Rajapaksa loyalists, Willie Gamage and Ariyathilaka Dasanayake were released on bail today by the Gampaha Additional Magistrate, after the FCID arrested them this afternoon over a land deal in Gampaha involving former Minister Basil Rajapaksa. The land concerned is believed to have been purchased in an irregular manner.

The Magistrate released both, Gamage and Dahanayake on a cash bail of Rs. 50,000 and a Rs. 4 million personal surety. This is the second such case this month where an arrest was made over a land deal. Early this month, Basil Rajapaksa was also arrested but later released on bail, over a land purchased in Matara which was allegedly carried out with some irregularities.
Dahanayake was the former chairman of the Sri Lanka Savings Bank, while Willie Gamage, functioned as both the Chairman of the Strategic Enterprise Management Agency and Secretary to the State Resources and Enterprise Development Ministry.

During Mara’s reign, he amassed a huge wealth including 17 luxury houses in Colombo, shares in Dubai Mariot hotels, real estates in Australia which are managed by his son.
More investigations are needed to dig into this man’s corrupt deals and wealth amassed with Basil and Gota’s help.

The ordinary folk wii languish in jail for a parking offences, or will pay thumping fines because they did not oil palms, and are arrested by the cops who wait like “kakkas” to swoop on them, while the SHARKS who mutilate the Country evade not only the “Kakka Cops” but also the so called “BRAINS TRUST”.
