MS-RW Mastery Of Ministerial Appointments Surpasses Rajapaksa’s: Sobhitha Thera

National Movement for Social Justice (NMSJ) Leader the Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera today reiterated his call to reduce the number of ministers in the new government calling it a massive burden on the tax paying public.

Appointing a large number of ministers is a “payoff” and a farce, a visibly agitated Sobitha Thera who was in the forefront in galvanizing the civil society movement to bring down the former regime and usher social and economic reforms said .

SobithaSeverely criticizing the move to appoint a large number of ministers for the purpose of accommodating a ‘National Government‘, the Thera said that those who criticised former President Mahinda Rajapaksa for appointing an unreasonable number of ministers was treading the same path in a shameless manner.

The so-called “National Government” the Thera said had mastered the art of appointing ministers to such an extent in a short span of time even going on to eclipse Rajapaksa.

“If this continues soon we will see all 225 parliamentarians become ministers” he added.

In the face of a large number of ministers been appointed the Thera said the 19th Amendment too has become a farce as it had specified that the government should not exceed 30 when it came to appointing cabinet ministers.

“The case put forward by the present rulers that the 19A has not specified the exact number of ministers in case of a ‘National Government’ does not hold water as they cannot use the term “National Government” as it does not have the support of all the parties in parliament” he added.

Meanwhile, according to government sources two more cabinet ministers and 5 deputy and state ministers will be appointed to further bolster the existing numbers.

So far the government has appointed 46 cabinet ministers and 40 deputy and state ministers.

National Movement for Good governance should file a case against the appointment of 90 plus Ministers in the Courts.

This is a clear case of bribery and corruption practiced by the President and Prime Minister using the flimsy excuse of Geneva where nothing will happen because US has already said so..

Sirisena is a disgusting clown. The politicians are looting Sri Lankan public and this must be stopped. Arjuna Mahendan at the Central bank is Ranil’s corrupt stooge. If the corruption and looting of the country by politicians and cronies are not stopped, Sri Lanka will end up like Greece with a massive deficit, a devastated economy with no health care or free education. Lebanon where there are protests on the streets because of massive corruption and lack of garbage collection also should be an example for what is in store for Sri Lanka with Corrupt Sirisena and Ranil’s good governance joke has gone way too far and people must go on the streets and protest against the gigantic cabinet of corrupt clowns and a the giving of bribes to politicians by the stinking President and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. This is truely a land of Sinhala Modyas!

Meanwhile the farmers who toil hard to make and HONEST living are unable to sell their produce while the corrupt tea party for the clowns in the Diyawenna parliament of uneducated morons and criminals continues..

Just as a court case against Sirisena’s SLFP national has been filed, so too a case must be brought against the Sirisena and Ranil for violating the 19th Amendment since there is NO national government without all the political parties.

Sirisena is using Geneva and Mahinda Jarapassa to whom he gave nominations to run for a seat in parliament to appoint various corrupt clowns like Lansa and Muttuhettigama, Mustapha and Nimal Siripala who has got the Ministry of Tansport.

Woe betide the general public who travel in buses and trains and desperately need improved PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM with the sleazy and corrupt clown Nimal Siripala Silva in charge of ministry of Transport. Has Ranil Wickramasinghe lost his senses to agree to M Sirisena’s corrupt demands?!

Most people are absolutely fed up with this rubbish.

I see an opportunity for Mr. Sambanthan to come down hard on this nonsense. On behalf of the helpless people.

Leader of the opposition has a unique opportunity to take the side of average Sri Lanakns in a highly visible way. Provide people the quality leadership they need.

The rest will take care of itself at the next election.

      Cheers!

        Ben Hurling

Lets forget the good governance for a moment.

How about inviting a few refugees from middle East and north Africa to settle down here, for a change?

We can wipe off our own global guilt and claim to have contributed our share of humanitarian relief.

After all Tamils, Sinhalese and Muslims are the beneficiaries of refuge they sought in the west as well as in India.

Don’t you think this island is second to none in its charitable nature?

          I fully support that thought.

We need to do our bit for the Syrians for sure. Syrian tragedy is nothing new to us. We can easily empathize with them. We have been world champions in seeking refuge all over the world.

Tables have turned somewhat now. It is time for us to start giving something back to the world. Even in a small way, if possible.

Where are the electoral beggars like Hakeem and Rishard? Who live off the Sri Lankan Muslim vote bank. Have you seen Fazl Muhammed Nizar or Latheef Farook lately?

So far their greatest examples of Islamic rule in the Gulf have done next to nothing:
Saudi Arabia (so called “holy land” my foot) – Zero refugees
          UAE – Zero refugees
          Kuwait – Zero refugees
          Qatar – Zero refugees

Above mentioned nations demand visas from traumatized Syrian refugees for entrance into their countries. I believe that is the pinnacle of both hypocrisy and cruelty at once. Then again that is nothing new for nations mentioned above.

          Cheers!

          PS:

Turkey, Jordan & Lebanon are doing their best. May God bless them.

Ever so preaching Europeans are showing off their inbred Islamophobia and other phobias now. They are busy looking for methods to halt refugees in the middle east. Rather than giving them access to Europe.

            Ben Hurling

“Saudi Arabia (so called “holy land” my foot) – Zero refugees”

Saudi Arabia now believes that its a global player. Its activities are no longer covert. It used to finance Saudi imperialism through backdoor. Maybe the rulers believe in a great Caliphate.

The wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, … was financed by the Saudis. Saudi sent its troops to Bahrain to quell uprising of the Shia (Shiatu Alī). Then they along with Qatar provided arms to Syrian opposition. Now they have decided to exert their hard power in Yemen.

Is there any Palestinian refugee camp in Saudi Arabia?

Let us make a difference. Let us welcome the refugees with open arms. After all Vijaya came here as a refugee and sought asylum?

“We sing and dance for money”. So runs a Tamil song of the fifties. We become MPs to make money. Make us Ministers to make more money. So demand MPs.

We are there to do just that, respond the President and the Prime Minister.

          0

          Guys,

Forget about the refugees for moment. Is there a country which can hire a little bit more of housemaids?

Tea price is supposed to fall. Rubber has been so. China is dried out as the Port City’s sovereignty of the land issue. If Lankave is too amendment, America may cancel the GSP+, like Europe did. We need to find some money influx for the second “Century beating” cabinet ministers to have their next 10 billions dollars to be transfered out of the country.

Thero is baba in politics. He saw seeds of Pathenium, watered and fertilized saying inventing Yahapalayana Government. He will not be able to uproot it this time.(Good idea for him is, as he can not beat it, he can joint it though.)

If the Lankve’s political heads wanted to have good governance, they should have let good people to stand in the election. They are the ones will support national government for the betterment of the country, without minister posts and other betterments for them. Then there would not have had any place for the MPs who were in the Old Royals. As a matter of fact, none of the Old Royal MPs had rejected the Old Royals until the Jan 8. It was the same case with the new King too. In fact New King wanted the Old King to stand for the election to save the corrupted SLFP gangs. If the New King was sincere, he should have stopped Old King from the election and faced the SLFP’s loss in the election to build a new team.

This National Government’s root purpose is to defeat judgment against the Old Royals. Other than Thero all others did know what was going in the Aug. 17th election.

America may not be able to do anything in the UNHRC this time. Right after the current Assistant Secretary’s visit, the retired one has been hired by New Royals for consultation. Richard Amirtage is the one helped to defeat Robert Blake’s plans, for the Old Royals. He is much senior to Nisha. He is a convective politician too. He knows to knock off Nihsa Biswal’s ideas. This action clearly tell Lankave’s New Royal are not ready to face the UNHRC in the way it has to be. They will not consent any kind of UNHRC intervention in the War Crime/Genocide inquiry. They want to drag internally for two therre years and then just swipe it under the carpet. Blake faced Thero’s and Kathirgamar’s end when he was leaving South Asia Job. Secretary Kerry and his assistant Nisha will be facing it soon.

          Congratulation for them both!

Thank God Sirisena is a one term President.
    (for whom I voted).
The disaster he will spread in the country in his 5 years will far exceed the damage done by MR in his 10.
It appears that his lowdown tactics to get a hold of control of his party – has to be paid for by the nation.
The UNP should go it alone – Chandrika managed with a 1- seat majority for 3 years.

Mahinda Rajapaksa, Mara Mara Chatu mara amana MaRa Dhushana mara mini MaRu MaRa had 2/3 since 2010.

        What did he, MaRa, do?

Consolidate his power, extended the Term and established Medamulana family Hegemony.

      Dear commando 695,

I’ve given you a thumbs up, but I’m still hopeful that Maithri will govern well. I didn’t just vote for him, I feel I persuaded many others to do so as well.

When one commits oneself to a cause, it is not easy, emotionally, to distance oneself from the people you were with. Of course, Sobhitha Thero, has very much more right, obviously, to grumble, that I.

Yes, some of these appointments are incredibly bad! And that is quite apart from far, far, exceeding the number of parasites promised.

If Sobhitha Thera became the executive president on the 8th of January, by July the 8th the executive presidency would have been abolished and none of these problems would have arisen. Unfortunately, Ranil and Chandrika did not approve the candidacy of the Thera although many intellects made that proposal. This Buddhist Thera who has no ambitions would have been the best candidate. Now, people have to suffer for many more years under the present dictatorship which is used for his own benefits. It seems Ranil, Chandrika, Sirisena and Mahinda Rajapaksa are blackmailing each other.

Nine months have passed since the marriage was consummated. Pregnancy was confirmed during a customary pre-natal consultation and examination. Doctors have identified what looks like a five month old foetus. They have expressed concern that it is not human, but a hundred headed monster with 400 legs. The mouth is rather long like that of a crocodile and possessed of an extraordinarily capacious abdomen. It is going to be a monster. The parents, Sirisena and Ranmenika have been strongly advised to abort the foetus.

The family members are really worried, wondering what kind of monster they are going to unleash on them. I said my vote is for abortion.

Ranil has displayed his dictator like qualities once again in selecting the Cabinet. People like Dr Harsha de Silva has been fully ignored as he is outspoken and speaks some sense. He is the ideal man to put the economy right and not Ravi K. Ravi K will ruin the economy.I am sure before long Ranil will learn a lesson once gain. He is a person who cant sustain his victory. His arrogance and fear of threat from others will ruin him again. Rebellion will irrupt from within. Ranil has provided suitable environment for like minded people to get together and remove Ranil.
Ven. Sohitha is quite right in his comments. Now Ranil will say Ven. Sobitha is a traitor. A repeat of MR style of governance! Tax payers should not keep quiet. This is a day light robbery of national wealth for the betterment of few people.

People should blame D.S.Senanayaka for the current predicament of the country. Why?
He made his son Dudley the leader of UNP instead of handing it over to the more senior SWRD Bandaranayake. What did Banda do? He left the UNP and formed the SLFP in 1951. In 1956 he fooled the Sinhalese(sinhala only slogan) and became the PM. He did not do anything worthwhile to the country before he was shot dead. The remaining Banadranayakes also did not do much to the country. Specially Chandrika did two major blunders in her life. Firstly she made Mahinda Rajapaksa the SLFPs presidential candidate in 2005. Second, the biggest blunder ever was the introduction of Maitripala Sirisena as the common candidate. See what has happened to the country today. So D.S. has to take the blame for the formation of corrupt SLFP and the prevailing catastrophe.

This Monk who is so obsessed with the UNP thought Ranil will implement the Sobitha Doctrine in full to please his dayakayas among the Elite and the Anglicans in Colombo.

Even Wahabi Hakeen is now a regular attendee at Naga Vihara.

But it was not to be, because Gamaralage Sirisena had other ideas and strategies to protect his ass from not only the disgruntled real SLFP but also from Batalanda himself for the full five term.

The Monk is so depressed watching the SLFP MPS getting their jobs back, that he in fact praised Gota in front of Hakeem the other day, saying that this Yahapalana lot can’t even maintain the flower beds which Gota built in Bellanlawila.

Wonder whether the Monk knows Sira’s strategy of appointing these nincompoops to Minister posts is to hoodwink the Sinhala Bpecuddhist South and give Sambandan Federal Rule as specified by the West , and The UNP in Singapore in their MOU with the TNA…

President Rajapaksha had to go for all his evil deeds. The people voted for a great change from waste like a hundred ministries and for the appointment of good honest people as ministers. But Sirisena and Ranil have changed from what the voters voted for.
Remember that you are going against the voters who will soon rise up against you.Sirisena wants to stabilise a broken party at the expense of the country We who voted for him are disillutioned . Ranil you are the same. We will have to try you in court for not keeping with the amendment

“THEY have most certainly demonstrated that THEY have a conscience and a HUMAN FACE”

How large is their conscience, how deep is their pockets, ……… they agreed in shame to accept few refugees only after German Chancellor mother Angela Merkel gave a good bollocking and set an example.

Cameron agree to accept 20000 over 5 years, still many conditions attached, France 20000, USA 10,000 next year, …………..

UK, France, USA, Saudi, Qatar… open new fronts. If you can persuade them to stop this practice of poking their nose everywhere there wouldn’t be refugee crisis at this scale.

A 13 year Syrian refugee aptly said please stop the war we will go back to our country. There shouldn’t be wars in the first place.

      All strategies end in tears.
