Wheeler Dealer Dudley Sira is a bloody shrewd scoundrel. He made sure Bayagota sits next to Ranil not MY3 in the RESERVED Table for VVIP.

All these bloody rascals are in the game so no point defending any regime.

    STAY NEUTRAL. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

      Why all this mess ?

Namal – is to be linked with Wasim s murder and several other allegations being made on him – but mingling with President and PM as seen on the pics ?

Gotabaya- will perhaps be made acountable for the slain lasantha s murder.

        Seelawathie Jayasinghe

If a person is given a death sentence by the court of law, he/she cannot contest any elections even if they appeal. For example, in Duminda Silva’s case, he will not be able to contest any elections in the future.

If Gota is proved guilty in Lasantha’s murder case and if Namal is proved guilty in Thagudeen’s murder case, they both will not be able to contest any elections in the future.

There are only two options left for Maithripala Sirisena and his family members to live safely in Sri Lanka after his term ends in 2020. Either make sure that these two murder cases are carried out and a verdict given or have a friendly relationship with Gota and Namal so that they may not take any revenge in the future. . I think he has chosen the latter option.

The Rajapakshes (the rogues and goons of Medamulana who robbed the country and did all possible crimes that you can think of) are power hungry vultures who will do anything to capture the power in the next election and there are millions of fools out there who wants to elect them.

Whatever said and done, even though Gotabaya Rajapakshe says he will not enter politics nor contest elections, in 2020 they will definitely appoint him as the Presidential candidate because Basil is not as popular as Gota among the joint opposition. If Gotabaya wins the Presidential election, the Rajapakshes will make sure to win the general election that follows and appoint Namal Rajapakshe as the Prime minister.

If that happens, it is a very big threat to President Maithripala Sirisena (including his family members). It is not Mahinda or Basil but it is Gota and Namal that the Yahapalana government should be careful with. Knowing this fact very well, it looks like President Maithripala is using his brother’s wedding as a platform to make some friendly gestures to Gota and Namal so that they may not take any revenge in the future.

Even if Gota contests the Presidential election through a new party, he cannot win.

The Muslims will never vote for Gota because he is anti-Muslim. He was responsible for attacking the Muslims using grease devils and he was the mastermind behind the anti-Muslim BBS. The Tamils will never vote for Gota because he is anti-Tamil and was directly responsible for the Tamil genocide/war crimes. The Sinhala-Buddhist votes are divided between UNP and SLFP.

Dudley Sirisena has Invited GOD FATHER OF WHITE VAN EXECUTIONS ex defense secretary and Namal Rajapaksa for his sons wedding ceremony at a star class hotel in colombo.

During the Rajapakse era of brutality and violence , three groups operated together under Gotabaya Rajapakse to carry out the white Van abductions in the South, investigations have revealed

The first group , garners information regarding the individual to be abducted ,does the spying and prepares the groundwork for the abduction. In most instances, towards this a group of favorite spies of Gotabaya’s and a group of LTTE deserters are deployed.

The second team carries out the abduction proper. This is made up of two groups that arrive in the white Van. One such group is Karuna Amman’s murder squad while the other group varies from time to time. A group of the STF that is close to Gatabaya and a group selected from the security forces are in the other group .

For instance , the Red Cross members were abducted at the Fort, Colombo , by the murder squad of Karuna Amman , but the abduction of Prageeth Ekneliyagoda was carried out by Gotabaya’s group from the forces.

The third group is most deadly and weird. This group after the abduction is committed ,is engaged in wiping out and destroying whatever evidence that remains. They are Gotabaya’s spies , and they pretend that they are from the neighborhood when they arrive at the scene .

This group that monitors the abducted individual , expunge all evidence of the abduction that are left by the abductors accidentally or otherwise .This group while pretending as police officers or civilians leave no trace of evidence linked to the abduction . They ensure all such evidence is destroyed.

The murder of the individual who is abducted and then destroying the body of his is carried out by the second group that does the abduction.

Where the STF was deployed for the abduction and murder ,the bodies have been disposed of by setting fire to those bodies in jungles far away from Colombo. The body and head of those abducted by the Karuna Amman group had been cut open , and drowned in the sea , it has come to light.

Gotabaya has also created a separate team to coach the army and police media spokespersons how to give answers to the media when questioned on the abductions after they are committed. That team comprises high ranking officers of the army .

All politicians can never ,ever be trusted, all of them are self serving cheats, they fool the people to come to power and then drop them like hot bricks.
CBK is standing her ground, and will not be seen with the Rajapaksas, Sirisena and Ranil are cowards ,they are using the people who voted them to power ,in a merry go round ,remanding the crooks and bringing them out ,what form of justice is this ?
This can only happen in Srilanka.

After the end of her presidency in 2005, Chandrika Kumaratunga was living a life of semi-retirement in Sri Lanka. She had made it clear she was not interested in formal political power. Her party rival, Mahinda Rajapaksa consolidated his grip over the state, defeated the LTTE in a brutal war, expanded his family’s control, won the presidential and parliamentary elections and looked invincible.
Kumaratunga’s isolation was not merely self-imposed. Rajapaksa had made it clear that no elected representative of the party, Sri Lankan Freedom Party (SLFP) could meet her. When someone bumped into her at a public event and spoke to her for a few minutes, he/she would get a call from Rajapaksa the next morning, asking about the content of the conversation with ‘that woman’. He also closed the office she was entitled to as the former president, and she only had two people to assist her. Her meetings were closely monitored and it was a ‘police state’.
But people kept coming to meet her, to suggest she should take on a more active role. She felt that after 2010, when the war had ended and Rajapaksa had comfortably consolidated, things may improve – but they did not.
Corruption and family rule only intensified. The ethnic polarization only deepened. Representatives of the international community, with whom Rajapaksa shared a bitter relationship, came to her and ‘lamented’ about the country’s situation. But as a politician and political scientist, Kumaratunga felt there was no point ‘in forcing the hand of history’; unless the people in a democracy changed their minds, and were ready, it was best to wait.
And suddenly, two years ago, those stirrings of change began. Citizens began organizing themselves — fishermen, students, villagers protested and were killed; university professors began long marches from Kandy to Colombo and Galle to Colombo; civil society rose up; and it was evident that the tide was turning. People who called on Kumaratunga became more ‘aggressive’ in asking her to come back. She felt she and her family had done enough — she had seen her father and her husband assassinated after all — but would ‘help’.
It did help that Kumaratunga had maintained ties with her old rival, former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe of the United National Party. He used to be her brother’s classmate and had served as PM under her. He used to call on her once a year; they sometimes had a meal together. And for about two years, the discussion veered towards politics and the need to fight together. And then, Kumaratunga began looking for a common candidate around which the entire opposition could coalesce.
By design or due to a set of circumstances, she was back in active politics.
    Fighting a ‘common enemy’
On Saturday morning, speaking to a small group of journalists in New Delhi, on her first trip to the Indian Capital after the political change in Sri Lanka, Kumaratunga traced back the past decade and then recalled how she narrowed down on Maithripala Sirisena, the current President as a common candidate.
“He had worked under me, and was not known to be corrupt or a murdered. It was difficult to find someone in my party at the leadership level who met those parameters,” she said, with a smile.
The challenge was now in ensuring communication and coordination. Remember Rajapaksa was still in power, and communication was closely monitored. The alliance tumbled upon Viber. “The Government of Sri Lanka did not know how to tackle Viber. I later checked with intelligence agencies and you can identify who is calling whom on Viber and Sri Lanka did not know how to do that. Otherwise, we would all have been dead,” said Kumaratunga.
The former president admitted it was the ‘common enemy’ who brought them together. But the alliance worked and in January, Rajapaksa was defeated. Sirisena became President; Wickremesinghe was PM; and Kumaratunga played the role of the political elder, counseling the two. She however rejected any suggestion that she is the ‘bridge’ between the two.
However the alliance and the triangular relationship frayed when Sirisena gave a ticket to Rajapaksa to contest parliamentary polls. Kumaratunga admits she was upset with him, but he redeemed himself by certain actions. “He was determined not to let the baddies come in. But he was trying to keep the party together and in that process, he trusted two party secretaries who were deceiving him.”
This was a dangerous moment. If Rajapaksa had won in the August 17 parliamentary elections, Kumaratunga said, “many people would have been killed”. Fortunately for the alliance, that did not happen. Sirisena and his supporters backed Wickremesinghe against their own party. And the former won, getting sworn in as President. Kumaratunga’s hard work had paid off.
    The Tamil question
Kumaratunga believes this is a ‘golden opportunity’ for Sri Lanka to address the Tamil question, for both the major parties of the country are in government together. Otherwise, the track record has shown that when one party attempts something, the opposition does its best to wreck it. “Only Rajapaksa is outside now, but without a party apparatus, he will not be able to do much.”
She is now the chair of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation, which is kicking off a set of projects. This includes returning large tracts of land, that were taken away by the military, to the people; it would include trauma counseling for the families which have seen enforced disappearances and have not attained closure; it would also include resettlement and building houses with the assistance of the international community.
The issue of war crimes and justice has been the bone of contention both within Sri Lanka as well as between Sri Lanka and the international community. Kumaratunga said Human Rights Council in Geneva has already had discussions with the government, which is pushing for an internal — rather than an international — mechanism and trying to give the confidence that this would be done ‘effectively and honestly’.

First photo tells very long story.President Maithree is having clear deal with former defense secretary through his bother Dudley. But what appears is ironic former Presidential candidate(now President) promise said stage he will close the airport so those who accuse of robbing money from country will stop leaving the country.I supported the Yahpalana government expecting better kind of Government not bunch of supporters who help rogues who cover their past deeds.I have personally no grudge against US Citizen former Gajaba Veteran Lt.Col.(Rtd) Gotabaya Nandasena Rajapaksa whom I have helped during the war.
But as citizen of Sri Lanka I have few questions which I think he should answer to citizens of Sri Lanka.
1/ On whose authority former DS gave arms to Avantguard maritime services Lanka ?Does Commander in Chief (President) authorized it ?
2/ Does Mr.Rajapakse former DS aware that in Procurement of International Arms buyer (GOSL) have to give undertaking(End User Certificate) to the seller these arms(buying company)these weapons are for Sri Lankan Forces & Police exclusively.Did he breached the agreement ?
3/ Does the Former DS bought weapons separately aforesaid comapny ?If so Does he followed necessary procedure of procurement adhering to FR & AR ?

4/The weapons given to Avantguard specially bought for this Yes or No?
5/What was the basis or criteria Avantguard chosen among other compettive security companies? Does competitive bidding or tender procedure followed ?
6/Does small company like Avantguard have capacity & expertise to do this kind sea borne operation ?
7/Who decided on payments from each operation ? Other than weapons what state resources used ? If so did sufficient payment was paid to the State ?
8/Why was Sri Lankan Navy wasn’t allowed to do this ?
9/ Is it legal to operate Floating Armoury in Sri Lankan Legal Jurisdiction without proper supervision ? Who will be responsible if these weapons lost or used against other country when weapons stored outside Territory of Sri Lanka ?
10/ Was there proper audit or physical verification weapons manifest maintained ?Does MOD have list of all the serial no.type of issued weapons ?
11/Who is the Officer from MOD who monitored this other than company officials ?If so does he reported MOD operation running smoothly ?

      Citizen Silva,

The U.S. the UN, Interpol and other Intelligence bodies have carefully watched the activities of Avant Garde, the “clever” multi-billion dollar coveret operation under the supervision of GR during their tenure. They have data of every weapon brought in, shipped out, to whom/where and at what price. This is one more trap the Rajapakses have foolishly fallen into in their greed to make quick money. If and when the opportunity presents itself the “files against the Rajapakses” will be opened. The fate that befell Charles Taylor of Liberia (now rotting in a Hague jail) is not out of the question.

The corrupt Rajapakses chose to eat more than they can chew. Naturally, they will choke themselves to death.

Does not the gathering reveals that politicians, particularly the Sri Lankan type, have more than one type of behaviour such as one thinking in their mind, a different behaviour within the family, another with friends and yet another in politics which is most cunning one.
