, the principled decision by the BASL – and its new president – was both rare and laudable. It demonstrated that courage is not dead in Sri Lanka. More pertinently it reminded the rest of society of the necessity – and the possibility – of resisting the Rajapaksa plague.

The Rajapaksas, shocked by this unexpected sign of independent life in the legal community, are resorting to their usual tactic of demonisation. A group of tamed SLFP lawyers accused the BASL and its new President of being LTTE proxies. Somehow the charge lacked vigour and credibility, probably because the Tiger has been dead, manifestly and uninterruptedly, for almost 4 years.

Therein stems the Siblings’ desperate need for a new enemy, an enemy terrifying enough to frighten the absolute majority of Sinhalese into mute compliance.

The Rajapaksas would be particularly loath to let the legal community find its feet, its voice and its path again.
The moment Shirani Bandaranaike arrived at the BASL convocation, the Attorney General reportedly left it. Had the AG’s Department retained its relative autonomy, perhaps the AG could have acted with greater courage. But one of the first moves of the Rajapaksas, after their 2010 electoral triumph, was to place the AG’s Department under presidential control. Today the AG is nothing but a Presidential-cipher. His job is to persecute Rajapaksa opponents and protect Rajapaksa acolytes. The decision to release Minister Mervyn Silva’s errant son and the politically-connected suspects of Kahawatte serial killings is evidential of this altered role of the AG.

SLFP lawyers accused the BASL and its new President of being LTTE proxies.

The attackers of the Pepiliyana branch of ‘Fashion Bug’ have been released, as were those who attacked the Jaffna TNA meeting. This week the ‘Uthayan’ newspaper was attacked again. Even if the police manage to catch the culprits, the AG will not press charges.

The Rajapaksas need to be able to break, bend, circumvent, ignore and create laws in order to enhance their power, riches and wellbeing.

According to media reports, Shashindra Rajapaksa, the son of Speaker Rajapaksa, will continue as the Basnayake Nilame of the Katharagama Devalaya, sans an election, thanks to the special gazette No. 1807/39, issued on March 15th by his Uncles’ government. “The gazette….has exempted Ruhunu Katharagama Devale….from clause 12  (a) of Buddhist Viharas and Devalagam Temporalities Act which states that the period a person could hold the post of Basnayake Nilame could be extended only by two years” (Lanka – 23.3.2012). Without that Avuncular intervention, Mr. Rajapaksa would have had to face an election in order to retain his post; now he need not. Incidentally, according to the normal law Mr. Rajapaksa cannot be Chief Minister and Basnayake Nilame, simultaneously. But his Uncles’ government nullified that legal bar via another gazette (1614/30 of August 14th, 2009).

The Rajapaksas do not care about the people, the law or even supposedly hallowed traditions. Their sole concern is to rule supreme and rule eternally.

The anti-Muslim hysteria orchestrated by the BBS fits in perfectly with the Rajapaksa agenda. Not only will the Muslim bogey enable the Siblings to silence Southern dissent and justify even the most appalling acts of repression and deeds of injustice. It may also enable them to worm their way into Indian/Western good books. Gotabhaya and Basil Rajapaksa have chosen to retain their US citizenship; they have families and properties in the US. Thus an escalation of Western animosity towards Colombo can hurt them, personally. With the Rajapaksas, anti-imperialism is just a convenient banner and not a genuine conviction. If the West can be persuaded to overlook the Siblings’ misrule and other crimes, Colombo will be perfectly happy to fall in line with Washington and London.

Perhaps the Siblings look at Afghanistan, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Mali and Uganda and think that turning Sri Lanka into a ‘frontline-state’ against ‘Global Islamic terrorism’ is the way to win Western favour, while pursuing the path of Familial Rule and Dynastic Succession with total impunity. Perhaps they are looking beyond an Obama administration to a Republican Washington with Islamophobes controlling all the levers of power and influence. Perhaps they are hoping for a BJP-led government in Delhi, with an arch-fanatic like Narendra Mohi as the PM. Currently CM Modi is persona-non-grata in the US due to his supposed role in 2002 Gujarat Riots. But a Republican Congressional delegation recently visited Gujarat, lauded Mr. Modi and invited him to visit Washington. Do the Rajapaksas think that in a few years there will be a Republican-BJP axis and that they can find their niche in this Islamophobic alliance?
A pipe-dream? Indubitably; but pipe-dreams can be perused, often at uncountable cost.

Towards a Wasteland

Religious extremism was a key reason for the downfall of the mighty Spanish empire.
When Louis XIV of France revoked the Edict of Nantes, Huguenots departed for more tolerant lands. Most of the Huguenots were skilled craftsmen (especially weavers). There was a direct correlation between this mass emigration and the subsequent economic blossoming of countries such as England and Netherlands which welcomed the Huguenots and benefited from their skill and know-how.

BBS’s Rabble-Rouser-in-Chief, Rev. Galagoda-Atte Gnanasara Thero wants to build an army of Sinhala-Buddhist vigilantes. In his infamous Maharagama speech he said, “There are goni billas everywhere; bearded men everywhere…. Today, after this Maharagama meeting, every adult, every youth, including monks should become unofficial cops…. Because of this democratic nonsense the nation is being destroyed…. From today we must become the unofficial policemen of the nation…” Using words, images and figures to compel a nation to go out of its mind and then inducing that psychotic-nation to attack a minority is not new in history. The Nazis, for instance, were masters at it. As Reinhard Heydrich pointed out, “Today the German population forces the Jew to behave himself. The control of the Jew through the watchful eye of the whole population is better….”i

Vigilantes are mobs; mobs lack pity, decency, humanity and basic intelligence. The BBS way will pave the way to another Black July.

Last week, a member of the Maharagama UC abused a 12 year old girl. That is not a rumour but a fact. No monks demonstrated against the child-abuser; no mobs attacked him, even though the victim was a Sinhala-Buddhist child. Clearly the BBS policy is that crime is a crime only if the perpetrator is Muslim/Tamil/Christian and the victim is a Sinhala-Buddhist.

The public threatening of Cricket Board officials/cricketers by a BBS-offshoot indicates that the current pandemic of fanaticism will not spare even those Sinhala-Buddhists who refuse to abide by the BBS dictats.
The activities of these ‘Mara Sena’ (Forces of Death) might help the Rajapaksas stay in power forever; but they will make Sri Lanka an unliveable land for more of its people.

The AG’s dept was brought under the president and now all the AG’s are afflicted with the disease of freeing criminals from their convictions. It is strange that when we have judges and courts the verdict comes from above via AG to drop all charges. This is a bad joke where victims have to go home without justice and guilty drive away in luxury. No evidence, no case. I wonder if the secretary to the commonwealth has any doubts about the rule of law and latimer house principles in Sri Lanka.

It is astounding that a gonibilla in safron robes is able to dictate his unholy terms to an elected govt. These politicians who were able to impeach the Chief Justice on trumped up charges are unable to control a gang of thugs in robes wreaking havok and sowing the seeds of destruction in the land.

A well written articla By Tisaranee and you are well on the spot.

Infact many months ago I was trying to analyse the Behaviour of Rajapakses and was trying to analyse the movement of BBS and it’s game plan.

But now I am happy at least there are few more like me who have analysed the BBS and their Game plan for Future Sri Lanka.

BBS, Rawaya, Rawana and other Terror groups are nothing but the next generation of Sri Lanka’s Sinhala Buddhist Talibal Rulers in the Making with the blessings of Rajapakses.

The way I see it is….When you put the dots together you will note that BBS was created By MARA/GOAT/BARA combination to hand over the Governing of our country to them in case of a change in the Government.

All the hallmarks are to be seen similar to the creation of a Buddhist Taliban state in Sri Lanka supported my MARA/GOTA/BARA combination if there’s going to be a change in Government.

Fearing of a Foreign invasion and possible war crime charges, MARA brothers creating these BBS, Ravaya, Ravana etc, are all part of the strategy to hand over power to them to occoupy and rule Sri Lanka under Buddhist Taliban Racist state and bring the country to a total Chaos.

Every thing is clearly visible on the wall while threatening every body and every institution including the Parliament.

All these BBS, Ravaya, Ravana riots against Muslims, Christians and Sri Lanka Cricket team are all to check their strength and to check peoples, Parliament and police and Law makers reactions.

These are real Taliban Terrorists hiding behind the Yellow robes for Protection, from prosecution and for Public respect when thuggery vandalism, riots and Murder is carried out against Minority or any opposition against their ideology.

What is all the opposition parties are doing……..Nothing except sleeping and giving press interviews.

All opposition parties are silent thinking as long as these Buddhist terrorists hit only Muslim and Tamil Property they don’t need to worry……..But the day they are going to come after you also is not very far

BBS,Ravana, Ravaya, Gota’s army, Police, white van, Rakna Lanka and other underworld gangesters, thugs and marauding forces are all work hand in hand.

What is the ever sleeping Minister of Language Joker Vasi Deva doing is anybody’s guess.

Unless everybody unite and even get foreign help to stop this Buddhist Taliban Bas….ds, they will hammer everybody Left and right.

This is all MARA/GOTA brothers creation to threat and intimidate any opposition, Both Majority and Minority parties and minority religious organisations to suppress them using this Marauding Buddhist thugs.

I also feel that at this level, a foreign Invasion is the only solution.

These Buddhist Yellow Thug Bast…ds are well funden and fed By MARA/GOTA/BARA partnership to create trouble in the country.

Opposition Leader JR’s nephew crook RW is ever sleeping and pretending that he does not know anything. He is the Biggest Thakkadiya crook and Jonna in Sri Lanka’s history. He is the reason behind all of these allowing MARA to do all these thuggary to our people.

This cunning fox Pinguththaraya only safeguarding his Party Leader post, Parliament Pay check and his life, family and future.

Isn’t there anybody available in the UNP with a spine to kick this RW G.y Ponn…ya out from the UNP party….. He is the biggest liability to all of us.

I kindly request to all those Patriot Sri Lankans to Act now to stop these Buddhist Racist Thugs (future Buddhist Taliban Rulers of Sri Lanka) who will bring further suffering to everybody and help to stop spread this virus now than regret later.

Garbage in garbage out is what the leaders can expect.dont think the singhalese too will be safe once the extremism takes root.we saw it with JVP uprising which eventually ended up with young people being burned to death alongside the roadside.

Upul J should have been somewhat circumspect and, ideally, avoided inviting both the illegally appointed CJ and the former tainted CJ. But he played UNP politics as President/BASL and will have to face the music. He has started his official tenure by dividing the
age-old BASL. The sublime standards of the once respected land in many a field continues to slide.

    An excellent analysis, Tisaranee.

The Muslims in SL were absolutely perplexed with regard to the motives of BBS to target this minority community, who continue to live in peace and harmony with all citizens of SL, despite the recent grave and unsolicited provocations.

Being generally tri-lingual the Muslims provided critical “intelligence support” to the government during the war years in crushing the LTTE. It is common knowledge that several key Muslim officers in the Intelligence establishments paid with their lives, some with the courtesy of Ranil Wickramasinghe who cut a back-stabbing deal with the Tigers without the knowledge or consent of the nation.

By and large the Muslims in SL are descended from original Sinhalese mothers. I saw one Muslim lawyer on TV proudly proclaiming that he was a Sinhala Muslim!

The 1915 riots was about a hundred years ago, and to rekindle that sad history in the name of Pan-Buddhism is the height of racist strategy, because since then the Muslims have lived without conflict with any community. The only other tragedy some Muslims faced was when they were en-masse cleansed from Jaffna by Prabakharan several decades ago.

While Tisaranee’s suggestion that an anti-Muslim (read ” Muslim terrorist”) stance will earn the Family brownie points from the West seems a bit far-fetched, that seems to be a good and plausible explanation!

Tisaranee, again though far-fetched, there are suggestions of an Israeli nexus in creating a recent wave of ill-will against Muslims globally. Perhaps you may like to research this sensitive subject, as some Muslims are strongly inclined to the view of a Jewish conspiracy against Islam.

If, as the BBS claims, there are extreme Muslim organisations operating in SL, our intelligence establishment is well-equipped and capable of smoking them out and destroying them summarily. In fact all Sri Lankans (including SL Muslims) would welcome such reaction from the government without any reservations.

The Muslims who I know crave for peace, and more importantly peace of mind!

Then how come Ms T’s fans in the Diaspora are queing up to get dual passports?.

      Sumanasekara,

Please do not err in mistaking parts for the whole. The part may be wholesome or rotten, but it is yet not the whole. Generalising from a specific in such issues in circumstances as pertain ow is dangerous.

I was impressed with Tissaranee’s articles during the Tiger reign, because she was the only journalist who consistently said ,” All Tamils are not Tigers”. She was absolutely right. The same logic stands valid today. All Sinhalese are not the BBS and all Tamils in the Diaspora are not Eelamites. Most Diaspora Tamils however desire that solutions be found within the context of a united Sri Lanka. The overwhelming thirst is for a united Sri Lanka where the Tamils will be equal and respected citizens living in safety.

        Narendran,

You say most Diaspora Tamils desire a solution with in a united Srilanka. And want to be equals.

Judge Skandaraja is about to deliver the good or bad news to Sumathipala. Isn’t this judge unequal?

Settling non Tamils on Govt lands, in sparsly populated areas in the North is Genocide, destruction of Tamil land . Tamil Nation and Tamil culture.

Colombo has been occupied for a long time by Tamils in ever increasing numbers, including our TNA heavies and their supporters who make these wild allegation.

Have they lost their culture and identity?.

Doesn’t Development go hand in hand with an increase in population?.

Have the so called majority elected TGTE, GFT and TNA, ever said publicly what you are saying here?

Has any of the Diaspora sponsored Media outlets articulated this ‘ living as equals in a united country?.

Hatred, Revenge, and Jealousy driven politics, I am afraid are not going to make us better for sure.

          Sumanasekera,

The government must resolve the fundamental issues I have highlighted. The Tamils must feel equal and secure in this land. Once this is done in word and deed, through entrenched legal provisions, you will see a sea change in Tamil attitudes and perceptions. They are a people who have been bitten several times by both the Sinhala polity and their own liberators. Hence they are more than twice shy.

The BBS phenomenon and what it tends to represent worry the Tamils too. Are we back to square one?
We are arguing the same case we argued before the war and during the war. We have ofcourse more points to prop our arguments. However, we as Srk Lankans have not committed ourselves yet to find solutions. Our government seems to have relgated this to the backburner, if not to the dust bin.

Unless, the Tamils feel secure and confident in the whole of Sri Lanka, they will seek to ensure that there are safe enclaves. Unfortunately, they have not learned the most important lessen from the thirty years of a civil war that there can never be safe enclaves, anywhere in Sri Lanka. The solution should be centred around citizens and communities. Land should be the least of our concerns and certainly not the bone of contention.

During the war, Tissaranee had said much much more than “All Tamils are not Tigers”. Indeed She backed LTTE better than its cadres. If we go by her punditry write-ups while the war raged on, Tigers would never have lost Kilinotchchi. She had gone so fr as to compare Sri Lanka soldiers stuck for short while in Kilinotchchi to the German Wehrmacht that was trapped in Stalingrad WW11. According to her Sri Lanka could never have defeated LTTE to start with. When the end for LTTE was approaching fast, she said that Pirapakaran would fight an entrenched guerrilla war from Mulathivu jungles for years to come. Now that all her such predictions had gone for a six, she grabs anything to attack Rajpakses to secure her dollars from her paymasters. What a way to live.

          Sumanasekara and Leela,,

The big debate should be about the future. What is our future as Sinhalese, Tamils,Muslims etc., in this island? What should the living arrangements be? Is it going to be home we share in mutual respect and in comfort and peace, or house divided on parochial lines and blighted by violence – in thought and deed-for ever?

Could we start debating these issues calmly and without rancour, at least now? Many learned men are coming forward to write and comment on CT. This is an opportunity to direct the discourse towards indentifying problems, understanding them in an objective manner and identifying sensible and practicable solutions.

          Dr.Rajasingham Narendran

          Dr.Rajasingham Narendran,
I fully agree with you that Sinhalas, Tamils, Muslims and all others who chose to live in Sri Lanka must be able to live with mutual respect. I would like to add to that they must have equal rights as well. I sure no Sri Lankan would oppose it. So why cannot we come to an understanding to reach a solution is the question.

I think the problem we are talking is getting complex by the day. In my opinion, NGO dollar sharks like Thisaranee are the real impediment. They just follow their masters voice. So, my aim here is to show that Thisaranee and co or their masters cannot help find even a temporary a ‘solution’ leave out a durable one.

If the so-called IC is honest and equitable, they should have appreciated the existing peace in the country and allow Tamils and Sinhalas to argue their case and find a solution to their issues themselves. For decades, the so-called IC and its puppets and India let LTTE and the various governments of the day drag a solution for decades. They even took two parties around the globe for baby talks from Oslo to Geneva to Phuket to Tokyo and to whatnot to stop the war. Not only they got parties to sign a peace agreement they had send peace monitors to track the ‘peace’. But they put no pressure or even hinted about ‘solutions’ that they are trying force upon us now. We saw only ‘Pongu Thamil’ and counting peace breachs and dead bodies then. So, why cannot these peace mongers let the warring parties take their own time to find a solution? What’s the big hurry now? In our mind, this unnecessary push smells nothing but a conspiracy.

Then, there is the question of which ‘Tamil’ and Tamil interest that Sinhalas have to think about in their talks with Tamils for a ‘solution’. It seems, 65 million or so Tamils in India have now become the cats paw or the real tiger. Both Karuna and Jaya said what they want in no uncertain words. They said Tamils want Eelam.

In their effort to push Sri Lanka government, neo-colonialists or the so-called IC and their backers and puppets continue to talk about crimes committed towards the end of the Sri Lanka war at UNHRC in Geneva for the past few years. India set the war for us. They armed and financed the terrorists. So, it is India’s war. If not for India, we would have finished it at Wedamarachchi in 1987. After setting the war on us, India tried to impose a ‘solution’ that neither terrorist nor Sri Lanka government nor its people wanted. That made us dragged the war for thirty years. So, how could Rajapakse be the responsible party for war crimes?

President Rajapakse finished the war that dragged for 30 year in four years. Rajapakse’s was the only freely elected government in the world that was successful in eradicating foreign imposed domestic terrorism successfully. Rajapakse took his mission further. He had cleared mines in vast stretches of land, developed the infrastructure, resettled 300,000 the war displaced persons, rehabilitated over ten thousand LTTE terrorists, fighters or recruits. In fact, he has brought about a situation where an absolute peace continued to prevail throughout the country. In my opinion, he has achieved the impossible in a short spell.

All those supported LTTE, or are anti-Government or are anti-Sinhala/Buddhist claim LTTE was a product made by Sinhalese. That’s the argument that is in vogue now. They tell us that LTTE was born out of social, cultural, political and economic mistreatment and warn that if those conditions are not corrected, nothing can stop another LTTE emerging in place of the former one. It will be worse than one before. Its no secret that these people are backed by the so-called International Community. And the IC is adamant that Sri Lanka government tag along to their prescription.

IC shed crocodile tears for Sri Lanka. That was obvious from the statements the leaders of the so-called IC made towards the end of the war. They told us to hand over Pirapakaran to a third party but they chose to kill their sworn enemy Bin Laden when he was unarmed. IC never wanted Rajapakse to end the war in Sri Lanka or Sri Lanka to achieve peace. They wanted us to linger with conflicts for them interfere and arbitrate.

President Rajapakse is not convinced peace is the motive of the so-called International Community. Lets look a bit of the record of IC to see whether our President is wrong. Its been ten years since the US and members of the IC invaded Iraq to bring it peace and democracy. The US forces killed Saddam and handed over the best Iraqi oil fields to US oil companies saying mission completed successfully. But we hear scores of people been killed in bomb blasts every day not just in Iraq but in Libya Afghanistan, Pakistan and every country that the US and IC poke their fingers in the name of peace.

Americans tricked Saddam to invade Kuwait to pave a way for them to topple him and invade Iraq in the end. If we have oil like in Iraq, they would have done the same to us long ago. The so-called IC never liked Rajapakse for he is not their puppet. It is not peace that IC wants here but a regime change through ‘Greeze Yaka’, ‘White Van’, ‘Arab Spring’, ‘Haultsdorf Spring’, ‘Futa Spring’ or whatever phenomenon their stooges could promote here. I am sure President Rajapakse think all that when he looks for sensible and practicable solutions.

      You should really be dimwit-

dont you know that many of us are trying to do more to the native country- and to do so you need to regain local rights. That can only be made through possessing dual passports.

I know this well, I would love to work with lanken Universties but lack of lanken passport fails me to do so.
Sure, there should be strict regulations when awarding those passports. But ones that completed their PG studies should be given the priority in this kind of issues.

The manner the GR is putting it off year to year is not acceptable to anyone yet – in that way, he stands on the way not allowing many more projects starting in SL:

Srilankans who get a free education and top it up with a Schol from the Govt, stay put after getting their PG and try to dodge the bond as well.

Why….Do you think that Sri Lanka is Rakapakses Mothers Dowry. I think both you and Rajapakses think like that. These are the type of Gon Harakas who govern our country.

Very soon he will get his Duel Citizenship under Thotalanga goo bokkuwa.
Read Gadaffi Memorabelia. Also read the following.

What I herd from the social media and a popular web site was that President Rajapakse has called over the phone the owner of Pepiliyana Fashion Bug store and have threatened him to drop this case immediately, or face wrath on rest of the Nolimit and Fashion bug stores. Also to erase the all the CCTV recording of this incident. lanka e news has the whole story of this case and see how Rajapakses plan to give Duel Citizenship to us, another multi Billion Dollar scam.

Also Rajapakses have threatened the Reporters, the Hiru TV cameraman, police DIG, Judge who was hearing this case etc, everybody had been threatened with white van tours.
Remember there’s still white vans roaming around, and this is the MR game plan.Everything was suppressed by force. Where’s the Uthayan Attackers for the last seven times…..
Expect more MARA drama in coming days.

To be anti-china is not present day catch phrase because US needs Chinese money to fight China.

General Franco’s Catholic Spain which was an anti- communist dictatorship was well respected by Nixon. Franco was also after terrorist ETA destroying them.

Rajaporkistan’s Sinhala Buddhist Lanka dictatorship which is proving to be anti-Islam (like the popular world) will live a very long life.

It seems the muzzies dont deserve anything better for all its double dealing, looting and buying land at 1/2price after 7/83. The religious block vote is the biggest disgrace more than the burka because it is all about Sharia law.

      Mr Wooly
Not sure what you are on about, with the comment:

‘It seems the muzzies dont deserve anything better for all its double dealing, looting and buying land at 1/2price after 7/83. The religious block vote is the biggest disgrace more than the burka because it is all about Sharia law’.

It may help us others around this discussion better understand if you will please clarify.

What are your views by the way on the striking similarities between what’s happening in Sri Lanka with the orchestrated violence and antagonism against the Rohingya people of Myanmar? BBC is full of the latter, but apart from a situational report or two from its Lankan rep, there is no ‘joining of the dots’ that I can see. If that is done it may become clearer that the anti-Muslim sentiment in Lanka is part of a wider regional plot orchestrated by those with regional/global geopolitical agendas to pursue?

Try travel in the west rather than reading it on these threads. Seeing is half so do it.Bangaladeshi’s have had it in Spain too for a good reason so Burma does not suprise me. Even west Bengal has the same problem. The problem with them is the religious ghettos- even in the west they get MP’s elected for life irrespective of the nation and that creates a back lash from the natives at times of financial crisis like at SL. The rest is what I saw and touched in 7/83 and there is no denying.good luck

I guess you haven’t considered the manipulation, intrigue, occupation and broader antagonism of the western nations towards third world Islamic states (try ‘Confessions of an Economic Hit Man for a more recent view of things and then go back sequentially to the creation of Palestine, followed by the crusades).

Is it any wonder that all this has resulted marginalisation, poverty, lack of education and in taking shelter in the more fundamentalist side of their religious beliefs? Some of that is visible even in Sri Lanka, where crafty politicians manipulate the masses, rouse their fear of the more successful minorities and create the ethnic tensions and havoc that we see for their own ends.

It is patently clear that Sri Lanka remains woefully short of good leaders who will put country and people before lucre, ethnicity or religiosity and establish a secular system of strong, incorruptible public service with orderly predictable transitioning to the next duly elected regime like we have in some other countries.

    Peeves,

It is a government that does not have capability and moral commitment to negotiate the democratic path to achieve its development goals. It is manipulating the system to bring in ‘ little bit of dictatorship’ to bulldoze the path to development. The danger inherent in this approach is that the ‘ Little’ becomes a ‘ monster’ with time. It is teenage mister now and the rate at which it is growing, will become a mad giant.

Further, this government does not have the intellectual and philosophical mooring to achieve a controlled explosion. It is becoming like a drug kingpin, who in the pursuit of wealth, loses all moral scruples and destroys a nation.

The sinhala majority was silence in seeing the genocide of tamils in mullivakal in 2009. they cannot say that they did not know as the truth is out! what ever the government says! this karma is not going to go away as the Rajapacksha ragime will turn against his own people who supported him and been silenced supporters. There is no king in srilanka! the singalese who voted in the rajapackha regime will face the consequence of his actions. When this regime is going to be single out! The regime will turn against the democracy and implement dictatorship which will be the end of freedom for sihalese. Buddhism believe in karma! it is surprising that the majority is keeping quite still on the issue of accountability and justice for tamils!. there are two dictators supported by china one burma(mianmar) other is north Korea. Sinhalease majority have to decide whether for the personal safty of Rajapackha regime letting srilanka fall into military dictatorship. Having few meetings ignoring the power is shifting to one family, keeping quite and star gashing will not help any one in SRI LANKA ! SINHALSE SHOULD RAISE UP NOW OTHERWISE THEY FACE ISOLATION AND MISCARRY IN THE NEAR FUTURE!

The Norwegians, Zionist Jews and their agents are absolutely hand in glove with the new directions in the Sri Lankan polity. Currying favour with the West on the basis of getting on their farcical “war on terror” bandwagon will not prove successful, verily because that itself is a duplicitous humbug used by perpetrators of mass mayhem in resource-rich Muslim countries… Sri Lanka’s membership is so insignificant that, despite grave dangers to its people, no one will be sufficiently interested…

This type of reporting to slander the President and his administration would serve a better cause if the articles were printed on WC paper, preferably with 4 layers so that we could wipe our backs with that paper after the S…t job is done.

The only complaint I have against the current administration is that they continue to let the poor crocodiles to starve instead of using those who slander the GOSL as crocodile food.
