Reports are emerging that President Maithripala Sirisena’s son Daham has been spotted at Racecourse Colombo with at least 40 members of the presidential security division.
The sight has been off-putting to many people at the venue since the new President campaigned against abuse of power and single family rule by the Rajapaksa regime.
However reports that Daham Sirisena was involved in an altercation are incorrect Colombo Telegraph can confirm.
Daham Sirisena has a chequered past, after he was accused of assaulting DIG Ravi Waidyalankara’s son Asela at Passikudah in February 2013.

I am not a supporter of My3 but I have to speak up and say yes, he was there and he had bodyguards, but NOT 40 of them and he behaved quite well. There was no one at the venue who had a problem with him.

I think it is Lankanewsweb that is reporting that this son of Maithri went to the night club on racecourse and demanded the club turn off the CCTVs and then started harassing the patrons who proceeded to leave because the PSD was supporting Daham.
If this is true it should be easy to prove due to all the witnesses. Assuming it is true and not just a Mahinda smear campaign , why couldn’t the PSD just tell the kid that they weren’t going to back him up if he decides to be an asshole.
