Maithri Threatens Joint Opposition MPs

President Maithripala Sirisena who summoned an urgent meeting last evening with MPs of the joint opposition declared that if any member continues to contravene party decisions and work in an unacceptable manner, they will be removed from their organization positions.

Maithripala SirisenaSpeaking to the MPs further, Sirisena had said that there was going to be a shuffle within the party before the next local elections, and if any member of the SLFP was found working against the party, then they will be removed from their organization positions and replaced with new members.

Sirisena had however not explicitly opposed the Joint Opposition mooted Pada Yatra which is set to kick off on July 28 from Kandy and reach Colombo on August 1. But members of the Joint Opposition said that the sudden meeting was an indirect warning to them. However despite Sirisena’s warning, the anti-government walk is expected to go ahead.

oIt is all he knows well how the majority grass eaters would react. Having faced it in the lanken politics, president woul dnot want to achieve them within shorter perriod of time – as a teenage politician would do, but with COLLECTED evidence being shapped and ready by FCID, almost anyone standing on the side of Jooin destruction can be charged … with a record of their ill practices.

No doubt, thi sis the way, Had he handled this as it was the case under Previous regime, Mr Sirisena woul dhave been rejeted by People… that would do anything and everything on behalf of MR et al…. all these not knowing the realities.

Its time the President gets tough and sets some discipline in the party
    and the country in general.

If MaRa was in a similar position it would have been a different story!

Defeated King Kong would have broken the back of JO.

Leading JO monkeys would have been treated to serious spanking inside Temple Trees itself. From which they would not have emereged alive at times.

Others would have mysteriously disappeared in White Vans.

A few would have been murdered, in broad daylight, in the middle of our cities to teach the JO a lesson. Like Welikada Prison massacre, LW or Tajudeen.

      Cheers!

      PS:
GOSL should expedite the massive coruption scandals in the pipeline. “Pada Yatra” would then break up at Welikada Prison. Their destination anyway.

Rubbish. MARA never resorted to violence when it comes to these matters. He cleverly offered bribes, blackmailed a few to change sides. I recon Sirisena should do the same. If he hadn’t learn the art after all these years with MARA that’s his fault.

Nuwan, yours must be taken only as a joke.

If Sirisena did what MARA did, he would NOT be Sirisena.

When all is said and done, Sirisena could be looked up to, as a benevolent, patient and cultured man, worthy of being called the leader of our nation.

How did he get money to educate his daughter(LLB ) and son (dropped out ) in England? Is he aping the westernized feudal rulers? Why is civil society and anti corruption people silent? Why can’t Sirisena declare his assets? All these sinhala gamey buth billas who go around claiming Sinhala rural identities desperately want their children to speak English and ape the west in dress and eating but they’ll never learn western values like hardwork, respect of personal space, private property rights, accountability. Sad sad sad. What frauds like Banda in reverse. They want to copy Banda in reverse

The President and his family come from a very rich farming family and have been rich throughout their lives. Either you are not in Sri Lanka or just come back from Mars.

tinpotjihadi, what is the grouse you have with the President’s children?

Compare them with the Rajapakse children. Just compare.

“Why cant Sirisena declare his assets?”

Did you EVER ask that of Rajapakse? Had you done so, you might have earned greater respect.

I cannot say about earning the respect, but if he asked that then of MR, he’d have been 6 ft under by now. Nuwan, do nothing, just be thankful, you can even talk like this freely, online.

This guy is like Judas who betrayed Jesus. Judas drank wine and ate bread with Jesus and betrayed Jesus. Sira ate Aappa and drank plain tea and betrayed MR. He is one of the persons who signed the nomination of MR. When Chawra Regina picked Sira as the common candidate, he got so greedy for power and back stabbed MR. He was fooled by Chawra Regina and RaBlue using the slogan ‘Yaha Palanaya’. Those two did not care two hoots for ‘Yaha Palanaya’. What is going on now provides ample evidences to support that. RaBlue has turned MY3 to a puppet. He won from the votes of UNP, Tamils, Moors and a few Sinhalese. So he has no choice other than to do everything to please those who voted for him.

If he is a decent politician, should give up SLFP leadership and take a neutral stance. Actually, SLFP should take disciplinary action against this guy and kick him out. As a slave of UNP, talking about forming a SLFP government is a joke. He cannot have one foot on UNP and the other foot on SLFP. Genuine SLFP supporters do not consider MY3 as their President. For them still MR is the leader.

After the local elections in Jan 2017 this guy will put a full U turn. Mark my words.

My3 having crossed over to UNP folds by cheating his own party is now talking of discipline! He must discipline himself before he preaches to others. His party betrayal for personal reasons & gains were the real reasons for cross over as again revealed at yesterdays Moraghakanda speech. It is clear from 1.5 years of this governnent that this yahapalanaya was only a gimmic & slogan to deceive people. There is neither yaha nor palanaya! That is why he has no grass root support even though he grabbed power by a well engineered coup!. He is now at the receiving end of this Karama although he has limited polical power!.He is destined to suffer for the sins committed for spearheading a coup against his own party & country. People who get dipressed in this process are known to resort violence & threat is the first sign.
One wonders when he can not talk over and forgive past sins with his own party, instead of threatening and sidelining, and unite all , compromise & arrive at consensus, how can he and Ranil unite Tamils & Sinhalese thru socalled reconciliation when daily uttering & doings by this government are suspected by majority community.By pleasing & playing into the hands of minority ignoring the majority wish no government can bring about any reconcillation. They must practice Nahi Werana Werani. Forgive & Compromise & let by gones be bygones.Digging the past & accusing in revenge is not going to Nahi Werana Werani. Mythree please sit back and think yourself, what you have achieved in the last one and half years. If previous governments also did what you and Ranil are now doing, all of you would have been in jail including the Leader of Opposition & members of his party & JVP. No politician big or small would have been spared. No offocial big or small would have been spared. Who is the person who has not abused his official vehicle use as archaic rules in E code can not be practice in reality if one has to get things moving. Think of the country that has been liberated from clutches of LTTE terrorists, at the sacrifice of personal freedom of the leaders of previous regime. If not for that all your talk on Yahapalanaya has no meaning. Why do not you say this to Ranil & TNA who supported LTTE then. Ask all of them to forgive for the past & rise from ashes to unite. Forgive is the word & stop this witch hunt. If not what is your exit strategy Mr President.

What is “paatha yathira”? Apologize is those are Tamil words. Sri Lankan image is going to suffer if Sri Lankan people elect a leader who does not listen to West. We are friends as long as you do what we tell you and then you can do whatever you want.

It’s a procession of people usually walk to the capital in protest of government. It was inspired by Mao’s long march. Mahinda did the same against Premadasa government, in a period that we saw dead bodies on burning tires, mass dissapearances, abductions and destruction of public and private property in….guess what…the South. (Don’t worry that era is forgotten and forgiven. The accountability does not apply below Jaffna centered radio horizon.)

MS cannot count on UNP support and he needs the SLFP. He knows that the strength of MR in SLFP is still formidable.
MS does not want to be a puppet in the hands of the UNP the way CP de Silva and other leading SLFP members who joined the UNP ended up.
He can shoot himself in his foot by acting to please UNP supporters who want to use him to destroy the SLFP..

Let us face the reality that any UNP-SLFP coexistence is a fake. SLFP grassroots supporters know it well.

Bodhi Sira is trying to have the cake and eat it too.

Even Catholic Cardinal in Colombo said the other day that Yahapalana Govt of Bodhi Sira and Batalanada Ranil can not just expunge the Religion from the Constitution.

He emphasized that Srilanka has been a majority Sinhala Buddhist country for a long time and one can not just change its culture and heritage just like that.

On the same platform was the new Chief Monk of the Asgiriya Chapter,

The Monk was more forceful and made it clear that there is no way the clergy will allow this Government to dance to the tunes of the West.

Bodhi Sira took half the SLFP leeches and hired them to Batalanada Ranil.

Now Batalanada is working O/T to change the Constitution and expunge the Religion and make it a full religion free country,

Inhabitants are up in Arms all over the nation because their living standards have been destroyed.

Most these people are not even aware of the main agenda of the Yahapalana Government, where Bodhi Sira is busy helping Batalanada to implement the Western Agenda and the UN demands which the UNP was hired to implement.

So Bodhi Sira is at it every which way possible, to keep the Dalits in the dark.

And allow Batalanada and his Elite , Anglican faction to use the SLFP hire labour to change the Sinhala Buddhist culture, Religion and Sinhala Sinhala Buddhist influence in country.

This a good decision as responsible party. However , no one should interfere with this walk as it is a non violent way of protest.Every citizen of the country has a right to protest in a democratic environment. That why we change the regime in 2015 by a silent-revolution. When we talk about a silent revolution in as far as 2007- 2008 MR , Gota and everyone laugh at us.Those days we haven’t seen these big wigs at our side. Now they also should enjoy the freedom which prevails in the country. They have a legitimate right to do that. No oone including President, PM or any of their supporters, security units or political thugs should not interfere their march for good reasons. Let people decide their fate.

I wonder what happened to that “native vedda”.. i was hoping he’d comment something here. I’m lead to believe he may have been involved in that Jafna student attack, cos he disappeared from the CT somewhere near that time lol. In any case, the will of the people will be known from this. Lets see who is with and against the government. JO or not, the people needs to voice their concerns. This government has ruined the country. This would be a wake up call for them to get their shit together and save what is left of this small piece of land. They are the rulers still, so they should take matters to hand and rebuild the country. Too many excuses and too little work. The fault of having inept leaders!

Slow and steady, Prez Sirisena will get it all done, he’s a wise man, even the Canadian foreign minister on his recent visit here said to him “You are a man of wisdom, Your Excellency”
