Ranil appears to be interested again in unity government. But the small parties blackmailed him to give way to Vaalaiththodam is forcing him to go for election. Mano Ganesan got fear when Vaalaiththodam, Mangala, Harin like the ones were resigning. He said “Tomorrow Cabinet will be dissolved, why these ministers are resigning”. The leaders of these small parties like Hakeem, Rishard Mano Ganesan would be already entitled to pension. But there are still about 70 MPs have to hang around until the end of the term. They would go with Ranil for Unity government. Few of they may even get minister posts, if Hakeem, Rishard, Mano gone out of cabinet. If Ranil can drag with even weaker unity government for some more time, he may become the president. That is what creating the fear with the smaller parties. They worked hard to make him give way to Vaalaiththodam. But it seems they fear if he is working around them by the back door. If the election comes they can renegotiate with King. Then they can block even the new constitution, proposed with devolution for North East. However,when u analyse the story behind his victory it would appear that his victory was not on party lines but rather on a caste issue where the 2 major parties merged to ensure that a Goigama Buddhist won the election.Both Ranil W & the Buddhist Clergy were complicit in this plan. The ideal scenario would have been someone like Nagananda and a brand new team of people to come in right now. The mandate now at this election is to President Gota and NOT to Mahinda, Ranil, or anyone else. The people do not want the same old wine.
The new President should now fulfil the people’s mandate (all people irrespective of ethnicity) and establish a country with ONE law for all.
1. Scrap the wasteful 13th amendment and Provincial Councils
2. Scrap the shameful Indo Lanka Accord
3. Scrap all unnecessary bureaucracy – a burden to the nation’s taxpayers
4. Adopt Singapore’s “Ethnic Integration Policy” (which DS used) to settle ALL ethnicities islandwide to ensure zero ethnic ghettos
5. Ban all ethnic parties
6. Ensure one medium of instruction in English for all students in one school system and gear it toward the future skills of IT, engineering, economics and science (the STEM education model)
7. At any election, run with NEW people. Young people who have a vision, not the fat buffoons from before.
8. Stop pandering or focusing on India. Open to the WHOLE WORLD and become like Singapore. This country needs massive investment which China, South East Asia etc can provide. Furthermore, scrap all Indian rubbish trains and invest in high speed electric air conditioned transport for all (both trains and buses from China, Japan and home made ones here)
9. Build at least ONE proper international airport modelled on Changi.
10. Build proper electric air conditioned trains and scrap all these Indian atrocious things that are not fit for living beings to travel in.
If these BASIC things are done, we will become a harmonious, integrated and meritocratic country which economically booms and socially blossoms into another Singapore within no more than a decade.
