Mangala Samaraweera condemning calls by Asigiri Chief Prelate to stone Muslims, says the hateful words by the monk is a ‘Talibanization’ of Buddhism and that no Buddhist can condone a call to stone another human to death.
Publishing a tweet from his official Twitter account this morning, Mangala says now is the time for true Buddhists to unite against the religion from being tainted by violent extremism.
Mangala reminds the Buddhist community that it goes against all Buddhist principles and beliefs to condone a statement to stone another human being to death, even if it emanates from monks.
Below is his tweet:
True Buddhists must unite NOW against the Talibanization of our great philosophy of peace & love of all beings. No Buddhist can condone a statement to stone another human being to death, even if it emanates from the robed orders.
Mangala so far has been the only politician to issue a public rejection and condemnation of the Asgiri thera’s anti-Muslim speech made on Sunday, that blessed violence against Muslims.
Despite availability of video proof of the speech, Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana still remains immune to being charged with violating the ICCPR Act.

I wish the Thero did not mention Upaasakamma part.
Even in our indignation, we should not forget that Buddhism is a non-violent religion.
A Muslim Doctor named Safi has done 8000 caesarean operations and upto now over 1000 Sinhalese mothers including one Muslim whose husband is a Sinhalese, have complained that they haven’t conceived after the operation and also having serious after effects.
Before going into the sterilization part, an investigation has to be conducted to find out as to why these mothers, 1000-in-number, had to undergo sudden caesarean operations by Dr. Safi, while they were waiting for normal childbirth.
According to one mother, Dr. Safi had taken her to the operating theater in the middle of the night and conducted the operation without any staff!!!
This is a very serious case.
If a Sinhalese Doctor had done this, we all know the reaction of the international community, the UN, the UNHRC, the SLHRC, Amnesty International, various NGOs and INGOs.

This serious allegation of possible sterilization WITHOUT THE CONSENT of pregnant women can only be proved by a medical examination.
The common method for female sterilization is either by cutting or blocking the Fallopian Tube.
It is easy to verify this.
As I clearly pointed out in my previous comment, before going for illegal sterilization issue, the first thing is to check the medical records of the pregnant women who had to undergo caesarean operations, out of the blue.
As apparent, all these over 1000 pregnant women were supposed to have normal delivery!!!! The investigations should be started from that point.
The Police seem to be beating around the bush aka doing the last thing first.

Having said that, there was no proper investigation about sweets sold at school canteens although there were cases of dizziness among some children after consumed them.
