
The leader of the National Movement for Social Justice (NMSJ) Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera has passed away while receiving treatment at a hospital in Singapore.
The remains of the 73 year old Ven. Sobitha Thera is to be brought to the country today.

History will remember him as the Buddhist monk who initiated the struggle to get rid of that Evil Empire of the Rajapakse clan.
History will also remember him as one of the rare Buddhist Monks who PUBLICLY took a positive stand on the National Question.
Let that journey in Sansara be short for this Buddhist Monk who could be truly called Venerable.
