Southern Provincial Council member M.K. Kasun and his wife were arrested by the Thalangama Police after the duo assaulted a bus driver.
Kasun is the son of notorious thug ‘Chandi Malli’ of Beliatte and a supporter of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
The incident was captured on camera by a person in a bus at the Talangama-Koswatte junction. The video shows Kasun attacking the bus driver along with his wife who is seen brandishing a pistol.
It is reported that the victim was driving a Route 177 bus that plies between Kaduwela and Kollupitiya. He had been stopped at the Talangama-Koswatte junction and assaulted.
The reason for the assault has not yet been ascertained.

But until now, not from within the country, nor even by UN, any measures were taken to find out the reason why Tamils protested against the government and provide a solution for that problem. Until 2009, no International Media was willing to bring out a single house of Tamils being bombed by the most modern war machine like Kefir or MiG. But after seeing the carnage, which was mostly cleaned bulldozed, UN SG Ban-Ki-Moon expressed surprise of never having seen devastation of that magnitude. UN engaged UNHRC to look into what happened in Lankawe. UN investigated it within two years for why did it miss all what happened in Lankawe. Lankawe, to whitewash war crime committed, engaged a commission called LLRC and was ready to crap the report. But because of that time American State Secretary Hillary Clinton pressure, Justice Minister Hakeem went with National Action Plan & met Hillary Clinton. When Hakeem’s cheating was exposed, UNHRC continued and Resolution 30/1 was adopted.

The Most affected by this strange phenomenon of the majority race is the Tamils who are on the bottom of authority of pyramid; less or not affected at all is the elite ruling class of Sinhala Buddhists. This renders that Tamils cannot live with Sinhala Buddhists under the same set of rules, because those only can provide justice to Sinhala Buddhist and those rules are not able to bring any justice to Tamils.
