Nonis Says Unable To Comment But Says He Is Sure Everyone Knows What Happened

Sri Lankan High Commissioner to the UK, Chris Nonis says that although he is unable to comment on the reports that are being circulating of him being assaulted by Sajin Vass, he is sure everyone knows of what happened to him.

NonisNonis speaking to Newsfirst had made this statement and they the program’s Twitter handle updated this status a short while ago:

News1st @newsfirst_en –

“I can’t comment. I’m sure everyone knows. But I can’t comment at this stage. I’m a professional…”- Dr Nonis to #News1st

Colombo Telegraph was the first to expose the assault on Nonis by the Monitoring MP for External Affairs Sajin Vass in the presence of the Eternal Affairs Ministry Secretary Kshenuka Senwiratne and it was further revealed by Colombo Telegraph, of the immediate steps that was taken by President Rajapaksa to impose a state and private media blackout on the incident soon after his return to Colombo from New York.

Despite his attempts however the story was eventually reported in local media but all of the news reports have withheld from naming the Sajin Vass.

This is just another fight. They had a drink while enjoying dinner. Open up an argument and end up with a fight. This is not the first and the last such an incident in the human history. It could happen anywhere at any time. This is normal out of official work. But who did leak this to media? Nonis is the culprit. He tried to use this for his own benefit and get sympathy from the masses. But back fired buddy.

From this article that appeared in today’s Island it is obvious that the EAM’s cancellation of this press conference was a part of their plan of fake transparency and to buy time for another week with the hope (as it always happens) that this fizzles off in the press. The info that he is joining MR to the Vatican is another subtle message that there is no way that he will be taken to task and that all is well (again).

“UPFA MP Sajin Vass Gunawardena, who is alleged to have slapped Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner in the UK, Dr. Chris Nonis during a function in New York recently, hurriedly summoned press conference yesterday morning, but cancelled it at the eleventh hour.

An External Affairs Ministry official called The Island yesterday morning, to invite us for a media briefing to be given by Gunawardena at 9.30 am, but he said a little while later it would not be held due to the tight schedule of MP Gunawardena, who is also monitoring MP at the External Affairs Ministry.

Having profusely apologised for the inconvenience caused, the extremely courteous official explained that Gunawardena had been compelled to rush to the airport and join President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who would invite Pope Francis to visit Sri Lanka early next year. “Mr. Gunawardena will hold a press conference when he returns in about a week’s time…”

These are mere Drama and Jokes carried out by the EAM. External Affairs Ministry is run by a bunch of uneducated, uncultured and uncivilized Thugs.

Next time these Goats VISA should be terminated by relevant countries when applying for Foreign tours.

This is what happens when Monkeys, jokers, clowns and crooks run our country.

Many blame the US for allowing this to happen. They should have, under normal rules, TURNED DOWN Sajin’s application for a visa. However his criminal record was overlooked as he was a member of an official delegation to the UN. Nice loophole to work; disastrous results were waiting to happen when the catalyst scheming Kshenuka was introduced into the mix. Cry not for me Sri Lanka!
