Neither Crowds Nor Votes: Re-Booting The Opposition

By Dayan Jayatilleka –

Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka

Karl Marx once remarked that the incredible flatness of present day bourgeois society was best evidenced by the height of its greatest intellects.  He was referring to Jeremy Bentham. In a similar vein one may well observe that the incredible diminution of the strength and status of the present day United National Party is best evidenced by the only person to write under his or her name in defence of the party’s present leadership and performance, namely the tattered if truculent Trotskyist, Dr Vickremabahu Karunaratne  (‘August 14 “Force for Unity” Opposition Protest which Mobilised Thousands of People Against a Fascist Type Govt was a Great Success).

He makes three points in defence of Mr Wickremesinghe and the UNP’s performance at the recent rally in Fort.

Firstly, the JVP and FSP didn’t decline to join because the optics of demonstrating under Mr Wickremesinghe’s leadership or even alongside him were wrong but because the JVP and FSP were opposed to the LLRC report and the 13th amendment, the defence of which was part of the platform of the joint Opposition.

Secondly, if the Fort rally were indeed unsuccessful, then Sajith Premadasa and Karu Jayasuriya were as responsible as Ranil Wickremesinghe since they were present, active and vocal on the occasion.

Thirdly, the numbers were adequate and the rally was in fact a success in the face of repression and impossible odds.

Now the very first argument is, to put it charitably, inaccurate. To put it less charitably it is at least partially untrue.  The rally in the Fort was NOT about the LLRC report or the 13th amendment. The LLRC report comes in only as part of the ten point program of the so-called Oppositional Unity platform which is to be signed on Thursday August 22nd.  It has no bearing on the rally and therefore, logically could NOT have been the principled reason that kept the JVP and FSP away.

The Fort rally was entirely to do with Governmental repression, the Weliweriya –Rathupaswela killings and the need “to overthrow the Rajapaksa tyranny”.  Though the last slogan was ill-timed, premature, way over the top and out of tune with the mass sentiment and mood– even a little corny (and I had expressed my views on this to a journalist sympathetic to the rally who sent me the flyer) — one would have thought that neither the JVP nor the FSP would have an insuperable problem with that agenda.

Thus the reason –whatever it may be –for the absence of both the JVP and the FSP has to be sought elsewhere, and certainly not in their opposition to the LLRC report!

The second point made by Dr Vickrembahu Karunaratne is support of the UNP’s current leadership is that if the rally were unsuccessful, then Karu and Sajith are also responsible since they were active participants.  This is truly pathetic argumentation. It is well known that Karu and Sajith have been marginalized within the party, even from the UNP’s nomination process and election campaign for the provincial councils. Reports in the mainstream (anti-government) newspapers have clearly identified those responsible for the organization of the rally.  Karu and Sajith were not among the names mentioned.

The third argument is that under the circumstances, the rally was a success. Well, not even the anti-Government, pro-UNP and usually pro-Ranil Sunday Times thought so. The Political Editor of the ST observed acerbically that:

“…a crowd of some 2,000 gathered for the protest…The organisers of the event had expected to muster a crowd of at least 5,000 from Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara areas. The lower turnout to an event led by the country’s main opposition to protest the army killings at Weliweriya on August 1 – a fortnight ago, and other burning issues affecting the people, does not speak well for the grand old party…Going by the UNP’s own estimate of mustering a 5,000 crowd, not the best for the main opposition… ends up with a turnout of only some 2,000. Senior Police officials, who do not wish to be named, concede that there had been occasions when trade union events outside the Fort Railway Station have drawn crowds much higher than this number.” (‘As Pillay comes, Govt. faces more HR issues’, ST, Aug 18, 2013)

The UNP in opposition in the 1970s, with JRJ and R. Premadasa at the helm, did not need Trotskyists with mini-parties to defend it; there were mainstream newspapers, editors, journalists, poets, singers and literary figures who did so.  Under Emergency rule and when the LSSP, including its so-called left or ‘Vaama Samasamaja’ wing were hoarding sand-filled bottles to attack the UNP Satyagrahis based on the sinister nonsense that the democratic Opposition was engaged in “a fascist-style mobilisation as in Chile to oust the progressive UF government”, the UNP was able to muster impressive demonstrations numbering many thousands, on its own, as a single party with a large mass base and strong trade union, youth and student sections. Today after 19 years of Ranil Wickremesinghe’s leadership all that is gone with the wind, leaving a garrulous leader of a tiny Trotskyist sect as his sole ideological defender in the public domain.

The public instantly recalls this flamboyantly eccentric Trotskyist as one who has been far less critical of Velupillai Prabhakaran than Mahinda Rajapaksa, was vocally on the wrong side of the war to eliminate Tiger separatism and terrorism and reunify the country, and who attends conferences overseas in the company of avowed Tamil separatist speakers and organizations. With a leader like Ranil and allies like Vickremabahu, who turn-off national audiences, the UNP doesn’t need enemies. Today, the UNP and the so-called Force for Unity can neither mobilise crowds nor votes! It is likely that the results of the provincial council elections will furnish further empirical proof of this point.

The grapevine has it that the incumbent may hope to pre-empt the electoral consequences of a Greek type economic crisis by holding Presidential elections in 2014, even in the first half (or quarter). If so, the UNP will have to decide on the morning after the Provincial Council election in a month’s time, whether or not it is going to field Ranil Wickremesinghe as candidate. The fallback formula of Ranil as party and/or Opposition leader and someone else as candidate is doomed to fail because Ranil cannot motivate and mobilize UNPers to fight a campaign and he may not wish the stand-in candidate to do well anyway. The UNP and by extension the Opposition have to be ‘re-booted’ by booting him out.

If Ranil is booted out and Sajith takes the opposition leadership, it doesn’t take much effort for UPFA to force Karu or other strong UNPers to defect to UPFA and further weaken UNP.

After the presidential system was introduced only once the president power changed the party. That one also happened in the peak times of LTTE war.

Now with 18A powers added to president it would be almost impossible to change president and the ruling party even if we have a Obama/Lee Kuan/Mahathir type of leadership at opposition.

Only way UPFA could loose the power is that they screw it up by themselves, not by opposition nor by people power.

    this is my view.

Ranil & sajith both are failed in leadership.People need another person from UNP logo.Karu or ravi can lead the party to one victory.

      Sujith,

“Only way UPFA could loose the power is that they screw it up by themselves, not by opposition nor by people power.”

Yes, very true. Only UPFA is united, all the others are divided and have their own agendas.

So it will not happen. The closest was Fonseka, and now he is a spent force.

Fonseka was dismatled by ruling party. Still he don’t have civic rights to contest elections.

Rather calling UPFA is united the correct terminology is President holding UPFA together with ex-UNPers running the UPFA and old SLFPers working as support staff.

The only way out is for all parties (including dissidents in the SLFP) to agree on a common candidate on the basis of a single-issue, namely the abolition of the executive presidency.

Totally agree. We also need to understand that while Ranil cannot win, no common candidate can win without his support. This is the bitter truth. So, all parties (UNP, SLFP dissidents, CBK, Fonseka, TNA, SLMC, Indian Tamil, JVP, FSP, Left parties) need to get together. It is easier said than done but it is not impossible.

UNPers should field dayan as their candidate. He will lead the party to victory. Or at least appoint him as an advisor because he knows how to do it. Idiot. I am absolutely sure Ranil will get more votes than the votes Fonseka polled in the last one. Mark my words dear dayan.
Every time there is a slight chance of opposition regrouping, these guys are out saying it won’t work. This is part of Rajapaksa scheme to always portray the opposition as weak and useless. The irony is that dayan will not be allowed in to this scheme by the government. He is trying hard from outside to please his former master. So that he may get another chance. Kiss my dear friend kiss.
Did dayan say recently that he was called back because he stood for the 13 A and minority right. Political clown.
The grapevine has it that you were called back because you swindled money. Is that true my dead friend? I understand that you don’t work anymore in the university. I am sure you have enough money now.

Dayan is not a politician. He will not be appropriate to lanken politics either. He can be a senior adviser to the top leadership. No doubt about that. So can Tamara and Rajiv – if leaderships would want to work with educated seniors.

These three “intellects” have been taken to the cleaners by the regime. Now, in desperation they want to be advisers for the UNP – what a joke.

Consider their record – How many of the Political Parties have they tried advising to? How many have succeded? Now, ask yoursely – should UNP really listen to this non-?sense

      A.Friend:
That is, indeed, a very interesting take on DJ! As far as the opposition and any opposition in general to the dictators that are running this country are concerned they would be well advised to be extremely careful of ANY association with this Trojan Horse. It’s a shame that they don’t do to Trojan horses what they used to do to lame racehorses: take them out in the back pasture and ………….. We’d be well rid of parasites of this kind if that was the case!

        Apochchi,

There is of course the possibility that the job DJ is pitching for, is the Governorship of the Northern Province! Then the Tamil Civil Society in Jaffna will come kneeling before MR begging to have the military chap back.

How about that for a theory :-)

What this political pandithaya (I mean dayan) does not understand is that Sri Lankans never are good at getting on to the street and protesting hard. They are little bit lazy and the weather is oppressive. But if they are really upset with the government they will use their votes. So, the point is there is no correlation between numbers on the street and the vote. This pandithaya does not understand this simple fact about Sri Lankan politics. And he is also wrong about ST. ST also works according to the dictates of the chief editor, if you know what I mean.

Although pro Ranil ST estimated 2000, it was more like 800 as reported by the other mainstream Media.

The main beneficeries of these Roll Rakapaksa Rallies, the TNA which claims total ownership of the Colombo Tamil population, which is a few hundred thousands. wasn’t even to be seen.

Then there is the second highest ethnic group in Colombo ,the Muslims, who again will be at least a couple of hundred thousands.

The anti Govt groups have been agitating these Muslims for sometime now on the back of some recalcitrant elements in the BBS and the Ravaya.

Yet, None of these two groups ,obviously haven’t shown up to support Bahu and his new found Bourgeoisie mates.

Then there are the FuTA, BASL, the other Legal groups of the ex CJ,and the Moderate Vigilantes.

These groups alone will add up to a few thousands.

Did they let the side down?.

Or, was Bahu expecting the the usual proletariet poor to give his mates a hand to do the un cool work like throwing stones and weilding sticks?.

It is a couple of weeks after the Weliveriya incident and it seems a rather belated attempt to muster an opposition show of strength. Why was no action taken at that time? Playing safe?

RW’s hypocrisy knows no bounds. When there is an election campaign in progress he goes to India to canvas for CHOGM or for what? During the impeachment he went on a honeymoon to Italy. Shameless Bugger.

    MaRa’s only headache is Ranil.
Those who have some political knowledge and thos who are within the political arena know that Ranil is not an agent of MaRa but an honest politician. Those who hate to see RW as UNP leader are either MaRa supporters for obvious reasons or those who getting support from MaRa in order to tarnish RW’s image as an agent of the regime.
RW, regretably acted dubious at various times for instant, his speeches during the CJ impeachment. many thought that he suporting the regime. No he wasnt. He respects the democratic values which is his weakness. You cannot keep a good nam down. RW will have the last laugh.

Rooster, I am in total agreement with your view. RW will have the last laugh one day very soon. See how he is in India discussing bilateral talks. He is the shadow Leader. Getting all what the UNP could not have got done with the present leadership in the Opposition. Be they establishing Private Medical Schools, Removal of Shanties overnight from the city? Land scaping the environs of Colombo spending billions while the poor man’s loaf of bread raised to Rs 65/-? Could the UNP have done these?

MR.DAYAN JAYATILLEKE HAS TRIED TO PACIFY THE POWERS THAT BE BY RIDICULING THE OPPOSITION FOR ITS ALLEGED FAILURE TO MUSTER THE EXPECTED CROWDS AFTER HE IRKED THEM WITH HIS RECENT REMARKS ABOUT THE WELIVERIYA FIASCO ( USING BRUTE FORCE TO QUELL A PEACEFUL CITIZEN’S PROTEST RESULTING IN DEATH OF INNOCENT YOUNG PERSONS ). HE QUOTES THE SUNDAY TIMES POLITICAL COLUMN WHICH IS KNOWN TO BE PANDERING VERY OFTEN TO THE REGIME AND EAGER TO FIND FAULT WITH WICKREMASINGHE AND THE UNP. THE CROWD FIGURES ARE THE WRITER’S OWN ESTIMATION AND I DO NOT THINK ANYBODY REALLY COUNTED THE NUMBER PRESENT. THE EDITOR OF THIS NEWS PAPER NEVER USES THE OPPORTUNITY AFFORDED DURING BREAKFAST WITH THE ‘ H.E ‘TO RAISE VITAL ISSUES THAT AFFECT ORDINARY PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY OR ABUSE OF POWER BY THE AUTHORITIES. THOSE WHO ACTUALLY PARTICIPATED SAW WHAT THE CROWD WAS LIKE AT THE FORT RAIL STATION PROTEST.

Well said. This is the second article where Dayan has cited the Sunday Times to justify poor turn out. The Sunday Times is not a pro UNP Paper as he points out but a pro government paper co-opted by Percy. This has been quite evident in the tone of their articles for many years. Therefore the turn out issue is bogus and a lie nicely couched behind a biased article and repeated over and over again to deceive people into believing it. This is a famous tactic AKA FOX news and the right wing noise machine of Rupert Murdock in the USA.

A crony of the Rogue government is talking about Karl Marx. Such a intelelctuial roque talking about his philosophy will make Marx turn on his grave.
Bahu may not be a succesful politician but his sincererity and intelectual calibre is much more than that of the rogues like Dayan. I had the honour of learning under him in the Lecture halls of Great peradeniya university. WHat a teacher he was. Roques like Dayan can not even hold candle to Bahu let alone criticise. People who support War crimes, crimes against humanity, rape, murder, robbery of peopels funds whether its Tsunami funds or consolidated fund or World bank funds, provide acces to poloitical murder in a foreign country like france have no rights to speak about an intellectual like Dr.Bahu

People would seriously think of electing an alternative government on the day all the democratic forces got together under a new charismatic leader( better a troika representing the three major communities) with the aim of forming a provisional government in order to introduce a new constitution that paves the way for real democracy.

In any game, in order to win a team has to plan both Offensive and defensive strategy. Ranil has not done this drawing board work to reach his goal to reach masses. First he has to organise his party as a formidable team. There’s ample you energetic players who will take up the challenge. They say the best offense is the best defense and UNP has to adopt this strategy to win elections.

Ranil first has to get his UNP team team behind him using the best palyers upfront. He should be confident using professional and tactical approach to face Rajapakses.UNP should be strong, brave and 100% confident to reach all masses in the country.

Again it’s all about marketing, advertising, promotion and sale which are involved to win election.Rally the masses behind.

The latest drunkard monk scandal shows how Rajapakses are constantly watching UNP moves all the time.

This ITN TV never broadcast anything related to UNP campaigns in the past in their TV, but was smart enough to telecast this minor incident in it. That means ITN Rajapakse crony Media is constantly watching and recording all the opposition parties moves through their spy network.

Also this monk who was arrested for drinking is a Rajapakse/ BBS planned “Setup” to sling mud at UNP, and to discredit this buddhist monk for supporting UNP. Where’s BBS Badu Balu Sena in the Weliweriya Murder Maqssacre……..very silent. BBS is Rajapakse Dictators Terrorist outfit. They both work hand in hand in all Sri Lanka’s Political, racial and communal issues along with Gota’s a spy network. Rajapakses will plan many of these sting operations in future.

It’s time UNP to plan their counter offensive strategy against Rajapakses dictatorial rule.

There’s UN Navi Pillai’s visit, Weliweriya, CJ Shirani Bandaranayake’s lawsuit trial, CHOGM, Geneva UNHRC Resolution, PC elections, Human rights violations and cost of Living are few of the Political goals that UNP have to capitalise on to get the Voters and the International community behind them to hit back at Rajapakses. All depends on how Ranil and UNP’s use these Bullets to shot at Rajapakses.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-X09-gbtyQ

Ranil has to focus on all communities, all religious groups, social segments, age group of 18 to 50,intellectual and professional communities, legal teams, International and Diaspora communities, trade unions etc, etc, to rally behind him to face Rajapakses.

Ranil has to designate his plans well to reach masses. He may have his own UNP Radio frequency network to reach masses or hire a private Radio and TV channel to reach masses. Also using Internet, web page, face book, Instagram, email, google, Youtube and flyers to reach masses.

Ranil also should plan to get more Professional and Intellectual community on board and the opposition parties to rally together to face Rajapakses.

Remember the whole UPFA is a Rajapakse one man show Band. He is the one and only showman. Therefore UNP could easily face Rajapakse Direct, face to face.

The coming weeks and months will decide Sri Lanka, Rajapakse and UNP’s future.

The opposition cannot change this regime at least for another 10 years. Some of UNP’s policy and its vision for the country is good. But On one there to take it forward as a leader.

The only possibility for the regime change is a split within PA. Of course, there are plenty of PA who do not like family rule… can see Mr Sirisena is being side-lined. Even the second bro may bring a split within PA!!! OR it could be CBK who can make this split possible.

So according to DJ there is nothing called pulling for the team or team spirit ?

If you remain in the UNP , just because you have been “marginalized” ( your opinion but not what others think….Sajith and Karu have reached the peak of their capabilities, they cannot go any further at this time)you have no responsibility to do your best to ensure that party activities are a success ?

What is pathetic is that these are the values which are driving self appointed “opinion makers” like DJ !

  • 0
    0

There is no point in critcizing Dayan J who is merely stating the obvious. His personal issues are not relevant here. Ranil Wickramasinghe was not the preferred leader of the UNP but took that office due to the series of assasinations of several acceptable and able leaders of the party. There never was any enthusiasm for Ranil’s leadership in the party and even less in the country. This happened 19 years ago. That was the begining of the end for this once large and powerful politcal institution. A man , full of himself, a know it all began to run a national institute like the UNP with a few cronies and school boy friends. Like a brahamin he is the only one who can think ! The LTTE, Sarath Silva,Sarath Fonseka, mass desertations of party men,Milinda Moragoda, Rambukwella,Dayasiri etc etc, corruption among UNP ministers including in weapon procurement ,unbroken record of electoral defeats , organizational failure, total lack of democracy in the UNP have come to represent these 19 years of a nightmare for the UNP. Even today while the provincial council elections are on the great leader is overseas either guiding the countries he is visiting or getting inspiration from them ! But the simple question is what is Ranil W ? He is a politician in a democratic system. Then for heaven sake Ranil face an election and prove that you can win! I think all those who write in his favour are well aware what the result would be if Ranil dares to take up this challenge ! Isint it a big joke to defend such a leader ?

Dayan and other [Edited out] who are coughing weighing sugar on behalf of the MARA bastards,

The essence of all your dribble and verbal diarrhea is that Ranil is not capable of mobilizing people against the regime! These filthy pigs use Fort agitation against Weliweriya massacre to showcase as a model Ranil’s falsified inability. The self-styled so called “political scientist” is spinning concoct theory after concoct theory even entangling JVP and FSP mutts making a raucous grating to desperately and in vein establish the fallacy that Ranil failed Weliveriya.

But did Ranil get failed or failed Weliveriya people? Or is it that these uneducated pigs like Dayan et al who are living in the ditches of the regime are spinning a theory of falsehoods to deflect the wrath of people against the regime and protect the regime in a subtle way? After all, Weliveriya is not Ranil’s problem. He is not responsible for any of the things that happened at Weliveriya-not only in the immediate past but since years of its operation. It is under this Rajapaksha regime and Chandrika rule that this factory has long existed, was owned and operated by the cronies and stooges of the Rajapakshas, Rajapakshas had vested interests in it-they actually owned shared of it. For the environmental, human and residential friendly operation of the factory permissions and licenses had to be obtained from Gramaseva, Pradeshiya Saba, Environmental Authority, Medical Officer of Health and other governmental institutions all of which are under the control, appendage, influence and manipulation of the regime and therefore of Rajapakshas. The majority of staff in these institutions are regime happy, war happy, racist, nationalistic, extremist and corruptible entities that would not raise a murmur against any of the corruptions, swindling, malpractices and breach of law that are being committed by the Rajapaksha elements. The majority of people around this factory were too Rajapaksha happy people who celebrated each killing of a Tamil eating Kiribath and burning fire crackers. Rajapakshas and these clueless-about-reality people cohabited and colluded against their own escape route-the opposition of the country! Their matrimony with Rajapaksha putrefaction ended and reality dawned on them when the war criminal army who hitherto used to massacre Tamils began turning their guns towards these very people who donated blood to them and invoked Pirith Blessings on them when they were fighting the “Tamil enemy”! Ungrateful bastardliness of the Sinhalese and its army is very much in showcase here where the Sinhalese Rajapaksha army killed its own citizens-one can imagine how they may have shot and massacred Tamils in the North!

The Weliveriya massacre is a problem of the affected people, the residents in the surrounding villages, a problem of civil administration institutions from Grama Seva to Environmental Authority to Parliament and President of the country, an issue of the lawlessness and corruption of the country under the Rajapaksha regime, an issue where responsible officers have obtained bribes and covered up a whole environmental catastrophe affecting the lives of generations! It is the responsibility and duty of the affected people chiefly and the whole country in general to outcry and declare war against the Rajapakshas and its war criminal army for this heinous crime not only at the apparent shooting spree but at deep profound and fundamental levels of human rights, right to live and responsibility to protect the future generations. This is not a problem for Ranil to parachute down to Weliveriya and act Spiderman which stupid buffalos in this country are used to see and enjoy cardboard hero MARA doing! But rather they must have pursued it to the very end until the regime is shattered, toppled and a new government is formed which would be tasked with meting out historical punishments against the culprits as well as the cover up agents like Dayan.

But see what is actually happening. The police and the army are sweeping everything under the Rajapaksha carpet. The media bastards are more interested in Whey Protein, BBS Parayas, Colombo Dockyard Giant Iron Horses and Chinese Miracle Projects in the country! People don’t go to Fort protest for their own cause but blame Ranil for not doing anything for them! What pathetic minds do they possess? Is it Ranil who issued permits to run the factory? Is it Ranil who inspected the factory and passed it to run among residential area year after year? Is it Ranil who obtained bribes in doing all these illegal things? Is it Ranil who dumped the obnoxious poisons into deep ground water table? Is it Ranil who transported almost imperishable contaminated poisonous solid waste and landfilled acres and acres of land with it? And when such a heinous crime of this scale and magnitude does not arouse the continued anger and persistence against the Rajapaksha cardboard heroes, how on earth does anyone expect Ranil to pump in motivation, vigor, vitality and revolt-strength into a brain dead nation like this? You are all dead, pathetic bastards! No number of Opposition Politicians can pump in life, brain and motivation to a brain dead nation! Not only JR but all the humanitarian heroes that hitherto existed all put together would not inspire these moronic bastards mislead by Dayan et al. You all have been brainwashed, conditioned, mislead and double-crossed by opportunistic [Edited out] like Dayan who have criminal personalities and souls deserving the wrath of people one day. This bloody [Edited out] Dayan was doing exactly the same thing fiddling with racist sentiments of people during his mutt buddy Premadasa era but ultimately he was reduced to his underpants and made to run around the Boralla Cemetery to save his lying soul and mouth against being beaten to death by the angry mob of his own creation.

People are pelted with one issue after the other so that they are not able to focus on one issue. And people appear to be stunned by all this and most of them have no comments about any of the things that are taking place. They all just sit and look blank! And the Rajapakshas and the bastards that are eating the leftover of them say they are ushering the Miracle of Asia here! What a morbid thought!

While everything is taking place according to some perversion project defying all laws of nature, sanity, common practice and human existence, the [Edited out] like Dayan, Mr.Harry , thiscantbhappening, Safa, K.A Sumanasekera (the pimp) spin and dribble dystopian theories directed by Rajapakshas behind the scene to completely mislead and hoodwink the ordinary masses. If these Dayan et al [Edited out] are at all serious and concerned about the welfare of the ordinary people of the country what they must do is not to write these loads and loads of Bultarian bullshit against Ranil but enter the fight against the regime hand in hand with the people, go to Weliveriya, meet the people, make them knowledgeable about their rights and deprived rights, give them legal assistance, organize awareness campaigns and rallies, raise concerns and address issues about loss of human rights and democratic space in the country, make people resist the militarization, “pimp-ization” of the police, justice system and the whole political space in the country, taking the issue of “autocratization” to international level and getting those international institutions to interfere against the criminal activities of the Rajapakshas. These and many many more things are the actions that are required from any person who claims to represent people, their opinions, their struggles, the political soul of the country and translating the political intricacies and encryptions into ordinary man’s language. But instead of doing any of those things of life saving importance this Dayan bastard et al are trying to “reboot” the UNP while they are plugging in MARA’s senile “Pen Drive” in their dick slot! It won’t work though! They would only get the boot error message “malady dick found, please consult your mommy”!!! What fucking reboot are you dribbling? What did the Rajapakshas did to the very voters who voted for Rajapakshas, donated blood to war criminal army at Weliveriya? The police, the judiciary, the politicians and the very custodians of people betrayed them all by sweeping the Weliveriya under the carpet, giving false evidence to an equally corrupt and illegal military inquiry panel-it is learned Jagath Dias the war criminal is the Chairman of it-and most of the media bastards too have betrayed the people by hiding and not talking the facts. This is the reality of the Rajapaksha land and what fucking role do you expect Ranil to play at the face of your own horrible mistakes and inactions?

    @Silva
I’m “impressed” by how Ranil has impressed you.

You follow Ranils school of opposition political thought that says: “Hope is not required…Wait, wait this will fall upon us” and every issue that happens is certainly not Ranil’s fault…its all due to the people of Weliweriya, all CJ’s fault, all this, that or the others fault as long as Ranil does not have to do anything since 1994 to date.

Since nothing is Ranils fault sit back at Cambridge place and look at Calander for next O’seas trip.
And newly minted and blinded wc members who can’t muster 5 people think this is the life !

The above Scumbag unable to meet Silva’s stated facts above, is trying hard to divert attention as Dayan et al have been doing right along to blame Ranil. What a pathetic mediocrity we have churned as educated in the country? They have the brass to blame Ranil and not utter a word against the perpetrators. Funny Logic indeed!
