Response to – Fundamentalism Creeps Into Muslim International Schools– Part I
Fundamentalist Islam creeping in a leading Muslim School in Colombo shrieked a recent caption in one of the Colombo based news portals. School in question Ilma International Girls School located in Colombo. A leading and established private Muslim Girls’ School in the country. Motto of Ilma International Girls’ School reads thus in the school’s website “Qul, Rabbi Zidni Ilma” which is an excerpt from the Noble Quran .i.e. “Say! O My Lord, Advance me in knowledge” (Chapter 20: Verse 114)
Fear sells and peddling fear vis a vis Muslims and Islam is a lucrative industry. Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Sam Harris, Bill Maher. Daniel Pipes some names in the international platform that come to my mind presently raking-in big. Some have called it the Islamophobia Industry. The tide of Islamophobia that is sweeping through Europe and the United States noticeably lacks spontaneity raising suspicion of shadow designers working overtime. Coterie of well-educated, well paid right-wing cadre of intellectual hucksters, bloggers, politicians, pundits, religious leaders and over-zealous scribes are having a rocking time. In some countries Muslims postulating a deviant persuasion vis a vis worship (Sufi order grave worshippers, saint worshippers) have joined the bandwagon too. They inject their own venom to enhance credibility. The strategy seems to be working.
It’s indeed a major challenge today to portray the real truth of Islam over widespread media speculation and disinformation. Complicating matters are the actions of a negligible few who draw inspiration from Islamic sources all for the wrong reasons. The ISIS crisis is good example regardless who created and funded the organization. In this media saturated century with rampant ignorance of the subject things are going haywire and getting out of control. It seems everyone is in to settle a score with Islam and Muslims.
Muslims the world over are going through a period of testing which is commonly known as fitnah in Arabic (trials and tribulations). Life rushes ahead beckoning us into the unknown but in a strange sort of way it has all been done before. This is not the first time in history that Muslims have suffered from the consequences of lies and misrepresentations. However, when lies and misunderstandings are piled high the truth seekers of this world have a way of finding the gold buried beneath the dirt. Islam is like that gold, it can lie quietly, and it loses none of its beauty by doing so. As a matter of fact when extracted from the dirt the impact is even sweeter on the soul.
Twisted and debased theology of extremists cannot remove or dent firm faith inscribed in hearts of billions of Muslims. Nor will neo-cons with their well-motivated agents win by hurling demonic propaganda. The world knows Islam, its universality proven by its effectiveness. Islam ruled a good portion of the world for a very long time. Spain was with the Muslims for almost 800 years. Its political, economic and social structures very much intact. Its civilization a solid bridge for other civilizations to flourish. Islam imposes no difficulties on its adherents. Everything Islam enjoins is meant to preserve faith, life, intellect and posterity.
How can a few thousands derail the strong convictions of billions? William Montgomery Watt a Scottish historian, an Emeritus Professor in Arabic and Islamic studies at the University of Edinburgh said “Islam is not a private matter for individuals touching only the periphery of their lives, but something which is both private and public, something that permeates the whole fabric of society in a way of which men are conscious”
The “Wahhabi” threat, “Salafi” threat, “Creeping Shariah” “ United States of Islamica,” “Eurabia,” “Londonistan,” “Terror babies” “Islamofascism” are commonly seen captions today. It’s just beginning in Sri Lanka. Strange appellatives manufactured with alacrity in the posh linguistic factories of the west all year round and reaching global destinations faster than light. For a fairly long time they’ve indefatigably labored behind scenes to convince their compatriots that Muslims are the enemy, exhuming ghosts of 9/11 and dangling portraits of Usama bin Laden before the eyes of horrified populations to control and capitulate Muslims.
Readers, I have to deal with some of these issues and outrageous allegations with facts and references from the Quran and authentic Sunnah, do bear with me. As rightly stated in the motto of Ilma International Girls School the concept of knowledge occupies an important position in Islam. In Islam knowledge is all-encompassing the opposite of which is ignorance which is reprehensible. “Fundamental” to this knowledge is the knowledge of the Creator of the seven heavens and earths and all within it – Allah. In this science obsessed world secular knowledge commands greater respect than religious knowledge. Accordingly emphasis on Science, Mathematics and personalities associated them namely Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking command a high following.
Though Islam encourages the pursuit of worldly knowledge it has certain built-in priorities. Knowledge of Allah, Muhammad (may Allah exalt his mention) and Islam takes precedence. “O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous – [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him] (Chapter 2: Verse 21,22) This is the first command in the Quran promulgated to all mankind. I wish to draw the reader’s attention to the very first verse of this particular chapter. Who is Allah addressing in this particular verse? Is He addressing Muslims, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs? The verse says O mankind? A serious point to ponder, every soul living today that is a part of this huge family called mankind must reflect on this verse. And who else can say “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except for My worship” (Chapter 51: Verse 56) Allah also emphatically states in the last testament revealed to all mankind just before the hour “So know (O Muhammad) none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), and ask forgiveness for your sins” ( Verse 47: Chapter19).
The “fundamental” creed of Islam is “La Mabood bi Haqin illallah” – .i.e. there is none worthy of worship in truth except Allah. Acknowledging this testimony brings one to the fold of Islam rejecting it takes him out. It’s indeed gratifying to note that Muslims of Sri Lanka have a truly blessed Institution in Ilma international Girls School. An institution committed to clarifying the fundamental faith related issues. It also teaches all the various secular modules to thousands of students at any given time. My two elder daughters too studied in this school and are thriving. As a father I am more than pleased at both of their academic and Islamic achievements. I unreservedly encourage any parent to admit their child to this great institution.
The particular news on the news portal went on to elaborate a supposed “Salafist- Wahhabist” teachings had concerned parents remove children from the school. An inference that the school in question is teaching a kind of pure ultraconservative, fundamentalist Islamic ideology to its children. Moreover, it added that the teachings represent a marked deviation from traditional Sri Lankan and South East Asian Muslims.
What a load of unalloyed poppycock! Sounds like a far worse leather hunt than George Walker Bush’s well-articulated yet deception laced WMD’s in Iraq. This is nothing but a fatally misunderstood creed and methodology that has got hit from the very inception by way of outlandish appellatives and other methods from those bereft of sound Islamic knowledge. Joining the partnership have been the world’s right wing who are hell-bent on demonizing Islam and the Sufi Tareeqa’s. It’s an ongoing thing frequently picked up by the media to spice things up, you know what I mean – a recourse to sensationalism. I don’t blame the media but wish to impress upon the Muslims to get serious with their religion. They must go to the authentic sources and eschew all forms of ignorance.
The spillover is now reaching the public domain in Sri Lanka, albeit with rage and silly polemics emanating routinely. This is not just a local phenomenon. Ignorance has rendered a heightened contamination. Today we find Muslim professionals, namely, doctors, lawyers, diplomats, journalists, politicians, businessman all taking misinformed, unintelligent jabs at issues they know very little about. They speak with apparent revulsion about Wahhabism, when questioned about its historical importance and etymology, actual political underpinnings for the phenomenon or the pseudo religious interrelation they either throw a blank face or deliver a diatribe against the Saud family.
Prevalent prejudices, stereotypes, mindsets and antipathies has coalesced to the creation of a non-existent monster. A monster who had earned perpetual culpability. A monster that needs to be under constant surveillance as he or she could prove dangerous. All and sundry are incessantly cautioned against these individuals. The gun tooting, bomb making, women oppressing Wahhabi maniacs are here. They’re getting ready for a Clint Eastwood kind of operation.
A word of caution to non-muslims especially those in the political and editorial recliner, do not confuse orthodoxy with extremism. The difference is like chalk and cheese. The definition for “orthodoxy” in Islam is adhering to authentic sources and sticking to it tenaciously. The terms “Salafist-Wahhabist” due to it’s prolong assailment by both the west, orientalists and innovators running down for centuries have acquired a goni billa connotation. The strategy seemed to have worked, it’s quite ingenious in fact. The best way to keep Muslims and general folk far away from the truth of Islam is to expose them to an imaginative yet hideous behemoth beast with the name Wahhabi.
Does anyone recall the days when the world media associated Islam with the face of Usama bin Laden? This is after using the bloke to the tilt for all of the dirty work of Uncle Sam. Recently I watched a YouTube clip of a supposed terrorism expert. He was representing a major and reputed think-tank in the US. When he said that Usama bin Laden was a Wahhabi I flipped. If in fact Usama Bin Laden was a Wahhabi one third of America would have been Muslims by today including the Bush family. This is because Wahhabism is orthodoxy and exudes teachings that’s wholesome sustenance to the heart, soul and the intellect. Americans are an intelligent people presently ripped off intellectually by oligarchs and putrid demagogues. Sri Lankans have a great saying for this in Sinhala – “Gonata Andanawa”
The term Wahhabism is western construct. The Brits were the first to use it against Indian Muslims. Its implied idiom takes root in the 18th century reform and revivalist movement of the Mujaddith scholar Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab Ibn Suleiman in the backdrop of rampant Polytheism that had crept to the Arabian Peninsula in gross opposition to the fundamental tenets of Islam .i.e Tawheed – Absolute Monotheism. As you can see his name was Muhammad hence his actions should have been termed as Muhammadi then why was it called Wahhabi? They knew what would happen if the noble revivalist movement was termed Muhammadi. The nefarious political motives made clear here. Extending great support for this were the Sufi Muslims as seen today all over the world.
No scribe should plunge to the deep-end of this political maneuverings and seemingly internecine squabble sans full cognizance of the facts and issues at hand. The matter at hand is complex, complicated and all-consuming. It’s an exhaustive labyrinth. Clarifications will essentially demand extended sittings with people blessed with true knowledge not half-baked experts donning designer raiment’s and cheap Made in China “Donald Trump” necktie like our US expert cited above. This writer devoted the last twenty years to learn this religion. I beg of you not to unintelligently hurl a missile and get crucified. Muslims are gradually getting educated on this matter and are keeping abreast with true authentic knowledge Alhamdulillah.
Reading between the lines of the said article it was pretty evident to the discerning reader as to the motives and supposed collaborators of this Colombo Muslim school hullabaloo. I humbly request for sanity and enlightened minds to deliberate. This is a great Muslim institution and please don’t destroy it.
I have planned a part 2 for this article. I will Insha Allah deal with each of the allegations as enumerated below and extracted from the article. Accordingly I will deal with the following
Fundamentalist Islamic ideology
Deviating from traditional Sri Lankan and South East Asian Muslims.
Salafist-Wahhabist teachings
Extremist movements and the sociologists who confer confirmation.
Black face veil as a symbol of radicalism
Sri Lankan Muslims joining ISIS
Lankan Muslims wearing saree and salwar Kameez
Celebration of the Prophet’s (may Allah exalt his mention) birthday
Resisting perceived western domination
Muslims celebrating feasts (Kanduri)
Radical and moderate Muslims.
The interesting video and the person in it.

Fundamentalism In Muslim Girls School: A Response
Do you want the Girls to Think or Become Sheep, following the Ulama?
1. ” In some countries Muslims postulating a deviant persuasion vis a vis worship (Sufi order grave worshippers, saint worshippers) have joined the bandwagon too. They inject their own venom to enhance credibility. The strategy seems to be working.”
Why don’t you read aboy what Hamid Al-Ghazali Wrote, instead of being misled by Ibn Taymiah, and his copycat Abdul Wahhab, who was also misled by Satan, Iblis. The Holy Quran warms about the Devil Sahitan, 88 Times, and about Iblis 11 times. Why? Wahhabism and ISIS.
Reasd the Hadith of Najd. The Satam Iblis has been very cumming.
2. “It’s indeed a major challenge today to portray the real truth of Islam over widespread media speculation and disinformation. Complicating matters are the actions of a negligible few who draw inspiration from Islamic sources all for the wrong reasons. The ISIS crisis is good example regardless who created and funded the organization.”
“This is not the first time in history that Muslims have suffered from the consequences of lies and misrepresentations”
The real truth is that the Wahhabi’s and their clones, are deviating from the Quran, and innovating. The truth is that the Wahhabies and their followers are becoming stupider, as shown by the lower GMAT scores of Wahhabi Graduates compared to the rest of the World.
Can you please answer the following questions succinctly?
Amarasiri has a few more simple questions, you may be able to answer, God Willing, In Sha Allah. Islam requires you to answer the question, when requested in the name of Allah, SWT. So, Amarasiri is asking you to answer Amarasiri’s questions blow, closer to the point.
Q1. Amarasiri’s question was: “What did Shaik Muhammad Abdul Wahab teach the Meccan and Medina Quran’s did NOT teach? Call other Muslims Non-Muslims and Kill them, based on instructions from Iblis, Satan. Examples are killing of Shia Muslims, Sufi Muslims, Ahmedia Muslims, Christian, Jews and other people.”
What is your specific answer? Amarasiri could not find an answer in the Quran or Hadith. May Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala- Glorified and Exalted is He) guide you to answer Amarasiri’s questions so that all Humankind can know them.
Q2. How did Muslims manage to practice Islam for 1,200 years before Abdul Wahhab preached?
Q3. Why did Abdul Wahhab stone a women to death, when in the Holy Quran, Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala- Glorified and Exalted is He), specifically said, 100 lashes?
Is it because the Iblis, Satan wanted it that way, to go against Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala- Glorified and Exalted is He) instructions, as he did oin Heaven, with Adam?
Q4. Wahhabi sack of Karbala Why? They killed 5,000 Muslims? Is it because Wahhabis are Iblis, Satan followers like ISIS?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wahhabi_sack_of_Karbala
Q5. Reason vs. Revelation.
Are you still required to follow revelation, when it is clearly shown that it is not correct? Have heard about Josiah stopping the Sun for 24 hrs, in the Bible? Heard about Copernicus, Galileo and Kepler?
Everybody else has common sense, critical thinking shills and intelligence except those Iblis, Satan Following Wahhabies and their Clones.

Abu. I am with you on that all the way. The paraphrasing and topics get repeated over and over again, it literally makes boring reading. So much that I don’t even read it any more, why, because I already know what he is vomiting. Mattu Rajesh has stopped thinking. Is he turning into a Wahhabi, based on his funders? Rajesh take the GMAT exam and figure out where you stand relative to Saudi Wahhabies.
Rajesh must still be thinking that the Sun is going around the Earth just like 25% of the Americans, 34% of the Europeans and about 50% of the others.
Stick to the issue. Can you answer any of the 5 Amarasiri Questions being asked?

Abu, Rushdy and Rajesh,
Amarasiri sees three idiots. They are everywhere. How can one retrain them. Make them take the GMAT exam and ask them to score close to the line or better?
What do you keep believing that Stupidity is a Virtue? Because you are Wahhabies? Is that one of your pillars?

Abu, Rushdy and Rajesh,
Regression Plot: The regression plot for GMAT scores and L&V’s (2012) Estimated National IQs is shown below
https://humanvarietiesdotorg.files.wordpress.com/2014/02/gmatregressionplot.png
Regression Equation
GMAT Score = 125 + 4.15*(Lynn_Vanahen_estimated_IQ2012)
For Saudi Arabia, Estimated = 125 +4.15*81 = 125+336 = 461.
Actual Tested GMAT = 311.
Deficit/shortfall = 311-461 = -150 = -150/461 = -32.5%
For Sri Lanka, Estimated = 125 +4.15*74 = 125+336 = 432.
Actual Tested GMAT = 485.
Deficit/shortfall = 485-432 = +53 = +53/432 = +12.3%
For Iran, Estimated = 125 +4.15*87 = 125+361 = 486.
Actual Tested GMAT = 520
Deficit/shortfall = 520-486 = +34 = +34/486 = +7.0%
For Turkey, Estimated = 125 +4.15*90 = 125+373 = 523.
Actual Tested GMAT = 540
Deficit/shortfall = 540-523 = +17 = +17/523 = +3.30%
For India, Estimated = 125 +4.15*83 = 125+3443 = 469
Actual Tested GMAT = 570
Deficit/shortfall = 570-469 = +101 = +101/469 = +21.5%
So we have a negative percentage deficit of 32.5% for Saudi Arabia, and a positive Surplus of 21.5% for India, from the Regression Line.
What does it Tell you? Just use common sense and simple critical thinking.

EXCLUSIVE: First Western journalist to visit ISIS says US wants to ‘divide’ Syria Published time: 2 Mar, 2016 20:32
https://www.rt.com/news/334343-todenhofer-us-divides-syria/
Jurgen Todenhofer, who in 2014 became the first Western reporter to be allowed first-hand access to Islamic State, told RT that the new ceasefire is working, but expressed concern that US politicians are set on splitting Syria up into a fractured warzone.
“The US divided Iraq, they divided Libya, and now they could divide Syria into four or five parts. Divided countries are weak countries, and I have an impression that certain American politicians like weak countries in the Middle East.”
Having witnesses IS operations during a 10-day assignment in Raqqa, the group’s unofficial capital in northern Syria, Todenhofer believes that it is sufficiently well-organized to exist indefinitely if it is not placed under pressure. He also says new attacks in Europe, like those carried out in Paris last year, are imminent, but little can be done to prevent them.
“For ISIS it is much easier to use the forces they have in EU countries, US or Russia. They have many fans in those countries. They don’t need to take risks to cross borders – they can do it, but they don’t need to. They coordinate themselves – it’s not difficult to make a suicide attack. It’s cheap and it’s easy”
The journalist says that Europe has still failed to win the battle of ideas against Islamic State, particularly among its own disenfranchised youth.
“We have to show that this ideology is wrong, that this ideology is anti-Islamic. We have to show people that this is the wrong way, this does not solve a single problem. ISIS sympathizers should be shown that even from an Islamic standpoint, they are not serving Islam, they are fighting Islam. They are a danger for Islam, and most people they kill – in the Middle East, at least – are fellow Muslims.”

Seeking knowledge requires questioning Islam? Which dictates unquestionable devotion and loyalty.

See the reply an intelligent Jew got when he asked intelligent questions from the Prophet (may Allah exalt his mention)
When ‘Abdullah bin Salam heard the arrival of the Prophet at Medina, he came to him and said, “I am going to ask you about three things which nobody knows except a prophet: What is the first portent of the Hour? What will be the first meal taken by the people of Paradise? Why does a child resemble its father, and why does it resemble its maternal uncle” Allah’s Apostle said, “Gabriel has just now told me of their answers.” ‘Abdullah said, “He (i.e. Gabriel), from amongst all the angels, is the enemy of the Jews.” Allah’s Apostle said, “The first portent of the Hour will be a fire that will bring together the people from the east to the west; the first meal of the people of Paradise will be Extra-lobe (caudate lobe) of fish-liver. As for the resemblance of the child to its parents: If a man has sexual intercourse with his wife and gets discharge first, the child will resemble the father, and if the woman gets discharge first, the child will resemble her.” On that ‘Abdullah bin Salam said, “I testify that you are the Apostle of Allah.” ‘Abdullah bin Salam further said, “O Allah’s Apostle! The Jews are liars, and if they should come to know about my conversion to Islam before you ask them (about me), they would tell a lie about me.” The Jews came to Allah’s Apostle and ‘Abdullah went inside the house. Allah’s Apostle asked (the Jews), “What kind of man is ‘Abdullah bin Salam amongst you?” They replied, “He is the most learned person amongst us, and the best amongst us, and the son of the best amongst us.” Allah’s Apostle said, “What do you think if he embraces Islam (will you do as he does)?” The Jews said, “May Allah save him from it.” Then ‘Abdullah bin Salam came out in front of them saying, “I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah.” Thereupon they said, “He is the evilest among us, and the son of the evilest amongst us,” and continued talking badly of him.

Nishthar Idroos,
Thanks a lot for posting this story. Which is what it is. A fairy tale. Nothing more. Nice to read.
But, tell me with all due respect, do you actually believe in these things? As a grown up man with a faculty for critical thinking?
Why oh why?
Is it then any wonder the world has been a one single bloodbath for +/- 2000 years? Based on these stories.
If there is a paradise you will find out pretty soon? Why bother so much now? Why fear death if you lead a decent life with respect for all living beings?
Cheers!
PS:
Please let us know what do you teach the kids in your school as the punishment for Apostasy aka denial of Islam? Do not duck the question. Thanks!

BTW, you ducked my question as expected. What do you teach kids about Apostasy in your religious schools? What is the punishment for Apostasy?

Nishthar Idroos / February 26, 2016
Ben
Why don’t you stand before the mirror and ask this simple question How come? You surely will see a lot of science in you if only you would think seriously just ask how come? How much of His blessings will you deny?
In the creation of heavens and the earth, and the alternation of Night and Day – there are indeed signs for men of understanding. Here the Quran states men of understanding and you are not even close to being called one.
No scientific findings thus far show that the so-called “evolutionary mechanism” proposed by Darwin have any evolutionary power at all. Allah The Most High Al Khalique the creator of everything, He is Al Baari – The Inventor of everything, My Rabb is Al Musawwir – The One who creates all forms and shapes – All praise is for Him alone.
/
TheHorsesFoot / February 26, 2016
@Ben Hurling,
The Quran states no punishment for apostasy. Rather it is made explicit that there is no compulsion in religion. Quran 2:256.
The Quran is consistent with moden theories that the human form was a result of evolution through the ages. Some relevant verses are Quran 71:15, 21:30 and 55:14 (where man is described to have been shaped gradually – like pottery).

Nishthar Idroos / February 25, 2016
True, world war 1 and 2 killed close to 100 million people and this was not motivated by Islam or Muslims.
What is life? How and from where did life come into being? How did it manifest itself in a living being? Also, what is death? How did life exist in a living entity and how did this entity become after life had stopped? Many scholars and philosophers have tried helplessly to answer these questions. The result was that their attempts were helpless, useless, shortsighted, and illusions.
Allah created life and death for a purpose, and that purpose is for a test. To know which of us commits good deeds or bad. Allah says in Surat Al-Mulk, (Verse 2), what can be translated as, “He is the One Who created life and death to test which of you is best in deeds.”

There are more than hundred religions in the world.
What makes you think you alone have the ultimate truth? Do you have any scientific proof to substantiate any of your grand statements? Which you trumpet as facts.
Cheers!
PS:
Again. For the 3rd time. What do you teach kids in your so called Islamic schools about apostasy? What is the punishment for abandoning Islam?
Please let us know how you drive fear into their little minds to sustain your fairy tale through the next generation.

Ben Hurtling
I will not duck from any of your questions. If I know the answer I will share it, Insha Allah.
The question about apostasy is a good one and an answer cannot be given in two or three sentences. This is a misunderstood area and ignorance has made many people say many things about it. It is a very complex and sensitive issue.
The issue has a conspicuous parallel in Christendom as well. The infamous Inquisition, witch-hunting and witch-burning rituals perpetuated by their forbearers when Christian rule prevailed in post-Muslim Spain is a good example. According to Islam, every child is born with the innate ability to know and believe in his Creator; this cognition has been placed by Allah into his nature which we call fitra. The Qur’an describes the human soul in a very beautiful way. After swearing by the most majestic signs of Allah’s creation Allah The Most High says: (91:7) and by the soul and by Him Who perfectly proportioned it – Allah proportioned it: Gave man such a body which by virtue of its erect stature, its hands and feet, and its brain was most appropriate for him to live as man in the world. He blessed him with the senses of sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell which on account of their combination and their characteristics could become the best means of obtaining knowledge for him. He endowed him with the faculties of thinking, reasoning, imagination, memory, discrimination, judgment, will-power and such other mental powers by virtue of which he is able to perform the functions fit for man in the world. In addition, proportioning also means that man was not created a sinner by birth and a criminal by instinct but on right and sound nature, and was not characterized with any inborn crookedness because of which he may be unable to adopt the right path even if he wanted to do so.
This same thing has been expressed in Surah Ar-Room, saying: Be steadfast on the nature whereupon Allah has created mankind, verse 30), and the same has been explained by the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a Hadith, saying: Every new-born child is born on true human nature; it is his parents who make him a Jew or a Christian or a Magian afterwards. Its example is of an animal giving birth to complete and sound young one. Do you find any one with a torn or slit ear? (Bukhari, Muslim). That is, it is the polytheistic people who on account of their superstitions of ignorance tear and slit the ears of animals afterwards; otherwise Allah does not cause an animal to be born with torn ears from its mother’s belly. In another Hadith the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: My Lord says: I had created all My servants on true faith (i.e. on sound nature); then the satans (devils) came and led them astray from their faith (i.e.. the true natural faith) and made unlawful what I had made lawful for them, and commanded them to associate with Me those for whom I had sent down no authority. (Musnad Ahmad; Muslim also has related a saying from the Prophet (peace be upon him) in similar words).
Allah has made our souls such that we are able to distinguish between what is good and what is evil. But for human soul to function on its fitra, there is a condition–it must be kept pure and free of corruption, it must be immunized against spiritual corruption. The soul is like a bulb which can give light
provided it itself is not surrounded with a thick cover or dust; every human being has that light in his soul; however, those who keep it pure can enlighten their path with it while those who allow the `spiritual dirt’ to gather upon it cannot see the path towards Allãh. (Incidentally, kufr (infidelity) literally means a cover, and so it implies that kufr prevents the inner light from showing the right path.) The Prophet of Islam emphasized the same point when he
said, “Every child is born with the believing nature (al-fitra), it is his parents who make him into a Jew or a Christian.”
Besides this fitra, Allãh has also provided us with various means to know Him and believe in Him; He sent prophets and messengers, He revealed the scriptures, and above all He created thousands of signs in the nature which remind us of Him. And verily, We have
sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): “Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc. i.e., do not worship Taghut besides Allah).” Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). (Qur’ân 16:36)
Jihad with its proper rulings and conditions under the guidance of those blessed with real knowledge not pseudo half-baked scholars can be initiated to remove tyranny and oppression in order to eliminate the factors that prevent the divine message from reaching the masses. Jihad cannot be used for imposing Islam on others. This is the Islam of ISIS. The Qur’an clearly says that, “There is no compulsion in the religion.” (2:256) what this verse actually means is that: “There is no compulsion in (accepting) the religion (of Islam).” Why? The verse continues, “Surely the Right Path is clearly distinct from the crooked path” So Muslims can always show the difference between the right and the
wrong paths, but not force the non-Muslims to accept Islam. Even during the conquest of Mecca, the idol-worshippers were given a grace time of four months to study Islam, and thereafter either become Muslims by their own choice or leave the sacred city.
All of the above rulings apply to the one outside of Islam in a true Islamic state with an elected ruler. If a person is raised in a society which protects his soul from the impurities of atheism (kufr) and polytheism (shirk), or if a person is shown the Right Path and accepts it willingly — can such a person reject the Islamic faith? Is he allowed to apostate (become murtad) and renounce Islam? Can he declare that he does not believe in Allah? Once a person enters into the fold of Islam, the rules change. As soon as you become a Muslim by your own choice, you are expected to submit yourself to Allãh totally and completely. “O You who believe! Enter into Islam with complete submission, kãffa!” (2:208) Kãffa gives the sense of “all” and completely”. Once a person becomes a believer, he surrenders the
right of making decisions to Allah and the Messenger: “No believing man
and no believing woman has a choice in their own affairs when Allah and His Messenger have decided on an issue.” (33:36)
On the issue of openly rejecting Islam it cannot just stand aside and see one of its followers going astray. It would allow discussions to understand and solve the problems, but not allow its followers to lower themselves from the sublime status of “surrendering to the will of Allah–Islam” to the status of those “who have hearts but do not understand, ears but do not hear, and eyes but do not see.” Apostasy is equal to treason. If this form of thing is allowed to persist in society corruption becomes inevitable.
The Western world limits treason to political and military terms. In the USA, treason consists “only in levying war against Americans, and in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.” However, sometimes even the Western world stretches the concept of political treason to include things which are non-politics or non-military
matters. A Utah Congressman Chris Stewart called Edward Snowden the infamous NSA employee a traitor. If this is the case what about the Deen of Allah – chosen by Him for All mankind is flouted with disdain by the one who says I am no longer a Muslim. In a truly Islamic state .i.e. Saudi Arabia there are severe consequences for this act not a country besieged and controlled by ISIS. Don’t misinterpret me. Islam is not a disorganized religion like the impression given by ISIS by way of their extra-judicial killings etc. In this case it will be the ruler who will take the final decision after consulting his panel of learned scholars.
In Islam, the concept of treason is not limited to political and military aspects; it also has spiritual and cultural dimension to it. In the Islamic order of sacredness, Allah, then the Prophet, and Islam occupy the highest positions and Allah knows best.

Lo! those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, Allah guideth them not and theirs will be a painful doom. (The Noble Quran 16:104) Only they invent falsehood who believe not Allah’s revelations, and (only) they are the liars. (The Noble Quran 16:105) Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief – save him who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with the Faith – but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: On them is wrath from Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom. (The Noble Quran 16:106) That is because they have chosen the life of the world rather than the Hereafter, and because Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk. (The Noble Quran 16:107) Such are they whose hearts and ears and eyes Allah hath sealed. And such are the heedless. (The Noble Quran 16:108) Assuredly in the Hereafter they are the losers. Utter nonsense! With no grounding in reality or fact. Non! What so ever! Fiction!
But, as a free man you are welcome to believe in it. If it makes sense to you. Give you that. Praise the freedom. That you strive so hard to dismantle with Islamic fascism.
Cheers!

Man, is condemned to be free if he believes in the freedoms enunciated by the oligarchs of this world.

Nishthar Idroos,
Thanks a lot for your lengthy response. For sure you know your Islam.
That is fine with me. I will fight with my life for your right to be a man of faith. If you so wish, in freedom. Out of free will. After careful analytical consideration. If Islam helps you get through the night, I am for it, on your behalf. I look at you as my brother. Though I am just an “Infidel” in your “intolerant religious” eyes.
However, through your response you also confirmed what everyone fears about Islam. The deep rooted intolerance. Which is often manifested in ruthless violence related to Islam. Examples are far too many.
Based on your response, the price for abandoning Islam is pretty gruesome. Thanks a lot for confirming that fact. Sorry. This is what we call fascism.
This is exactly why GOSL should have stringent controls on religious schools in Sri Lanka. Before things get out of hand. I repeat we must nip it in the bud.
We can tolerate fundamentalist Islam in the name of decency and religious freedom. That is all fine. However, fundamentalist Islam does not tolerate anybody and anything. Except itself. If they manage to agree on what “pure Islam” is.
Just look at the Intra-Islam bloody mayhem around the world. Does not looking pretty, does it?
Cheers!

Nishthar Idroos,
Poppy cock? You must be refering to that death cult like faith you consider the purest of all BS on the planet.
You confirmed it is not possible to leave Islam once you are in it. Isn’t it a cocktail of both Mafia and death cult like mentality? Disguised in a lot of talk about peace all the time. Just Wow!
Is it any surprise then Islam has spread like wild fire. Through out the world.
You are correct about Whiskey. Just love my dram on Fridays nights. Eases my mind.
You are wrong about George W Bush though. I dislike that guy as much I dislike any other religious fundamentalist. George W is a born again Christian fundamentalist. Who thought he was conducting God’s work among other places in Iraq. Not very different from you guys.
Horrific results of this lunacy based on these three religions from Jerusalem are everywhere to see. Extremists of Judaism, Christianity & Islam will cause the destruction this world. Sooner or later.
Cheers!
PS:
May I remind you large chunks of the Islamic world is impoverished, illiterate, soaked in bloody violence and are run by ruthless, corrupt dictators. Who never fail to claim what good Muslims they are. Isn’t it time then that Allah interfered? Point is that there is no Allah!
All talk about that for 1400 years is just poppy cock.
Peace be upon you my friend! Live your life the best you can today.

Nishthar Idroos RE: Apostasy, Yes, Death because it is treason
“The question about apostasy is a good one and an answer cannot be given in two or three sentences. This is a misunderstood area and ignorance has made many people say many things about it. It is a very complex and sensitive issue.”
1. “According to Islam, every child is born with the innate ability to know and believe in his Creator; this cognition has been placed by Allah into his nature which we call fitra.”
2. “Every new-born child is born on true human nature; it is his parents who make him a Jew or a Christian or a Magian afterwards.”
3. “Allah has made our souls such that we are able to distinguish between what is good and what is evil”
4. “Jihad cannot be used for imposing Islam on others. This is the Islam of ISIS. The Qur’an clearly says that, “There is no compulsion in the religion.” (2:256) what this verse actually means is that: “There is no compulsion in (accepting) the religion (of Islam).” Why? The verse continues, “Surely the Right Path is clearly distinct from the crooked path” So Muslims can always show the difference between the right and the wrong paths, but not force the non-Muslims to accept Islam.”
5. “Even during the conquest of Mecca, the idol-worshippers were given a grace time of four months to study Islam, and thereafter either become Muslims by their own choice or leave the sacred city.”
THE ANSWERS…..
Nishthar Idroos, the Answer to the Question is given below? Islam, as practiced,as per Quran, considers leaving Islam, once one becomes a Muslim, to be treason, and the punishment for treason is death. Is that what you want to say? Yes, the Christians did that, but they have got out of that apostasy business now, thanks to the Separation of Church and State. So, the Age of reason and enlightenment has not yet arrived for the Muslims, yet, because there is no Separation of State and Mosque, and the Ulema will rule and control.
6. “Once a person becomes a believer, he surrenders the right of making decisions to Allah and the Messenger: “No believing man and no believing woman has a choice in their own affairs when Allah and His Messenger have decided on an issue.” (33:36)”
“In Islam, the concept of treason is not limited to political and military aspects; it also has spiritual and cultural dimension to it. In the Islamic order of sacredness, Allah, then the Prophet, and Islam occupy the highest positions and Allah knows best.”

1. Actually, there is no conflict between Islam and Science.
2. During the Islamic Golden Age, Reason and Revelation were given equal weight and whatever was able to prove it is correct, was allowed.
It was the Age of reason and Enlightenment.
3. Then the Ulema took over. Revelation was above everything, reason, observation and data. It is about Ulama Mullah Hegemony. The Same in Christianity. The Same in Sinhala Buddhism, preserving their privileges.

Graduate Management Admission Test
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graduate_Management_Admission_Test
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT (/ˈdʒiːmæt/ (jee-mat))) is a computer adaptive test (CAT) intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program, such as an MBA. The GMAT does not measure business knowledge or skill, nor does it measure intelligence. According to the test owning company, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the GMAT assesses analytical writing and problem-solving abilities, while also addressing data sufficiency, logic, and critical reasoning skills that it believes to be vital to real-world business and management success. On June 5, 2012, GMAC introduced an integrated reasoning section to the exam that is designed to measure a test taker’s ability to evaluate data presented in new formats and multiple sources.
GMAT is a registered trademark of the Graduate Management Admission Council. More than 5,900 programs offered by more than 2,100 universities and institutions use the GMAT exam as part of the selection criteria for their programs. Business schools use the test as a criterion for admission into a wide range of graduate management programs, including MBA, Master of Accountancy, and Master of Finance programs. The GMAT exam is administered in standardized test centers in 112 countries around the world. According to a survey conducted by Kaplan Test Prep, the GMAT is still the number one choice for MBA aspirants despite the increasing acceptability of GRE scores. According to GMAC, it has continually performed validity studies to statistically verify that the exam predicts success in business school programs.

“We carefully review our questions using criteria defining good item construction. We also compute statistics to assess whether our questions are appropriate across culture groups. We constantly update guidelines for our item writers, including a master list of terms and phrases to avoid in order to assure cultural fairness. By using carefully defined and thorough item development and review processes, along with statistical analyses to flag questions with possible cultural bias, we have developed a test that minimizes the impact of culture and language. The GMAT exam is the best objective measure of the likelihood of success in management programs across the globe.”

“A word of caution to non-muslims especially those in the political and editorial recliner, do not confuse orthodoxy with extremism. The difference is like chalk and cheese.”
But, can you deny the fact that orthodoxy is attempted to be enforbed by extremist means? I am aware and even know personally the Muslim women who cover the heads at their own will. Many prefer ‘modest’ clothing. But, there is extreme pressure on many girls and women to wear such clothes and head cover. Men demand Shairia Law in the western countries.
How fair is it to enforce marriages on 9 year old girls? Please don’t tell us that this was Islamophobic propaganda. Where are the moderate Islamic voices and movements to stand against this? When casteism shut temples, barber saloons, tea rooms, etc. for the so-called low caste in Jaffna, the so-called high caste young men stood against it and fixed it. This was not eradicated fully, but has been controlled to very bearable levels.
Rather than addressing the outsides, changes should rise within. Yes, people like you may seek more tolerance and understanding from the ‘lay public’, but rather than calling others bigots and fear-mongers leaders of Muslim background in the West (even in the non-Muslim countries around the world) should do more.
But, you are not doing it. You are worried, probably, that you would be labelled as Western Agents, I guess.

There is no doubt that there is an explosion of Islamophobia all over the world including in Sri Lanka. No doubt there are shadowy institutions pumping funds directly to keep the fire burning. A good question to ask is where does BBS gets its huge amount of funds for the Islam phobic activities happening in our own backyard.
Having said that I do not agree with many things Nisthar’s lucid writing elucidates. Islam is not all that clean and its enemies are not without but mostly within. The countless wars Muslims waged on Muslims since the death of Muhammad is a stark testimony. Secondly one needs to read the well researched work by Ibn Warraq called “Why I am not a Muslim” to see the obfuscations, hypocrisy, double talk and plain lies found within the so called “Holy Quaran”.
As far as I am concerned religions of all colours including Buddhism are a curse on the intellect of humans and a blight that keeps people divisive.

“By taking shelter of Me in all respects, even those who have been born as untouchables, women, merchants or labourers certainly reach the supreme destination.” – Bhagavad-gita
“I know about your suffering and your poverty–but you are rich! I know the blasphemy of those opposing you. They say they are Jews, but they are not, because their synagogue belongs to Satan.” – Revelations 3:9
Well look – this is what others say in their religions. The moment these teachings are adopted by a faithful he/she becomes a “fundamentalist”.
However, with trappings of modernity they realise people cannot be born as “untouchables” or Jews follow Satan. So naturally a clash occurs.
Do they follow the faith or adhere to logic and reason?
You will find after years of varying degrees of calamity and bad experience the faithful are quietly ignoring these dictates whether God said or not.
They just need a “placeholder” in the corner of the world they identify with religion. So they still identify themselves as Hindu and Christian albeit a carefully selective follower.
So Moslems are also facing a calamity with a clash between fundamental teachings and modern trappings. The ISIS for example faithfully follows verse 2:6-7.
So its one of those things really. What do you do? Do you trust God and subject yourself and others to horrible experiences. Or do you ignore the fundamentals?
There is an alternative. Its simply Buddhism. There are no verses in Dhamma that clashes with modern trappings. Buddhism in fact is timeless. It identified at its inception that all – whether man, woman, animal or deity suffer equally. Therefore they all need to be treated with loving kindness. Its very simple.

RE:Fundamentalism In Muslim Girls School: A Response
Response to – Fundamentalism Creeps Into Muslim International Schools– Part I
“The world knows Islam, its universality proven by its effectiveness. Islam ruled a good portion of the world for a very long time. Spain was with the Muslims for almost 800 years. Its political, economic and social structures very much intact. Its civilization a solid bridge for other civilizations to flourish. Islam imposes no difficulties on its adherents. Everything Islam enjoins is meant to preserve faith, life, intellect and posterity.”
The Wahhabi Takfiri Project of Wahhabis and Salafis..
1. That was the Original Goal of Islam. There was the Meccan Quran, generally peaceful, then the Medina Quran, Survival Violent, Managing and Growing a City State and finally a country, with no separation of Mosque and State, governed by revelations, and later on filling the gaps by the Caliph and the Ulama, the Religious “Scholars”.
2. Disagreements, non-belivers and Hypocrites were there from the beginning. Three of the “Righteous” Califs were assassinated. Then confusion, and finally the Islamic Golden Age Dawned, with the Abisaids, because of the Persian and Iranian influence coupled with the Greek and other cultural influences. That was the Age of Reason and Enlightenment, that lasted from about 800 C.E. to 1,100 C.E., until about the advent of Hamid Al Ghazali. He elevated Revelation above Reason, and the Califs for political reasons, approved because the Ulama, the so-called religious scholars, controlled the people.
Reason and Observations was secondary to Revelation.
Philosophy, natural and others is bad, and mathematics is the work of the Devil.
3. What’s next? The Mongols Attack, because of the arrogance of the Calif at that time. Ibn Taymiah comes with a Theological Hypothesis advanced by the Jews in the Old Testament, that the Mongol destruction was because, God, Allah was angry, as they were not “Good” Muslims. He wrote several books, and the Orthodox Ulama did not agree with his interpretations at that time, because they had good reasons.
3. Abdul Wahhab gets hold of the books in the 18th Century, and advances Ibn Taymiah;s ideas. Finally the Wahhabi State was born. The Wahhabi State is the First ISIS State.
An Islamic Theology can be Hypothesizes that the Wahhabies and their Clones from Ibn Taymiah, Abdul Wahhabi and the present day Wahhabi and theit Colones are agents of Satan., Iblis, based on theit actions such as killing of Muslims by re-labeling them, and the Hadith of Najad.
Circumstantial and Hadith Evidence is in Support of the Wahhabi-Iblis -Satan Hypothesis.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hadith_of_Najd
According to two narrations in Sahih Bukhari, Muhammad asks Allah to bless the areas of Bilad al-Sham (Syria) and Yemen. When his companions said “Our Najd as well,” he replied: “There will appear earthquakes and afflictions, and from there will come out the side of the head (e.g. horns) of Satan.” In a similar narration, Muhammad again asked Allah to bless the areas Medina, Mecca, Sham, and Yemen and, when asked specifically to bless Najd, repeated similar comments about there being earthquakes, trials, tribulations, and the horns of Satan.

Amarasiri, the incorrigible correspondent, the cut and paste specialist, the Wikipedia Scholar, is back at his old game in this thread too. We had been tortured in this forum with the same old hackneyed arguments. When an answer to his endless questions is submitted, his modus operandi is to cut and paste the same question back, over and over, quoting dubious critics of Islam, who themselves are bereft of genuine scholarship.
Let us go to the basics. Is Amarasiri’s charge that Islam is a false religion? Does he say that Islam preaches violence? Or that Prophet Muhammad was a good person but he preached falsehood? If so let him quote chapter and verse in support. He said, that she said, that he said, type of statements do not hold water. We want to hear from him what the Quran says or what the Prophet Muhammad said ( with its authentication)
Now let us examine his albatross, the Hadith of Nejd.
“The basic meaning of Najd is that which is raised/elevated from the earth in contravention to al-Gawr for that is what is lower than it. Tihaamah [the coastal plain along the south-western and southern shores of the Arabian Peninsula] is entirely al-Gawr and Mecca is in Tihaamah.'[…] by this [saying of al-Khattaabee] the weakness of the saying of ad-Daawodee is understood that ‘Najd is in the direction of Iraq’ [min Nahiya al-Iraq] for he suggests that Najd is a specific place. This is not the case, rather everything that is elevated with respect to what adjoins it is called Najd and the lower area called Gawr.”
The celebrated 12th century historian Ali ibn al-Athir, who frequently traveled to Iraq during the era of Saladin and had written his monumental work al-Kamil fi at-Tarikh (The Complete History), writes in his work ‘al-Nihâyah’
“Najd is the highland region. This name is given to area beyond the Hijâz towards Iraq.”
It is also related that Imam Nawawi in his Sharh Saheeh Muslim 2/29 stated that this hadith had to with the Dajjal or Antichrist coming from the East.
On the basis of these clarifications we list out the “Nejds” as explained by Alaama Zubedi Said kin Tajul-Urus in the Explanation of Jamus Vol.2 pg.511 and Alaama Hamumui in (Mawjam Al-Bildaan Vol.19 Pg.265.)
He pointed out the List of Najds.
1-Najd Yamen.
2-Najd Iraq.
3-Najd Hijaaz.
4-Najd Khal.
5-Najd Al-Shari.
6-Najd Azaar.
7-Najd Al-Aqaab.
8-Najd Kabkab.
9-Najd Mari.
10-Najd Alwaz.
11-Najd-e-Aja.
12-Najd Barqq.
As for the people if the Hijaz, this is what was said of Bani Tamim, the largest tribe there.
Sahih Muslim Book 001, Hadith Number 0095.
The refers to the people of Nejd of the Hijaz from whence Sheik Muhammad emanated.
Reference to maps of yore is counter productive as these have been delineated for the purpose of vilifying Sheik Muhammad. Hence the sayings and writings of the people of the period and those legitimate Scholars have to prevail over the opinions of malicious critics.

Just give Answers to Amarasiri’s 5 Questions.
J.Deane, your questions are:
Q1. “Is Amarasiri’s charge that Islam is a false religion? Does he say that Islam preaches violence? Or that Prophet Muhammad was a good person but he preached falsehood? “
Amarasiri is not alluding to any of the above, bit comparing Wahhabism to Iblism. Amarasiri gives support to Wahhabi is Satanic, Ibisic, and the violence in Islam as a primary cause his due to Wahhabi type interpretations.
Q2. “Now let us examine his albatross, the Hadith of Nejd.”
It has been clearly shown that the Najd is from the area of Abdul Wahhab, the copycat of Ibn Taymiah.
Where is Najd – HORN of SATAN?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbHymIJWMfA
Published on Dec 5, 2014
To all the doubters who still think Najd is in Iraq and not in Saudi Arabia.
You noticed in this video that I quoted from scholars, Muslim geographers such as ibn Kurdadhbah, ibn Hawqal and even ibn Taymiyyah to leave you with no doubt that Najd is an area in modern day Saudi Arabia. Here I will once again quote ibn Taymiyyah so your mind will be at rest on this issue.
Shaykh ibn Taymiyyah said in commentary of the hadeeth (where the sun rises) in Musnad Ahmad vol. 5, pp. 372-373 which is graded as authentic (QUOTE): “directly east of the city of the Prophet (p) is where Musaylimah the Liar came from – this one who claimed prophethood after the death of the Prophet (p) – and many people followed him. He was fought by Abu Bakr as-Siddiq” (Al-Jawab us-Sahih li-man Baddala din al-Masih, vol. 6, pp. 127-128). Musaylimah came from Al-Yamaamah and as I showed you in this video, that is located within Najd. This proves that Shaykh ibn Taymiyyah UNDERSTOOD Najd to be within the Arabian Peninsula, (modern day Saudi Arabia) and not in Iraq.
HISTORICAL FACT: all the scholars who lived before the time of Muhammad ibn Abdil-Wahaab who had the title “An-Najdi” attached to their last names, in every case it was always understood that each of those scholars came from Arabia. No scholar who came from Iraq ever had the title “An-Najdi” attached to his last name.
Now my brief refutation of the claim and evidences used to suggest Najd is in IRAQ.
Evidence #1
The hadeeth of ibn Umar reported by Abu Nu’aym in “Hiliya tul Awliya” of Abu Nu’aym al-Isfihani, 6/133. The hadeeth has two particular narrators in it’s Sanad: 1) Abdullah bin Jaami’i al-Halwaani – He is a Mujhool (unknown) narrator and 2) Tawba bin Kisaan – He is thiqa but also considered weak according to some Muhaditheen. So, due these two narrators this hadeeth is actually weak.
Evidence #2
The hadeeth of Jabir reported in Sunnan Ibn Majah (English) Vol. 1, Book 25, Hadeeth # 2915, Dar us Salam Publishers (Riyadh Najd) Saudi Arabia]. This hadeeth contains Ibrahim bin Yazeed who is “MATROOK” “DA’EEF” “MUNKAR UL HADITH” and not to forget Imam Bukhari (rah) himself used the wording “Sakatu ‘anhu” regarding him which proves him to be a worst kind of narrator. So, this hadeeth is not authentic.
Evidence #3
The hadeeth of ibn Umar reported in “Mu’jam al Awsat” by at-Tabaraanee. The chain contains: 1) Ali bin Sa’eed bin Basheer and 2) Ziyad bin Biyan. They both have weakness and/or are not approved. Hence a chain from them will become weak.
Evidence #4
The hadeeth in “Musnad Ahmed” which appears to have an authentic chain. The hadeeth comes via the route of “Handhalah. In this hadeeth Ibn Numayr narrates directly from Handhalah whereas in Sahih Muslim Ibn Numayr narrates this hadeeth from Ishaq bin Suliman first and then Handhalah and this same authentic hadeeth in Sahih Muslim DOES NOT contain the word “IRAQ” but instead uses the word “EAST” (see Sahih Muslim #6942). This same Handhalah is yet again a narrator in another hadeeth chain, and this hadeeth also contains the word “EAST” (see “Akhbar al Makkah” by Al-Fakihi, hadeeth #1123). So it is proven from this same Handhalah that he actually narrated the word “EAST’. Also, this hadeeth (referring to the east) appears to be mistranslated due to the words “Ya’umul Iraq”. However, “Yushero bi Yaddihi Ya’umul Iraq” does not necessarily mean that “he showed Iraq with his hand”. The literal word by word translation could be: “pointed (yushero) with (bi) his hand (yaddihi) “LEADING TOWARDS (YA’UMUL)” Iraq. The word “Ya’umul” proves that pointing was towards a generally eastern direction and not Iraq itself. So, the possible meaning is: “LEADING TOWARDS” Iraq, not Iraq itself.
Evidence #5
Sahih Muslim, book 41, hadeeth #6943. The fact that Muslim narrated that Salim ibn `Abd Allah ibn `Umar applied this hadeeth to the people of Iraq does not limit its meaning to them. Let’s say for example that an evil starts out with it’s roots in Najd (modern day Saudi Arabia) but then spreads to other places, like Iraq or Egypt. The ROOT cause of this evil fitnah will still remain in the territory of Najd even if this fitnah will emerge from different places. It stands proven from the Prophet (p) that no matter where this evil emerges from, it will still be condemned. However, the hadeeth seems to imply that the people of Iraq were simply being warned of the “Horn of Satan” that would emerge in Najd (modern day Saudi Arabia), so that they would also not fall into this evil. Allah knows best.
EXPOSED! The Horn of Satan.

Amarasiri, the Wikipedia student, is amazingly ridiculous. His is the classic case of the proverbial PARANGIA Kotte giya. To explain ( really to confuse) a simple argument he brings in Quantum physics, Regression Plots, GMAT scores and L&Vs etc etc etc and a whole heap of crap.
Amarasiri believes in the following:
1. that Islam is a false religion
2. that Islam preaches violence
3. The Quran contains many inconsistencies
4. that Prophet Muhammad was a good person but he preached falsehood?
In this scenario he quotes the Quran at length confusing many to believe that he is a Muslim. This is like the Devil ( in his language IBLIS, SHAITAN quoting the bible). In other words he plays a Trojan horse acting to vanquish his enemy ( Muslims).
Not understanding Islam from within is a great disadvantage. Not having a sound knowledge of who the true Islamic Scholars are, only exacerbates this situation. During the period of eminent scholars like Imams, Maliki,Sufyan Ath Thawri, Abu Haniffa, Shafiy and Ahmad, they had many enemies even among the ‘Ulema’ of those times. In consequence some of them were incarcerated and even subject to bodily harm. These enemies also had their supporters but eventually Truth was victorious and the Scholars gained due recognition.
The case of Sheiks Ibn Tayyimah and Muhammad are no different to those of the pious Imams. Both brought about a revival of the true Islam in its pristine form. They too had their enemies, among them the so-called Scholar from Al-Azhar. None of their critics have faulted the books authored by these two great Scholars. All the criticism is based on hearsay, falsehood and misinterpretation to a mischievous agenda.
My advice to the Muslim readers is not to get too perturbed by the lies, misinterpretation and insults hurled at Islam and the Holy Prophet (S). Remember that all our religious Scholars suffered very much worse at the hands of their enemies. So engage in the dialogue only to present facts but stay away from convoluted harangue.

Finally, we have it. A different take on that issue. A long awaited response to appease great many concerned students and parents who are, or intend to send their children to attend this well established institution for Muslim girls. None should be anymore concerned on any of the so called ‘mischievous rumors’ nor issues raised in that initial article produced on CT and repeated by Dilantha Withanage of BBS fame, as you are assured your daughters and sisters are in safe hands studying at Ilma Int’l. To take on this bastion takes balls, to use a crude term, unless there was a high level of persuasion or a valuable prize to be collected as reward.
If that funny looking top hat speaker was so disgruntled over their education curriculum, he should take his followers and go start a school of his own, and then see the response he gets. He will most likely be running a tuition class rather than a fully fledged school like Ilma.

” …..he should take his followers and go start a school of his own, and then see the response he gets. He will most likely be running a tuition class rather than a fully fledged school like Ilma. “
Just because a large number of students attend a particular school does not mean that the religious teachings of that school is correct. I am talking about the religious knowledge (Deen) and not the worldly knowldge (Sciences)that is imparted by this school. In fact what Allah says is contrary to your view. That is only a minority and not the majority as you claim are on the correct path …
Al Quran – Verse 6:116
Sahih International:
And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah. They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.
Pickthall:
If thou obeyedst most of those on earth they would mislead thee far from Allah’s way. They follow naught but an opinion, and they do but guess.
Yusuf Ali:
Wert thou to follow the common run of those on earth, they will lead thee away from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture: they do nothing but lie.
Shakir:
And if you obey most of those in the earth, they will lead you astray from Allah’s way; they follow but conjecture and they only lie.
Muhammad Sarwar:
Most of the people in the land will lead you away from God’s guidance if you follow them; they only follow their own conjecture and preach falsehood.
Mohsin Khan:
And if you obey most of those on earth, they will mislead you far away from Allah’s Path. They follow nothing but conjectures, and they do nothing but lie.
Arberry: If thou obeyest the most part of those on earth they will lead thee astray from the path of God; they follow only surmise, merely conjecturing.

Brother Nisthar,
Thank you for your effort in clarifying the true tenet of Islam and how the critics are attempting to tarnish its true nature.
In my opinion the reason why hate and fear psychosis against Islam are gaining momentum is mainly due to the intransigence of the true Muslims towards the non-Muslim. Qur’an says that Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) has been sent as blessing to the worlds. Therefore, the followers of the prophet should portray the qualities that should benefit mankind in this world and hereafter. Saving them from the fire of hell in the hereafter is our main priority.
Unfortunately the Islamic nations and Muslims at large have forgotten this key objective and do not worry about the salvation of the rest of the world. The material world has overtaken their desire for the hereafter.
It is about time that we Muslims get our acts together to show our worries and concern about the rest of the world and their salvation from the fire of hell in the hereafter. Sacrifice from ourselves to uphold the rights of the non-Muslims and towards their enlightenment of one creator is the way forward to nullify the adverse publicity by the critics of Islam.

All innovations introduced into the Religion of Islam are evil, misguidance, and lead to the Fire and there is no allowance in Islam for what is referred to as a good innovation (bid`ah hasanah) due to the saying of the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam): “Indeed the worst of all affairs [in Islam] are the newly introduced matters, for every newly invented matter is bidah, and every bidah is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire.” And he said: “Whoever introduces into this affair of ours that which is not from it, then it is rejected.”
Islam doesn’t demand the elimination of cultural diversity. It simply seeks to rid cultures of unjust and immoral practices. Culture came from people. Islam came from Allah. So remember to follow Islam over Culture.

All this talk about schools being preached Extremism in schools is certainly a new phenomenon to SL. I am particularly going to touch upon one aspect of the Veil.
Back in the 70’s and 80’s and infact the early 90’s school girls never wore the Burqa outfit. It was a simple shawl around the neck and along with a trouser and shirt whilst other ethnicities wore the standard issue uniform. There several leading Ladies from the muslim community who wore a sari with the fall used to cover the head. Countries like Indonesia and Malaysia which are populous muslim countries we don’t see people wearing veils but a simple scarf covering the head. Even in Countries such the UAE we don’t see women wearing veils. Does this imply that my muslim brethren from these times are and were not pious.
My point is that this veil is a new phenomenon that is being forced upon the muslim community by radicals with ulterior motives.
Furthermore, as the writer lives in Canada a question would he prefer to allow his children to walk freely than live subjugated to the whims and fancy’s of the mulla’s who preach this radical ideology.

This is process known as Arabisation of the entire world.
Mostly men decide what the women wear, eat, whom they fall in love with, and the men have taken control of women’s reproductive organs.
In fact the men are so ugly (in their, thought, words and actions) they should be wearing Burqa, not the women.

I am bit curious, how did your acquaintance reach paradise, on a camel, a donkey, four wheel drive, Emirates Air Line, teleportation, or by suicide bombing?

“The biggest, most persistent, and perennial problem is the constant attempts by ‘rude’ boys getting into the boarding halls.”
Are the boys circumcised? If not, not Sunath.

Bro. Nisthar.
It’s a great article. My humble request though is to make it more of a simple English so as to make it easier for every readers to understand well.
Most of the readers here are not native speakers as I presume. Making it simpler would ensure your ideas reach larger audience.
Wishing you goodluck

Mr Nisthar Idroos
can you say in one simple word; does Islam respect mankind and other regions?
/
Muslim / February 25, 2016
Let the muslim children learn the REAL ISLAM BROUGHT BY PROPHET MUHAMMED and not the Islam brought from
Saudi Arabia . What the said muslim school Is teaching is confusing the students as some of the teachers are followers
Of the tabligue movement or followers of Wahhabism. Instead of fighting each other the education ministry must monitor
And set a guide line in consultation with muslim scholars and teach Islam to these innocent children.
/
Goraka / February 26, 2016
So “Muslim”, you know about real Islam?
Most Muslim children go to non-Islamic schools, and “Muslim” does not have a problem with that, until, it is taught by Muslims. Then these Muslim teachers are called names!
Stupid!
/
Muslim / February 26, 2016
Goraka the name suits you well .
Muslims have no problem in sending children to non Islamic schools ,in fact the children do not
get confused in studying their religion as a subject there.
The problem in the said school is that some teachers who are followers of tabligue and Wahhabism are
Brainwashing the innocent children’s minds with the doctrine that they are following.
Goraka “muslim” thinks that you are confused too!

Respect is treating others the way we expect to be treated which is very central to the Deen of Islam.
I don’t understand what you mean by regions. Allah who is your Lord and mine asked one of his angels to collect sand from different plains of the earth, white, black and red prior to creating each one of us. That is why the children of Adam came out with different colors. This is the Islamic aqeedah (belief). Mankind per se are known as children of Adam.
Following is an excerpt of what the Prophet (may Allah exalt his mention) said in his farewell speech-
“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action.

I beg your pardon. Allah is not my lord. make no assumptions.
This is the problem with the you guys.
You want to impose Islam on the whole world

Idroos,
The Problem with muslim Alims is that they are stagnating. The doors to constructive ijthihad has been closed by them. They will not allow normal lay people like you and me to interpret the Quran either. Well, their interpretation is contradictory too from one sect to another. They are a divided pathetic lot. They quote & quote from hadith. Unlike the Quran the hadith has come in for a lot of critisism lately. The so called authentic or not. Your above comment too is from the hadith and not the Quran. ALLAH says the best hadith is the Quran …
” God has sent down the best HADITH ; a book that is similar in two ways. The skins of those who reverence their Lord shiver from it, then their skins and their hearts soften up to the remembrance of God. Such is God’s guidance; He guides with it whoever He wills. And for whomever God misguides, then none can guide him.” [39:23]
“Are you questioning this hadith?” [53:59]
“Are you disregarding this hadith?” [56:81]
“These are God’s revelations that We recite to you with truth. So, in which HADITH after God and His revelations do they believe? ” [45:6]
“Let them produce a hadith like this, if they are truthful.” [52:34]
Wake up. Question longstanding practices fearlessly. Only then you will find the truth. The rarest gem is not found by sitting and listening to sermons by stagnated minds. You have to work hard for it.
Lies cannot be sustained forever.
AL QURAN – 17:81
Truth has come and falsehood has been banished; it is doomed to banishment.

If Islam is what this writer says, why Sunnis kill shiites and vise versa. Why muslims try to eliminate other religions when they have the upper hand ?
Why African muslims, stone to death a muslim girl because she was in love with a christian boy ?
Muslims are very good hiding every thing of theirs’ and blame others for every thing.
Muslim schools whether fundamentalist or not does not matter. Because, muslims does not contribute to world’s material growth. Muslim girls when they get to the puberty, they get married and make as many children as they can.
So, it is good, when they cover everything. at least husband will be happy thinking he got a woman that no one touched at least by eyes. On the other hand, the husband can have many women both according to his religion and even without his religion. According to Islam, even the woman servant in his home is for his sexual escapades. It is halal.
Talk the reality and not the one you want to create.

Hey Jim Shitty, this happens when racist imbeciles like you are wandering about promoting hatred. Why did Premadasa murder 85,000 rural Sinhala youths?

Islam is not Sunni neither is it Shia. To which Sect did the the Prophet Muhammad belong. Ask the muslims. They don’t know. Because he didn’t belong to any of these stupid sects.

Most Sri Lankans dress up like Westerners and no one complains. In fact, we are proud about our behaviour. Some ladies even go sun-bathing in bikini! But as soon as a Muslim lady don a Hijab, everyone seems upset and angry.
Take that for intelligence!
/
CitizenOne / February 26, 2016
The difference is that their churches and parents and families all dont pressurize them from a very young age to wear a bikini..
Just saying…

Forcing man written outdated scripts on children as a message from superman living in sky and bowing to that unconditionally is the way ebrahmic religions implemented their rulers obedience. We would like to live in a educated society. But you guys are dumbing down all of us. I mean not letting us to tackle the real Devils.

Man may have written it down. But no man could have inspired a text where even a comma has remained unchanged for nearly 1400 years.
“Were all mankind to come together and wish to produce the like of the Qur’an, they would never succeed, however much they aided each other”. (Al Quran – 17:88)

I wonder whether the girls at this school are required to mutilate their clitoris like some moslem women(800,000) globally to deny them sexual pleasure as some groups believe. This is evil, and the thinking is stone age.Well the earth is flat and allah knows best.

For every comment posed at you , your reply is a convoluted quote apparently from Quran
So can you quote from Quran why fellow muslims are driving their brothers and sisters away from their home and forcing them to take dangerous journey seeking safe refuge in the west?
