First Anniversary Of Senseless Carnage On Aluthgama Muslims

Election of President Maithripala Sirisena averted an Aluthgama type attack on Muslims to mark the anniversary of 1915-Sinhala Muslim riots?

Today, Monday June 15, marks the first anniversary of the unwanted and senseless racist pogrom on innocent and helpless Muslims at Aluthgama, Dharga Town and Beruwala which ended up in the political funeral of the Rajapaksa brothers who were accused of being behind these calculated atrocities.

Killing of Muslims, looting of their belongings and the destruction of their properties were meticulously planned and executed to military precision in all these three places.

However, the island’s mainstream media, increasingly under Sinhala racist influence and the anti Muslim Israeli lobby, observed a news blackout and tried to cover up the shameful carnage. The local media only woke up to the reality after seeing the wide coverage to the mayhem in the international media.

Aluthgama MulsimsRealizing the adverse publicity and the growing wide spread criticism by mainstream fair minded Sinhalese intellectuals, professionals and Buddhist monks, the Rajapaksa government began a program to rebuild the burnt, destroyed and damaged property. This includes places of worship.

However the wound remains deep as the perpetrators escaped scot free and the looted belongings to the value, some estimate at billions of rupees, have disappeared forever. Those racist elements which instigated these atrocities have once again begun to carry out their hate Muslim campaign.

Now a year after the carnage the unanswered question is why did the Rajapaksa government unleash a wave of violence against Muslims targeting their religious, cultural and economic life, aimed at eliminating them as a community, culminating in the Aluthgama, Beruwala and Dharga Town carnage?

Did the Island’s Muslims who are as blue blooded citizens of this country as the others are, do any crime? Did the Muslims attack any Temple, Sinhalese businesses or oppose the Rajapaksa government in any way?

Instead as the most peaceful of all the three major communities in the country the Muslims, as stated by former Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva, only wanted to live in peace and harmony with all communities Those Muslims in the north and east were keen to return to their homes and rebuild their lives shattered during decades of ethnic war caused by the racist politics of the two major political parties-United National Party and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

Of course corrupt Muslim politicians shamelessly remained with the Rajapaksa government while jet setting wheeler dealer moulavis and discredited civil society leaders were more keen to please Rajapaksa brothers, perhaps for personal benefits at the expense of the community, than attending to the sufferings and grievances of Muslims.,

In unleashing this carnage the defeated President Rajapaksa government and the racist elements that carried out the hate campaign against Muslims have conveniently forgotten the role played by the Muslim community in opposing the LTTE call for a separate Elam to protect the territorial integrity of the country and the price they paid for such a stand.

What they also failed to understand is that if not for firm Muslim opposition to Elam call, the country would have been divided long ago as it was not militarily equipped, at the early stage, to meet the challenges posed by separatists backed by India.

Now the question is whose agenda was this hate Muslim campaign poisoning the Sinhalese minds against Muslims to the detriment of all communities and the country?
Perhaps the agenda of defeated Rajapaksa government’s new found friend Israel- the international pariah which destabilized the entire Middle East, time and again kicked out by Sri Lankan governments in the past only to return like midnight thieves.

However Muslims were aware that destructive racist elements always saying that “we will take care of the Tamils first and deal with Muslims later”. Perhaps they got that opportunity in the aftermath of the defeat of the LTTE in May 2009 with the patronage of Rajapaksa government and, as I always suspect, the support of the Israelis who have stealthily entered the country with the support of Rajapaksa government and managed to penetrate many key areas.

AluthgamaDealing with local politicians is simple for Israelis, whose only agenda has been against Islam and Muslims as, by and large, most local politicians and even media personnel are ignorant of Israel’s crime records and their indifference towards injustice towards Muslims here and abroad.

This is the reason why the Muslims voted for President Maithripala Sirisena in the 8 January 2015 presidential elections .Muslims feared an island wide attacks on Muslims this year especially in the context of provincial counselor Udaya Gammanpila openly stating that an attack on Muslims is inevitable in 2015 to mark the anniversary of 1915 Sinhala Muslim riots.

This fear was further strengthened by the Rajapaksa government allowing Myanmar’s controversial Buddhist monk Asin Wirathu, once described by TIME magazine as the “Face of Buddhist Terror”, who has been carrying on a relentless campaign against the Rohingya Muslims, to enter the country and giving a reception usually given to a head of state and signing an agreement with anti Muslim racist outfit Bodu Bala Sena.

In view of these developments many knowledgeable Muslims believe that the election of President Maithripala Sirisena averted an island wide Aluthgama type attack on Muslims by racist elements to mark the 1915 Sinhala-Muslim riots this year.

It was under such circumstance Muslims observe the first anniversary of the Aluthgama carnage.

Meanwhile a book titled “Mayhem during Curfew “on Aluthgama, Bruwala and Dharga Town atrocities was released recently. This book contains a collection of selected articles, appeared both in the local and the international media, on the attacks on Muslims of Aluthgama, Dharga Town and Beruwala. The local media dismissed the pogrom and thus the need to put the record straight for posterity.

Writing such articles while the present government is trying their best to bring the communities together is not good. We should try and forget the past and look forward to a multicultural/multi-racial Sri Lanka as it used to be in the 1950s.

Sure we like to forgive and forget and get-on with our lives. Even the new government of Maithri and Ranil has done a lot to foster cordiality and goodwill amongst all communities and we appreciate that very much. It also must be said that as minorities, we are much better off now than under the Rajapakse regime. But the simmering under-current of looming threats of further annihilation if MR returns as the next PM is very real. Even the promoting of hatred and contempt towards minorities and their dress codes and lifestyles, the demand for closure of all minority established banking, insurance, money lending and business systems are all threats that still go on unabated. I don’t wish to sound paranoid at this juncture, but in my opinion what we are experiencing now, may be just the calm before the storm.

This joker is talking about a CARNAGE! Has he looked up the word before using? Probably he did, but still decided to use it to exaggerate.

The Aluthgama riots did not start spontaneously. They did because Muslim thugs assaulted a monk’s driver and the monk himself following a little road mishap. Then they threw stones at a procession to protest against lack of police action against Islamist Muslim thugs. They also killed innocent villagers, but continue to complain like innocents suffering “prsecution”.

There seem to be a few extremist Islamists who have invaded the CT website to write such baseless filth, abusing Buddhism and Buddhists.

These Islamist thugs from Bathurdeen and Hakim to Hussein should know that as foreigners who have come to this country for trade, they are enjoying a bloody good life here. The Kandy town is 100% controlled by them. About 80% of Galle, with 00% of the Galle Fort is theirs. No point intalking about Bambalapitiya and Kollupitiya to Wellawatta, Dehiwala and beyond on the Galle Road.
      But they still keep complaining!

So where is the persecution fakirs?

Sounds like a Muslim hater. Better go to the right source and get the true fact, before making yourself look ill informed. The Muslims did not start this, but rumors started by trouble makers to make the Muslims look like the culprits started it. Only those easily fooled believes these baseless stories.

The whole world knows exactly what happened. The truth from first hand accounts, the cctv camera footage taken from homes in the vicinity clearly shows young juveniles and women marauding as mobsters with back-packs filled with rock stones which were taken out from time to time and thrown as missiles to smash glass panes, some carrying barge poles and iron rods, hammering away to break open doors of homes and shops, smashing up everything they set eyes on, setting fire and running away and watching from a distance as everything gets engulfed in flames, being completely ignorant that everything was getting recorded and ‘big brother’ was watching all their hate crime. Based on those recordings, the police did manage to arrest some suspects but they were released next day thru political intervention, and the policeman who arrested them got transferred for doing their duties with due diligence. All those who were killed (7 in all) were Muslims including one Tamil Security guard who was taken amiss to be a Muslim. It was all Muslim homes and Muslim business houses that were gutted, looted and raised to the ground, whilst superficial damages of glassware in a Temple which voice recording clearly indicated ‘friendly fire’ to falesify and mislead the evidence in order to blame Muslim incursions and share the blame. The entire scenario was stage managed and carried out to military precision with a curfew imposed preventing Muslim worshippers returning home to their loved ones after evening prayers from the Mosque. They were trapped by the sudden imposition of a one-sided curfew and the Police and army stood by and did nothing to help the victims, whilst they permitted bus and lorry loads of the invading marauders to carry out their carnage. The military plan also envisaged the element of surprise as it was a sudden attack, and a pre-emptive strike as those victims were under-prepared and un-prepared to respond effectively. Even the 3 Muslimm boys attack on a monk was just theatrics as he too joined the stage when Gnanasara was bellowing in full measure with his infamous ‘Abasaranai’ hate speech arousing the anger and fury of the on-lookers to go and ‘kick-ass’. Any other way would have really seen the battle taken to the enemies as the Muslims too are die-hards and are quite capable of equally potent retaliatory strikes. But this was just one-sided and may be as Farook states, the Israeli Mosad intelligence may have had a hand in it with battle plans and tactics that they carry out to suppress and annihilate the Palestinians in their own homeland.

Reproduced article by this same writer on this same CT forum 16th June 2014. Worth reading to re-live that moment when it was all happening. This is to remind the world of how it was living as a Muslim in SL on that dark and fateful day. Now they (BBS) claim they played no part in this Muslim holocaust, as do some of their fervent followers who try to distort facts and misrepresent the truth by blaming Muslims for creating this inferno.
          ————————————

Killing of Muslims, Looting Their Belongings And The Destruction Of Their Properties

The unwanted and unnecessary attack was mayhem of an unprecedented scale in and around Aluthgama which later spread to Dharga town and Beruwala following the highly inflammatory speech by Sinhala racist outfit Bodu Bala Sena’s General Secretary Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero, the Buddhist Zionist who is hell bent on shedding Muslim blood.

These unfortunate killings, injury, indiscriminate burning of residential and commercial properties, looting of personal belongings and arson on the Muslim population were not something unexpected when Gnanasara Thero, was allowed to address a gathering of his extremist supporters.

Allowing him to address such a gathering in this communally tense environment was catastrophic.

Muslims in the area spent sleepless nights ever since they came to know that Gnanasara Thero, who does not represent mainstream Sinhalese Buddhists, was to address a public meeting as they were aware of his ability to incite innocent Sinhalese.

As expected he addressed the gathering, incited the Sinhalese, went on a provocative procession in the Muslim area and triggered the attack on Muslims leading to death and destruction for no rhyme or reason.

These senseless slaughter of innocent Muslims were part of BBS’ ongoing anti Muslim campaign to destroy their economic base, deprive them of their livelihood and make them paupers.

This has nothing to do with the Sinhalese community as a whole, but the work of few hundred BBS racists who are hell bent on causing havoc in the country, destroying communal harmony with the overt and covert state patronage.

As everyone knows there has been tension in Aluthgama ever since 27 April 2014 when Ahmad Khan’s shop, built brick by brick since his early days of pavement business, was burnt and his life time earnings reduced to ashes in the early hours, around 3.30, on 29 April 2014 allegedly by his business rivals.

How would have been his feelings to see his building and business going up in flames?

In its wake on June 12 there was a minor incident involving the driver of a Buddhist monk and a Muslim. The monk is said to have interfered and the matter ended there. However, later the monk, perhaps under pressure from some people, lodged a complaint with the police accusing the Muslim man. Police had failed to record the statement of any Muslim in the area.

Aluthgama attack – In another incident a stone was believed to have been thrown at the house of a well known lady doctor in Aluthgama.A group of people pressurized her to complain to the police as this is work of Muslims. Lady doctor refused. In an earlier incident a Sinhala lady had slapped a Buddhist monk at a police station .But the BBS did nothing about it.

Thus telling blatant lies about Muslims is part of the BBS agenda.

In keeping with this low down methods there was a protest over this incident to provoke the Sinhalese. They created a volatile atmosphere. They even attacked the vehicle of Minister Kumara Welgama who rushed to the scene to diffuse the situation.

The police had to use tear gas to bring the situation under control.

It is under such tense and volatile atmosphere that the BBS extremists were allowed to hold a rally addressed by Gnanasara Thero. As rightly asked by journalist Darishta Bastian “What kind of Government that permits Buddhist hardliners to rally in a town where ethnic tension raged only two days ago?”

After the inciting speech, BBS went on a procession in a vehicle convoy to Dharga Town apparently to provoke the Muslims.

With the situation deteriorating a police curfew was imposed around 6.45 PM on Sunday 15 June 2014 in and around Aluthgama. The curfew trapped Muslims wherever they were .They could not move out. However it was during the curfew hours that the BBS thugs who entered the area from inner roads and appeared to have had a free hand , attacked and set ablaze residential and commercial buildings.

When the Muslim men tried to get out and save these properties they were prevented from doing so as curfew was enforced. However Sinhala mob was seen around the streets and they were also seen going around in vehicles.

Around 9 PM six houses, four belonging to one family and one of them owned by a retired principal, were set on fire at Adikarrigoda.

In panic they repeatedly contacted the emergency 119. No response.

          They contacted the police-No response-

They contacted the fire brigade .No response.

          Now whom to complain? None

“There is no law or protection for the Muslims in this country” said weeping owner of one of these buildings.

There was fear and panic all over.

It was during curfew hours attacking Muslim owned houses and business establishments continued throughout the night, and by morning, people informed that around 20 houses and business establishments were burnt and destroyed. They also included Buddhist monks burnt and destroyed a Muslim owned shopping complex also.

In Aluthgama all Muslim business establishments in Muslim owned buildings were gutted down while Muslim owned businesses in Sinhalese owned buildings remained intact. A shopping complex belonging to a Muslim businessman in Dharga Town Aluthgama was torched early morning by a mob of around 200 people which includes Buddhist monks.

According to reports the injured stood at 80. Later the police sources have claimed that three people were killed and the 55 Muslims injured were admitted to various hospitals.

Injured in Walapitiya could not get to hospital. They began calling people in Colombo begging for help, especially medicine, and transport. Around six in the morning there were desperate calls asking for medicine to treat the injured in the mob and the STF shootings. Medicines and ambulances were ready but were not allowed to enter due to curfew which continued.

Muslims complained that the STF is strictly keeping them indoors and prevents them from coming even to their gates while the mobs were allowed to freely move and even drive vehicles. They also complained that the mob attacked Muslims when the STF leave an area. The STF was often seen returning after the destruction was done.

However Muslims in the area were depressed that their livelihood was destroyed for no reason.”They attacked our shops and hit our stomachs. They finished the Muslims of Aluthgama last night” said a trader.

In one voice they also said those who attacked them were not from the area but people brought outside. It is worthy to note that attacks on other places too were done by outsiders and not by the people from the area.

This pauses a question whether the BBS is having a trained force to implement its evil agenda against Muslims. There were even speculations that Israel’s Mossad trained Sinhala extremists thugs are here to do this dirty job.

Even early in the morning on Monday 16 April a resident in Mahagoda, Beruwala, complained that mobs continue to attack and vandalize shops. They decided to remain indoors with their families with the lights off.

Families who came under attacks found shelter in mosques and with relatives .In the melee a lady died at Naleemia Institute died. She tried to escape with her husband and three children. In the process her husband was cut .On seeing that she collapsed and died leaving her husband and three children in lurch.

Exploiting the chaos the mob looted all belongings including jewellery and emptied Muslim owned houses vacated by people who fled to for safety.

In short the area is burning since last night and the frightened people continue to live in mosques and other such places. Generous Muslims in Colombo continue to rush emergency aids for the victims.

This carnage did not occur at the spur of the moment. It was very meticulously planned and executed to military precision.

Condemning the attack the United States Embassy in Colombo said in a statement that; “We urge the government to ensure that order is preserved and the lives of all citizens, places of worship, and property are protected. We urge the authorities to investigate these attacks and bring those responsible to justice. We also urge all sides to refrain from violence, exercise restraint, and respect the rule of law.”

The riots started because Sinhala people live in that area. Sinhala people came into being because a lion decided to have fun with a native woman.

If the lion had kept his dong in his satchel there would have been no half beast Sinhalese living in Aluthgama to cause the riots. Clear to you Sherlock?

RE: First Anniversary Of Senseless Carnage On Aluthgama Muslims

It is very sad chapter in Sri Lanka, like 1958, 1977, 1983, 2009 and 2014.

This is water under the Bridge.

What can we do to prevent such recurrences.

The First step was taken. Mahinda Rajapaksa was defeated.

The second step Must be taken. All chromosomal criminals, Alutgamna, white vans, rapists, murders and robbers must be punished.

Please help Mr. Maitripala Sirisena take step 2.

Still Maithiri Government is trying their best to bring communities together but the success depends only if the criminals, racists, and law breakers brought under justice and the victims are satisfied with the justice. Still those criminals have not brought under justice and the doors are not completely closed for them.

“…as the most peaceful of all the three major communities in the country the Muslims, as stated by former Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva…” By what yardstick??? I am told you are a journalist. As
a responsible journalist you should have avoided being selective – notably in these sensitive and explosive times. I have seen comments here earlier that you unnecessarily create problems to the Muslim community by sensationalising trivia. Some of these comments have come from educated Muslims themselves.

I do not think Tamils of the Eastern Province – denied their land and possessions and now pushed against their wishes into the 2nd large community there – are likely to share your views.

We live in difficult times. Comments such as “provincial councillor Udaya Gammanpila openly stating that an attack on Muslims is inevitable in 2015 to mark the anniversary of 1915 Sinhala Muslim riots” should best be avoided, even if they were irresponsibly made.
Recalling these incendiary views will go out to provide fodder to the lawless and unruly in the majority who may not hesitate to take the law into their hands on those occasions when the state security apparatus becomes weak and under pressure.

I hope the more responsible Muslims in the readership express their
disapproval to some of these Muslim writers in these pages who seem more concerned seeing their names in preference to the good and the safety of the millions of Muslims around the island – many of them believed to be peaceful and non-political.

1 In 4 Americans Thinks The Sun Goes Around The Earth, Survey Says

                http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2014/02/14/277058739/1-in-4-americans-think-the-sun-goes-around-the-earth-survey-says

A quarter of Americans surveyed could not correctly answer that the Earth revolves around the sun and not the other way around, according to a report out Friday from the National Science Foundation.

The survey of 2,200 people in the United States was conducted by the NSF in 2012 and released on Friday at an annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Chicago.

To the question “Does the Earth go around the Sun, or does the Sun go around the Earth,” 26 percent of those surveyed answered incorrectly.

In the same survey, just 39 percent answered correctly (true) that “The universe began with a huge explosion” and only 48 percent said “Human beings, as we know them today, developed from earlier species of animals.”

Just over half understood that antibiotics are not effective against viruses.

As alarming as some of those deficits in science knowledge might appear, Americans fared better on several of the questions than similar, but older surveys of their Chinese and European counterparts.

Only 66 percent of people in a 2005 European Union poll answered the basic astronomy question correctly. However, both China and the EU fared significantly better (66 percent and 70 percent, respectively) on the question about human evolution.

In a survey compiled by the National Opinion Research Center from various sources, Americans seemed to generally support science research and expressed the greatest interest in new medical discoveries and local school issues related to science. They were least interested in space exploration, agricultural developments and international and foreign policy issues related to science.

Another sordid event in our national life. Thug Gnanasara’s hate speech yet rings in my ears. I wonder why the new government has not chosen to prosecute him. There is enough evidence to do so without recourse to high powered investigations.

We should remember to learn lessons and act to prevent repetition.

it is very apparent that this whole incident was some time coming for the muslim community. Ven Gnanasara and his band of hooligans carefully orchestrated this over a period of time . Why can’t some muslim group or and human rights defenders organisation take these guys to courts and ask for damages. there is ample video evidence against them in the public domain.

i will go on record that i have many Sinhala friends who believe that the whole bunch should be thrown in jail and keys town into the deepest part of ocean.

Mr. Latheef Farook is on aan ant9 Mahinda campaign visit in the UK. He is up in arms against BBS. That is understandable but his allegation against Mahinda is baseless. A reader can decipher that this guy has an agenda . By harping on the BBS attack on the Muslims he belittle the LTTE crimes against the Muslims. On whose invitation he is is campaigning against the BBS and Mahinda. Mahinda himself admitted his fault and his inaction against the BBS but learnt a good lesson from his mistakes. The Muslims are much vibrant in action against Mahinda fearing that he may reemerge.

People like Latheef who have their own agenda do not now write about destruction of Minneria mosque , thereat to Balangoda Shrine, etc. He is known to be an anti African but tries to ignore Isreal and the USA’s infiltration into Sri Lanka.

In one of the many bulletins of the UTHR,by Rajan Hoole mention is made of the 1983 Anti-Tamil riots in Colombo. The supporters of M.H.Muhammed who was in the cabinet then were active members in the carnage against Tamils. Most of them were Muslims. Most of the burnt out business establishments and even housing properties changed hands and the Muslims bought them over for a song. This was more or less exclusively in Colombo.

The sinhala rioter, the Muslim rioter and the Tamil rioter in the North-East have all been responsible for the Mayhem witnessed in this country over the past 30yrs or so.

Muslim politicians always jump ship from one winning camp to the next and do not have any principles. From MLM Ashraff to Hakeem this is the pattern. Hakeem became very rich under MR and so did Azath Salley and Baiuthdeen; and Baithudeen and his family are linked with many corrupt issues in Mannar and drug trade. He and his brother according to the military are responsible for a lot of racist islamic problems plus the drug smuggling problem from India.

The last few principled people were Alavi Moulana, Baiudeen Mohammed, MLM Aboosally, Kabir Hashim, MH Mohammed etc who didn’t jump ship for millions of cash payouts. MH Mohammed was elected repeatedly from Borella seat with lots of Sinhalese. Aboosally got lots of sinhalese votes to beat the Ratwatte-Bandaranaike family candidate in their own mother seat. You call us racists?

Now this fellow is using the word carnage to deliberately create communal feelings and make life difficult for Mr. Sirisena and RW to create a mature tolerant democracy.

There is no room in SL for your Jihadi radical Wahabi forced doctrine.
Get your facts straight about 1915. YOUR intolerant racist muslims THREW STONES at the ancient sacred Kandy perehera. Your Mosque there is of newer origins compared to the historic ancient perehera. YOUR intolerant muslims interfered with the traditional historic route of the parade and threw stones. When will you EVER accept your part in creating, fomenting tensions and always blame Sinhalese? Now last years Aluthgama incidents were wrong but why the hell are you hiding facts from us? did you know muslims threw Cow offal and a cow’s head inside the temple premises? did you know muslim radical jihadi youths assaulted a buddhist monk before all this tension? the violence was wrong but in retaliatory attacks muslims burnt over 35 houses in sinhala areas in Beruwela. Why not talk about that too?

Are you saying all your Saudi Jihadi Wahabi youth are all innocent and tolerant? really when you force your women to wear black from head to toe, and your uncouth vulgar youth even in Colombo cast dirty vulgar indecent verbal assaults on sinhala women wearing western clothes and you think that is all ok? My sisters all live in Sri Lanka . They say the Muslim youth are intolerably vulgar in their insults. Why? Because their radicalism has made them sexually frustrated. DO you know a lot of your backward women clad in black from head to toe are just copying their Saudi masters? Their husbands force them to do it. But when they are asked(a fact related by a medical doctor lady in the CMC) “why do you wear this when earlier you just wore the headscarf?” “it is the fashion in Saudi Arabia” is their answer. And this doctor lady said the women smell bad and are dirtier than any other group of women because they sweat like &&&& from head to toe in their black dresses.

Hey TinPotJihadi don’t over exaggerate and start imagining things. The king-pins of the drug cartels were the politicians themselves who were closely connected to MR and Gota, or else they would have been liquidated long time ago. Rishad Vathiudeen did not belong to that clan. He was a former refugee himself and rose up the ranks the hard way and never was involved in narco trafficking, or else Wele Suda would have mentioned him too when he spilled the beans. Don’t accuse people falsely to create a bad impression just because he is Muslim and you hate his guts for working hard for the resettlement of the neglected Muslim IDPs.

You tell us to get our facts straight on who cast the first stone in the 1915 riots. Who cares about 1915 when we have 2014 June 15th to be concerned about. We were not there in 1915, but we saw and lived through it 1914 and witnessed first hand the insane carnage that your Buddhist monks instigated to arouse hatred, disgust and contempt of innocent Muslims and their livelihood. Sinhalese mobsters, hooligans and monks disguised as laymen in plain clothes were let loose on Muslim hamlets in Aluthgama, Beruwela and Dharga Town. Now lets get the facts straight on that. Even that is being challenged by your BBS mentors as they played no part in the carnage and claim innocence. This is the type of people who you are. Muslims are a minority in this country and will never dare to clash with the majority as they know they will get crushed and their only hope is God as their Saviour. So will they ever dare to throw muck (as you have written ‘Cow offal and a cow’s head) into Temple premises and get away with it without getting arrested by the Police, leave aside mob justice? The fact is the other way around as has been recorded and evidenced, where your Sinhalese thugs and mobsters threw pig’s head and blood into Muslim Masjids while the Police did nothing to arrest the perpetrators as they were biased in carrying out their duties in protecting public property.

The Muslim women wearing Hijab and Sinhalese women that I know get along extremely well and are in perfect harmony in each others company and bear no such grudge, anger, animosity or hatred towards each other as they all are genuine and sincere in their efforts to mutually understand, respect and accept each others religious nuances, differences, duties and obligations, including customs and traditions, and they always try to be accommodative to each other to meet those objectives. May be you just arrived from different planet.

There are Muslim women living all over the world, in much hotter and even colder countries than our own. They are instantly recognizable by the garbs that they wear, as being Muslim. Once their identity is established they will greet each other with their traditional universal greetings ‘Assalaamu Alaikum’ May peace be with you) and will receive an equal and fair response with ‘Wa Alaikum Salaam’ (May that same Peace be with you too) which instantly binds them as though they come from one family. What a great feeling of unity and joy that brings, that can never be put to full effect in words. White skinned, black, yellow, brown they all are the same. They all come from one Ummath – followers of the religion of Islam, and accept Prophet Muhammed (pboh) as their leader (Imaam). At that moment in time, everything in their life becomes secondary, their country, their tribes, their age differences, whatever. Such is the power of the Abhaya, Hijab and Niqab which you have absolutely no idea about. Those women who wear it and also bear the stifling heat and humidity without complaining, will get their just rewards from their Creator for the sacrifice they make and willingness to bear it all in absolute obedience to His commands and will. Their husband, children and parents will also be beneficiaries of those merits on this earth itself, in so many ways we just cannot be specific nor lay claims to justify anything. It will be according to each of their wants, needs and desires that they want to get fulfilled which varies from person to person. This is a deep subject which you know nothing about and you denigrate and insult them with as much filth that you can blabber, which only proves your immaturity.

Indian news from Hindustan Hinduvta Modi land. May 25 Verbatim quote below.

Nazim Ali wondered what he had done wrong to invite the wrath of his fellow villagers. His magnificent two-story home in Atali village in North India’s Haryana state was reduced to ashes by Hindu men during communal violence that broke out on May 25 over the construction of a mosque in the village.

“We were having prayers at a house opposite the under-construction mosque when some 2,500 Hindu fundamentalists attacked Muslim families in the village. We could have faced them or saved our and our families’ lives. We chose the latter,” Ali said.

Tensions over the mosque construction have been simmering since 2009 when the Muslim community won a case in the Supreme Court to build a permanent place of worship on land given them by the Hindu community decades ago.

“The Hindu community had given the land to the Muslims verbally. Now the younger generation of Hindus wanted the land back so the Muslims had to go to the court to settle the dispute,” Vishnu Dayal, assistant commissioner of police on duty in the riot-hit area, told ucanews.com.

Though the court ruled in favor of the Muslim community as they had been using the area for worship for years, they faced objections from locals over building a permanent mosque. When they broke ground on May 22, it was under police protection.

The village has a population of about 10,000 people, including 1,200 Muslim families. The rest are Hindus from a higher caste.

According to the victims, the rioters arrived carrying axes, swords, gas cylinders and gasoline cans and first attacked the mosque, damaging its boundary wall.

They claimed that apart from their neighbors, the rioters included people from surrounding villages and also members of the Hindu fundamentalist group Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

“The attackers started pelting us with stones. It was raining stones. We were looking for shelter to hide, and in that chaos they started throwing cylinders inside the houses and exploding them,” said Sabir Ali, Nazim’s brother.

“The women of my house had to hide in the toilet and the children were locked in cupboards,” he said, adding that the extremists sprayed the gasoline and set his house on fire, intending to kill those trapped inside.

“We have been betrayed by our own fellow villagers. They allowed outsiders to come, otherwise nobody would have dared enter the village which was once called a model village with so much communal harmony,” he added.

Some 15 people were injured in the violence, including one who was badly burned and two others who sustained severe cuts.

As the Muslim families made their way to the Ballabgarh police station, some 18km from the village, looters moved in, leaving them with nothing except the clothes on their backs.

They returned to their empty and damaged homes on June 3 after spending nine days at the police station for their own protection.

“They even took my buffalo. The gold jewelry that I had made for my daughter’s wedding was also taken. The rioters took good enough time to look for valuables around the house and destroy the rest,” said Javed Khan, who is an auto rickshaw driver.

Khan said that they were given safety assurances by the district administration and elders in the Hindu community, which persuaded them to return to their homes.

“Since the administration and fellow villagers were assuring our safety, we had to come back. We don’t have a choice. Our homes and livelihoods are here. Where can we go?”

You cant point at any regime this way. Do you think it is right. Each and every regime until Babaric Rajapakshe was elected tried to achieve the goal without harming any civil populations. But radical thought bearers like Rajapakshe would never see it twice, whether even civilians would be killed out, but he did it.. and order the army to do the job.
Is it that dififuclt you guys to grasp it ? Even today, being defeated, he seems to be active behind the curtain. Those criminals that pull the leg for the ones that make every genuine efforts to bring favourable amendments.
Rajapakshes may have a gene to please people on the surface – but that will not stay for ever. Very same folks would have to get the it now or little later. They proved it not once a dozen of times. But men like Srinath would never see it until his family ones would have been whitevanned or abduted to the very same manner Rajapakshe did it with some poor civilians.
For them.. people are just wares. Some would interpret it ” Rajapakshe have no such genes”.

Mahinda has served two terms – protecting his what he deserveshe should be away from lanken politics. Not forgetting 0.9 Mio new vote eligible candidates thorugh SOCIAL media made a big voice. THat is we need a place whtiout Rajapakshe BEESAHANYA… Thi syou did not feel close to the skin, since you live a good life being away..
but my parents live in srilanka, i travel to the country almost every year. Last November I was there, I felt as if I was sent to Zimbabwe.. Whereever I went to.. i WAS forced to look at Rjapakashe placards.. which costed the Tax payers millions offunds. This man abused them as if they thought that was their own properties. Foll those higher abuses, he should be brought before the courts. That is it… in a court case, it should be investigated.. just to stay mum agianst that is not good thing any new regime is aasked to do

If You love the country, please see it right and help the right side rather than supporting idiots to ruin it further.
That is what you have to do man – not anything else, Then only future lankens would be proud of you. Be us tamils, sinhalese or others, we are all srilankens under one flag and one nation. See it in Malaysia or other exemplary countries in Europe, how they live together – take it from the UK- how many nubmers of migrants those countries take in.. Germany alone allow very many syrians coming in. They see it humanly. Sirlnaken state should be thankful for western states to allow srilankens to seek refuge in those countries. We are interdependent even if the countries are devleoped. That is not evitable. All i see things turn aas stalemate – since most of uneducated buggers in the country stand against – getting amendments passed in the parliament should be allowed, if they are people favourable. As you know UK or other Eu COUNTRIES continue passing people s friendly amendments. But to go for an inch long, srilankens take months. Why ?
Where have their civilized nature gone ? Are their literacy limited to the books ? Why the buggers led by Rajapakshes stand on the democractic process of the nation ?
Why the buggers led by Rajpakshe stay against any good move ?
Why the buggers led by Wimalburuwanse stand against any good move ?
Why the buggers led by Teni boy Gommanpila stand against any good move ?
Mother lanka will curse you guys if you promote nationalisms rather than pluralism – learn lessions from teh western decent societies and apply it back in home country can lead us all to peace.

          Country may need Mahinda.

But courts need Mahinda more than the country. or not..

Go and see you in the mirror to make you out.. then you will get it really. Mahinda has been the most dangerous germ for the country today.
He had been given chances to do it right, but the bugger only harmed not only muslims, tamils, sinhalese too.
The harm made to Sarath fonseka was above all ethics and morals.
The harm meade to Aluthgama Muslims was above all ethics and morals…
I can add more to the list if you wanne..

I suspect gota, outsourced the thugs (KKclan) to BBS. The problem here is no one has been prosecuted. See lanka Cnews run by wimal. It is creating anti- muslim feelings.

But being a sinhalese, The average sinhala man thinks, muslims are cunning, the businessman is jealous of his muslim counter part.

The only people who are native to Sri Lanka are the Veddha community, the Sinhala race started with Vijaya and his people getting banished from Bangladesh and landing in Sri Lanka, the Sinhalese should travel to Bangladesh to understand where their culture, names and religion is coming from, from this you can conclude every community in Sri Lanka are migrants from different part of the world at some point of time and getting married to the local women, the difference is only the time factor, Vijaya came to Sri Lanka approximately 2000 years ago and started the Sinhalese race, the Arabs came to Sri Lanka 1000 years ago and married the Sri Lankan women and settled down.

If you study the history properly you would realize that other than the Veddha community who are natives to Sri Lanka, rest are mixed communities whose ancestry lies outside of Sri Lanka, unless people realize this and learn to live harmoniously, this country will never prosper .

Anyone who wants to see and understand where the Sinhalese and their culture is coming from should travel to Bangladesh

All the scoundrels and thugs of the Aluthgama carnage are still scot free. Terror monk Gnanasara who should be put behind bars for life for instigate Myanmar style ethnic cleansing, Gotabaya who shattered all norms of human values, foul mouth Gammanpilla blamed the victims, Mahinda who was blind, deaf and potent during the atrocities took place, Police and armed forces raised the guns against victims and the media (under whose pay role- Israel?) were mum about to be blamed….

If the new Govnt. shows no signs of bringing the perpetrators to justice, soon Sri Lanka will championed the list of ”failed states” !!!!!!!!!

    Mr. Sirisena
    Mr. Rail wickremesinghe

You came to power on 8th January and so far you have not taken any action to punish the criminals who
Caused mayhem at Aluthgama and Beruwala.

If you need Muslim support in the future at the general election I urge you to appoint a commission
To investigate the atrocities committed on the helpless Muslims by the Sinhala Budhist monks and their hooligans in June 2014.

If you do not take any legal action you will have to forget any more Muslim votes in the future.

I trust you understand this fact clearly.p

Congratulations to brother Farook for standing up for the Muslim community. He is better than all the Muslim politicians put together. I will vote for him if he takes to politics. I will remove his teeth if he lets the Muslim community down.

” I will remove his teeth if he lets the Muslim community down. “

There are a lot of Wahhabis and their clones running around, who follow Iblis, Devil, Satan, Shaitan, Lucifer, and claiming that the Muslims are not following Iblis Wahhabi “Islam”. and attacking Muslims, Sufis and Shia.

Can you remove their tooth too? You will be very busy.

Isn’t it time we spoke as Sri Lankans , and not as members of ‘ communities ‘ ? Are your patients only from one ‘ community ‘ ?

You are a dental surgeon. On a different note, can I send Elu Kolla to you for treatment. He writes ‘garbage’ in these columns most of the time!

BBS is lamenting they could not mobilise the Sinhala Budhist to celebrate May 28 2015 by another pogrom on Muslims to mark the centenary of the massacre of the innocent Muslims in 1915 100 years ago.

Rev Gnanassara and the CEO vithanage had couple of Kassippu bottles to express their frustration at the temple.

When these events took place last year, I was bewildered at not the behavior of ignorant thugs being stirred up by self-serving politicians but by the attitude of my own friends, people I have grown up with, those I had gone to University with (they know who they are).

The “serves them right” stance was perhaps something that some said even in 1983; we need to understand that rioting and looting is human nature, it happens even in London and various American cities even today, what is hard to stomach is State tolerance (and even tacit approval) as last year and in 1983.

I feel the venom stems from one single root, jealousy, jealousy against Tamils in 1983 and jealousy against Muslims in 2014. Much like the Jews has witnessed since the old Testament, Success breeds contempt and later contempt evolves into hatred.

The Nation is a small way vindicated itself by throwing MR, Gota and the BBS out lock stock and barrel; what is sad is that with people like some that I know who still sit in Colombo Clubs and wax eloquent about this being a “Sinhala Land”, another venomous attack against a defenseless minority, ethnic or religious is not too far away.
