After three days of torture at the hands of Sri Lanka’s security forces, Thusi Srivastava was at breaking point.
Stripped naked, beaten with iron bars and subjected to mock suffocations and drownings after her abduction in northern Sri Lanka, the Tamil detainee thought her condition could not get any worse.
She was wrong. “Physically I was in very bad shape,” said Thusi [not her real name], recalling her ordeal in February.
“But the next day, two of my interrogators came back and raped me – to read more click here

Holding an international investigation into war crimes and widespread human rights violations in the island of Sri Lanka, has become long overdue. The pain and suffering of the victims has been increasing over the past 3 years.
The main perperators, at the top of the chain of command are: President Percy, his brother Gota, commanders of the army, navy, air force and police.
Even though a few Sinhalese are also tortured or killed, by the murderous Sri Lankan state, the Tamils bear the overwhelming brunt of the torture, abductions and killings. This is part of the genocidal policy of the Sri Lankan state towards the Tamils.
The Sinhala Buddhist army which is occupying the north and east, is 99% ethnic Sinhalese – and has been so, for the past 30 years. This terrorist army is at the vanguard of the Sri Lankan state’s project to grab Tamil owned land in the north and east, and populate them with paid Sinhalese settlers from distant Sinhala districts. The paid Sinhala settlers are convicts, thugs or family members of the army. The Sinhala Buddhist army also uses a small number of Tamil paramilitary terrorists to perform murder, abduction and torture.

I thought the Sri Lanka’s Commonwealth summit is to white wash the atrocious crimes of the Sri Lankan state by vested interests.
Ask Sharma if I am wrong. All this is a game against the people of Sri Lanka, especially the Tamils who are asking for freedom from oppression from the genocidal Sinhala dominated state.
Ironically all these games are in the name of democracy.

Sinhala Sri Lanka has to face the truth one day. We have to continue to expose Sri Lanka’s true face. Even most peace loving Sinhalese agree that torture and rape a common weapons used by the military with the full backing of the ruling regime.

We have faced the truth for 30 long years day and night when your Velu was alive. Like it or not, its peace time for everyone all around the island now.

Propaganda against Sri Lanka orchestrated by the LTTE rump abroad, with the help of captured politicians and journalists continues unabated. Colin McRae, who has been leading the campaign in fact accused a Tamil Sri Lankan in Norway of being in the pay of the Rajapakse government when he had the audacity to disagree with him and challenge him at a recent event.
Your assertion re. the most peace loving Sinhala is utter bunkum. India has a long tradition of civilised behaviour. Yet, it’s civil society has in the recent past descended into the kind of behaviour you allege against the Sri Lankan army. Will Indians in Sri Lanka follow suit.?

What to do? Tamil SL is raped already. This is why no SL Tamil woman is safe in SL.
Hope none of the Tamil readers have any female relatives in SL!

The 2009 picture, with the fence around the Menik farm, still used by the foreign correspondents sadly illustrates that they have learnt nothing. The 10000 LTTE terrorists who were cornered amongst the 290,000 were arrested, rehabilitated and released. Quite unlike the ‘civilised’ behaviour of the West when Guantanamo is considered to be still holding known innocents without trial and hope of release.

This is why it is impossible to find a Tamil woman in SL who was not raped by the army.
That explains it.

When Sri Lanka is this dangerous to Tamils why do Tamils live in Sri Lanka.
Why don’t Tamils move to Tamilnadu or to their beloved Canada, UK, australia like countries ?
Tamilnadu is just 16 KMs away, Why do Tamils SUFFER THIS MUCH in SRI LANKA.
Only thing is even in Tamilnadu, RAPE and INCESTUAL – RAPE are very very common. LTTE cadres also raped Tamil girls in order to produce Suicide bombers.
