Posters displayed on walls, buses, and on huge billboards and cutouts along roadsides in Colombo – Katunayake road praising President Maithripala Sirisena for defeating imperialist forces.

As a Muslim I follow the Revealed Legislation -Al-Qur’aan – sent down to mankind. In act the UN Charter is based on this Revealed Legislation, but sadly not put into practice.
By casting my votes on several elections thus permitting the faithless to draw up faithless legislations, I committed grave sins in the act of voting for the faithless. Now I seek refuge in Allaah The Exalted to forgive me and prevent myself in casting any more votes in future as I have done before and solely adhere to the Islaamic Legislation -Al-Qur’aan to the best of my ability, aameen.

There was a news bulleting saying Nimal Siripala, Nimal Lanza and SB Dissanayake have demanded RS 10 million from airport aviation or some government institution to pay for the welcoming ceremony of President. Some posters of the President has been sponsored by Faizer mustapha. This is how these politicians rejected by people try to get the good name from the President. This happened during the previous regime with cutouts of President coming out everywhere until people got fed up and got rid of him. If the present President falls into the same trap same misfortune will happen to him. People are intelligent enough to praise the President on his achievements and do not need the roadways poluted by these unwanted posters.
The President and Prime Minister should get together and direct the government authorities not to waste public funds on those tamashas and cutouts. The Ministers should be warned that they are responsible for waste of public funds in their ministries and also bring in laws to ban the display of cutouts of politicians and also charge those labourers hanging the cutouts as a criminal offence.

Faizer Mustapha was particularly disappointing and through the poster has relegated himself several rungs lower in esteem than what he was he was held.
The others mentioned are unworthy of even comment. Just no class.

Actually it is a throwback to Sir John Kotelawela. He was hailed as the Bandung Weeraya. The books on Bandung today hardly refer to the man. So, it is not the fool Rajapakse who started it. It is a long tradition. Remember tricky Dick is supposed to have had a major role in San Francisco and the United Nations. We have had a galore of megalomaniacs.

……..and who should take the credit for this grand show of arse-licking?
Step forward the Kudu King of Fishtown, take a bow.
You are bound to go places; and quickly.
Funny old world, ha. Not long ago you were heading for a holiday at state expense at their Costa Welikada resort, now you sup with the good and the great.
Nice to have friends in high places, ha.
