Ultra nationalist politico Wimal Weerawansa has called for the annihilation of wombs that create Wahabism and suicide bombers, as he spoke to journalists following visit to Mahanayakas in Kandy.
MP Weerawansa speaking to media in Kandy yesterday – one of the holiest cities of Sri Lankan Buddhists – said, destroying wombs that nurture Wahhabism and suicide bombers, is the way to counter the threat of Islamic extremism.
“It is clear to see from Kurunegala doctor’s issue that this is not an isolated incident – several similar issues have been reported from various parts of the country. It also shows that this was a well organized operation that had extended to barbaric, extreme lengths,” he said.
Weerawansa said therefore, politicians should not play hide and seek with lives of future generations.
“Things that need to be prohibited, have to be done. Wombs that create suicide bombers must be destroyed. The Muslim community too has a responsibility in fighting this because it is within their community, that this womb has surfaced,” he said adding, “Killing an unborn life is worse than even ending 300/400 lives with a suicide bomb!”
Meanwhile he also went on to state that although now is not an apt time to think of Presidential candidates, it is clear to see that people’s call for a Gotabaya Rajapaksa Presidency is growing.
