Muslim hardware shop was burnt down last night in Mawanella
It is reported that a hardware shop belonging a Muslim man was set on fire last night by unidentified people in Mawanella town. Muslims in the area believe that this was done deliberately by some anti- Muslim elements. This follows series anti- Muslim attacks and anti- Muslims campaign started by BBS two years ago. These continuous attacks on Muslim properties and Muslim places of worship are aimed at destroying Muslim business and Muslims livelihood in Sri Lanka.
It is a worrying trend. This government is deliberately ignoring this anti- Muslim campaign of BBS. It has not taken any action against it. It is generally believed that government is perpetrating all these attacks behind the scene. JVP leader recently said this openly and yet, our Muslim MPs knowing or unknowing do not take any actions. They do not have courage to crossover from this ruling party and sit down with opposition as a protest.
I personally believed that ineptitude and incompetence of our politicians is one of the main reasons for this pathetic situation of Muslims today. I understand that BBS has put them in a difficult situation and yet, what is the point in sitting with this government that does not care what is happening in the country and what is point in sitting with this government that perpetrates this mayhem.
Just a week ago a Muslim shop was burned down in Aluthagama. Within a week this shop was burned down. This series of attacks started with Fashion Bug attack sometimes ago. This government has not been taking any actions against the culprits and it has encouraged these anti- Muslims trend to increase and continue. I think that this government should take responsibility to these attacks and it is failure of this government to take action that give boosting to this racist people to increase their attacks on these innocent people.
I think that government should tell public that it will compensate these loses from public money.
There is no system of insurance for small business people in Sri Lanka. Hence government should compensate these victims either through presidential fund or local government funds. Business people in Sri Lanka pay income tax and they should be compensated for that reason. That is the only way to teach a lesson to these anti-social elements.
Although these are privately own shops these thugs are destroying national wealth and properties of Sri Lanka. These people are damaging ecosystem and environment of this beautiful country. Whether you destroy the properties of Muslims or Tamils it is national wealth that you are destroying. What you are doing is not good for your country. If this trend continues this could harm Sri Lanka economy and it could affect Sri Lanka tourism industries. If this trend continues it could damage good name of Sri Lanka internationally and even it could damage Sri Lankan diplomatic relations with some Muslim countries
It should be noted here that 95% of Sinhalese are peace loving good people and this type of racist attack tarnishes good name of those 95% peace loving good people. It would be wrong to generalise these attacks and yet, there is a small numbers of anti- Muslim elements operating in Sri Lanka. It is a duty and responsibility of any responsible government to take strong action against those who perpetrate these attacks. Government officers should apply rules of law equally to all without bias and prejudice. Otherwise, what is the point of having government, police and courts in Sri Lanka?
I think that it is a moral duty and responsibility of religious leadership of this country to speak out strongly against this injustice. Of course, there have been some strong voices against BBS from Sinhalese community. Many politicians, academics, Monk and journalists from Singhalese spoke about this problem recently and they should come out with some strategies and mechanisms to completely wipe out this social cancer from Sri Lanka. This is the time to think how to build Sri Lanka not initiate conspiracies to destroy Sri Lanka. These anti-social elements are really enemies of Sri Lanka and indeed they are not patriotic Sri Lankans at all.

My dear you can expect the continuous escalation of anti Muslim acts in the months to come untill the end of the next major election. This is the only residual investment left for the government to be engaged in the absence of dividends of development to deceive the Lankan voters. These Sinhala voters of all categories appear to be very happy when the Muslims are attacked. Because they have been convinced to believe that the Buddhism is at a risk due to Muslims practicing their religion as required by their rule of religion.
The main reason for this is fortunately for the government, the people of this country are taking political decisions based on their religion race with a communal mind. This has paved the way for the government to take a huge advantage at the cost of Muslim minorities.
Unfortunately the Muslim community lacks leaders to guide them. All of them are leaders iin their community be in politics, religion or culture. Now see this recently emanated Sri Lanka Towheed Jamaath. It is a group splitted from the All Ceylon Towheed jamaat. This new group has all yougsters. They want to lead the youngsters. Their recent speech proves that the leader of that group is half baked not discern when he referred the Triple Gem as Three stones.
The BBS who made big hue and cry on this by taking it to Mahanayake Theros should have first analysed it objectively. Then they would have threw it to the jungle without talking it about even.
Because the dictionary meaning of Gem means – Great person or Great things. So it fit to the purpose. I think even the BBS Thero appears to be half baked or he deliberately took it to make an issue out of it.
So Dear Muslims, I feel sorry for the status of impunity that prevail in the government. The rulers will have to allow this situation to prevail at least till end of next january. The country is administered by the real politicains who has to see that he is reelceted in the next election. prosperity is only in this direction in a way that fully satisfied the MAHAJATHIYA in a very irrational way.So they will vote for the govt. as they think the buddhism and the sinhala race is at a risk of erosion and the only mesiah is this ruler.
This country will never prosper untill the people tend to take well informed decision at elections without thinking narrowly and subjectively.
Now for instance take the allegations levelled by Minister Wimal Weerawansa on the Milk powder prices. Not only that even the prices of Gas also the same. If one analyse the world market price fluctuation of the prices of milk powder, gas and petrolleum the MAHAJATHIYIA can discern about the dividends given to them by the rulers.
Any how for the minorities, their political leaders have no place in the government. So fortunately or unfortunately you have to bear with all these difficulties by giving an opportunity for the rulers to deceive the Mahajathiya once again in the name of race and religion at the next election.
The BBS version of Buddhism will so the needful to set the motion in addition to the so called now becoming opposition of Hela Urumaya and Wimal’s party

I remember NGO pundits have been persistently telling our governments to find the cause for LTTE to arise and treat it than try to annihilate it. And for almost 30 years, all most all our elected governments until Rajapakse government tried to sort out the terrorist problem the NGO’s way.
In the end, opinion by NGOs didn’t matter for LTTE was an armed terrorist outfit. BBS is not LTTE, I mean BBS do not follow LTTE tactics. So, treatment for LTTE doesn’t work for BBS.
BBS is the result of actions and behaviours by Saudi trained Wahhabi and Salafi like extremists in Sri Lanka. But neither NGOs nor Muhammadans like Rifai see it that way. Such extremists are absolutely blind for what Wahhabis and Salafis done to traditional Sufi Muslims of Sri Lanka. BBS have opened the eyes of the average man in Sri Lanka on the exponential growth of Muhammadans.
When suit to their particular analysis, extremist Muhammadans say 95% Sinhala Buddhists are good people and therefore they are against BBS. But the truth is; all most all Sinhala Buddhists and Hindus and established Christians accept that Wahhabi and Salafi like extremists in Sri Lanka are a threat to religious cohabitation. Its about time Muhammadans look at the mirror and see what’s wrong with them.

SLG is did not even make a statement related to burning of the shop in Aluthgama. No arrest no action. Our Muslim cronies in the government are busy pleasing MR.
Now this, it seems now that these kind of actions has been decentralized.
Probably regional “Greese Yaka” teams have been given a different role.
As usual police will visit the scene and record a statement, someone might accuse the owner of the shop of abusing a dog or cow.
But if you seriously look at the big picture, this is not only common to minority, what the majority have failed to realize is that this is happening to them also, but they are so engrossed on the propaganda they fail to see through the smoke.
Welikada prison, Ratupaswella, Kaduwela incidents nothing came out of any of this. IUSF students have been arrested and their is accusation of abduction, railway & health sector workers are putting up demands, crime is rampant, overall the general populace is not happy or rather they are all fed up.
The regime is basically losing the grip of control. The partial polices which was taken in relation to Law and Oder is coming back to bite them.
Provincial council MP, National MP’s Cheep Ministers, Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Monitoring Ministers and sons of all these A. holes all are busy plundering in whatever the way possible.
There is much less effort is going on to look after the welfare of the people who voted for them.
Suddenly they have realized the time has come, now the regime is having a uphill task to handle how are they going to face the next big election ?
UVA elections should give us a good indications of what the trends are (though I have much less hope), hopefully the opposition can berry their bickering and come up with a strong unified message to save this country from utter chaos.

Why are they continually attacked?
These attacks continue because no matter how many businesses were attacked Moors as a community would not take decisive actions because their leaders, no matter which political party they belong to,think only of themselves. They do not want to lose salaries, vehicles, mansions profits, foreign tours prestige and power.That is why 3 Muslim MPs of the WPC joined the government very recently.
