In Sri Lanka, Colombo Telegraph is banned or access is prevented.

Turkey is 99= % Muslim, Sunni Muslim , Not Wahhabi ‘Muslim”

Sri Lanka is 70% Buddhist, but Mostly Mahanama ” Buddhist”.

Is that the difference or is it the Family Hegemony, using Mahanama “Buddhism” toward sits hegemony?

        Palmsquirrell,

“Rajapaksa are opportunistic despots exploiting Sinhala Buddhism.”

In your OPINION, where do you think the Rajapaksas will end up after death?

1, Nirvana (Nibbana), and disappear for ever.

        2. Reborn as a lower species, based on the Karma earned.

        3. End up in Heaven based on “Good Works”, like defeating LTTE and VP.

4, Will be in Limbo, like the UN.

        5. Will be in Purgatory, to be reevaluated.

        6. Will be in Hell for the Good Works.

        7. Hill be in Heaven with Virgins.

        8. Will be in Hell, burning for eternity?

        9. Other Options?

But the Priests, Monks and Mullah are doing brisk business with a contrary opinion.

Religion is the most powerfull brainwashing tool. South Asia has a lot of poor people who are easy pickings for charlatans using religion to exploit and control the masses. On top of this South Asians are a superstitious lot who still haven’t embraced rationalism.

                Palmsquirrel,

So awaiting the The Enlightenment and The Age of Reason which Europe got in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Translate Thomas Paine’s The Age of Reason. 1795 into ALL the South Asian Languages.

Also Translate Cosmos by Carl Sagan for ALL the languages,

After all the Religious scriptures are translated into all the local languages for effective brainwashing.

Oh Spark. This is libel. But don’t worry: you cannot be convicted except if you are tried by PCJ himself, as Sri Lanka recognizes truth as a defence to charges of libel.
