According to Deccan Herald, the agitating students, including from established institutions like Pachaiyappas’ College, Law College and others affiliated to the Left-wing students organisations like Students Federation of India (SFI) and All India Students Federation (AISF), demanded, among other things, an ‘economic embargo’ against Sri Lanka for its ‘genocide’ in the last days of ‘Eelam War-1V’ in 2009.

These students are the “shame to humanity.” I feel so sorry for them. They appear to have been easily brain-washed. They have been exploited by diabolically evil people to state the exact opposite of what actually happened in Sri Lanka, in other words to tell outright lies. It is well known students are the first to be targeted in any disinformation campaign because they are gullibly idealistic and highly impressionable. They also have less responsibilities compared to adults so that they can be easily induced to embark on risky and adventurous actions.
The way they talk clearly shows they have no clue of what they are talking about and they have been coached to say what they are saying. Also the desire for cheap publicity has blinded them. I shudder to think what will happen to the world when these morons begin to occupy positions of responsibility in society. The makers of this video are so shamelessly lacking in self-esteem that they have picked only the “fair” skinned and who they think are “good” looking to appear in this absurd video. Why are the Indians so ashamed of how they typically look like? This is a very juvenile, sophomoric attempt at media manipulation and disinformation.
What is even more appalling than their ignorance of Sri Lanka is how even less they know about their own country and their own social and political problems. This is the result of the DUMBING DOWN of India brought on by the rise of a shallow middle class obsessed with high consumption and mindless entertainment. This is a sick parody of the role of social media and the youth in the genuine people’s uprisings that we saw in the Middle East in the recent past. Rajiv Ghandi’s killer Dhanu the suicide bomber was brought to the venue of the Sriperumbuthur meeting by Member of the Legislatve Assembly Ms Maragatham in her car,and she drove away soon after.
The crowd of congressmen who greeted him kept back as Rajiv went forward to meet the supporters’ group including Dhanu. When she triggered the bomb while garlinding him,all in the group died including photographer Babu,but his Chinon camera survived with all the shots he had taken from Rajiv’s arrival,until the garlanding.
All the congressmen survived.

I don’t find anything wrong with the Indian students staging this strike. They are about 35% of the Indian voters. Now they are the deciding factors in forming the government at the Centre. The Indian politicians corrupt. One cannot easily under estimate the knowledge of Indian students. It is after their strike the Indian politicians have become vigilant. Yashwant Singh spoke something meaningful on the genocide of Sri Lanka Tamils. If there are allegations about the assassination of the former Prime Minister by the LTTE suicide bomber Dhanu, not only the LTTE should be blamed, but also the Indian political leaders. The report of the Jain Commission speaks for itself on some matters where it is silent. It is Subramaniya Swamy who was instrumental for these LTTE cadres to camp in Bangalore and thereafter quietly slipped away from the area. Jayalalitha had cornered Subramaniya Swamy in this incident. The other issue was whether Subramaniya Swamy had any desire of becoming the Prime Minister. Was Rajiv Gandhi remained as an obstruction for him to become the Indian Prime Minister. These are unanswered question. Such issues had raised the eye brows of every Indian student.
On the other hand, the Sinhalese were also not sincere to India. When the Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was on his inspection after the signing of the Indo-Sri Lanka Peace Accord, a Sinhalese Naval rating assaulted him. Who was the architect of this ugly incident. Originally it was a Tamil by the name Mahendran who originally was stationed in that position. But Premadasa wanted to plant a Sinhalese in his place and got it done overnight contrary to the Naval Regulations. In the Court Martial proceedings held at the Navy Head Quarters in Welisara, it was alleged that the Naval Rating was paid a sum of Rs.25,000/= at that time. The punishment for the Naval rating was six years imprisonment and termination with disgrace. The question is did the Naval rating really suffered in jail. On the contrary, he was given a 5-star treatment with AC room & foreign liquor in the prison. Remember, the weight of the Naval Rating was about 170 lbs and the weight of the Rifle was about 8 lbs. What would have happened had it struck on the head. Luckily on hearing the noise of the boots when he moved, Rajiv Gandhi had seen and bent and the strike with the Rifle slipped. What was most surprising was, no sooner R.Premadasa assumed power as President, he released the Naval Rating. Thereafter, it is history that about 40,000 to 60,000 Sinhalese youths were killed and thrown into the rivers. With such attitude of the Sinhalese ruling politicians, there is every reason to suspect that genocide could have taken place.
In the SAARC, the behavior of Sri Lanka amounted to some sort of humiliation to India. Sri Lanka was leaning towards, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal in respect of China and has failed to show SAARC spirit. Indian students are fully aware that China and Pakistan had special role in the massacre of innocent Tamils while India watched. In this respect they are also aware of the clumsy affair of the Indian politicians in the massacre of innocent Tamils. They have a reason to analyze the difference of behavior of Indian politicians when comparing the situation in Bangladesh and North-East province in Sri Lanka. They also have felt that India would have been protected by the Tamils from the Islamic terrorists who had targeted some cities in India. They have suspicions about the movements of the Islamic terrorists using Sri Lanka as a safe passage. The case of arrests of the Islamic terrorists belonging to Al-Aqsa movement was a case in point. The presence of the IPKF in Sri Lanka especially after the ransacking of Kathankudy also paved way for the growth of Islamic terrorism and the expansion of Wahhabist ideology for which Sri Lankan political leaders were in a helpless situation. It is regret to observe that the influence of Wahhabist ideologies on the Muslim politicians eventually made inroads unlawfully in various ways, to which the BBS has recently staged protests, the consequence of which saw Sri Lanka dangling between India and the Muslims. However, I would not promote the actions of the BBS. Even after the defeat of the LTTE, the tone of MR when addressing the nation, demonstrated that Tamils & Muslims are not segments of Sri Lankan community. Moreover, even Sarath Fonseka was not genuine. Since GR and Sarath Fonseka were military-minded, their motives have been be to destroy the enemy to the maximum or even wipe out a race. This was evident when GR made a statement to the effect that there will be no more Tamil issues soon after the war. But they failed to realize the lessons learned from the 2nd World War. The Tamils in foreign countries were friendly with the Sinhalese and Sri Lanka is unable to digest The Tamils bounced back like the Germans, when they began to shine in other professional fields, the consequence of which saw some Tamils being abducted in white vans. Such news is certain to hurt the feelings of the international community as well as the Indian students.
It is also unfair to cast remark on Tamil Nadu as Toiletnadu, because Premadasa who failed to receive Rajiv Gandhi, later accepted an invitation to visit India, especially after the attack on Rajiv Gandhi by the Naval Rating, which amounts to licking the dirt of India-thus becoming instrumental for the loss of sri Lanka’s dignity.
Further, the Indian students are aware that some Tamil Foundations such as LEBARA has come forward to help the Tamil refugees in Tamil Nadu. LEBARA went to the extent of helping the Indian charities. A.R.Rahuman’s charity is one of them. LEBARA now had stretched its helping hand even in Africa which the Indian students are aware. This being the situation, it would not be a surprise that Indian students may dictate terms on the Indian politicians not only regarding the issue of Sri Lankan Tamils, but also the security of India.

As Sri Lankan Tamil, all I can say here is that India should keeps its nose out of our affairs. As a Tamil, I have never faced any threats or discrimination from my brethren in this country. In times of war there will be collateral damage. In Sri Lanka, true innocent people were made to suffer and killed thanks to the war for the last 30 odd years. People, be it Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim or Christians we all paid the price and dearly too. I still remember how in a single day…i lost 5 of my closest friends from different ethnicities thanks to the Central bank Bomb Blast in Colombo by the LTTE. Where was the UNHRC and TN politicians when Colombo was being attacked by LTTE. Where and why are the UN not persecuting the US, UK over invasions in Iraq, Afghanistan. these two nations are killing its own people thanks to the interests of the certain countires. What about the mass atrocities carried out by the British when they plundered, raped and pillaged and killed many of the colonies they occupied. Leave us to our own destiny. We will raise like the Phoenix out of the Ashes.
To the students who featured in this video, the producers, and all the political lackeys, dont think you are educated and eligible to comment on hearsay, cos you have not been here to witness what happened and whats happening. Most of you would not have been outside your country or states to know what the world outside looks like. Concentrate on your studies and use that to solve your political and societal problems like your sisters being raped and killed. Ms. Jayalalitha and Mr. Karunanidhi did nothing when Sri Lanka was waging a war against the LTTE. Now that an election is on the horizon they are doing all they can to stir the emotions of the people over a cause that would either get some votes to stay or get them into power.

I just listened to this video very carefully and this ostensibly seems to me utterly nonsense. We as Tamils have undergone so much of suffering due this bloody Tamil Elam dream for more than 30 years. These LTTE rascals have done so much of damages to our national property together with massacring many innocent Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims. Just type and search in google what they have done to the entire nation. These callous youth in the video do not know abcd of the history of this country. Once should not bias in judging a situation. Hence these callous youth have to undergo many many stages in experiencing the truth of what LTTE have done and then only they will realize they are talking of something irrelevant. Moreover, despite myriad of issues in Tamil Nadu , these guys trying to create unnecessary issues in another country which shows greedy qualities of a selected group.

Try to put your state in order before embarking on others affairs. You guys have misinterpreted the real facts. There is no ethnic cleansing by the government. We have been suffering from the LTTE war for nearly 3-decades, the livelihoods of Sri Lankan have been disrupted. But now no bombs are exploded, people are day 2 day business happily and peacefully. Are you guys jealous. These speakers are supporting Tamil Ellam and they are LTTE sympathizers and have terrorist mentality. Why don’t you carve out a Tamil Ellam in Tamil Nadu.

The Tamils in India is already having Tamil Nadu. The Tamils in Sri Lanka lost their Tamil Eelam to the Sinhalese via the Europian colonials and have to get it back. Tamil Nadu is for the Tamils of India, Tamil Eelam is for the Tamils of Sri Lanka.
