Sri Lanka Civilian Killings Back In Focus

Fresh calls for justice expected after film detailing alleged civil-war atrocities is shown to UN diplomats.

A film detailing atrocities that allegedly took place during Sri Lanka’s civil war has been shown to UN diplomats in Geneva, Switzerland. The UN has already called for an independent inquiry into the deaths of thousands of Tamil civilians.

The screening of the film on Friday is expected to prompt calls to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Al Jazeera’s Jonah Hull reports.
