Sai Baba’s Arabic-Islamic Flavour

A “Prashanthi” pilgrimage by the Region 94 of the Sai Organisation comprising the countries from Middle East and Gulf has enveloped Prasanthi Nilayam with Islamic Fervor. Devotees from Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey and United Arab Emirates, provided an Arabic flavour in Prasanthi Nilayam.

The concert entitled ‘Sarva Dharma Swaroopa Sai‘  exalted the five cardinal human values –
Sathya (Truth), Dharma (Righteousness), Shanti (Peace), Prema (Love), and Ahimsa (Non-Violence) which Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba embodied.
The programme consisted of 6 Arabic songs followed by Bhajans. All the participants were blessed with clothes.Special prasadam consisting of dry fruits and nuts along with a photograph of the Sanctum Sanctorum and a quotation of Baba was distributed to the assembly.
The group have been blessed with the opportunity of participating in Bhajan singing in Sai Kulwant Hall since 7th July 2012.

This is a fake video. Look at the way these people have wore the turbans in their heads. it does not look like Arab or Muslim people wear them rather these are done by some Hindu fanatics to say Islam is compatible with the statue worship. Any one with Arabic knowledge would know fake Language in this video. People who bow down to mud, clay, stone and cow are worried about the spread of Islam: that is why these people want to show the world Islam is compatible with these stupid rituals,. Sai Baba or Any Baba they are human beings like me and you. They are born to human beings. When he become sick to turn his Creator and why do worship him: Worship the Creators of thus universe who created all of us.

No Muslim worships Quran or even Prophet.
Worshiping Quran is against all islamic teachings. Muslims worship the All Mighty, All Sovereign , Ultimate Creator.

It could be. But there do exist (Repeat do exit) Arab nuts and mutts like those who appear on the video. Otherwise, some arabs will not beat their chests with chains until they bleed, still some will not prostate before the tombs, further some dance like demons claiming that they are sufis. This could be one of the forms. There are Sri Lankan and Indian “Muslims” who go this greedy fellow’s ashramam.

Adil, Yes this is SUFI sect, which is anti Islam, like Dead Worshipping, and in Sri Lanka they have Dewata Gaha Mosque. This is one of them. That is why Wahabism became so strong in Islamic Faith and Iran is one of the Sufi Shiat, go there, you go nuts how they worship. They are not Islam, only Islam exist is in Saudi Arabia the right and great one.

WHY DO PEOPLE WORSHIP STONES, TREES,LINGAM AND COW???????????????

MUSLIMS DO NOT WORSHIP THE QURAN .

MUSLIMS BELIEVE IN IT AS IT IS THEIR BOOK OF GUIDANCE.

WELL THAT IS THERE BUSINESS. EVERY BOOK WAS WRITTEN BY A MAN LIKE.

Please pose this question to Hindus, Buddhists, and others.

One thing that struck me most is that Hindus worship cows but in most cases men marry them.

Kissing the Hajar al-Aswad (Black Stone) is one part of the ritual. Why do the Muslim do it? I see double standard on the part of “defenders of Islamic faith”.

Only “pure” islam exist in Saudi? Please. Even though they pray 5 times a day. You should see what people there do every other time. ALl haram activities. You people need to open your eyes without blind faith of what is pure and what is not. I thought being obedient to whatever religion you follow is most pure than just abiding by silly dress codes and having a equally SILLY RELIGIOUS POLICE to check how you dress and all that rubbish. Overall every religion is pointless as it is BASED ON BLIND FAITH!

Exactly. This raises consternation as to what these Arabs and Muslims have in common with Sai Baba. Going by the looks of it, we may soon fiend some Arabs participating in the worship of Lord Buddha statue and claim it is alright to do so, since it is only a way of life. This is pure shirk and Bidhat, innovations and including associating partnership to Allah. I guess, as dum siri wrote, the world has gone mad, and we are still to see worse events that would bring to question our own beliefs and faith. The Imaan (resolve) of the Muslim Ummah needs to be strong and firm, and not be deceived by this crap.

I see consternation in your typing.

Please take note of the following:

Hinduism, language – Sanskrit, origin – India

Buddhism, language – Pali, origin – North India

Christianity, language – Latin until recently, origin – Middle East

Islam, language – Arabic, origin – Saudi Arabia

All religions which have wide following and are practiced in this island had origin in foreign lands and foreign language which I consider as imperialism by other means.

Adherent of these religions have no clue as to what had been written in these foreign languages.

It is time we invent new ways of finding inner peace within ourselves and harmony among rest of the people rather than parroting what is given to us.

Its high time we discovered our own “home grown” path to spirituality with “Southern Consensus”.

No amount of amendments would solve our search for truth.

Native Vedda, you idea that all religions you have mentioned are foreign must also be applied to languages too. But we still use it and derive benefit from it. I cannot speak for others, but Islam is a universal religion, and being foreign does not make it less acceptable, since the core teachings are the same in whatever language. The Holy Quran has been translated in over 500 dialects and languages worldwide combined, but the original Arabic text of the divine revelation itself has not been changed in any form and needs to be recited the same way by all Muslims. There is nothing new to invent to understand Islam, since inner peace can only be achieved and experienced, by a true practicing Muslim. The only wise Muslim is the one who prepares for his afterlife, whilst enjoying the benefits of his present life. – Prophet Muhammed.

Michelle, Aramaic is from Syria, now its Islam. When Jesus come back he will come down to Syria a mosque that Jacob is buried in, then he will travel from there for the last final date till devil comes. which is Isralies whom follow the one eyed devil. he will be coming from Isfahan – Iran, and Jesus will be under Islamic Flag. So that is the reason why when Jews acting Christians tried to attack Islam, islam never attack the Christians, only Jews, as Christians are close firend of Islam….. but Budhism is a Satanic, straight to the Toilet Pit… God will throw them to the Shit hole.

correction. Islam starts with Adam. If you read the Quran or Old testament you will see Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus said to worsip the One God and follow the commandments of God which is Islam.

          Islam = Judaism + Jesus + Muhammad

Modern day Saudi Arabia is where the last and final messenger of God, Prophet Muhammad was born. The Islamic Prophet Moses was born in Egypt and Prophet Jesus was Palestine and Prophet Abraham was from Iraq.

out of the 4 holy books in Islam only the Quran is Arabic. The other 3 books are in Israeli language. Please stop painting Islam as Arabic.

Muhammad is not Islam. He is part of Islam. In the Quran, God has called Islam as “the religion of Ibrahim”. Please stop associating Islam always entirely with Arabs.

The Honorable Lord Krishna: A Prophet Of Allah

By Qasim Rashid Author, ‘The Wrong Kind of Muslim’

      Posted: 08/09/2012 11:35 am

Hindus worldwide will soon observe Krishna Janmashtami, a celebration of Lord Krishna’s birth. While many recognize the differences between Islam and Hinduism, few may appreciate that according to Islamic principles and Prophet Muhammad, Lord Krishna was a true Prophet of God.

The obvious question that emerges is that if the same God sent Lord Krishna and Prophet Muhammad, why do Islam and Hinduism have notable theological differences? Simply put, Islam only argues that the original core teachings of Hinduism and Islam are the same — the unity of God and the obligation to serve mankind. Furthermore, nothing in the Quran, Sunnah or Hadith declares that Lord Krishna was not a prophet. Thus, this short article offers nine points to consider — together — that Lord Krishna is a true prophet of God, a prophet whom Muslims also revere along with their fellow Hindu neighbors.

      1. First, the Quran is the only ancient scripture that specifically mentions and praises other faiths. While the Quran mentions Jews and Christians specifically, in numerous places, likewise, it mentions Hindus in a group known as the Sabians. Sabians refer to non-Abrahamic traditions — Hindus, Buddhists, Zoroastrians, Taoists, etc. Thus, recognition of Hinduism exists in the Quran.

      2. Islam teaches six Articles of Faith. The Fourth Article of Faith is the belief in all of God’s prophets. This simple Article of Faith provides further credence to recognizing Lord Krishna as a prophet sent to the Indian subcontinent.

      3. The Quran is clear that God’s Divine guidance is not exclusive to any one people. Rather the Quran says that God sent “messengers to every people” (10:48) and “We raised among every people a messenger” (16:37). Prophet Muhammad further declared that God has sent no less than 124,000 prophets to mankind throughout history (Ibn Hanbal, Musnad, 5, 169) of which only 28 are mentioned in the Quran. None of those 28 prophets are mentioned as being sent to the Indian subcontinent. Thus, it is perfectly reasonable that Lord Krishna is one of the many prophets God sent with His Divine message.

      4. Segueing from the previous point, the Quran clearly declares, “And We sent some Messengers whom We have already mentioned to thee and some Messengers whom We have not mentioned to thee…” (4:165). Thus, to declare that Lord Krishna is not a prophet simply because the Quran does not mention him is a meritless argument.

      5. Remarkably, Prophet Muhammad declared, “There was a prophet of God in India who is dark in color and his name was Kahan [Krishna]” (History of Hamadan Dailmi Chapter Al-Kaaf). Some critics allege this is not a Sahih (authentic) hadith, and while their assessment could be valid, their conclusion that the hadith should be discarded is invalid. Basic Islamic jurisprudence holds that if a hadith does not contradict the Quran, then it may be accepted as valid. As mentioned earlier, nothing in the Quran, Sunnah or Hadith declare that Lord Krishna was not a prophet of God. Thus, Prophet Muhammad’s testimony provides clear guidance of Lord Krishna’s status in Islam — that of a prophet. In fact, a renowned early 19th century Muslim scholar, Muhammad Qasim Nanotwi also was of the opinion that considering the evidence and this hadith, Lord Krishna was a true Prophet of God (Dharam Parchar Pg 8 & Debate Shah Jahan Pur Pg 31).

      6. Islam’s Third Article of Faith is the Belief in God’s Books. This is why Muslims revere the Injeel (Gospels) and Torah (Old Testament). Thus, it is only logical that Muslims also revere the Gita and Vedas, Hinduism’s holy scriptures from which Lord Krishna taught.

      7. Earlier I mentioned that both Islam and Hinduism teach the unity of God and service of mankind — a message both Prophet Muhammad and Lord Krishna taught. In fact, the Vedas state, “There is only one God, worship Him” (Rig Veda, 6.45.16) and “Do not worship any one beside Him” (Rig Veda 8.1.1) and also, “God is only one, not a second” (Chandogya Upanishad Ch. 6.2.1). Furthermore, countless verses in the Vedas teach the service of mankind. For example, “Oh Noble men! We do not commit violence. We do not hurt others. We do not quarrel either. We of course chant Vedas and act according to its dictates” (Rig Veda 10.134.7) and “Every man should protect the other in all respects” (Atharva 6.64.1). Again, while admitted theological differences exist between Islam and Hinduism today, no doubt exists that Prophet Muhammad and Lord Krishna both taught God’s unity and service to mankind.

      8. Furthermore, Lord Krishna’s scriptures clearly prophesize Prophet Muhammad’s advent in multiple places. We provide just two. Bhavisyath Purana 3:5-8 states, “A spiritual reformer will come from a foreign land (outside Bharat) with his disciples. His name will be Mahamad. He will dwell in a desert.” Likewise, “His [Mahamad’s] followers will perform circumcision. They will not keep their hair in the form of Choti as the Brahmans do. They will keep beard. They will bring about a revolution. They will call with a loud voice [i.e. Adhaan]. They will eat meat of animals other than that of swine. They will attain purity through Jihad. Their civilization will be called Muslay [Muslim].” For the sake of brevity we will avoid further commentary on these verses as they speak volumes on their own. Suffice it to say, however, that these verses further support the argument that the same God who sent Prophet Muhammad, sent Lord Krishna. Earlier we provided Prophet Muhammad’s hadith validating Lord Krishna, and now we provide Lord Krishna’s holy scripture validating Prophet Muhammad. What further proof do we need that Prophet Muhammad and Lord Krishna are brothers cut from the same mold?

      9. Finally, in the Quran, God gives Prophet Muhammad the auspicious title of Khataman Nabiyeen or Seal of the Prophets (33:41). While some limit this title’s meaning to “last,” from Hadith and authentic Arabic lexicon it is clear that the true import of “Seal” is Greatness and Validation. That is, Prophet Muhammad is called not only the greatest prophet, but also the Validation of all prophets. Thus, it makes perfect sense why Prophet Muhammad specifically called Lord Krishna a Prophet — part of his purpose in coming was to declare to the world that God did not abandon any people. Rather, God sent His guidance and prophets to all people. In doing so, Prophet Muhammad validated Lord Krishna’s truthfulness — something no prophet of any faith outside of Islam has done. Thus, as human beings we must honor and revere all those prophets because the same God sent each of them — Lord Krishna being no exception.

In short, Prophet Lord Krishna was a noble, righteous, beloved one of God. Far from theological division, he is a source of unity and accord between Hindus and Muslims.

@Native Vedda, Let any great writer write anything great about whom they fancy to be great, but (unfortunately) the only acceptable Prophets to us Muslims are 25 names of Prophets revealed to us in the Holy Quran by God Himself. Everything else is pure conjecture. Read the best book of all books The Holy Quran, to discover if your Prophet is mentioned by name, and if so, all Muslims will accept and believe him to be worthy of Prophethood.

Very true! That is the beauty of science. Before religion claimed the earth was flat! But now what. Science proved evolution where religion said god created man and woman! With science we are able to open our minds. We humans are just part of this small speck of a universe. The question of another race, another species is always a possibility.

It’s pretty simple if these people are beveling, worshiping or if they are having iota of hope of getting anything out of their attendance in these rituals, then the moment that happens he/she is not a muslim. so just because they wear the traditional arba dress or hijab they cannot be counted as muslims. Islam is very strict when it comes to oneness of God.

Look at the picture a right minded muslim will not do such an act.

Why do the Muslims perform rituals during their prayer meetings or on their own?

“Islam is very strict when it comes to oneness of God.”

If that is the case, is Muslim god completely different from that of Hindu, Christian and other gods?

Then At-Tirmidhi said, “And this is the most correct.”

Have some Muslims become followers of Sai Baba or has Sai Baba become a Muslim?

Sathya Sai Baba preached the Unity of Faith which is summarised as follows.

“All faiths are inter-related and mutually indebted to each other for the principles they teach, and the disciplines they recommended. The Vedic Religion was the first in time; Buddhism which appeared about 2,500 years ago, was its son; Christianity, which was influenced much by the Orient was its grandson. And Islam, which has the Prophets of Christianity as its base was like the great-grandson. All have Love as the fundamental discipline of the mind, in order to chasten it and merge man with the Divine”. SSS VOL VII B Chap 15 p 113.

There is only one caste – the caste of Humanity.

There is only one religion – the religion of Love.

There is only one language – the language of the Heart.

There is only one God – He is Omnipresent.

There is only one law – the law of Dharma”.

“Let the different faiths exist, let them flourish, let the glory of God be sung in all the languages, in a variety of tunes that should be the ideal. Respect the differences between the faiths and recognise them as valid as far as they do not extinguish the flame of Unity.”

So these people may not neccesarily be Muslims although they wear Jubba and Hijab. There is no confusion in Islam about the Unity of Allah and no true Muslim will bow before any mortal or object.

The teachings of Sai Baba reflects the origins of his movement and links to Islam.

Sai Baba of Shirdi (unknown – October 15, 1918), also known as Shirdi Sai Baba, was a Muslim pir, yogi, and fakir who is regarded by his devotees as a saint.

The name “Sai” was given to him upon his arrival at Shirdi, a town in the west Indian state of Maharashtra. Shirdi Sai Baba remains a very popular saint, especially in India, and is worshiped by people around the world. He taught a moral code of love, forgiveness, helping others, charity, contentment, inner peace, and devotion to God and guru. He gave no distinction based on religion or caste.

Shirdi Sai Baba’s teaching combined elements of Hinduism and Islam: he gave the Hindu name Dwarakamayi to the mosque he lived in, practiced Muslim rituals, taught using words and figures that drew from both traditions, and was buried in Shirdi. One of his well known epigrams, “Sabka Malik Ek” (“One God governs all”), is associated with Islam and Sufism. He also said “Trust in me and your prayer shall be answered”. He always uttered “Allah Malik” (“God is King”).

In 1943, Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi the latter claimed to be the reincarnation of the Shirdi saint. That sensational claim facilitated the rise to fame of the young Sathyanarayana Raju, alias Sathya Sai Baba. Born in or near the village of Puttaparthi, in Andhra Pradesh (and officially born in 1926), the putative successor appropriated the name of the Shirdi saint, an event which has not been viewed with favour by the devotees of Shirdi Sai. The Andhra celebrity subsequently claimed and elaborated the prerogative of avatarhood, meaning the role of a divine incarnation.

From the way the “qathra” is worn one can say none of them are Arab, but wannabe businessmen working in the Gulf!

If as claimed above by those proponents of Islam, that Islam started with the creation of Adam and Adam and Eve together in their life time could not have produced more than twenty five offspring for them to multiply to the present numbers in the world population, forgetting the issue of incest to begin with, I wonder why only Islam did not survive but man went on to find many other Religions since. Besides there have been that number of languages since and many are dead including the ones that were in use then. It is said that God spoke to Adam. Could someone enlighten the readership what was the language they spoke? If the Koran is God’s message why did man have to write it? God having spoken to Adam, he could have given the script of the Koran to Adam himself. But what we read in History is that man did not have a Lingua Franca to communicate for a long time. Then it took another length of time for man to inscribe on Stone and languages to develop. The writing material of paper, pens and pencils used to compile the Koran were recent discoveries compared to the time God is supposed to have created his first artifact Adam. We can argue till the cows come home but there is nothing significant to prove the theory of Islam/Christianity of a God being responsible for Humans and this limitless Space as there are many inconsistencies that can not be proved easily but could be denied easily.

Were Adam and Eve Muslims or Chrtistians.

If so, why they allowed other religions to appear on Earth ?

Gamini we haven’ t seen you for some time and it is nice to read your contributions in this forum. Trying to disprove religion and to convince its falsity is an exercise recurring from time immemorial. Realizing its futility is something that man can never come to terms with. On one hand we have Richard Dawkins, the atheist who requires scientific proof for the existence of God, and in another the likes of Pamela Geller, Geert Wilders, and our own comedy twins Lester and Leela ( of Lee Potter, ill-fame) who are sworn Islamaphobes on whom Rhyme or Reason will not pervade their thick skulls in their pursuit of Islaam bashing. There is still another set like Lesley Hazleton, a Jewish agnostic, who acknowledges the positive impact of Islam though not a believer in it. I like to categorize you with Lesley and I sincerely hope that my conclusion is correct. I will try to answer to the best of my ability, knowing well that I am no scholar of Islam, but a humble student of religion with an ocean separating me from attainments of our religious scholars!

Adam and Adam and Eve together in their life time could not have produced more than twenty five offspring for them to multiply to the present numbers in the world population,

Adam as recorded in the scriptures lived to over 900 years. His progeny also lived for very long years. You must have heard the phrase ‘ as old as Methuselah’. Methuselah is purported to have lived up to 965 years! So these oldies produced more than your estimated 25 offspring, and BTW there being no BBS and Gnanasara around they must have pro created to their hearts content! As for the incest they must surely have gone by that maxim ‘necessity has no rules or laws’. Scriptural works state that all Adams offspring were twins and marriage took place between alternate twins!
I wonder why only Islam did not survive but man went on to find many other Religions since.

This is not difficult to fathom. Look at all the religions of the World. They have all split in to sects and sub sects. Buddhism followed its forerunner Hinduism and so on…

Besides there have been that number of languages since and many are dead including the ones that were in use then. It is said that God spoke to Adam.

As the population increased and communities formed moving to new pastures it is not difficult to understand the growth and death of languages. I think Sociologists must have covered this in their field of study and hence this is the proper channel to divert your query.
Another source of information is the link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_first_written_accounts

If the Koran is God’s message why did man have to write it? God having spoken to Adam, he could have given the script of the Koran to Adam himself.

Sorry, Gamini, but this statement displays complete ignorance of the basic concepts of Islam and it would take a lot of time and space to cover the full topic. Suffice it to say that Islam means total submission to the will of God. It was this simple message that Adam and the Prophets of his progeny believed in and disseminated to their followers. Each of the Prophets had their communication with God. The Psalms, the Torah and the Gospel are records of this communication albeit not with perfect preservation. The Muslims ( I refer to the followers of Prophet Muhammad) believe that whilst we believe these scriptures were of divine origin, the preservation lacked divine guarantees. Hence errors and manipulation of the text occurred tainting its purity. The Muslims have the guarantee in the Quran and even its most harsh critic of yore, Sir William Muir admits that the original text remains unchanged. I wonder if you know there are over hundred of thousands of Muslims who have memorized the full text, some as young as six years! This has been the practice from the earliest times till today! Is this not proof of its preservation?

But what we read in History is that man did not have a Lingua Franca to communicate for a long time

Gamini forget Lingua Franca, there was a period of time when MAN did not exist during the Palaeozaic and Mesozaic eras. Perhaps the following verse in the Quran refers to this period.

Has there not been over Man a long period of Time, when he was
      nothing – (not even) mentioned? S 76 V 1

      You see the Quran declares
“Soon will We show them our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things? ” S 41:V 53

And among the signs are some of mathematical amazement. The following are just a very few of these.

There 114 Chapters and a total of 6236 verses. The sum of the chapters in arithmetic series is 6555. When each chapter is added to the number of verses and separated to even and odd totals, we get an amazing result of 6555 for the odd total and 6236 for the even.

The moon occurs 28 times and this is the period of time taken for the moon to go around the earth and the time it takes to rotate.

Day occurs 365 times and month 12 times.

What I have quoted is just the tip of the Iceberg. Many more things have been found which will shake the myth that this the work of human hands.

Prophet Muhammed did not read or write. The revelations were repeated by him for the scribes to write it on leather, bones etc and were quickly committed to memory. The revelation did not come in sequence but was arranged by divine guidance over period of 23 years. Hence Muslims regard these observations as a miracle apart from the Quran’s unsurpassed literary composition.

In conclusion, I do not expect you or other agnostics to jump into the wagon of belief merely on the above facts. If by reading this you learnt something that your knowledge of Islam lacked, then I can be satisfied that I have spent this time fruitfully. To those who disdain I have only this to say “The barking of the dogs will not disturb the clouds “

‘Gamini trying to disprove religion and to convince its falsity is an exercise recurring from time immemorial.’

Jamal, my contribution was to question the authenticity, credibility and not an attempt to disprove Religion, although it may point in that direction. Religion is based on mere belief and cannot be sustained with proof. This is a FACT. Therefore something that is non-existant can not be disproved either. This is my contention. I have no qualms anyone believing in any Religion. The issue is the resultant division and conflict that leads to destruction of life and property in multi Religious societies as the world has shrunk today to a global village. Further societies then would have believed in Religions when not permitted to question and the masses being mostly illiterate compared to today’s society. In comparison with the growth of Education and the thirst for Knowledge man has developed a better understanding of his surroundings, which earlier he would have attributed to Karma or the work of God. Not any more. So many things that would have been attributed earlier to unseen God/s and Karma, today have been resolved by knowledge acquired by mankind. Yet, what we possess as knowledge is a pebble’s worth and what we do not know is the rest. Merely because we do not know or understand, I as one do not blindly attribute it to some God, while you may do so because you continue to follow your predecessors. However there is no difference in myself not believing and you believing in a God to have influenced our lives differently at all, in health, wealth and longevity. I can cite many a believer as yourself in a Religion, subject to sufferance, ill health from birth, Poverty stricken with no food and shelter, continuing to pray to God for redemption. These gullible, ignorant will also not be easily let off by the Mullahs/Priests either. These Mullahs/Priests will not accept that man can achieve redemption without Religion. Take for instance for someone suffering from a sickness that needs surgery to extend life or a person living in poverty to enhance himself, no amount of Religion worshiping is going to help unless surgery is performed and employment found to alleviate poverty.
Speaking on longevity, you state that Adam lived up to 900 years and Methuselah up to 965 yrs. Now this artifact of God Adam was never born. He was created as an adult and immediately copulated to produce every individual thereafter according to your belief which you claim lot more than the 25 nos that I quoted. Any human born, there is no record of having lived so long, ever. On the contrary life expectancy has increased with passage of time compared to early life, with medical discoveries and improved health facilities which no one can deny. To believe in such fibs as man had lived such lengths of time, is as bad as the belief of the Religion itself.

As for my query, how there could be so many Religions, if God created Adam, from whom we all have descended and he was the first Muslim, you say,
‘This is not difficult to fathom. Look at all the religions of the World. They have all split in to sects and sub sects. Buddhism followed its forerunner Hinduism and so on’.

When Islam itself have had no cohesiveness from the beginning, it is difficult to believe other Religions are splinter groups of the former, when one sees the glaring differences between Religions, for today’s man to kill each other in the name of a Religion. I shall not dwell into other areas you have touched in the Koran, to keep this discussion civil, without leaving room for any bad taste. Good day to you Jamal, take care!

Gamini, the truth of a religion cannot be experimentally proved. Belief is sustained and confirmed by EXPERIENCE and REASON. I agree that this is mostly an individual affair and the skeptics will disdain. However as civilized people we all have to be accommodating. We have to respect each others beliefs, even if it seems irrational to us, as long as it does not infringe on the privacy of others. It should be left to the individuals to rationalize, on what to believe and what not. Gamini, no I am not blindly following my forefathers. Maybe in my younger days I did so. However I have studied and researched and have corrected my perception maintaining my hold on my religion as I think I should.

“…to keep this discussion civil, without leaving room for any bad taste”

I am at a loss as to what I could have said to warrant your statement above. If I had said something not civil i apologize sincerely. If it was the proverb at the end – no offense was meant. It was an old arab expression that things will move on irrespective of the differences of opinion! As always I wish you peace and good health.

Marvels of Nature can not be attributed to a God as much as the suffering of the weaker at the hands of the stronger.

But this again according to one’s belief. You say so and we accept your opinion without malice. Your opinion, however need not be the TRUTH! We expect to respect ones opposing view, once again without malice. Have a pleasant day, Gamini!

Fair N Square, no offense meant, did God converse with Adam in Arabic, for Arabic to be the language of Islam? Which part of the world did Adam inhabit? Whose creations were Homo Erectus, Homo Habilis and the Neanderthal Man? Were they also the creation of this God? Why did they go extinct? Is it because they were failures?

“did God converse with Adam in Arabic, for Arabic to be the language of Islam?”

        No offence to Apes,

Many Muslims believe that the first ape spoke Arabic and practiced Islam.

This not at all unique to Muslims.

The Sinhala/Buddhists believe the first ape spoke Sinhala and practiced Sinhala/Buddhism.

The Tamil/Saivaites believe the first ape spoke Tamil and practiced saivaism.

The Christians believe Adam and Eve were the first apes.

        As usual I am confused.

Adam and Eve inhabited, what now is Saudi Arabia, As Muslims we know of how Allah ordered Adam to leave behind EVE and their son Ismael in the dessert’s Of Makkah (to test his faithfulness to Allah) where there are 2 Mountains called “Safa” and”Marwah”. When Ismaeel, a baby was crying in hunger and No help around EVE, she ran in between the two Mountains.. looking for food…and TILL TODAY MUSLIM PERFORM THIS RITUAL while doing the Hadj… the 5th Pillar of Islam…while the baby was stamping his feet, Allah made a spring come up from under the feet of the lil baby Ismaeel and EVE fed him water from that… since that day… the Spring has NOT dried and is currently known as ZAM ZAM well.. water is pumped 24/7 from this well until today.. Well we go by the Big Bang theory and not Darwins theory…. .. further am no scholar so I’d request u to access http://www.islamicity.com and ask the scholars YES they have a” ask the scholar” tab. they will be more than glad to tell you and answer ur q’s. You may also access http://www.islamonline.net/English and ask the scholars too.. and try http://www.themodernreligion.com and see what valuable information you can gather.. BUT have an open mind… Good luck… May you be Guided in the right path… Aameen

          Fair N Square

Did Adam divorce Eve by Islamic procedure “ṭalāq”?

Why didn’t Eve divorce the absentee father by khula?

Did they or didn’t they divorce each other?

          • 0
            0

There was no need for Talaq as Allah hadn’t instructed Adam to do so, he was asked to just leave them in the desert and the need for Khula doesn’t come in to play either… it was just a temporary parting and then later they got back together and Adam was tested even more…

Fair N Square has got things mixed up. Ismaeel was born to HAGAR the wife of Patriarch ABRAHAM. Adam and Eve’ first sons were ABEL and CAIN.

          0

Am sorry for the mix up… the incident I mentioned is what happened to Prophet Ibrahim and Hagar, his wife…

Prophet Adam landed in near Kandy srilanka and eve landed in jeddah Saudi Arabia. also prophet Adams footprint is in samanala kande in srilanka. it is believed that he stood there on one foot for 1000 years to punish himself for what he has done. (eaten from the forbidden tree)…. Adam roamed the world looking for Eve and finally found her in Saudi Arabia.. They had 2 sons named Cain and Abel.

Could some one explain how many children Adam and Eve had? Also how Adam roamed the world looking for Eve? Were there no wild beasts as the Dinosaurs and other deadly creatures?

Ive been living all my life in Arab countries and by the look of it and the pronunciation of Arabic I can guarantee you this is a FAKE. This is some of his own devotees who’ve made a plan to show people that he’s worshipped across all sects. With all due respect, He is no god. He is no self realized saint like Shirdi Sai Baba. He’s just a social reformer. THIS VIDEO WITH ARAB DEVOTEES IS 100% FAKE. I CAN CHALLENGE ANYONE ON THIS.
