The stand taken on the recent genocidal catastrophe in Gaza by the External Affairs Ministry of the Rajapakse Regime is revealing in its barefaced hypocrisy. There is no reference to the cause of national liberation and self-determination of the Palestinian nation. There is no outright condemnation of the carpet bombing, including civilian and refugee populations, and the ground invasion by the occupying forces of the Zionist-Fascist State of Israel, which have caused immense human dislocation and suffering, and catastrophic destruction of social infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, power stations and water supply.
There is no condemnation of the role of US imperialism which has backed up the Zionist State to the tune of 130 billion, and which functions as the frontline outpost of imperialism in the Middle-East. There is no mention of the criminal complicity and collaboration of the feudal-comprador Saudi Arabian State and the Egyptian military junta in this history of genocidal occupation. This recent catastrophe follows over six decades of the most barbaric war of invasion, aggression and genocidal occupation of the Palestinian Homeland by Israel, backed by its imperialist masters.
The Rajapakse Regime cannot well afford to antagonize US imperialism and the Zionist State. It is well on its way in capitulating to the US agenda over the UNHCR sponsored international war crimes investigation. The US is using the issue of accountability to pressure the Regime to break out of the close and growing strategic relationship with its ascending rival China and to become a link in its own strategic chain of command. If not, it will go in for regime change, ala Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Ukraine and elsewhere, with all the violence, anarchy and destruction that entails. The establishment of a domestic accountability mechanism with international advisors, for what it is worth, is an example of cowing in abject fear and submission to the US agenda. What happened to the bombastic claim of ‘zero civilian casualties’? Furthermore, it is reported that the Regime is having secret discussions with the US, which may involve a ‘comprehensive security agreement’, including provision of military facilities. The US already has the “ Acquisition and Cross Servicing Agreement” with the Regime, which is a euphemism for strategic-military cooperation. Israel too is well entrenched in Sri Lanka with an embassy in full operation and a proposed pharmaceutical factory to be set up in Hambantota. MOSSAD is active in counter-insurgency and intelligence activities within the Ministry of Defense.
What a pitiful and shameless trajectory. From being the one-time chairman of the Palestine Solidarity Committee and an ardent advocate of human rights, Mahinda Rajapakse has become an apologist for the genocidal crimes of US imperialism and its Zionist-Fascist outpost. The anti-Moslem Gestapo assaults by the Bodu Bala Sena goon squads could well be inspired-and funded- by the CIA, RAW and MOSSAD.
The banner of ‘anti-imperialist patriotism’ that is used to deceive, delude and divide the oppressed masses is beginning to shred and the naked truth of a spineless, death-dealing, comprador-capitalist/ neo-colonial Regime is revealing itself in the eyes of the world. The day will surely dawn when the oppressed people of Lanka, irrespective of divisions based on nationality, religion, language, caste or gender, shall rise together as one invincible anti-imperialist revolutionary force to overthrow the rotting neo-colonial state. They shall together establish their own independent, united and democratic People’s Republic of Lanka, as our contribution in burying the system of world imperialism and marching forward towards an era of universal freedom.

This nut jobs’ writing eerily sound similar to Tamil Nazi propaganda. There is no surprise there because the Ceylon Communist Party is the one that gave Federal Party its ideology.
Without being judgmental I suppose one could easily ask how that idea fared. One could also ask what other Communist left wing ideology has worked anywhere for that matter.
Palestine has two factions Fatah and Hamas. Rajapaske seems to support the Palestine authority and Fatah but not Hamas. This is a realistic proposition because Israel’s destruction became a moot point after they went nuclear. The only option Hamas has left with is mutual destruction.

Sounds legit. Vibushana……Gosl’s stance on the Israeli/Palestinian is actually a good compromising position for both sides.
However, as Lanka has already taken the ULTRA- ‘comprador-capitalist/ neo-colonial” path, it is seen that the SB masses have already become too disgruntled.
For even if SB’d GOSL remain as overlords, and keep a few head honcho SB in place to retain the status quo, the masses as surfs of the land will never be given a wage or gratuity in proportion to the Nation’s profits (profits, courtesy of the minorities)- it cannot merely trickle down to them, but fall on them like manna from heaven.
Because, once surfs are given the fair share of country profits, in the very first cycle itself, will the ultra-“comprador-capitalist/neo-colonial” front see the reduction in their comfort-levels, thus bringing down further incentive to keep up the ultra-“comprador-capitalist/neo-colonial” front. What a HUGE catch-22 Situation!
In Buddha’s Middle-Path way, Buddha himself would have wished for Sri Lanka to go along the NON-“comprador-capitalist/neo-colonial” path (with possibly of just a little of capitalism and neo-colonialism for sustenance from the non-Buddhistic realms, courtesy of the minorities).

Another mistake you seem to make is thinking too hard and too much of things. I suspect it keeps you awake sometimes making you suffer. Your articles seems to suggest as much.
Too much thinking is also against the Buddhist doctrine. Thinking is what prolongs the conscience and become a barrier to nirvana. I suggest you adopt “keep things simple stupid” principle. Then you see things more clearly.

Here is someone trying to sell the Israeli narrative, and being horribly misinformed. Israel is NOT fighting terrorism, it is fighting a resistance to their brutal occupation. An occupation that has been going on for nearly 50 years. NO people will put up with being kept in open concentration camps, be blockaded, have their lands stolen for illegal settlements, have to buy their own water, and not allowed to go in and out of their territories. No one can fault Hamas for sending rockets, we Sri Lankans would do the same had we been treated like dirt by a brutal occupier, who decides to “mow the lawn” every few years, use deadly US and Israeli made weapons against unarmed civilians. The occupier has bombed hospitals, schools, homes, the only electricity plant, even 7 UN shelters, despite warnings. This was a massacre against women and children.
MORE children were killed than militants. Israel is a ruthless, brutal, greedy nation, and if the rajapaksa’s think they can handle the devious nation, they are fooling themselves.

Read a bit of history of the Palestinian struggle and the role of imperialism in that part of the world and you will learn that the first people to resort to terrorism over Palestine were jewish zealots – Zionists – thugs and terrorists in the Stern Gang, the Irgun and the Haganah. The Palestinians have a most unequal fight in the face of a nuclear armed power which is propped up by massive funds and arms from abroad. Yet this apparently powerless people are now winning the sympathy and admiration of the world – it is growing slowly but surely – standing up to the massive strike power of the Zionist state. An oppressed people have the right to resistance and the Palestinians are laying down their lives so that future generations will be able to live with dignity and peace. No one pushed to the wall as they have been (by intruders) can be expected to accept their situation tamely.
Right across countries in Latin America leaders are recalling their diplomats from Israel. We, alas, are becoming more and more entwined with this murderous state.

The western powers do not condemn Israel for their action; In fact they support Israel in every possible way on tgis coflict.
If the sl govt opens it mouth on this issue, going against thne Western position, they will tighten the noose around sri lanka’s neck.

Recollecting significant Israeli support to Sri Lanka’s successful war against terrorism, the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) has warned that it would mount a counter protest campaign if Sri Lanka Thowheed Jamath (SLTJ) launched demonstrations in Colombo against the ongoing Israeli operations against Hamas.
A senior BBS spokesperson told The Island yesterday that the BBS was aware of SLTJ’s efforts to launch protests in Colombo most probably today (Aug 13) condemning the government of Israel.
The BBS official said that the organization had no relationship with the Jewish state, though it felt the Sri Lankan government couldn’t forget the assistance received from Israel during the war.
Israel supplied a range of armaments, including Kfir jets, Dvora and Shaldag class fast attack craft, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, anti-missile syetems for Mi-24 helicopter gunships as well as combat training.
Strongly condemning the government’s failure to prevent SLTJ from coming onto the streets against Israel, the BBS spokesman said that the government was aware of its decision to launch a protest campaign in Colombo.
Last week, the JVP protested outside the US embassy in Colombo against Israeli military action.
Sri Lanka re-established full diplomatic ties with Israel in 2002 soon after the LTTE captured strategic Elephant Pass base.
Ven.Galagodaatte Gnanasara thera said that the SLTJ’s role in protests organised by the government was meant to strengthen its base. The government should realize the danger posed by SLTJ and groups with similar objectives, Ven. Thera said, vowing the BBS wouldn’t hesitate to take the required steps unless the government acted swiftly and decisively to neutralise the growing threat.
The BBS stressed that the SLTJ wouldn’t be allowed to exploit the situation in Gaza to its advantage. The BBS asserted that both Israel and Palestine should take responsibility for the crisis in Gaza. Accusing Hamas terrorists as well as global powers of causing mayhem in Gaza, the BBS said that the SLTJ was seeking to strengthen its cause at the expense of Sri Lanka’s relations with Israel.
The BBS said that those accusing Israel of accountability issues were strangely silent on what was going on in Syria and the neighbouring region. Referring to ongoing large scale operations conducted by ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) terrorists in the Middle East, the BBS said that Muslim organizations here should be concerned about bloody violence caused by terrorists against their own before taking on Israel.

Class of Rich who were in ruling political power, who had been suppressed by thousands years that majority masses; hence since 1948 holding power of STATE by anti- People Political Parties that essentially don’t want to CHANGE suppressed state into democratic-model of Republic; the lesson from the past is understood, that there was not mass Party or its leaders exist to undertake, its political class mission by own Independent Political Party since 1935 by LSSP of Trotskyist and 1943 CPC or SLCP of Modern Revisionist or 1964 CPC by Dogmatist Marxist Party or 1965 Anarchist -Terrorist outfit of JVP.
