The Bar Human Rights Committe of England and Wales voices concern at the circumstances surrounding the impeachment of the Chief Justice of Sri Lanka, Shirani Bandaranayake, and at reports of attacks against the judiciary and the legal profession within Sri Lanka.
Chair BHRC - Mark Muller QC,
“We call on the Government of Sri Lanka to observe respect for the independence of the judiciary, and not to act on the report of the Parliamentary Select Committee until these concerns have been addressed.” says BHRC.
“We note that the Chief Justice has applied to the Court of Appeal to quash findings of the PSC. The application is to be heard on 3 January, but in the meanwhile Court of Appeal has advised the relevant authorities not to act in derogation of the rights of the Chief Justice until the application is heard and concluded. We hope that the decision of the Court of Appeal will be respected and complied with.” the BHRC further says.

We should be grateful to the Bar Human Rights of Committee for their concern over the the present threat to the independence of the our judiciary. Bur the Executive is so heady with power, I don’t think that he is in a mood to listen to reason. I heard even today a turncoat Minister insult the Chief Justice. This government needs some sort of `shock treatment’, not counsel or sermons!

Didn’t note the details,because their affairs don’t excite me.

Who could blame the Germans or Hitler when the first world war agreements had them losing a lot of their territory and the Jewish Bankers moving Gernam money into the West? If you read one side of the story you will still be a half wit. Red what history really has to say about the 1929 Bank crash and the real reason for the Second world war. History according to the Victor powers is really a whole load of myth and the Russians were never given their due for mauling the German armies in the Russian Winter. The “Brave” Americans entered the war long after the “begining of the end” had begun.

EVER SINCE WE GOT INDEPENDENCE THESE UNEDUCATED PARLIAMENT POLITICAL THUGS RUINED EVERYTHING WHAT THE BRITISH GAVE US, INCLUDING PLANTATION, EDUCATION, HEALTH, ECONOMY, SOCIETY, AND BROUGHT COMMUNAL AND RELIGIOUS DISHARMONY AND ALSO SUPPRESSED PEOPLE’S ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE AND PROGRESS TO KEEP THEM UNDER THEIR POLITICAL WINGS.
UNP RW is the biggest opposition Pay earner with RW getting Rs:86 million annual salary (as per Tiran Alles parliament speech)….with other benefits that we don’t know. Ranil was neve ever recommended by his uncle JRJ to get into politics. May be JR knew about Ranil’s ineficency(Longest looser and longest opposition leader). Also Ranil may be educated and knows about the economy and world issues. But he simply does not have the charisma, the Guts the nag the inner confidence, the perseverence to be a true leader towards the Party, towards the voters, towards the country and the world. I am telling this with confidence. Look at the mirror yourself. Mirror won’t tell lies.

Therefore NO WONDER RW WANTS HIS PARLIAMENT CLUB MEMBERSHIP TO BE SUPREME……..TO KEEP HIS HUGE PAYROLL (86 Million year) WITHOUT DOING A SINGLE WORK TO THE COUNTRY OR CITIZEN. WHAT CAN YOU CALL THIS OTHER THAN PIN PADI, SUMMA PEOPLE’S MONEY EARNING RESPECTABLE BEGGERS.
What qualification Anura Bandaranaike…..who was a Grade 10 dropout…..with no Law knowledge, jumping from one party to another and from one Parliament portfolio to another …..Know about LAW to interpret CONSTITUTION…….another parliament MUT…who is RANIL’S MENTOR.
WHAT WE CITIZEN NEED ONLY A TRANSPARENT, UNBIASED, OPEN AND JUST HEARING…..NOT A CROOKS KANGAROO COURT HEARING.
