Hirunika Guns For Dr. Maheshi Wijeratne Who Covered Up For Duminda Silva

Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra has made a public appeal requesting authorities to investigate Dr. Maheshi Wijeratne, the consultant neurosurgeon who allegedly covered up for Duminda Silva.

HirunikaIn a post published today on her Facebook page which shows a picture of her father, lying dead on a hospital stretcher which clearly shows the fatal gun shot injury to his head, Hirunika said, “I am posting this picture not for your sympathy, but for you to understand this is how ‘shot in the head’ looks like. It’s impossible to live even a second after a shot like this,” she said.

Therefore, she said an investigation should be launched soon against the doctor who submitted false medical information to the Court. Wijeratne, a very close acquaintance of Access Group Chairman Sumal Perera is alleged to have come to the rescue of Duminda Silva soon after his shoot out with Premachandra, helping him cover up by submitting a false report claiming that Silva, had suffered brain injury as a bullet had travelled through his brain during the shooting between Pramachandra and Silva and their thugs.

Sumal Perera was a close associate of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and had been the middle man in bringing in Wijeratne to the scene to help Silva who claims to have lost his memory over the incident.

Silva is currently on death row after being found guilty for murdering Premachandra.

Yes pull up everyone who helped make up the story and the doctors who treated him abroad too. Don’t let them get away. they will try to change the death penalty to life in prison!

Who engineered the cover up story!?

Singapore is the favourite destination of corrupt and criminal Sri Lankan politicians..

Hirunika should find out who gave shelter to Duminda Silva in Singapore.

Rajitha Seneviratne another corrupt clown rushed off to Singapore for so called treatment because the SL health services are not good enough. This practice of corrupt and criminal politicians going to Singapore for health holidays on the tax payers expense must be stopped.

The people of Lanka will not pay taxes until the politicians stop going on medical trips to Singapore and having tax free cars while the poor are landed with massive taxes by the Ranil-Sira steel from the poor to fatten the rich ayahapalanaya govt.!

Yeah time for rebellion against fat-cat Sri Lankan politikkos squandering tax-payers money! Massive tax boycott should be in order at National Level.

Clinical examination of Duminda Silva’s head will reveal whether he has really undergone surgery. If there are no scars, MR’s and Gota’s involvement to rush him out for medial treatment will reveal their complicity. It is as simple as that to determine that this was a premeditated murder at the behest of the Rajapaksas and not something that happened on the spur of the moment.

We perfectly know these checks are simple.

There are also provisions within WHO ordinances, nationala and international laws related to the patient data proection regulations, that any patient is met iwth a high crime, those medical records reports can be subjected to screeing/scurtiny still keeping the confindentiality of the met person.

So, I dont think that lanken law authorities will have any stumbling blocks if would make every efforts to contact counter part authorties in Singapore in terms of MEDICAL reports of the patient who is said to have gone all crucial OPs.. as Lawyer Warnakulasooriya publicly reported, Duminda to have been implanted a metal cover in his head should easily be proved…

Why the lanken medical journalists stayed mum over the last few months is what I raise here.

Under a despotic regime crooks/professionals join hands, network, scratch each others back, to stay afloat and powerful, scared and greedy, hide their own sins, …… this been the case since 1970s.

The question is how did the entire country become so corrupt?

The norm used to be staying honest all one’s life. Now if one is not well connected (network of corrupt) generally people don’t respect.

The island has lost its sense of purpose and lost meaning of norms and exceptions.

They promoted a culture making MR a king. Artistes and almost any prominent were forced to come forward and add their thoughts in public with the media men trained by Rajakahe siblings.

Latter media men are still in action – that is why you see them roaming everything, …. being stumbling blocks to the real journos to the job.

If those men PUT IT IN TO AIR ” THE SKY IS BLACK” in a manner gullible, highly vulnerable, gawky men and women would not disagree – their aim was fulfilled.

Please interview 100 people of a cross section in the society today for focusing some general issues – in terms of previous regime…. there you will yourself realize the average knowledge of them.

Whoever does so should be brought to before the nation whether that was by their own pockets or from the state. Basta, that can then clear the doubts.

If the bill for information is passed, the authortieis have the chance to work on that.. that is how they can serve this easily manilpulative fools filled society be free from lies.

The present Health Minister’s wife who was an influential medical professional herself and a good friend of the said Dr. Maheshi Wijeratne was also involved in this cover up. Television footage showed these Yahapalana ministers as well as UNP’s Rosy Senanayake visiting Duminda at the SJP hospital. Irony is Hirunika got the opportunity to get into the parliament eliminating Rosy because of her father’s demise. It is a blessing that both Drug dealers Bharatha and Duminda are no more.

        Vijebahu,

You feel good after typing that comment?

Hirunika’s father’s murder case is one thing and hirunika trying to intervene in a private matter of her acquaintance/office worker is another. Are you envying her perseverance and victory in the murder case?

Even the job justice system will pardon her for the other case when considering her inexperience, age, etc. Well, she learnt her lesson with that case, we can assume.

It will certainly a good advertisement for the Singapore hospital to treat a ‘severely brain injured’ patient and bring him back to normal, without any weakness in all limbs and without any disability due to the serious brain injury. If such things can really be done to a patient it is really a medical wonder.

It is not the fault of the doctors in Singapore who treated him but the fault of the Sri Lankan Neurosurgeon to give a bogus medical certificate to help a criminal to escape from justice, denying the bereaved family of the victim fair play.

I am sure lot of money would have transpired between the two to give the criminal a chance to escape from being prosecuted and face fair trial. Such people are a shame to medical profession and if proven the doctor concerned should have her license forfeited by the medical council and importantly without leaving at that she should be severely punished by the courts for giving false evidence by the medical certificate. This is perjury and is a serious offence punishment I believe can amount to heavy cash penalty and a jail sentence. This doctor if she has willfully committed such an offence certainly deserves it.

You rock girl!! Many are in the position to ask this question but only you have the guts to do it. I always wondered why the AGs department didn’t ask for the Diagnosis Card from the Singapore hospital or even a letter from the neuro surgeon who is supposed to have operated on Duminda. It’s as simple as that.
Now there’s every chance that this man will go to the Supreme Court and get away on some flimsy grounds.
More strength to you … and security too.

Ceylon Medical council or the related offices that should work for holding it as the commonwealth world respect it – seem to be very sensitive in the line of keeping standards of a medical doctor.

Approbation laws for a doctor is held within HIGHLY restrictive laws and performance in EU countries.

But in the same time, these councils or the like would not work to keep the standards while some doctors such as above in actions allowing to do work biased to the criminals – state should be really pathetic. That shows the levels of lanken medical professions is fallen to this day.

Please authorities, be open your eyes regarding any wrongful acts being taken in terms of Duminda Silva s case and other cases being investigated currently. I wonder why that ExJMO that should be accoutable for the investigating case of killed Wasim, is still without being arrest. If the incident like this would have been reported in Germany or UK, the man without giving him any more time, would have been arrested and kept in remand until correct inv is dong ALONE against as to why he did so. If not him who to be accountable for missing the body parts that were under his charge ? This is a peityless condition regardless of all factors.

“If the incident like this would have been reported in Germany or UK, the man without giving him any more time, …..”

But in Germany or UK there is rule of Law and officers are allowed to work without any threats from the people in power.

Here in Sri Lanka when Rajapakse was in power he intimidated and got things done. He had total control. Officers feared their own lives and their livelihood.

        Leelagemalli

They feared Rajapakse could even make a false charge and throw them out of employment and it would take many years for the victimized officer to receive justice after having spent all his savings, time and ruined his family.

What is the purpose of being found not guilty when by then he would passed retirement age and he cannot recover what he had lost. It is far better to comply and be safe. The officer will first save himself first before saving and getting justice for the late Premachandra’s family.

If this argument is put forward to courts I pretty sure courts cannot find them guilty

Why the media men stay away not asking former president to involve in responding the valuable questions.

Why the media men seem to allow his and their prevarications, even after 1 year is over since the new govt is in power ?

I have not seen any valuable interviews held with former President on any issues sofar.

I really dont think FORMER President is over occupied his agendas.. heshould have enough time to clear so many doubts that the allegations levelled at him on various incidents- but media men not to have approached him sofar is my million dollar question by this day.

Even Gammadda promoting Sirasa has failed to bring former President to discussion round yet – focusing the but the clarity of various issues occured in the last term of previous regime.

Currently, we watch we are involved in watching war related complications direct through war fought Army commander, fIELD Marshal Sarath Fonseka, but former President and Secretary of Defence have been kept away from focus by Hiru, Sirasa, Derana or other channels… why ?

Sumal Perera need to be behind bars but the corrupt politicians are still partying with him.. this is Ayahapalanaya

Please read this expose by Sonali Samarasinghe, who lost her husband to Gota’s goons as well…

Access Chief continues to celeb rate jackpot win

Sumal’s underhand dealings in land grab revealed despite songs of innocence

Jayawewa company party held for Sumal’s business associates and friends days after judgment

UNP and SLFP governments both culpable as influence peddling takes centre stage

Sumal pays a mere Rs. 500,000 to UDA for land he hawks at Rs. 12 million

UDA as joint vendor well aware Sumal raking in Rs.11.5 million per 20 perch block

It is indeed a mystery as to why no action (legal) against this wheeler/dealer Sumal Perera has been started. And one must not forget Gota’s top henchman at the UDA, Nimal Perera.

BTW Sumal’s Access has been awarded the contract for the flyover from Rajagiriya to Borella. Anyone can see the sign boards around the construction site. He has wormed himself in again.

        • 1
          0

He has protection under UNP. He got this contract without any transparent bid. Everyone succumbs to money eventually. He is now very close to Dr. Harsha De Silva who got the bridge he wanted and is widely advertising this. During SLFP regime every UNPer shouted so much about Sumal and Access Group when they build flyovers. Now they are doing the same..

We don’t need charlatans even with medical degrees.

There were “photos” of “Duminda’s brain” in the media, which looked like a piece of meat from the butcher shop.

This I was thinking about in the afternoon. All those medical reports publicly displayed by Lawers should be re-investigated. I really dont think he has head injuries that needed repeated ops.

His memory was fine on the public stages made for PE elections. Only what reechoes my ears is – ATHIGARU JANADHIPATHITHUMA ETC::: WAS repeated byhim than anything else.

Either ATHIGARU was a bloody fool to be taken for a ride by this murderer, or if not he was personally involved in a conspiracy to cover up for the murderer. ATHIGARU should be prosecuted for authorizing tax payers money to transport this bum to Singapore, to create a diversionary story, for hospitalizing the bugger and paying another set of conniving medicos to generatefalse evidence, all to mislead the Courts. How could ATHIGARU could ever be trusted when he and all his advisors and family members have all been caught red handed in this MURDER case and cover up.

Athigaru has now been thinking that his sons will not be able to escape if the judges would react the way they did in the death conviction made for his former man Duminda Silva.

Gold lady, former president wife may go through all the torments being very sure, his son Yoshita or Namal or both will have to face it in the manner Duminda facing it, interms of Wasim s murder. Almost everything being revealed day to another are connected more with former president and his family, than anyone else.

This we told you former president – you behaved as if you were not even held as a Pradesheeya Saba member…. but your media units painted the picture in poor hearts, to be called as people s president…

All comparable countries in developing world, politicians behave the way you term did -but all thes eis no permenent, lies will come to surface with the time. The poor dont remain poor for eternity. People are clever than appeared to be.

This was a well known fact among many others that were manipulations carried out by and with the knowledge and blessings of the then “Regime” to protect the criminals. All these show how the whole of the society from top to bottom has been purposely corrupted for the survival and pleasures of the then Regime of MR. It is not an easy task to clean it; but NEED to be cleaned at any “cost”. That CLEAN UP and ESTABLISHMENT of a JUST SOCIETY is the purpose and direction of YAHAPALANAYA. It is everyone’s responsibility to oversee that DIRECTION and MONITOR the progress; but not in any sense to cripple it and change the course. Time has come for MR and his COURTIER organized as “JO” including those saffron clothed men to realize “Enough is Enough”. A change of heart would be a BLESSING for all of them. This aspect of this crime must be investigated as demanded by Ms Hirunika.

well done,. this evil woman who was the daughter of a former UNP minister of JRJ govt and her brother being a mate of RW, I doubt RW will have balls to get going.

Further she is going on with someone have lot of ACCESS and a wheeler dealer in both the MaRa and Yahapalana govts.

Interesting to note, she was able to built and operate a lucky beach hotel and none other than MaRa was to open the hotel probably build by part of the kudu money.

Kudu Dumi may have got a shrapnel for sure but not the gravity of an injury that was build up my this evil woman and his lawyer Hemantha W. another very dubious creature.

Its time the professional bodies like GMOA/SLMC/BASL etc come together and expose and given the maximum charge.

Initially it was only the law enforcement that was a joke now we see the medical profession is turning to be a worse joke. Sad part is that its no laughing matter. Cases of Lasantha and Thajudee just two examples where its suspected they disgraced the profession for either money or power.

They cannot do their profession proper other than hosing the public now they want to involve themselves in trade and politics. Go figure!

And why not they can exchange the views directly with the corresponding Singaporian hospital. There are international laws that will for sure allow to do so – in patient files belong to high crimes. This should be read under WHO health ordinances too. Please authorities do your job correctly and not delaying it.

Good work Hirunika. Hound out these wretched medical gangsters that bring disgrace to the profession. In this case the individual concerned had concocted false evidence to mislead the Court. The culprit and those that aided and abetted this criminal activity MUST be severely punished.

BTW, why was it that Hirunika’s or prosecution lawyers could not get Court’s permission for an independent medical expert to examine Kudda’s skull. I bet all his weal marks on the skull were done with plasticine. Any legal beagle’s could respond to my query?

Free education is the problem, every rif raf wants to be a doctor
And medical profession goes to the dogs, vet all doctors ethics
Before giving free education to people with questionable ethics.
Oxford and caimbridge before they enrol any student for medicine,
They ask there parents to come for interview.though the parents are paying
,the interview looks at the holistic up bringing.

    • 3
      0

Don’t blame free education. Her basic medical qualification is MBBS (Monash). Probably fee paying Australian private medical education is available for rif rafs without considering holistic up bringing

    • 2
      0

“”,the interview looks at the holistic up bringing. “2

Sure free education is the bane of problem.
The UK is facing the same problem after Labour came into power- poor single mums kids with low entry level are awarded scholarships- social engineering.A English tea room by with 50% at A/L gets admission to Cambridge but quits after 1 year because he is misfit and becomes a courier boy thinking he would be a bill gates one day and swindles every office he finds temporary employment.

But interviewing parents is all your imagination.!!

What are the interviewers looking for?

The main focus of interviews is to explore your academic potential, motivation and suitability for your chosen course. Questions are designed to assess your:

      problem-solving abilities
assimilation of new ideas and information
      intellectual flexibility and analytical reasoning
It’s important for you to remember that interviewers won’t be trying to ‘catch you out’, but will be challenging you to think for yourself and show how you can apply your existing knowledge and skills laterally to unfamiliar problems.

Interviews help selectors to gauge how you would respond to the teaching methods used at Cambridge. Interviews are similar in many ways to supervisions.

It is said that there was gun battle and gun fire at the scene of the murder. There were eye witnesses . I do not know if there were grenade explosions. The incident had been a close encounter. so the wounds are supposed to be serious one. If it is from gun it should be a bullet not a shrapnel. If it is bullet there should be an entry wound and another exit wound. The bullet travel in spiral path and make severe damage inside and the exit wound is much larger than entry wound. Any dr’s report must be supported by autopsy evidence and investigation results and reports whether it is in SL or Singapore. The court should have called a medical expert witness. The system should get two autopsy reports from two different JMO’s at the same time without contacting each other.
I heard about a woman burnt alive by her husband managed to get a medical report as suicide. this happened in Batticallo. It is very common in Sri Lanka to convert murder to accident or suicide with the help of the medical report. So Duminda case is not an uncommon one but a usual normal practice in Sri Lanka. It reflect the usual practice in Sri Lanka. The ruler follows the Citizens and vice versa.
To correct Justice system the medical system should be corrected first.
There is stipulated fee for issuing a medical certificate. It is the fee the condition for Medical certificate not the illness.

This neurosurgeon charages huge sum of fees for her work from patients and she is well known for that at SJGH.She doesn’t care whether patients sell their property to pay her bills. If such person can stoop to such low levels to protect a underworld criminal like DS,She should be held accountable. She is a disgrace to medical profession and the medical council should look after the interests of the profession. If this happened in UK she would have lost her licence to practise and probably be charged with a criminal offence .

Im a bit confused in how the leading hospital in a country like Singapore who follow the rule of law, hide a fake patient for more than a year and then send fake medical certificates for the judiciary in Sri Lanka.

Kudu Dumi may have money to spend for a year with billions of kudu money got with the help of his mafia god-father Gota, but wonder a leading hospital like Mt. Elizabeth will get their good name tarnished by sheltering a criminal.

Anything is possible in Sri Lanka with MaRa, GoRa, Maheshi, Sumal, Hematha W et al with full state behing a drug lord… but seriously do they get that from the legal hospital in Singapore?

It is hilarious the judge panel did not call for a independent medical opinion from another Neuro Surgeon or medical experts and just stick to the flawed/doctored medical certificates of kudu Dumi’s lawyers.

It is also possible to produce a FORGED medical report concocting as a genuine one coming from Singapore hospital. All Kudda’s lawyers, doctors, witnesses, supporting politicians, advisors are crooks and gangsters. They have money from a bottomless pit, so forging a document was not a big deal for them. Sri Lanka has a thriving document forging industry, judging by the media reports we read coming from Foreign Embassies. Was there any genuine Singaporean doctor/ specialist personally giving evidence at the Court? We never heard that it was so? All document evidence could be forged just the same way the crooked Dr Maheshi has been given false evidence to mislead the court.

The question here is whether Duminda had an injury or not. As a responsible doctor who worked at SJGH at that time and saw Duminda in the ICU I can say with confidence & 100& accuracy that Duminda had a gunshot injury through his head. The Hospital records will be the only evidence that is available now. So most of the people who are writing comments are just writing something out of anger and also to tarnish the image of a doctor. Please get your facts before making comments. Mud slinging is not the answer.I do not want to go into details about the injury, but the injury caused damage to what is called in medical language, the frontal lobe of the brain and has very little functional value compared to other parts of the brain. There are patients who recover after brain injury, some have disability, some recover fully. I hope this explanation will sort out the issue.

According to Press men promoted by Rajakaashe Media Units including that Lawyear Kulasooriya… the person who displayed the pictures into the screens on that – calling it a medical wonder, with british medical journal or other being away from reporting – remain beyong a big suspicion.

All these were a big plan under secretary of defence who was the guy asking all the men to bring the man to S pore hospital not even leaving few days after the Baratha killed accident occured:

They took the lives of the innocient, but reacted accordingly to cover it from the media with their special units of media – painting the picture in favour of their behaviours. Very similarly to what happening in North Korea today.
This is why people thought that secretary of defence is very tactful – in terms of technical manamgement following any brutalities.

Again please never forget to compare the screen displays following 2010 Presidential election. The manner Sarath fonseka was taken to custody, not even our rabid dog was collected that way- by the authoriteis came to the place in 70ties.

Your explanation is fine. Let the Courts get an independent Medical person to certify that surgery has been performed on Duminda’s head, because there should be scars remaining. If there are no scars the matter should be probed. Even if he has been subject to plastic surgery, still medically it can be established whether he had undergone skull surgery. All medical reports should be examined by Courts and the respective Doctors summoned to Court.

        Dear Gamini,
We know you are a reputed surgeon. However, people in Sri Lanka have lost faith in medical profession. Most of the doctors believe their profession is nothing but a money spinning industry .I have many disgraceful experiences at well known private hospitals with doctors who have gone down to extremely low levels to extract large sums of money from patients. In that kind of context Maheshi wouldn’t have too bothered about ethics and principles in dealing with this case. However as you have said it is not fair to be judgmental prematurely without knowing the exact true story.
Hirunika can dig up the case. Check the notes made by admission officer at SJGH.
There would have been injuries noted if he had any and imaging would have been done. Simple xray or MRI,CT scans need to be checked. These evidence can be vanished with no time and Hirunika has to act soon. Duminda Silva’s Singapore hospital record should be verified independently. Has he actually being treated in this particular hospital. If he needed lengthy recovery as he proclaim, his injuies would have been serious and all these details could be traced from hospital notes. In Singapore it is unlikely to be doctored.
Obviously if Maheshi has done her job properly she has nothing to fear and she can put forward her case with all the evidence to back her up.It will be interesting as ususlly these cases will not result any meaningful resolutions, but on this occasion can expect something different. Medical professional should not try to cover their colleague and they should appear for justice as we are craving for a just society devoid of rogues. Let us start from cleaning our medical profession.

          Prasad
Thank you for speaking on behalf of readers of Colombo Telegraph. Dr Goonetilleke may or may not aware that many readers have medical background. It would be useful that some one could share details of the neurosurgical injury.
As far as image of the doctors are concerned readers are in a better position to judge and I kindly suggest Dr Goonetilleke to stay clear of protecting the image particularly Dr wijeratne’s image considering the street brawl she was involved showing the true nature of her character.

      DR. Gamini Goonetilleke,

“100& accuracy that Duminda had a gunshot injury THROUGH his head”

When you say “through his head” you being Doctor MBBS Can you please enlighten us 1. What you mean by head?
      2. When you say “THROUGH”- The bullet from the gun has traversed through head by your terms;from which direction the bullet has traversed right to left or vise-versa or from front to back of the skull?

///”damage to what is called in medical language, the frontal lobe of the brain and has very little functional value compared to other parts of the brain”///

This statement of yours answers the 2nd question I posed, the bullet has traversed the MOST front-al part of the skull from either right to left or from left to right, and that is why bullet traversed, damaged the MOST FRONT PART of the brain only!
If the bullet had traversed from front to back It would have damaged the whole brain and Duminda wouldn’t have lived to cook stories and that is what discussed here.

        Dear Readers,

This statement of yours answers the 2nd question I posed, the bullet has traversed the MOST front-al part of the skull from either right to left or from left to right, and that is why bullet traversed, damaged the MOST FRONT PART of the brain only!

Please read the above paragraph of the comment above as follows as well

If at all front-al lobe only had been damaged due to bullet traversing through the brain, then the gun shot should have been from the right or left side straight, never can be even diagonally, that is how brain lobes are positioned, within the skull of a human standing facing the gun shot.

Dilini Silva, Duminda Silva’s sister in her face book has posted some pictures of Duminda’s Surgery In Sri Jayawardenepura Hospital and Mt Elizebeth Hosptal Singapore – this pictures amply proves that the bullet has traversed the skull only that covers the brain – and the any part of brain has not been touched either by bullet traversing the skull or by the surgeons of both Hospitals.
Both Hospitals has performed only a surgeory known as Cranioplasty – a surgeory to REUNITE THE SKULL TO BE EFFECTIVELY CONTINUE TO PROTECT THE BRAIN that has not been damaged what so ever.

Surely a shot through the brain would cause permanent physical damage which would be revealed in an Xray or MRI even in a patient who fully recovers. The truthfulness or otherwise of this claim can be easily proven even today but powerful forces seem to not want it resolved.

Hahaha… If Duminda can remember me, the fights we had down Elibank Road as kids, the times I made him run… He can’t have lost his memory!!!

I sincerely hope the Prison Officials will treat him as a normal prisoner and keep him under stricter rules…

    Cheers Hirunika…

Good. She must not only go after the Dr who covered up but she must also get together all the girls who were abused and ask the womens rights group to take up this matter. You cannot have anybody especially the people representatives abusing women the way she said they were.

Ballige putha is the person who to have shared that the verdict made by him in terms of Tsunami fund Embezzelment was no means correct, and he has to make a public aplogiy. Please check the video with a media. This [Edited out] is a migrane to me and the folk that seek peace in this nation.

Soon after Judge Sarath Ambepitiya was killed this man Sarath Silva misdirected the Police to cover up the murder. Sarath Ambepitiya’s assailant was identified by a waiter who served them with liquor at the restaurant. The man was stagerring drunk and had vomited before getting in to the vehicle that was parked close by before they escaped. Imagine someone who is drunk to the point to vomit and can not stand up proper to have killed Sarath Ambepitiya? This was a open and shut case with the required evidence nicely planted with the help of the Police. The truth is Sarath Ambepitiya had stumbled on some home truths of Sarath Silva’s involvements in crime and fearing that he will spill it out, he was killed and a known Drug peddler, Potta Noufer who was implicated. Would a sane man going to commit a murder would go drunk and vomiting? Finally the vomit also helped to pin the crime on Potta Noufer.

The more sentimental responses can be found if you follow the Facebook link. I think that we’ve got to be more balanced and far-seeing. What I have posted there appears below.

If I may digress, we can live good lives without being socially effective:

    https://www.colombotelegraph.com/index.php/precept-practice/

We discover why EvdP has written about the Hutterites only when we come to the last two paragraphs. And, of course, the author himself comments on his real reasons for writing. So, what we have to ponder is whether it is enough to express outrage and stop, or follow up consistently. And that is not always easy; nor is it always obvious how to do it. So, thinking is necessary.

“It is difficult to know where the really sincere daughter gives way to the calculating politician. Who knows, the day may come when we consider even Hirunika to be a social menace! For now, I admire her guts.

The whole point is that Duminda Silva is NOT going to be executed. That is apart from guys like me who don’t approve of capital punishment.

The chances of Sri Lanka re-introducing capital punishment are remote. Even if that happens, can a guy possibly be executed when 1 of the 3 judges did NOT find him guilty? Duminda Silva knows that, and he doesn’t feel any remorse; you can be sure of that. Yes, he will suffer prison for a few years even, may be, but on appeal he is sure to get off. Unless both this doctor fellow, and the judge are also found guilty.

So, this next step is NECESSARY. Don’t get taken in by Hirunika, the politician, but help Hirunika the advocate of social justice. Hirunika, the daughter – that is too personal for us to go in to. The strategies that she adopts are between her and her conscience/ karma. That is not for us.

What we must do, SOMEHOW, is to rid society of this monstrous neuro-surgeon and the judge who has compromised. Millions of innocents suffer silently, and unknown, owing to fellows like these. So, support what Hirunika is doing here – for practical and social reasons.”

Well done Hirunika. You have bought respect and regard to the legal system which had in the past lost all respect by the people of this country and world wide. If dr MS Wijeratne has done such a low life style report she must be dealt with, am totally with you on that. Please take action on Dr MS Wijeratne as it’s dangerous to have Dr’s behave in such a shameless manner.

There are many many other facets to this.
    1. Gota wanted him out of the country to prevent him from getting arrested
    2. He was taken at great govt expense. Who paid for it!
    3. NSB shares were inflated and govt bought brother Raynor’s shares at a high price to pay Mt.Elizabeth Hospital bill! CJ Shirani Bandaranaike’s husband was trapped into this by MARA.
    4. To prevent statements from Duminda, after returning. Maheshika gave evidence that he cannot “remember”! Ananda Samarasekara was the other person who did the same!!
    5. A person who was in Mahinda’s entourage that visited Duminda (also known to the Rajapaksa’s as “Sudu Putha” said that he was playing football when they went!
    6. When Gota gave the call to Maheshika to come and do surgery, she left a child who was being operated for hydrocephalus on the table, and it was Nalin Kithulwatta an Colin Samarasinghe who saved the life! Nurses at Nawaloka know the story!
Why are these two doctors (Maheshika and Ananda Samarasekera) not prosecuted? Mainly because:Maheshi is the daughter of Mahendra Wijeratne a former UNP minister in JR’S govt.THE BROTHER IS A UNP PROVINCIAL COUNCILLOR
WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FOR IMMUNITY!! WHETHER YAHAPALANAYA OR NOT RANIL OR MY3 THE MAFIA DOES NOT ALLOW!

Ranil you better get your skates on and act on the accusations against the crooked doctor, no matter what your UNP connections are with her. Otherwise you are also implicated in the cover up. Wake up man, corruption hat is being hung on your peg, so stop protecting crooks and Rajapakshas. Crooks are crooks no matter what color they are Blue, Green or Red!

whoever whatever being said and done, they have to go against the mentioned doctors.

You will see it in the near future. THe current adminstiration is made even FCID ones will have to face it if irregularities would be found in them.:::::: that will be the case.

Even president of the days has been highly criticised.. what sinahalya used to say, Kathikawatha is in progress for anything and everything as I see it being out of the country.
