Its not over. He need to face justice for what he did to the people, Nation and human rights. He is a good example for future leaders.

Priority should be given to the gruesome MURDER of Wasim Thajudeen! The girl Yasara now says that she has never met Wasim despite Wasim having identified her birth mark! BTW, where is Anura Senanayake these days??

But the man would never learn to accept it. I wonder whether the guy woudl decide to be a MP or be away from politics leaving his goons be active. However, newlyformed govt shoudl go after the frauds of the bugger, and catch him to send him for life long jail – just for his mediation in the eleimination of LTTE terror, he should be given some previledges while being kept in the prison. Law shoudl be equal to everyone of this nation.

Yes, he sought a good-bye in a bombastic manner. These words in Lankanewsweb
is more descriptive of his political career:

“The story thus ends, with Mahinda Rajapaksa the fool who though himself a king left alone with non by his side and for those who pity him and think he saved his mother (Sri Lanka) when she was drowning…… it will be wise to remember that after bringing her to the shore….He raped her.”

(One also recalls his expletive language he used on CBK over the T`phone)

“… the fool who though himself a king left alone with non by his side and for those who pity him and think he saved his mother (Sri Lanka) when she was drowning…… it will be wise to remember that after bringing her to the shore….He raped her.”

Wow! What an excellent analogy. Prentending to have saved MotherLanka from the threat of terrorism, he used his new-found popularity as an opportunity to rape and plunder her. This was a case of multiple rape becos he allowed his family members and cohorts (ably helped by Nivareddy Cabbaraala) to join in the rape. My3 and Ranil, you owe it to us, the children of MotherLanka, to go after the stolen money hidden in foreign banks and return it to us.

I appreciate the words added by Ranil after the election – that none of the parties should see it as victory or defeat but join hand to build up a new culture. I think guys like Mahindanada, Jonsten, Manushhaa nananyakara should be kept away from the system even the ruling party should work with other potential UPFA candidates in buidling the future. I have no doubt, today UNPers are really intelligent and educated to appoint anyone for the betterment of the nation. Young politicians like Senasinghe, Rosi, Harsha, Eranga et al would do thing by their hearts not being fallen to corrupt bunches, they would even leave no space others to do the job falling their party men and women being that corrupt. I love the kind of new men and women of UNP even if I then – in the premadasa era were very against UNPers.
Ranil as a very humble and patient leader together with MY3 will lead the country to a grand nation is my hope.

This time of last year, we thought we would never be able to get rid of Rajapakshes the manner they dictated their self made monarchy. But looking back the manner – people s power removed the man and et al to the manner all of alike have faced it either by Karma or through elections – is really a wonder. I never thought also consider the stupidity of the majority folks, that we would ever be able to a country be free from Rajapakshe and their goons.
Every time landing in srilanka – I had the vomiting feeling being compelled to see Rajapakshe Portrays every where you stare. But last two times, I felt very okay… not being forced to do so – simply no placards of the rulers were seen in colombo or anywhere. Two weeks ago in the country there were no such banners or waste to the manner we were forced to see prior to Janaurary 8th. Now the country is reached to a moment that we can think of a greater future.. if a better system would could guide us. No doubt, lawful govt will be there to raid anyone who would go against the law.

Actually, we need to celebrate it today- since Thakkadiya is made believe that his is not the only man to give a life to the nation. Thakkadiya controlled by Wimal Buruwanse et all have been taught a great lession by the people this time. I had fears if people would vote for them – surely, we have to see it darker. But thanks god to the ones who reacted accordingly consiering the freedom allowed to the people during the last 7 months – was no means comparable to anything before January. My3 is the saviour of the cold revolution. I always believed that no idiots will have further chance to run amok in thi scountry. TOday, pepole are more intelligent than had been before. More awareness programmes ahead of us can guide them to all progress levels. Nobody would ever feel the way Mara behaves was good, though Malinda and Dayan coughed further for the relection of Mahraja.

      Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa,

The people of Sri Lanka gave a Verdict on January 8, 2015. They did not want you as President for a Third Term.

Instead of returning to Medamulana and spending your leisure time fishing and whale watching in the vast Indian Ocean, as advised by Amarasiri, you listened to your Shills and Cronies and wanted to be Prime Minister.

You went in front of the people, and they rejected you again. The President was very clear that you will not be made Prime Minister, and the people voted for UPFA, the Party, not you.

Amarasiri strongly advises you, again, to discard your Shills and Cronies, who sent you up a “Murunga” tree for their own self-interest, and enjoy your retirement. That is the Honorable action for you to do now, and salvage whatever honor you have left.

The People are now Singing the Jaya Mangala Gatha, in Original Pali, the Victory of Buddha over MaRa and Mara-Cronies, and Victory of Common Sense over Mara and cronies deception.

This is a Battle Between Good ( MS and People) and Evil (MR-MaRa, Mara and Cronies)

Buddha had the battle with Mara, and there was the Auspicious Victory.

Maitripala Sirisena and the People battling Mahinda Rajapaksa, MaRa, Mara and his cronies, “Wahhalu” Slaves and there will be an Auspicious Victory. There was victory on August 17, 2015.

Jaya Mangala Gatha-Verses of Auspicious Victory (rare Pali version)-Buddhist Chants.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OH9kdeLEX4

      Uploaded on May 21, 2011

Based on the Book of Protection (Paritta Sutta) from the Pali canon, the Jaya Mangala Gatha is sung here in a rare recording by the Mahabodhi Society of India in original Pali. The Jaya Mangala Gatha is a chant recommended by the Buddha to destroy negativity and to generate auspiciousness. It proclaims the 8 major victories of the Buddha which are:

      1) Victory over Mara ( MarRa)
      2) Victory over the demon Alavaka (Wimal)
      3) Victory over the wild elephant Nalagiri * Udu Gamanpila)
      4) Victory over serial killer Angulimala (Gotabaya)
      5) Victory over the evil intentions of Cinca who sought to defame (Pavitra)
      6) Victory over the haughty brahmin Saccaka (Vasudeva)
      7) Victory over the serpent king Nandopananda (Susil)
      8) Victory over the false views of Brahma Baka (Yapa)

It is said that these verses if chanted with a clear and pure intention are helpful in protecting the seeker by attracting the Good around. No need to keep distributing “Sil Redi” at Temples.

The Pali pronunciation here is exemplary and difficult to find.

      English translation:

      Creating thousand hands, with weapons
armed was Mara seated on the
      trumpeting, ferocious elephant Girimekhala.
Him, together with his army, did the
Lord of Sages subdue by means of generosity and other virtues.
By its grace may joyous victory be thine.

More violent than Mara were the
      indocile, obstinate demon Alavaka, who
battled with the Buddha throughout the
      whole night.
Him, did the Lord of Sages
subdue by means of His patience and
      self-control.
By its grace may joyous victory be thine.

      Nalagiri, the mighty elephant, highly
intoxicated was raging like a forest-fire
      and was terrible as thunder-bolt.
      Sprinkling the waters of loving-kindness,
this ferocious Beast, did the Lord of
      Sages subdue.
By its grace may joyous victory be thine.

With uplifted sword, for a distance of
      three leagues, did wicked Angulimala
run. The Lord of Sages subdued him by
      His psychic powers.
By its grace may joyous victory be thine.

Her belly bound with faggots, to simulate
the bigness of pregnancy, Cinca, with
harsh words made foul accusation in the
midst of an assemblage. Her, did the
Lord of Sages subdue by His serene and
      peaceful bearing.
By its grace may Joyous victory be thine.

Haughty Saccaka, who ignored truth, was
like a banner in controversy, and his
vision was blinded by his own
      disputation. Lighting the lamp of
wisdom, Him did the Lord of Sages
      subdue.
By its grace may Joyous victory be thine.

      The wise and powerful serpent
      Nandopananda, the Noble Sage caused
to be subdued by the psychic power of
      his disciple son (Thero Moggallana).
By its grace may joyous victory be thine.

      The pure, radiant, majestic Brahma,
named Baka, whose hand was grievously
bitten by the snake of tenacious false-views,
the Lord of Sages cure with His
      medicine of wisdom.
By its grace may joyous victory be thine.

The wise one, who daily recites and
      earnestly remembers these eight verses
of joyous victory of the Budhha, will get
rid of various misfortunes and gain the
      bliss of Nirvana.

Those who opposed Sri Lanka’s war on terrorism are the ones who are happiest with the recent political victories sprung on us this year. The Western powers: The United States, Great Britain (who send their highest officials here after our freedom day in January, these people now see Sri Lanka as a safe place. Her Majesty the Queen invites the President and shakes him by the hand.

If common sense prevails let it mean that we as Sri Lankans are too proud to dance to the tunes of past Colonial Cousins. Develop, by all means, but maintain our dignity, our identity, and our cultures. We can adapt, but like the chameleon, regardless of the environment we blend in to, we stay the same inside.

The West is a corrupt, war mongering, planet destroying set of madmen, not aware of their madness, and we too have caught it. It is no longer the racist-but magnanimous civilized culture of the 1950s. It is not the culutre that we remember as Old Ceylon.

Todays West is a predator. Just from memory, look at the countries they have destroyed.

      Iraq
      Libya
      Egypt
      Yemen
      Afghanistan

They are nice people, and look great. But their is a moral madness in their culture, and sadly ’tis madness but there’s method to it.

Do not let countries with a with a mere 200 years of history try to teach 2,000 year old or 10,000 year old cultures how to live.

We know how to live, it is you who killed off your cultures and are trying to destroy ours as well.

Let common sense prevail, by all means.

Vanguard, you are right of course, but the West is a beast we have to endure or die confronting. We have been lucky or we could have gone the same way as Hawaii or Western Samoa or Puerto Rico and remain a colony indefinitely with none of the gains or be decanted like the inhabitants of Diego Garcia or Cocos Islands for the US to have a naval base. Comparatively, the British have not been too bad as they left us with a workable infrastructure that has made us one of the few richest countries per capita in South Asia. Even a powerhouse like Russia or Iran found themselves unable to confront the West – the West’s sanctions well nigh crippled them. Fortunately Rajapakse’s confrontation had not been too damaging and did not attract sanctions. Besides the corruption, Mahinda Rajapakse is an able politician. He was formerly a Human Rights activist. I hope he’d remain in Opposition as it will help for good governance.

It is true we could have ended up like Hawaii, not like Singapore. Singapore had a strong anti-western leader.

Maybe you missed CPA’s Parkiasothi’s statement ‘sometimes might is right’

So we give in to the same autocratic, undemocratic brutal suppression that Mahinda Rajapakse was accused of. Only this time the Dictator it is the Western powers, and the Boss is always right.

          Sylvia,

Please help me understand this; what has the West got to do with Sri Lanka’s quest to cleaning up the corruption-centred MR regime? What is wrong in establishing a political system that is fair based on freedom, free press, and judicial independence? Even if it is the case, as you seem to indicate, that the West wanted Sri Lanka to aspire to Good Governance, what is wrong with that?

Do you suffer from the indoctrinated paranoia among the Sinhala Buddhists that the West is anti-Sinhala? Do you think that the West is in conjunction with mighty India conspiring against the Sinhala Buddhists? What exactly that you are worried about the present political developments?

Do you want the Sinhala Buddhists to remain docile and be succumbed to unnecessary fears of their very existence? Please grow up!

Its common sense – had these countries* followed democratic norms,
destruction would not have occured eventually. Sri Lanka just turned
the tide – it is Blessed. Had people been allowed to use their Votes
democratically, the picture would have been different. It is wrong to
blame Western States when “Leaders” here* worked on hidden agendas.

In Sri Lanka frogs sometimes come in to houses to eat insects. There is a belief that when such frogs are caught and thrown out, they always land facing the house and then they immediately start hopping back to the house. This procedure repeats ad infinitum

MR has a great likeness to such frogs. We threw him out last time and he kept on hopping back. Again we catch him and threw him out in this election. I am sure that this time too he will start hopping back, towards which target, God only knows.

Perhaps, in his next life he will be born as a real frog, which will be lucky for him considering all the bad karma he has accumulated.

Food for thought for Ranil Wickramasinghe

Rajapakse failed to realize a fundamental reason for the powerful Tamil uprising that lost hundreds of thousands of precious life of youths of mother Lanka and he paid a heavy price for this monumental failure. After the war was ended Rajapakse did nothing to change the life of Tamil youth for betterment, except attempting to keep them under the iron grip.

On the other hand Ranil Wickramasinghe had witnessed how the UNP regime, in which he was a key minister crushed Sinhalese youth uprising in 1989, destroying tens of thousands of precious life.

The Reason for both uprisings were the same i.e. failure of those who rule the country to address the fundamental needs of the people and their right to lead a decent life, honoring the fundamental duties of the government as setout in the supreme law, the Constitution.

This cannot go on like this forever and the new administration should face the realities and find answers swiftly, at least giving some realistic hope for better Nation to all communities, guaranteeing equal care and treatment to all, free from exploitation of the nation.

There is no point of employing iron grip to catch youth who try to flee the country, after their dream for better life had been destroyed and deprived of by corrupt rulers and made to be disoriented. Why these youth take such a serious risk of their own life and attempt to flee the country in fishing boats?

Rajapakse who crushed the LTTE, without addressing the root cause, thought winning the war would make him the greatest. Since then he became blind with power and permitted his men to embezzle billions of foreign aids, the ‘mistake’ which he had admitted after loosing the Presidential Election. He made every citizen to be indebted hundreds of thousands of rupees to powerful nations mainly China, creating an unbearable burden to the economy with almost impossible debt repayment liability.

This country has suffered more than enough. In his election manifesto Ranil Wickramasinghe promised to generate one million jobs for the youth and better country for the youth. However, if he thinks that setting up of garment factories all over the country would be the right answer then his is seriously mistaken.

Ranil Wickramasinghe should realize that Rajapakse followed Hitler tactics, creating fear in the minds of the electorate, but he miserably failed. Wickramasinghe should learn a lesion from Rajapakse’s failures. He should not realized that he is burdened with a enormous responsibility and in the event his administration waste this great opportunity to guide the country in the right direction another fatal disaster would be inevitable.

    • 14
      4

Knowing what our politicians are like I feel that nothing much will change. Sure there will be more openness and no white vans and no attacks on minorities but Ranil will go the way of the others. He will be unpopular by mid-term and defeated by Sajith/MR/Someone Else in five years time.

The signs are already there. Ranil tries to suppress the Central Bank issue. Maithri makes his brother SLT chairman within two weeks of becoming President. The horse trading will start, corruption will continue, albeit on a smaller scale. Royalists and the westernised will dominate the political scene. Many prosecutions will not take place for political reasons.

I am glad that MR lost but it is a temporary respite. The cancer is still in the body politic.

      P Lover , Congratulations..

      Vellalalas Rule,

Ranil can’t do nothing without Sambandan from now on.

If Samnadan says jump, all Ranil will do is ask, how high ..

Has Bodhi Sira taken ” Insurance Cover” by taking Galleon Ravi to Maldives with him, as your mate, and one time Leftist Mr Poorten would say.

You know Galleon doesn’t like the Vellalas and the TNA .. Right.

Now even more so than ever before, because all Wahabis supported UNP.

You are sort of correct in a way that Ranil can’t rim the Dalits, because he has a few other problems in his new Yahapalanaya’

Give Vellalas the North and the East for the 12 TNA MPs ‘ vote.

Which will piss Baththdeen to buggery.

Can Ranil hand over the Armed Forces Commanders to the Bedouin from the UN, when Ven Rathne and Champika are breathing down Batalanda’s Ranil’s wind pipe.?.

Will Rajitha Senarathne allow Ranil to give all commissions to Ranil’s mates?.

Can Mangalan survive the next round, when Sambandan put a Federal Tax on our Pilgrims from the South, who are going to see the Chief monk of Naga Vihara and pray at the foot print of Lord Buddha?.

I I were you, I will be planning how to protect Batalanada ,not just keep hooting like UNP Dalits..

BTW, Are there Dalits in the UNP !!!!

In his election manifesto Ranil Wickramasinghe promised to generate one million jobs for the youth and better country for the youth.

Have to keep the fingers crossed for the (01)m. This could solve 50% of issues.
Then the Volkswagen manufacture. Are the vehicles for the Sri Lankans? Mmmmmmmmmmmmm… Micro will have to shut down ?

No honeymoons. It has already expended. Buckle down to work.

Samuel Jayaweera – That young politician of yours Senasinghe is a real V.A.Charlie. UNP will be better off without people like him. The country do not need Aristocratic Thugs. Thug variety, we have had enough. Senasinghe is a cheap show off.

The honest Rathu Ali Patiyas got wiped out. So, no good opposition again.
“Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
Sirisena and Ranil better memorise this and turn a new leaf or else the Yahapalanaya can turn into a Gawapalanaya soon.
We don’t need Ranil’s Rayalists for sure. It was enough with CB Governor.

Election results are not yet out. Drama being staged perfectly by the script.

The same took place in January 8th morning has taken place on the 18th morning. He was brought to election by UNP so that Tamil will not be able to demand any solution for them. The, same old, 66 years explanation will be given to IC. Village level development will be the game. Inquiry at UNHRC level will be easily dismissed as “if that takes, UPFA will not support to any constitutional change or solution”. The same way even internal inquiry will not go forward.

TNA’s performance is good but not that great. Here the Old King did not loose to New King once more, as some media claim. In fact Old Royals are firmly arc-welded with New Royals, against accountability or reconciliation.

This is not the moment for Tamils to rejoice. This is a moment to Lankave’s Royals to consolidate the Nava Dutugemeue’s muder victory against Tamils.

I hope the new government will be less corrupt and work for the people not their pockets. We have had enough of nepotism, scandals, corruption, murders, kidnappings, and dogs being flown on special flights by Sri Lankan airlines. Enough.

The people have shown faith in the new government, and I hope they will respect the people of this country by not following in the footsteps of the Rajapaksa’s. We must be united, have no animosity towards each other, and show the world that we cannot be divided. We cannot progress or prosper as a nation otherwise.

Corruption will be much less in the days to come than had been in the country during MR regime. Becaues the young men and women would not allow their colleagues to be corurpted since they themselves talk about courrption as never before. So, even Ravi OR other ministers would not be able to do so, since they have pointed at others before – now they can no means do anything corrutped. I dont like Ravi but others in the UNP, I feel they are moderate young energies. Above all the followings are my favourites

      a)Rosi Senanayaka
      b)Sujeeva Senasinghe
      c)Eranga
      d)Harsha
      e)Ranjana
      f)Harin

      and several others
Those who are seen as educated and coming from good backgrounds would do much less abusive acts.

Actually, Rajeeva Wijesinghe could become the minister of higher Educaton if he supported anti raja politics. Even Dayana Jayathilaka the pundit of the nation could become one of the good ministers to serve the nation. Latter would have to be rotten within his 4 walls to have attacked RW, CBK and anyone went against MR during the last 6 months.
Dayan Jayathilaka became the all last and worst person to have attacked decent charactors being joined to HIGHLY corrupted MARA men. Now what remains for him is to help Mara to clean and clear his overflowing toilet pits in Medamulana.

The results prove beyond dispute, that a large number of Lankans (Sinhalese mostly), will sell their Motherland to India, because they are starving to send their children to the West to study.

        BI,

Not at all. Democracy has been served. It has been served badly. We hope that our Island will be never made to suffer loss of her sovereignty and heritage (of both races).

I am in the USA out of necessity. But I am glad I am here for I see a truer picture of what the average gullible Lanka person has missed.

          Ramona,
The fact that you have to go to the U.S. to look after your “necessities” and Sri Lanka can’t fulfill them means your Motherland and her leaders have failed you. I can’t help but laugh at the irony that you’d rather save Sri Lanka’s “culture and heritage” – which doesn’t really fill the stomachs of the “average gullible Lanka person” – and go to a Western country the look after your “necessities”. If the U.S. leaders also went down the “culture and heritage” route like the previous Lankan regime you are so nostalgic about, and stoked racism, nationalism and ignored the rule of law, I very much doubt you’d be visiting there for your “necessities”.

            Thilan,

My parents left Sri Lanka when I was very young.

Leaders previous to Mahinda Rajapaksa certainly failed the people. With Rajapaksa, there was some hope of returning.

Doubt anyone’s stomach was ever starving in Sri Lanka. No, democracy proves that many of our Lankans, especially our Sinhalese, would rather sacrifice our heritage for living the Western lifestyle that even the West is trying to get away from now.

US has no culture and heritage. Culture and heritage would have endured if Native Indians were allowed to share land rights with the Whites. Sri Lanka’s culture and heritage spans 3 millennia.

          Ramona,

“I am in the USA out of necessity. But I am glad I am here for I see a truer picture of what the average gullible Lanka person has missed.”

You are in the US but harbouring paranoia of fear! Your fettered psychosis has no redemption! I think that the Sinhala Buddhists in Sri Lanka are slowly and surely being liberated from this fear psychosis and they are beginning to see the light.

You are in the US out of necessity! You are an insufferable individual who has been completely consumed by bigotry and unnecessary fear. If India were to make it their business to consume Sri Lanka who can stop? It is not their intention but she is genuinely interested in her own security and Sri Lanka needs to be cognisant of it. Sri Lanka has a lot to gain from India than India gaining from Sri Lanka!

Do you think by building a Sinhala-Buddhist centred nation you can maintain sovereignty? Your myopic outlook stinks to core. You are Western in everything who you are but ostensibly make statements to the effect that you are Sinhala Buddhist honorary citizen! You want the rural Sinhala Buddhists to remain poor while you enjoy the fruits of real democracy in the US! Please grow up!

          • 1
            4

            BI,

The “light” that the Sinhala Buddhists are slowly seeing, is a “light” that the Western world realizes is a horrifying trap. They are desperately trying to get away from that ‘light” but have no way out.

Americans are truly the ones harbouring a fear they dare not articulate too much about, because if they speak of it too much, their systems will crumble. Instead, they have to gain as many allies, in as many ways as possible, to sustain themselves. By themselves, they are gone. Partners around the globe are imperative for short term sustenance – they can think of no other way but short term.

I’m not insufferable. I never was a bigot. My comments hardly show bigotry. I uphold the Sinhala Buddhist culture (although I am not Sinhalese), because that is the majority culture and is of long heritage that has secured our Island for millennia (and will do so for another long set of millennia’s if allowed to thrive). Tami-Hindu culture would have been ideal also, if they had not ended up being impassioned of the colonial system, and later of the Western system.

Nothing wrong with gaining from India. We all came from India- North and South throughout history. Our culture is similar, but more refined. We have a unique identity away from any of the cultures of that subcontinent. But what exactly will we be gaining in moving with them in a forced artificial way? We would be gaining a distorted version of the Western system, together with their repulsive caste system that will make slaves of our masses.

We certainly will maintain sovereignty if we keep Sinhala-Buddhism the benchmark of Sri Lankan heritage. Not Anagarika Dharamapala’s version that persons like CBK and Ranil abhor (that their relatives shamefully succumbed to, and so they want to forget altogether), but a one in sharing with the fellow Tamil-Hindus. After all, Sinhala–Buddhists have already accepted much of the Tamil-Hindu culture, gods, dress, food, words and phrases, genes and expression. There is hardly any difference in the two races.

“Real democracy” in the US that you speak of, is a good thing. But the “fruits” of this “real democracy” can only come with ultra-capitalism. In US capitalism is superfluous and insubstantial, and is of no solid base. It lacks character and charm. However, successive governments are trying to convert the system to a more “in-house” socialistic one for the sake of posterity.

            I am not a Sinhala-Buddhist (but a recent convert to Buddhism, Sinhala–style).

Sinhala-Buddhists can live very well with capitalism, if Sri Lanka has the robust system of taxation that the West has. But No! Taxing those that make money off the toil of the masses has been found to be a very elusive thing in Sri Lanka- we are shamefully too selfish and greedy to be taxed. Hence the necessity of a land bridge (or a port city).

Taxation in the US, helps me and many others to live modest lifestyles, compared to much of the grandeur of the Lankan elites, and those in Sri Lanka who see it no other way other than to aspire for Lankan-elitism. Hence the necessity of selling ourselves to India and the West at the expense of our identity, culture and heritage.

US sees me a freedom loving, law abiding, truthful and faithful person. They thrive on innovation from newer and differing ideas. They thrive on freedom of expression. They will not succeed otherwise. They must be looking at persons like you and saying ,” Oh god! Not another one of those who desire to ape us…….but never mind, let’s use him.”

        Sam,

Oh god , Yes! I will climb to the top of Siripada and shout out : “Ranil is actually good!”

Whether Ranil has the courage to implement a robust tax-scheme(and other forms of Yahapalanaya) to prevent a foreign take-over is yet to be seen.

But we all know that a land bridge to India and a Western megapolis via Indian, US and other Western loans in imminent, and a sale of our good Island to these avaricious powers. I would have then preferred Rajapaksa and his seeming faults and his liaison with China.

            Ranjan,

America is not Tamil Eelam. Here people welcome freedom of expression without getting emotional Tamil-Hindi-film style. We don’t sit worshiping ideals. We are pragmatic (pragmatic ideals we acknowledge).

Information technology and industry is not culture. It is job-creation because they destroyed Native American land, and had to do something else.

American age of dating has created promiscuity. Suit and tie is something that colonists taught us. Previously it was national dress and arranged marriages without American dollars to make them marry to pay off US debts.

American tax-system is good, but became rooted in their culture after they learned how the Native Indians operated their culture.

@Ramona Therese, first let me make this very clear to you. Buddhism is a way of life NOT A RELIGION OR FAITH. Buddha never called himself GOD. He was indeed a great human, but majority of the people who follow his teachings do not practice what he stated or did. You are quite messed up. You need help and Burning Issue appears to be an intelligent person. Ask him, he might find you a good doctor to cure your mental illness, who knows he himself might be a doctor and give you some free medication.

You adopt the same policy to ur children also. Time is changed. Be prepare your last days in the Prison bed or in the Gallows.
