So HE president agrees he is responsible for everything during his presidential period. He should continue to be the president till he die or he should never let opposition to take power so that he can prevent all these war crime prosecution. How dare a reporter ask questions like this and the ex UN ambassador release reports.

Even to lie and pretend you need a bit of intelligence. M. Rajapakse seems to lack it.

He says in the first election he won by a thin margin of about 100,000 votes while he won the second election by 1.8 million votes. We know how he won. Also, his answer to ‘family business’ was vague and not proper. Most of all, his English is horrible and shame to all Sri-Lankans.

      Blessing,
There are no saints in politics. At least MR finished the war that terrorist drag to divide the country for for 30 years and developing it fast. And we who live in villages see it in reality and accept it by voting him at every election. You antinational idiotic losers think MR win elections by cheating. Tell us, how come TNA got 78.5% in the North?

He should be thankful to the LTTE for preventing the Tamils to vote for Ranil.W in 2005 election. The story of the island would have been better than what it is now— a country waiting for the next loan from China. China will be the owner of the country soon!

…and the Chinese language will be the official language of Sri Lanka with reasonable use of the Sinhala and Tamil languages and no more BALU Bala Senas etc. to worry about???

It was quite painful to watch this interview not because of
President’s poor command of English in articulating his
answers and message that he would like to convey to the
world, it is because of how poorly EAM has prepared
the President for this interview. Then agin we should not
surprise for this kind of epic failures of EAM as it is
controlled by highly corrupted criminal Sajin Vass who
stole poor Srilankans’ EPF and ETF through Mihin Air and
continue to do so with President’s blessings. Since Prsident
has openly said in this interview that he has religious extremists
in his cabinet, for religious cohesion President must name
those religious extremists and kick them out of the cabinet.

It reminds me of a famous verse from JFK. You can fool all the people some time and some people all the time. You will not be able to fool all the people all the time. President and family wake up to the reality of what you are and what you are doing to the nation and change your path so that people could live in peace.

Our President reminded me of the waiters at Galle Face and GOH – half sign language, some Ingrisi thrown in and mostly bullshit. He didn’t know what IDPs were. The Al Jazeera man knew he had trapped MR to make
an idiot of himself and a shameless liar. What a sorry change to how Athulathmudali, Kadirgamar and GL Peiris come out in BBC and other TV
interviews. English-educated lawyer, uh! Was the man after a few tots?

About the conduct of the elections Tthe president said “European Union election monitors said the recently held Provincial Council elections in the North were free and fair. ” But there was no EU monitors – not a single one – in the election. But the Commowealth monitors from SAARC countries said in their report “

“We learned that opposition candidates and their supporters, as well as voters at large, faced instances of intimidation and harassment,”
“The freedom to hold campaign meetings and openly interact with the electorate was restricted,” adding that the “HEAVY PRESENCE and influence of the MILITARY” also compromised the electoral environment.

The Campaign for a Free and Fair Election (CaFFE) revealed in its first report in the backdrop of government claim that military was sent to barracks that “The Northern Province is the most highly militarised region in the country. There are close to 30 Army camps along the A9 road from Vavuniya to Jaffna. Some of the main Army camps that can be found in Vavuniya are St. Joseph’s Camp and Mandai camp, STF camps in Puliyankulam, Periyakulam and Gurusidam, and those of the 56th Regiment in Thandikulam, the 19th detachment of the Gajaba Regiment in
Kanakarayankulam; 561 Regiment and the 19th Sri Lankan Task Force. Meanwhile detachments of Regiments 574, 632, 53 and 571 could be found in Maankulam and Kokavil while an Army Intelligence base is located in Iranamadu. Large camps are also located at Elephant Pass, Maankulam, Pulapolei, Palei, Muhamalei, Eludumattuwal, Varani, Nunavil, Nanavilwala and Murasuvil.

Meanwhile media reports indicate that 15 Army divisions are stationed in Vanni and Jaffna ((the 21, 57, 58, 59, 61, 64, 53, 52, 55, 54, 56, 57, 58, 59, 61, 64, 65, 66 and 68 51, 52, 55 in the Jaffna peninsula and Islands.) In addition, several Task Forces’ (2, 3 and 7,) “independent” Regimental and Brigade units, two large naval commands and two Air Force bases are also located in the Northern Province. This continuous military presence in the North has caused concern among many political parties that are suspicious of the Government, believing that it may use these soldiers to intimidate political activists, stifle dissent, carry out political activities, etc.”

Does the president know or not know who monitored and what criticism they made about the conduct of the provincial electiins.

This bastard of a President does not know who the election monitors were or the number of army soldiers in the North! What a pathetic silly joker! How can he govern the country?

He knows everything including how many Army camps and Army personnel are there. He is the chief commander in charge of security. He said it is about six to eight Thousand troops. But news say it’s closer to 40,000 troops in North alone.

        http://www.thehindu.com/news/sri-lankan-army-still-has-vast-presence-in-north-east/article3915391.ece

If President Rajapakse wants correct info. he could get them from India.

He is a time share Joker lying to various circumstances.

But it will be “Athe Patthu” ….burn in own hand pretty soon.

“Whadduyou call this cadet corps..” Bloody joker, cunning, liar. He should have spoken in Sinhala. Pooped in English..displaying his shrewd southern lies to the world!

It is a welcome sign to see the President plucking courage, at last, to face the international media. It is ironical however, that, during the interview, he displayed an abundance of blatant amateurishness and incompetence, totally unbecoming of a head of a state, thereby subjecting him and the country at large to a lot of disrespect and insult in the eyes of the international community.
Perhaps this is the outcome of the popular belief that the people of a country get what they deserve!

MR say the reporters were allowed during the final Battle. Yes only Govt. run ITN and Rupawahini reporters were there. No other reporters or NGO’s or Red cross were allowed to stay. They were forced to leave the area. What a master crook liar.

C’mon guys…..you think MR is a fool to give an interview to a station he didn’t want to cover PC elections and give them an honest interview? In my view all his answers were twisted by him purposely to show the world that he cares a hoot about western lackeys such as Al Jazeera. How many of you have watched his UN speech? Can u believe it is the same person? OK he may have used the teleprompter, but the way he presented himself in front of the UN was admirable.. So you guys just got something to be very excited about after a thumping recieved at NWP & CP. You will think that interview is the start of the end of MR? Have nice dreams guys.

The difference between his UN Speech and the Al Jazeera disgrace
was in the UN he was reading. In the AJ/TV interview it was impromptu.
He can never handle an impromptu in English – none of the 4 brothers can – as CBK will even swear in an Affidavit.

Your defence, Ravaya boy, is poor. Try polkudu or punnakku in the morning twice a day for 2 weeks. You may lie more effectively.

Irresponsibly accusing a high international civil servant like the UNHC/HR in a high-profile TV medium, watched by millions in many countries, will entail serious consequences. He will be asked to
explain his childish claim “she has written her Report even before
she set foot in my country” Bazaar talk in the pavements of Maradana
with Alavi Moulana is different to what you are expected as Head of State. EAM must take responsibility because MR does not have the education, command of English or diplomacy to come before a global audience on TV. Sajin Vaas Gunawardena has messed up again.

If you had a child who was traveling from the bus from school to home and wise versa, you would have realized the innocent Sri lankans heart beat during the war time. Moment when a bomb blast occur some parents got fainted thinking of their children who had not returned home yet. Mother and farther never travelled together in one vehicle cause never knew when the suicider attacks the public. They wanted at least one to survie to look after the children. Rural Children were kept outside houses and sent to the jungle during night to avoid they being taken over by terrorists. These were common not only for majority, but for minority population as well.

We cannot justify the victory by counting the number kills from any of the opponents. Now time has come for all Sri lankans to get-to-gather and build the nation. Since the voting has already given to the existing president, why not support him even by an encouraging word to build this nation?. Forget the past give up the post mortems. Stop finding faults of what happened. Welcome international advisors & investors to the country. Come and teach our country leaders as to how to develop this nation in terms of *What economical activities should we carry out to improve our economy? *invest on manufacturing plants and our agriculture projects & help us I,prove our GDP *advise us us to get back our educated professionals who were brain drained to developed countries who are now driving those economies *Release international barriers for us to approach the world with our capabilities *come and visit the paradise island and help us improve our foreign exchange income.

In conclusion, please let us live freely at least in our last stage of life. We have been suffering since we were children for lmost 30 years.. Putting international pressure on our small island will push us back to where we were and will not have a relief till death. This is not the hell. This is heaven. Therefore beg international community, pls pls do not push us back to hell . . . . . !!

      Someone,

This is a common approch many of them thinks the same. But political scenario is completely different. If Rajapaksa wanted to rule Sri Lanka further he should create racism in the country…so he may get more votes. This is all happening based on the previous political experience. By doing this there will discremination to the minorities but it is managble.
To develope the country there should be proper planning and implementation. Country like Sri lanka it very far to talk this subject. Somehow some developments are carried out….mainly road projects. Even rural areas they have develop the roads. That is the reason UPFA won the election with 60% majority. But making only road country will not develop since economy crisis are all over the world.
Facing the economy crisis is a major challange that is what currently happening in Sri lanka. The development should be another challage and need brainy people in the cabinet ministry to think about. But currently mosttly donkeys are sitting there.
