My Sisters Are Forcing Me To Retire From Politics, I Will Resign In Three Months: MR Tells MS

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa who met President Maithripala Sirisena at the President’s house three days ago, informed him that he will be quitting politics for good in the next three months, as his two sisters have advised him to do so, Colombo Telegraph reliably learns.

However on the pretext of naming his sisters Preethi and Gandhini’s demands, the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s modus operandi is to seek protection from current President Maithripala Sirisena for himself and that of his sons and siblings a source close to Champika Ranawaka told Colombo Telegraph.

The FCID and the Bribery Commission resumed their hunt on members of the former Rajapaksa regime the day following the general elections for the acts of abuse of power, forgery, murder, fraud, corruption and malpractices during their rule of self reigned power.

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry also grilled the former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa for over five hours last Monday, over allegations of misusing state funds and using personnel of the state-owned security firm, Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Limited (RALL) for the presidential election campaign.

Gotabaya Rajapaksa had blurted that his older brother’s actions and continued attempts at clinging onto power is endangering himself and that of his sons Namal and Yoshitha.

“The Rajapksa’s openly swindled and ran the country in a true mafia style family operation and there is no way that they are going to get away from this” a source close to Chandrika Kumaratunga went on to tell Colombo Telegraph.

” ….will be quitting politics for good in the next three months, as his two sisters have advised him to do so …”

What an excuse. Doesn’t the mighty incarnation of Dutugamunu has a mind of his own? I wonder if they advised him when he was ruling the country.

No deals. Govt should continue with all investigations including Tajudeen’s. MR too, wanted to continue the murder investiation as stated in his election campaign. His respectful retirement was ruined by Wimal,Vasudeva, Dinesh and SLFP’ers in Brib comm/FCID/CID and COI queue.

    Mahinda,
People said eight months before. You didn’t listen. You never used your common sense. You listened to Weerawanse & Gammanvilla. I now doubt it is a plaaned coup by them to put and your brothers & you permanantly in the jail. They understood you very well. They knew you are so greedy. They will survive and they might go back to their original places.

Why did not his wise sisters stop him from killing so many people and ransacking the country? Did they profit from his misdeeds?

First to profit was Gandhini – from Tsunami funds.

Even before the election this had been told.

IF he won’t be the prime minister he would resign.

IF he were the prime minister, he would organize to impeach the president and prime minister to become the president.

Mahinda’s brothers advised him, and it was not enough.

His wife and children advised him, and he is in trouble.

His sisters are advising him, now.

When are you, Mahinda, going to be a man enough to take your own decision?

    Mahintha:

You can run but you cant hide. You will face your day of reckoning. For all the pain you inflicted on others I hope your Children pay for your sins in front of your own eyes. If your sisters had any decency they should disown you and hang you out to dry.

This Joker never expected to loose the Presidential Election. The CRIMES (corruption, intimidation, threat, assault, disappearances and murder) he committed during his family rule of the Nation, he knew very well that he cannot survive without absolute power and control of our Nation. This is why he amended the constitution to remain in power for ever and went for a third term. Unfortunately the Joker lost and all attempts to rig the results or stay in power by force failed. This is when he lost control of himself and started acting weird and crazy not worthy of a Ex. President of a Nation. He strongly believed the only way he could save himself, immediate & extended families and the criminals who served them was some how to capture the power by misleading the citizens of the Nation. However now he has realized that the majority citizens are not uneducated buffalos to listen or trust him.

Why take three months and not now. There is some sinister move behind this as there is still a chance that UNP/SLFP govt. could split due infighting for lucrative ministries and possible that there could be
no confidence motions as well, if JVP & TNA not kept happy and they decide to vote against the govt. Many things can happen within the next three months as people ,underground working furiously to cause divisions in the parties and knowing who MR is, he will wait patiently until then for his last chance to grab power. The three months grace period is a ploy to calm down govt. action against his siblings, sons and extended family.

The president has become unpredictable these days and unable to fathom his thinking . He wants good governance, run by clean people and at the same time, wants tainted SLFP’ers given portfolios in the govt. He has offered a diplomatic position to a cricketer, who could be a good sports ambassador for the country, but for diplomatic position, he lacks experience in international politics, like MR. promoted a private in the army to the position of an officer, over looking his training, for winning a game of cricket for the country, and he no more plays for the national side. See no difference between the two, past and the present presidents.

Presidents of many countries were misled and let down by their closest kith and kin and by those surrounding him in the disguise of loyalty for their own gains.
MR has been let down badly due to his own folly and failure to observe and listen to the voice of the people. There were more wrongs than rights during his last years in power. He lost the Presidential election and it was a wake up call for him to quit politics and return to a retired life. But greed put him where he should not have been. He knew what power means and he was seeking it at any cost. knowing the pulse of the average and foolish Sri Lankans, he contested looking for a miracle to salvage him from the sinking boat that he was in and if he won, probably sweep all allegations against him and his cronies under the carpet. He has failed and sadly he and his cronies will have to face ALL the allegations framed against them.

Recent great leaders who fell from grace are Zainul Abedin of Tunisia, Gaddafi
of Libya, Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, Saleh of Yemen and Saddam Hussein of Iraq.
All these leaders fell due to peoples power but fortunately there was no such thing in Sri Lanka. In spite of the hard times of the past the people of Sri Lanka are calm and peaceful. Let us Sri Lankans put our hands together and pray for a peaceful and prosperous nation.

Had he made this decision on 8th of January, he would have gone with some sympathy from the people but he has to leave with the ‘thappu berey’ ‘thannanay na thannanayy na!’ I wonder whether this will help him to escape the charges he has to face. Weerawansage lanuwa kewa neda!

What a bloody loser the fellow is! Is this not what the electors told him in no uncertain manner in January and reaffirmed just recently? He is insulting the electorate by saying he is listening to his sisters while he has chosen to ignore the voice of the voter. And what about his siblings and his spouse and his off-spring, what did they have to say? And if MR wants to go, why should he hang around for three months; why does he not go straightaway? After the almost absolute power he wielded as President why on earth would he want to find himself even for three months reduced to an ineffective and impotent eunuch on the backbench?

Please do us a favour. We won’t ask you to stay more than you need do. Please go now. That will be for the common benefit, and you will take with you our best wishes for a happy retirement. We wish you well.

I believe that there is a deal cut between MR and Ranil. The petitions against Cabraal and Arjun Mahemdran and another has abruptly been withdrawn! MR’s comment a day ago that Ranil is not a person who looks for revenge is a total about turn from what he said before the elections. This was said with the view of Ranil being lenient on him and the family and not to be called before the FCID. I hope they will still be called to explain the ill gotten wealth that our children has to pay in the future for decades.

If our President and Prime Minister believe in good governes, they should not make
any promises or allowances to save MR from punishment for all the wrong doings
during his reign. Let the law decides, and if they interfere, it will show the
degree of our two leaders honesty.
