UN committee Headed By Palitha Kohana Highlights Israeli Detention, Torture Of Palestinian Children

By Bassem Aly –

The UN Special Committee on Israeli Practices in the Occupied Arab Territories held a press conference in Cairo on Thursday to announce the conclusions of its annual field mission. The committee’s findings, which will be delivered to the UN General Assembly in November, were based on interviews with Palestinian refugees and officials in Amman, Cairo and the Gaza Strip.

The committee’s report described the testimonies it heard as “alarming,” especially those pertaining to Israel’s detention and mistreatment of Palestinian children.

“The mistreatment of Palestinian children starts the moment they are detained” by Israeli authorities, Palitha Kohana, committee chairman and Sri Lanka’s permanent representative to the UN.

The committee report states that Palestinian children’s homes are often surrounded by Israeli soldiers late at night. Soldiers fire sound grenades into their houses, break down their doors and fire live ammunition. Judicial warrants, the report noted, are never produced.

Children detained by Israeli authorities are tightly bound, blindfolded and forced into the backs of military vehicles. Their parents are not allowed to accompany them. They are, as a matter of course, insulted, intimidated and at times physically abused by Israeli authorities.

According to the committee, witnesses said the detention and transfer of children can last for hours, while they are denied any legal representation.

Palestinian children are regularly told by Israeli authorities that, if they confess to their “crimes,” they will be taken home; otherwise, they are threatened with torture. In some cases, Israeli soldiers resorted to burning children with hot irons, the committee reported.

Detained Palestinian children are forced to sign “confessions” in Hebrew, the committee found, a language many of them don’t understand. In 63 per cent of the cases involving detained Palestinian children, according to testimony heard by the committee, Israeli interrogators try to pressure them into becoming informants and spying on their own communities.

Committee members said they had met with Mahmoud Sarsak, a member of the Palestinian national football team. Sarsak was recently released by Israeli authorities following a three-month hunger strike to protest against the Israeli practice of “administrative detention.”

“Mahmoud’s case illustrates the experience suffered by thousands of detained Palestinians,” Kohana said.

The committee went on to express “deep concern” over the demolition of Palestinian homes by Israeli authorities. Witnesses asserted that home demolitions had increased at an alarming rate over the last three years, with 330 homes and other structures demolished in 2012 alone.

Since 1967, the report noted, some 26,000 Palestinian structures had been levelled by Israeli occupation authorities.

The committee found that home demolitions aimed chiefly at cleansing the land of its Palestinian population. This year alone, over 500 Palestinians – more than half of them children – had been rendered homeless by Israeli demolitions, the report noted.

The committee also pointed to violent attacks against Palestinian children by Israeli residents of Jewish-only “settlements.” An Israeli non-governmental organisation reported 642 cases of settler violence since 2005, some 90 per cent of which were thrown out of court owing to a “lack of evidence.”

When asked about the impact of the report on the future of the so-called “peace process” between the Tel Aviv regime and the Palestinian Authority, Kohana told Ahram Online that he hoped such reports of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the occupied territories might force negotiators to pressure Israel into changing its “oppressive policies.”

“Israel needs to change its attitude towards the peaceful, unarmed Palestinians,” he said. “There are many other ways to safeguard its national security interests.”

When asked about what kind of response could be expected of the international community to the host of reported Israeli rights violations, Kohana, briefly taken aback, said merely: “I have no idea.”

The Special Committee was established by the UN General Assembly in 1968 to investigate Israeli practices affecting the human rights of the Arab inhabitants of the territories occupied by the self-proclaimed Jewish state the year before. Committee members are drawn from Sri Lanka (Chairman), Malaysia and Senegal.

Tamils share a lot of common beliefs and principles and show solidarity with this new world in middle east created by Arab Spring such as freedom and self determination, I think this Palitha Honona is trying to show Srilanka as Palestinian supporters and become a part of this new world and thereby move forward with their political motives.

Again a wolf is nominated to protect sheeps and you can see his double moral. Not to undermine Israel´s aggression against Palestinians

Positions like this in UN institutions are occupied by member states representatives, independent from their political systems.

You, an alias, using a name of a prominent Tamil, scared to price your identity, should not talk about these things.

Palitha, a similar like Dayan, talks about things which he does not understand. Most probably a LTTE supporter has writen his speech.

You definitely have no idea about all these things.

Palestinian children are being ill treated, detained, and held in limbo by Israel. It is important that Sri Lanka stands with the rest of the world, and seek justice, and also at the meantime show by example, that we adhere to the rules and standards that are in sync with the rest of the world.

Israel has been able to get away with all their crime against the Palestinian people, with support from the US.
It is time the world condemned their illegal settlements, stealing of Palestinian lands, demolishing homes with bulldozers (Caterpillar), destroying their olive trees and orange groves, depriving them of their livelihood, controlling what comes in, and what goes out of their territories, using banned chemicals indiscriminately in civilian areas, which has brought world condemnation. Israel has broken over 200 UN resolutions, and keeps thumbing it’s nose at the world. They use the word “anti semitic” to attack anyone who criticizes them, linking Israeli policies and crimes to their race.
It should be treated like what it is – a pariah rogue nation.

I believe if Palastine was not an Islamic country the attitude of other Nations would have been different certainly. The fact that it is, and Islam sponsoring violence itself is reason for some to believe violence has to be met with violence. What a tragic case it is, when Religions preach violence.

Which religions preaches violence, and what do you know of Islam? Are you an Islamic scholar?
Don’t judge an entire religion by what a bunch of extremists do. There are over a billion Muslims in the world, and if they all resorted to violence we would be in big trouble. Luckily for us the majority follows what the religion advices them – live in peace. The Palestinian issue is not violence being met with violence. This is about a people who have been victims of an aggressor, who is wealthier, and has one of the biggest and sophisticated arsenal in the world (thanks to uncle Sam), and who lives in deplorable conditions. They have nothing to fight back with, but use stones and rockets that rarely finds its mark. No people can be kept down under control of their neighbor, for long. They will always want to fight back. It is a human reaction.

Panda, excuse the deay in replying your post as I did not read it before. As you state, ‘Which religions preaches violence, and what do you know of Islam? Are you an Islamic scholar?
Well, is it only Scholars who understand Religions? No wonder, there are over a billion naive in the world believing so and making life a hell for others, with the violence. It was amply argued by your ilk, quoting from the man written Quoran, how Jihad is performed in Islam. There is no other Religion that profess so, openly as in Islam, although some fanatic followers resort to violence in the name of their faith.
Prophet Asif, you better read your Man Written Quoran where your Mohamed met and listened to your shapeless, formless and baseless God Allah, to understand that, for most of the violence around the globe today, the reason is Islam.
Before this war in the Middleeast commenced in the ’60s, like you, Nasser of Egypt said that he will wipe Israel off the world map. The end result is that Israel has annexed more land than before. Why did not God Allah help Nasser to achieve his objective, if your God Allah is so powerful? How can non existent Gods help? Isn’t it?

gamini, you still could not answer my simple questions – which religion preaches violence, and what Do you know about Islam? From your long, incoherent, ramble, it seems nothing, zero, zilch.
You seem way, way off, in what you say, and it seems you have gone off on a anti Islam rant, but I understand, someone with limited knowledge, has to resort to such nonsense.
It is obvious you are no scholar, and your comments show nothing but ignorance and hatred for something beyond your comprehension. Go to the closest library and read up about Islam, and then try to contribute in an intelligent manner. Thank you.

Panda, what is Jihad? If not advocating violence? I know it is incoherent to you, as it is very clearly stated in your man written Quoran. Thanks to Jihad, the Muslim male population got decimated. Hence one male was permitted to marry number of females just to satisfy the females who could not find male life partnes. So much so that even underage girls were married off, as Prophet Mohamed did, his friend’s daughter attaining puberty. Islam is for the absolute naive, a Religion of convenience, brought about by absolute social necessity created by Islam itself.

gamini, it is obvious you still cannot answer the couple of questions I have asked, and instead again come up with gibberish. Jihad has many meanings, why don’t you look up Wikipedia, and enlighten yourself. It is obvious you are totally ignorant about Islam, and seem to have picked up talking points from maybe Hasbara (again refer to Wikipedia) the Israeli soldiers of disinformation and ignorance on the internet. You certainly sound like you belong to that group.
Your hatred of Islam is obvious and your knowledge limited.
Next time you write that religions preaches violence, be sure to be able to back it up, and don’t confuse yourself with individuals who do.

ISLAM preaches violence. When Prophet Mohamed was preaching the Quoran after meeting this shapeless formless God Allah, people like Abu Lahab or some one not believing, what happened to him? The curses listed out for those not adhering to Islam is too many to list here. Is violence not preached for non believers in Islam? Jihad is advocated for any who challenges the Islam faith. Then there are Holy wars (I do not know what is Holy in a War)the Muslims have fought right through History. If any person points shortcomings in the Quoran, he is accused of blaspheme and the punishment meted out is death by fellow humans and not by this non existent Allah. What more proof do you require to establish that Islam does not preach violence? Remember you are in a public forum and your attempts to shield Islam or deviate from the subject of violence that Islam preaches has little effect.

so gamini, you still are UNABLE to answer my question. That says a lot doesn’t it? Your rather anti Islam rant is becoming more and more incoherent. If for one you think only Muslims had Holy wars, you are totally ignorant of history. I think my recommendation to visit a library will do you a world of good. Read about the crusades, and other wars by other religions.
If you have not noticed this article is about the Israeli and Palestinian issue, and NOT a religious one.
Try to stay focused and NOT take advantage of this article for you to display your anti Islamic stance., and baseless comments that you cannot back up. You are wasting a lot of my time.

Panda, all others can understand, Muslims resorting to violence to keep the flock together and for anyone who defy what punishment they get, except you and people like Asif. There is no medicine yet found for naivette and your can never be cured. So you are free to wallow in your false belief, kill and get killed in the name of Islam.

Islam sponsoring violence?! Gamini, man, it seems like your mental capacity and ability to understand and comprehend things have hit a curb and veered off the right track. Maybe too much CNN and BBC running in your blood stream carrying distorted, disfigured and twisted facts all the way upstairs which seems to be devoid of a lie detector. You should get one installed so that you enjoy clear and perfect views from your balcony with an open mind. I suppose, this lying through their teeth alphabetical soup duo CNN/BBC did not inform you that it was morally perfect CIA that created Taliban and Al Qaeda, and not Islam. In other words, Taliban and Al Qaeda are the second cousins of CNN and BBC. And, if you happen to be learning Islam from them- they will teach you how to cut and paste passages from scriptures out of context- well, I wish you all the best!

Now you see, we have a long history with these Jews and history bears witness to the fact that we always treated them well whether it was in North Africa, Palestine or Spain. But you know, things took a drastic change in the late 19th century, not that we were plotting and planning to wipe them out from the face of the earth. In 1897 the first Zionist convention that was held in Basel, Switzerland decided to unite the Jews in a national Jewish homeland. Up until then these jokers had no idea where that homeland was. Look at the exotic places they had in mind; Uganda, Alaska, Madagascar and man, am I glad that Ceylon didn’t cross their mind! Surely, don’t you think they deserve to live in the jungles of Africa? But no, in Basel they decided to move them to an historical location. Madagascar, of course, and the rest, as they say, is history. But wait a second, what about the people already living there who didn’t like the idea of a national Jewish homeland being set up in their country? Man, you need not worry about that they can either shut up or get out!

In 1946 the Jews owned 5.8 percent of the land and after the UN partition plan in 1947 the Jews ended up with 56 percent of the land. Yes, your ‘other Nations’ STOLE half of Palestinian land (Islamic country) and gave it away to the Jews on a silver platter! Great compensation for the holocaust at the expense of the poor, penniless Palestinians. The Jews oppress, exploit, subjugate and massacre Palestinians and then they turn around with blood in their hands and broadcast their innocence.

It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “Whoever told you that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw his Lord was lying. He said that no vision can grasp Him [cf. al-An’aam 6:103]…” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, al-Tawheed, 6832).

It was narrated that Abu Dharr said: “I asked the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), ‘Did you see your Lord?’ He said, ‘ He is veiled by Light, how could I see Him.’” (Narrated by Muslim, al-Eeman, 261).

Gamini, man, did a quack prescribe some hallucinogenic drugs to you or what? I think your mental health is deteriorating at an alarming rate. Have the telephone number of the emergency ambulance service by your bedside. You are having hallucinations and seeing apparitions. Shapeless, formless and baseless creature (what on earth is that?!) causing bloodshed, mayhem and violence across the globe. Man, didn’t I warn you not to use that CNN/BBC two-in-one shampoo on your head? Next time try Khomba saban!

“Islam preaches violence.” “…for most of the violence around the globe today, the reason is Islam.” You are right, man, Islam’s teachings incited the killing of 20 million people in World War One and over 50 million in World War Two. Islam was the cause that led to the massacre of 166,000 innocent people in Hiroshima and 80,000 in Nagasaki. Not forgetting the thousands of people massacred in Bosnia, 20th century Europe. Islam has slaughtered 1,455,590 Iraqis and God alone knows how many in Afghanistan. That Hitler fellow incinerated 6 million Jews after converting to Islam. Islam is also blamed for the increasing number of crimes that are taking place in peace loving Sri Lanka. Can you imagine? And, the list goes on and on. You will not find all this info on wiki or whatever. But on Crap News Network (CNN) and Bollocks Broadcasting Corp. (BBC). Happy?

Man, that Nasser fellow of Egypt was upto no good. We never liked him anyway, let alone God helping a crook like him to annihilate the Jews! With all the passing references made to our Prophet’s journey to heaven, I was wondering whether deep inside you have this desire to make a trip to heaven yourself? Good for you. Please don’t forget us!

So Asif you read and re-read the Man written Quoran to quote the two verses to establish that God Allah exists. To qoute you,

‘It was narrated that Abu Dharr said: “I asked the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), ‘Did you see your Lord?’ He said, ‘ He is veiled by Light, how could I see Him.’” (Narrated by Muslim, al-Eeman, 261)’. When you quote from the man written Quoran be a little more specific as to what this light that blurred the vision of Abu Dharr? Is it Sun Light or a Torch Light? Was it during the day or night that Abu Dharr met God Allah? Since Abu Dharr’s vision was blurred with this light how does he conclude it was God?

Then again,’It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “Whoever told you that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw his Lord was lying. He said that no vision can grasp Him [cf. al-An’aam 6:103]…” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, al-Tawheed, 6832). Here again first it is said that the God was lying down and to say that no vission can grasp him, is contradictory. If no vission can grasp God, how did ‘Aa’ishah see him lying down in the first place?

To all who want to quote from the Quoran, to avoid it being ridiculed, first get it edited by someone with common sense.

Who are you to be that sure of non-existent god ? Even scientists on evolution partly believe in the existence of God. They have to because there are unexplainable happenings when focusing on the course of evolution in finding proofs to particulary the creation of human being. And how can you explain the miracles in our lives, if you dont believe any supernatural forces ? God is nothing else than super natural powers behind the living beings. None of us HUMANBEINGS is able of arguing on the EXISTENACE of God. That is why this belongs to the believes. These powers are named after Allah and God in Islam and Christianity respectively. Believing in god can be helpful than not doing so. This many can feel looking back their own lives. Only supernatural Human beings may argue about non-existent god.

Prof. Gamini, sorry, for not commenting on what I had quoted. I thought perhaps you were well versed in the Quraan and the Hadith (Traditions of the Prophet). The two quotations are NOT from the Quraan. They are from Sahih Al Bukhari and Sahih Al Muslim; the two most authentic books after the Quraan where the traditions of the Prophet are recorded. This just goes to show how much of the Quraan you really know or have read. I don’t blame you. I am also a student of Islam like you.

The reason why I quoted them was to drive home the message that although the Prophet made the journey to heaven and speak to God, he did not see Him. He spoke to God from behind a veil of light as mentioned in one of the narrations. From where did you get this idea of Prophet meeting a shapeless, formless God?

Seems like you have a problem understanding the following narration..
’It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “Whoever told you that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw his Lord was lying. He said that no vision can grasp Him [cf. al-An’aam 6:103]…” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, al-Tawheed, 6832)

“Whoever told you that Muhammad saw his Lord was lying…” ‘Lying’ is to tell someone something that is not true and not like ‘lying’ on a couch!

Man, Gamini, what on earth is wrong with you? You imagined that God was lying on a couch in his living room or something! Whether it was Sunlight or Wonderlight we will discuss that part when we meet the next time, until then bye bye!

Terrorists, be they Palestinian or Tamil, are legitimate targets for “preemptive war”. The IC must continue to stand behind besieged governments like Sri Lanka and Israel as they fight back against a vicious enemy. The UN Resolution was very shortsighted as both India and the US are high on the terrorists target list and they embolden terrorists the World over by second guessing the tactics employed in the fight against terror. Muslim and Hindu, and some Buddhists and Christians too, united against freedom and multiculturalism. The LTTE was not the only terror group to use child soldiers so let’s not presume these Palestinian teenagers are noncombatants.

Very confusing. I thought that Palitha, Dayan, Rajiva et al have spent the past six months loudly proclaiming that the UN had no right to get itself involved in the “internal” and “political” affairs of member states? This certainly does look like double standards …

      Janus

      is missing the point:

“This certainly does look like double standards …”

There is a difference between normally accepted standards and standards and laws accepted by stupid Sri Lankans.

They simply want to protect a nonexistent Sinhala/Buddhist sovereignty. No one has to define what this is as this would help the clan to prolong their hold on Sri Lanka and suffering of the people while the people are busy defending something which does not exist.

Keep the stupid people busy while looting the treasury.

Who did give him the authority to go into another sovereign country and investigate human rights violations? Isn’t it a Sinhala/Buddhist conspiracy to expand its imperialist agenda?

If he can then others too can.

“…When asked about what kind of response could be expected of the international community to the host of reported Israeli rights violations, Kohana, briefly taken aback, said merely: “I have no idea…..”

    “..I have no idea…” !!!!!!!!!

That was the final output of Kohona, the UN, the human rights policy of UN and elsewhere! All these stupid persons, world bodies and countries of the world are just cheating themselves and others. This whole establishment of UN is an eye-wash and a useless establishment because they do nothing to implement their founder ideologies and rights policies. How can a questionable person from a country with questionable wartime conduct and postwar conduct and ripe with human rights violations and impunity be appointed to investigate human rights elsewhere? This world has gone nuts! Can anybody ask Palitha about human rights violations in Sri Lanka including war crimes?

Nimal, this man Palitha Kohona is the son in law of former Minister Hector Kobbekaduwe, another Humbug who ruined the Tea Plantations and made a mess of the Land ownership, freely allocating land acquired to Party supporters and the like. This man is a mediocre lawyer with no proven track record except providing comfort women to MR when he went to Australia where PK was resident for some time. Possibly the connection was established during Law College days when both were stuying Law.

Israel offered Arafat a Palestinian state, but he wanted it to be bigger and look what the Palestinians have now?

GOSL never offered the LTTE its own state. Had GOSL offered Jaffna Peninsula for Eelam, no doubt VP would have refused insisting on not just adding the Vanni but all of Eastern Province as well. 2002 offered a chance for peace but VP chose to use the time to rearm for the next phase of Ealam War, never intending the peace to be anything more but a strategic interval within which to regroup.

Refusal to compromise by their leadership has put both the Palestinians, and the Tamils, in a tough position. Thus their feeling of abandonment by the IC does not resonate except with the small percentage really interested in Sri Lanka.

Kohona now admits that the other UN reports on War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity can be presented to the General assembly and further investigated or discussed.
So here comes the UN expert report headed by Darusman to the GA.
Both Israel and Sri Lanka are now well recognized as “State Terrorist” and Israel is doing the same atrocities like what the Sri Lankan armed forces have been doing in the East and the North for the past 5 years are capturing the Tamil homeland.
Palestinians are much luckier than the children, girls and women of the NorthEast. Molestation and rape/torture are regular occurrences in the NorthEast where there are 70,000 widows and more young girls. Rapes are occurring of Singhala children by the thousands in the South as well.

It is a sick society in Sri Lanka, and not only girls the boys are being exposed and exploited to the tourist, making it the “Gay Capital” and the “Pedophiles” are rushing in as tourist.

Donald: you know full well that dirty old Euro men have been going to Lanka to molest boys for decades, this is nothing new. I know in your Worldview the Rajapaksas are responsible for all the evils in the country, but do you realize just how little credibility you have with objective observers because of absurdities like this?

And using sex as a weapon during war dates back to, wait for it, the origins of warfare among primitive man.

Israel has helped supply Sri Lanka with advanced weapons that India, the EU and the US would not sell them and thus deserve an assist in the glorious victory of May 2009. Surely Israel envies GOSL’s success, which to them must seem like an impossible dream given the resilience of Hamas and its Iranian backers.

      American Lanka Lover says:

Can’t the Rajapakses stop the crimes, rape and sexual molestation of Singhalese boys in the West/South? Instead they are encouraging them. That is a disgrace.
Not only Israel there were many others that supplied illegal weapons which will come out when there are international investigations.

Israel has the military power to wipe out the Palestinians in weeks, but they are under the microscope and therefore they cannot do it. Furthermore, Americans will also become targets worldwide as tourist or going to restaurants/nightclubs etc.
So Israel cannot do what the Sinhalese did to the Tamils in the North and the East. There is 50% Palestinians living in Israel for centuries similar to Tamils living in Colombo or up country. Exactly 29 years entire Tamil population was exposed to Singhala racists in the July 1983 riots.

I respond to crazy comments, so that it is on record to correct the Sinhala myths. I do not care about what the Singhalese view is about me. I speak the truth and there are two sides to the coin, as well as truth and false.

You people should not get away with all your lies in a website like this. That is all. Our focus is in the big picture, and 3 years after the war, you can see how the Rajapakses are struggling in every way. There is a price to pay for killing 100,000 civilians, and being war criminals. UNHRC resolution was just the beginning of the end, and not the end of the beginning. They keep making terrible and horrible mental and physical errors in their arrogance and madness. The Federica incident is another example among many hundreds.

They will keep making more. Unfortunately, the country also suffers and so do the people. 31% of the people are non Singhala Buddhist. And there is opposition building slowly against the first family due to bribery, corruption, cronyism, nepotism, family bandyism, and extremism.

As you can observe, the Tamil civilians in the North East are not afraid of the military anymore.

Lover wrote – you know full well that dirty old Euro men have been going to Lanka to molest boys for decades, this is nothing new.””

Check the tourism statistics.. 60% of them are males. And at least “Lover” agrees with me, but questions my credibility because I point out the facts, so that some patriots will demand that the GOSL and the Rajapakses protect the children of Sri Lanka being raped, and abused.

    Ballo Happai Api Guttikai.

Additionally foreign tourist get gang raped like the Russian tourist, or raped like the Swedish and German in the last few months. Only one in ten gets reported. Sri Lanka receives the dubious distinction of this rap to, and the British tourist got brutally murdered.

It is a culture of impunity and now the Sinhalese themselves are sexually abusing their own children and youth.

    What a disgrace!!!

Donald: Tamils and muslims and every other ethnicity molests their children too and there is no evidence that it is more prevalent in the Sinhalese community.

There was nothing “illegal” about Israel selling weapons to GOSL which was under no embargo or sanctions.

And by the way we have long been targets of terrorism by the Palestinians.

The Tangalla incident last Christmas was disgraceful and, as I posted in another thread, I call on GOSL to create a special prosecutors office to handle criminal cases involving government officials and their family members. The culture of impunity must be ended, on that we agree.

      American Lanka Lover says:

“Donald: Tamils and muslims and every other ethnicity molests their children too and there is no evidence that it is more prevalent in the Sinhalese community.”

Therefore Sinhalese too must have the freedom to molest children.

Reports of attacks on children is in the Sinhala region and not among the Tamils and Muslims, especially in the NE.
So please do not drag the Tamil or Tamil speaking people into that mess.

Attacks on the Tourist also are in the same region.

Now Gota has acknowledged attacks on Tamil widows and girls, but blaming the Tamils of the area, and not the army. Well, what a great liar, and every time he opens his mouth he puts his feet in. What is the Police and military doing if the Tamils are attacking their girls and women, since there is 1 armed military for every 5 adults young and old in the North, but no one is caught like the bizarre Grease Devil phenomena in the North and the East.

GOSL and MOD should stop fooling the people of SL and the world. As for your opinion nobody really cares and you can keeping saying whatever you want. That is your right, although you are such a “Bayagullah” that you want to be anonymous. That says a mouthful. You have zero credibility. We don’t know whether you are a man or a woman, or anything in between Mr or Miss.Singhabahu.

@Lover. You better read this, which totally contradicts your position on attacks on young children from 6 to 18.
    https://www.colombotelegraph.com/index.php/womens-rights-group-on-sri-lankas-700-sexual-abuse-of-girls/

This problem is not in the North and East except the attacks on the 70,000 war widows and their young girls which goes unreported.
Whom can the Tamil women and girls report to?
