RIYADH — The imam of a Riyadh mosque has been arrested for allegedly encouraging young men to carry arms and go wage jihad in war-torn areas during his Eid Al-Fitr sermon, Al-Hayat newspaper reported Thursday.
The newspaper did not name the imam but said he delivered his sermon at Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdul Wahab Mosque in Al-Salam district of east Riyadh.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Dawa and Guidance has moved in quickly to suspend the imam, who also called for the release of a Saudi woman terrorist nicknamed the “Al-Qaeda Lady”, who has been jailed on charges of supporting terrorists.
The ministry’s Undersecretary for Mosque Affairs Dr. Tawfiq Al-Sudairy described the imam’s actions as “unacceptable” because he violated Islamic norms in his sermon.
He said the ministry has suspended him from leading prayers or delivering sermons and added that further punitive measures would be taken against him.

Not just sit, we all stand on earth since birth. So, Buddhists doesn’t deny Buddha sat on the earth. Muslims in general have a different outlook to that of the Buddhists. That I understood when I read the Koran and Hadith. Muslims hate idols. Some Muslims hate idols more than others. For example, during the last ten years, Wahhabis and Salafists have destroyed Muslim monuments whereas Sufis and Ahamadis preserved them. We’ve seen Wahhabis demolishing monuments such as burial sites, homes and historical locations that were associated with prophet Muhammad in Mecca and Medina. Taking a cue from such vandalism, I am sure you Jihadi Amarasiri have come up with stupid arguments to look down upon our veneration of the the Bo Tree.
BBS is not fighting over just one Bo Tree. They are fighting to save all that is gifted by the nature. Koran tells us that Allah had created everything and for the benefit of the man. We do not believe that. So, the Koran degrade us as animals. Koran doesn’t give us the right to think and to believe what we think is right. And Wahhabis, Salafits have interpreted the Koran to justify the use of Jihadis to kill and induce fear to force Kuranic mythical premise upon everyone.
The beginning and the timeline of ‘everything’ that Science projects is just a premise. It is not proven. Sitting in his wheelchair Hawkins ha been visualizing incessantly ways to prove the existence of the singularity before the Big Bang. But he is growing old without a unified theory to prove it.
The Buddha said, ‘nothing last for ever’. And that premise stands arguably true to date. Buddha also said his Dhamma is not to find the beginning of the cosmos but about four noble truths and the path to seek that truth. But it is not forced upon anyone. Buddhists do not oppose discussion and logical arguments on their beliefs, indeed they willingly do so in various blogs and threads.

1. Do you visit the Mazarat (holy shrines) of Aulia Allah?
Shrine worshipping or intercessors (living or dead to dust) between a god adoring person is not in accord to the concepts in the Semitic religions other than man himself making innovations to the comfort of his own mind.
2. Do you show respect towards Prophet? (i.e. Prophet Muhammad, peace upon him)
Muhammad himself mentioned like the Gautama Buddha, I am merely a man of flesh and bones do not worship nor praise me in your invocations.
3. If you get an opportunity to kiss the Rawdha (golden fence) covered of Muhammad’s grave. Will you do that?
There’s no goodness associated in kissing a grill or the black stone with reverence, whereas the stone or the grill or the burial place of Muhammad will not intercede between your faith, the goodwill nor transgressions. So, whomever does it are doing innovations to appease their own souls, and cannot be justified as virtues of Islam.
4. Do you worship on the night of Lailatul Bra’at? (Shab-e-Barat)
Lailat Al Bara’at – Sunnis (including your so called Wahhabis) observe in Mid-Sha’ban where there are 5 nights when dua (prayer) is answered, one of them being the night of the 15th of Sha`ban as a night of worship and salvation.
5. Do you worship on the night of Al Isra wa Al Me’raj?
– It was the day of Declaration of the universality of Islam

But the Shia believe it is permissible to perform Tawassul through Muhammad, his family, the Prophets, and pious believers.
8. Do you seek blessings from the relics (Tabarrukat) of Messengers of Allah and Aulia Allah?
It has been the practice of the some delusional people to show utmost respect to preserve Tabarukaat (Islamic Relics) [although none exists]. The word “Tabarruk” does mean ‘Blessings’ to show respect and veneration of Islamic Relics, to gain blessings from them, to utilize them as a means for gaining victory, or keep them near at the time of problems, or during any illness, or to steer away hardships, was and is an ill conceived practice which does show but ignorance within mankind’s selfishness and stupidity.
9. Do you believe in Istighasa from Prophets of Allah and the Aulia Allah?
Istighasa – Supplication and invoking aid from dead souls (let it be bygone prophets or domesticated animals) cannot be associated to a Godly worship but shamanism.
10. Do you kiss Qur’an just to show your respect?
Indeed it is worthy of respect, but reading it with a clear vision and wisdom to abide by it’s content is much worthier than a thousand kisses.
11. Do you start Ramadan and Eid based upon the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad?
The rule is – Abide by the law of your brethren when in congregation unless it breaches the the fundamentals of Islam. Otherwise, your are free to choose in your own will whenever you want to fast or to break-fast.

Allow me to correct you brother. Allah did not WRITE the Quran, neither Prophet Mohammed wrote it. The Quran was ‘revealed’ to Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) who was illiterate through ‘Wahi’ (I could not find the exact translation for this word)it was whispered into his ears by Archangel Gabriel, as dictated by Allah, word by word, verse by verse for 23 years. What the Prophet repeated by mouth was written down by his companions (Sahabas) and was compiled into a book form in the later years. Difficult to believe is it? The verses were memorised by the sahabas and the Prophet made sure every word was correctly recorded. The Quran remained pure up to now, even a single letter has not been changed. The Quran confirms the previous books followed by Jews and Christians (in their original forms)as God’s words. We believe in the same God that was worshipped by Prophets Abraham, Moses and Jesus (may be even by Buddha) (Peace be upon them). Btw no other book gives a definition for God other than Quran.

Muhammad’s revelations has proved he failed a direct test of his claim to prophet-hood.
I’ll give you just one example. Muhammad was asked to explain why a child will look like one parent as opposed to looking like the other. He claimed that Gabriel came and gave the inspired answer. Bukhari vol. IV: no. 546 tells us that ‘we are dealing with revelation and not just his personal opinion. He said that the child will look like which parent reaches his or her sexual climax first.’ Is that true? I can come up with a lot more if youwant

Followed by this they set ablaze 117 abodes of the followers and were chased away from their place of birth, never to return back. All in the name of true Islam.

Patriot & others: I am just an ordinary Muslim who follow Quran and Sunnah as best as I can. I do not belong to any ‘sect’ as there were no sects during Prophet Muhammad’s time. All such groups came long after his demise. The Prophet taught us how to be patient, how to live a simple life and how to live harmoniously with people of other faiths. People who call themselves true Muslims often do not follow his real teachings, its a sad fact. Yet, there are millions of Muslims who strive to follow the real Islam. I do not claim to be a better Muslim as I too sin with or without my knowledge for which I ask for pardon from Allah (God) alone. Life is too short and I believe there are two more stages we have to face, one in the grave and another at the place of eternity – hell or heaven. I keept on reading all criticism against islam, and i gave a desparate attempt to say, Those are not true… I keept on finding anti arguments. looked on books etc.. Only answer that i can come up is ” IT is Allahs words, dont talk about it” or ” Allah is great ” and the way of skpping the question without answering it.
And I found Criticism on ISlam IS TRUE and CORRECT. We dont have answers. so we skip the question, ban talking about it or if not we attack the pesron who question , cut his hand and finally kill him. this is how we preserve ISlam.
then I started finding faluts with buddhism. and try to learn what it says and critisize it. I understood, OH my god… !! this is truth !!
we were been cheted. ( just like quran ask us to cheat others)
then i talked to my muslim firends. they said, as per shariya, I should be killed if I leave islam. and that is what Shariya ( so-called Gods law) says.
so i took a decision. Luckely Sri Lanka is not giverned by shariya. so I still have the fredom to go inserch of eternal harmony. So i started my journy, dispite the critisicm of family, firends and the muslim society i lived.
I know what people would comment on this. what they would say. most muslims would say, “im a budhist and im fake ( as we can see in many answers on anti-islam ideas) or they wiuld rather coverup my argument by saying something irrelevet ( Allah is great or etc )
While i feel sorry about most of this muslims who are still been cheaed by islam, i invite those who are still can think, tio see the reallity. hating and killing non mulslims, coverting others in to islam, holy-war… these are not the ways of life. stop hating others and go for eternal harmony !

I find most writers whos comment are published, are closet racist. BBS Is
evil and it will break up Sri Lanka. As a muslim i can tell you, we have always had a Sri Lanken Identity. But with BBS Coming and breaking mosque,and with government support police looking the other way. Thinkings are changing in the muslim community, this will eventually lead to civil war, casualties will be on both sides, and sides will have to be taken-this is logical conclusion of what these monks with no brains want.
