Dear Readers,
Please advice family and friends not to visit IDH for Corana testing , If you are sure you have not come in contact with anyone who are from High risk countries or if you have not travelled recently .
I regret to state as this is the first time we are facing such a virus , I found the staff and others in the clinic completely unprepared and seems to not have any experience and the place is in a chaos.
The male attendent had been very aggressive to people .
So just visit your usaul GP or Physician consultant if you expeirence any symtoms , they could be a normal flue or chronic sinussitis.
Its highly risky for a person who have never come in contact with any high risk person or have not visited any high risk countries to visit The IDH Coranavirus Screening clinic.
The staff are so unprepared and are cluless ., The doctor does not have even basic geography knowledge and zero English and The Tourist are deeply grieved .
A healthy person is at risk.
Well experience doctors and nurses are needed desperately at the IDH clinic and it would be good to send a team to Singapore for some short training as they are well organized and this is the 2nd expeirence

People are suffering and dying everywhere and I think its improper and not funny at all .
I pray discreetly in my own way to heal the whole world from this terrible plague and also to prevent it entering our Country .
We are in no situation to handle it God forbid.
Already a number of our people( Sri lankans) are suffering from various illnesses.
It was heart breaking for me to see number of them suffering from kidney illness in a certain gov Hospital priv ward, I really appreciate the noble service the entire staff is doing there , its not easy to be a nightingale , a male attendent or a doctor .its almost divine .. one has to be above human , and almost an Angle of mercy.
I hope a day will come soon where Sri lankans from all communities will unite and start a medical trust to help people who can not afford .
One midleage man said he has sold everything , from Car to bike and needs Rs.60, 000 pm only for his oral medicines.
How much we are neglecting our own people*( it does not matter anymore for me which commuity, they are from, they are Our people Sri Lankans and most of all Humans) .if each of us contribute to a medical trust Rs 1.00 a day we can easily collect atleast Rs.10 million a day.
Someone please give it a thought .

The true reasons we all are still living here is because we all are looking for easy death, not torturous, feeling no body pain (or by the hope of having to find a way to dodge the death). When the death itself come to us, we all would have exhaust our ways and means of prolong lives or avoiding pain and we die by torturous pain, a life time disappointment.

An interesting story how MR, GR, BR and CR father joined SWRD in 1955. Daddy boy use to travel all the way from Hambanthota and come to Colombo to attend the parliamentary secession in the 1950s. He usually stayed at the old MPs boarding house near the old Public Library off Turret road.
During the lunch breaks Daddy boy never went home or to a “bath kade” near the old Parliament building at Galle-face. Instead he used to go to the subsidised bar at the old Parliament for his usual “liquid lunch”. He usually returns a bit late to the chambers a bit sozzled.
One day in 1956 he came back from his liquid lunch and noticed SWRD was seated at the opposition benches. Daddy boy in his sozzled status did not know what has happened during his absence. Which was that SWRD crossed over and sat in the opposition benches and subsequently started his own party which was SLFP with his racist mantra “Sangha, Veda, Guru, Govi, and Kamkaru.
So Daddy boy thought where SWRD was seated was the government benches and went and sat next to him.
Rest is history!!

This to translate a thought into words -It’s a well known that the politicians in the major SL parties are in EACH OTHERS POCKETS ie the UNP in the SLFP pocket & viceversa, and BOTH in the Rajapakse party pockets ! The exclusions are perhaps the JVP & Tamil parties.
