Parliamentarian and JVP Propaganda Secretary Vijitha Herath has rejected allegations by the Joint Opposition that the vehicle driven by him on Monday night which crashed into a telephone post was government owned.

“This is utter lies, the vehicle belongs to me, which I have had since 2012 and I continue to pay the lease to the Bank of Ceylon for it,” he told the Colombo Telegraph.
Addressing a news conference today, UPFA MP Sisira Jayakody, who represents the Joint Opposition alleged that Herath was driving a government owned vehicle at the time of the accident on Monday night.
“First they said I was driving under the influence of alcohol, after I was acquitted of that charge, now they are spreading another lie,” Herath said.
He also added that police bail was granted to him because the damage of the public property was below Rs. 25,000/-. “Usually if the damage is over Rs. 25,000 then police bail cannot be granted. But in this case, the damage was estimated at Rs. 17,423, which I agreed to pay, so there was no issue in granting police bail for me,” he added.

The JVP remains exposed. Vijitha was drunk and there was no Breathalyzer test done by the doctor, because he was a politician. Champika Ranawaka got away almost with manslaughter. Vijitha who was stone drunk was provided an exit. At least the JVP should take action which is unlikely as Anura and Vijitha are room mates in Campus and probably slept together.

This charge was dismissed. Why would police file an unnecessary charge??
The charge alone lets the Cat out of the Bag.
These are people who represent the down trodden and draws salary from the party as their incomes go directly to party coffers.
SO THIS IS THE NEW JVP. THEY OWN VEHICLES.
No wonder Somawansa left the party in disgust and Wijeweera family criticised the party………..These guys have been enjoying at the expense of the downtrodden.

I just watched the Video of JVP Hera’s accident which was put on my FB page…
Bystanders there used Ammata Digital Harin’s language ,when someone mentioned it was JVP Media minister who was inside the crashed car.

Why do people waste so much time on this accident! He the driver has paid a fine for the damage of the public property and no one was injured. Remember People do get into accidents and it is important how do they handle it in a fair manner. He did not run away like another coward did and he called the police. The false propaganda is by the BLUE and GREEN Yakos who hate JVP. In many ways they are exemplary people at Present not in the past though.
