Meanwhile the Writ Applications filed at the Court of Appeal by Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake will be supported before a three judge bench of the Court of Appeal at 10 a.m. tomorrow.

Lawyers/ Judges,
Here is my take:
1) Ignore the antics of politicians and act with impeccable decorum.
2) Make one or more hard hitting press statements at the end of the day(depending on what happens tomorrow).
3) Identify the key culprits (through video perhaps) and haul them before courts and give them the appropriate punishment expeditiously.
If you also stoop to the low levels of these thugs, the general populous will have a difficult choice to make.

I do not find any reasons for the CJ to step down. Apparently what happened to the monies deposited in the Golden Key. Are there no ways to find out whether this large amount of money been utilized for the purchase of some establishments. The Income Tax Dept. has an obligation to find out which establishments have been transferred recently and the new prospective owners. How are they going to account for such monies. Surely there should be a drama where number of characters have contributed their role. Poor Ceylinco boss Lalith Kotalawela and his companions were targetted in this drama and people were misled. There is strong suspicion as to how the monies of the Golden Key depositors were plundered. It is a group which has master-minded this broad-day robbery. I think there is a possibility that the CJ would have smelt this suspiciously and this may be a reason why they want to impeach her. This is also one reason why the PSC had denied her requests for time to file answer. No one cares for Mervyn Silva – a joker. It is time for every right thinking citizens to ask their conscience and consider this issue and lend a helping hand to the CJ to fight for justice.

They want Shirani Thilakawardana, as , she is foolish. Choksey has money invested at ridiculously high interest rates, which he invests at compound interest basis. Now he has amased over 55 million rupees as he has been getting interest on interest at these high rates and not paid tax. This is double jeopardy for him as he wants his son to be a presidents council. So they want the CJ to step down. That way they can deduct all the interest paid to the small time depositors and get all their loot.
