“The refugees of Sabapathy Pillai believed David Cameron had been sent by God to help them get their land back. A swarm of Jaffna women stormed through a line of military police to plead for his help in finding their missing loved ones.Yet only a few hours later, the prime minister left a meeting with Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa no closer to securing an investigation into alleged war crimes, or an admission that many Tamils continue to be persecuted.: the Guardian reports.

Its time for David Cameron to use his iron fist.
The only people who enjoying the post war victory is this ‘cursed family’ and its ‘cronies’. The rest of the people are suffering.
Gonraja’s Harbour Highway Airport etc are good to fool the Medamulana village Donkeys. What one cannot understand is their bogus development claim. What development actually taking place? Cleaning the roads or planing to build casinos a development? The only development we see is spreading hatred through some rabied Dogs such as Dilantha Moron Vithanage, Champuka, Hummage aththe Gnanasatan Rathana Satan.

Thank you for speaking like a Sinhalease. Please keep it up. The Tamils want this. But too foolish this time. You can reduce it a bit – by good education em.. moving with cultured people etc. Dont worry this is a common problem with Sinhalese of Sri Lanka. Problem of civilization

Visiting people is alright! Hearing their complaints, that also is no issue. BUT, if he tries to tell us what to do that’s not correct in anyway. We no longer are the colony they plundered from & Mr Cameron is not higher than our President in the light of international law. We are no less sovereign than the UK. We are a civilized nation & we can manage on our own, we don’t need anyone to force us. WE are a sovereign country with one nation, Sri Lankans. We have neither minority nor majority. & ppl should stop manipulating their ethnic status regardless whether they are the majority or the minority. Btw why don’t these ppl understand that all these complaints come from just the same group. & that group happens to be very small.

Young Sri Lankan,
‘We are a civilized nation’ – This sentence requires clarification in the context of ‘kidney business’, white van abduction, the atrocities committed by the military, the actions of the BBS, the ridiculous behaviour of Mervyn Silva, Wimal Weerawansa, and members of the PSC, the unconstitutional treatment given to Chief Justice Dr.Shirani Bandaranayake, the episode at the Salaka Casino, the import of formalin, Ferrari, etc. There is a long list.

Nothing like this happens in a civilized county. You should have said uncivilized. That is the proper word. But there is hope Sri Lanka can be civilized. That is what David Cameron said “There is hope”

Young SL….Proves he is proud product of the SL education system….good swallowing and regurgitating the very words of Nonis. Wake up kiddo and smell the coffee. We can talk bull about being a sovereign nation. But when economic embargoes are imposed you and the other modayas can start eating the very white elephants and probably look for a sovereign bar to eat.

Mahinda Rajapaksa and this government will deserve all that they will get for not treating people of whatever race or religion as equals. I doubt that David Cameron can do much, that is the irony. He has his own government’s skeletons which are bigger than Rajapaksa’s. For Mahinda Rajapaksa’s misgovernance, all Sri Lankans will have to face the music from the international community. As Cameron had suggested, why could not Mahinda Rajapaksa find in himself the courage to be magnanimous? As a Buddhist that should not have been difficult. But then when you practice worship of concrete statues, trees and other mumbo jumbo, you tend to forget what Buddhism is about.

Although Hon. Cameron was allowed to visit Jaffna, no doubt his visit will be treated par with Indian air force ‘Parippu’ drop in 1987.

Well maybe we should all worship Cameron the ‘God’ since all other Gods have failed us in everything else? See God Cameron came, he saw, he gagged, he threw up after seeing a local toilet pit and got a God complex as he suddenly introduced sanitation and ‘commodes’ (also known as Gods seats) to the poor stricken people of the north. Then the next thing he did was shine his ‘light’ (the face cream he uses has a reflective effect in the sun) on all those poor stricken northerners who until recently were living under terror of death during the long conflict we all went through. A few British pounds in their pockets didnt hurt either.
So God Cameron, exactly what sacrifice do we need to make for u to stay indefinitely in our country and bless us all with your glory? Maybe a nice koththu roti with some chicken, or a fried rice on a banana leaf? ALL HAIL GOD CAMERON…THE SAVIOR OF OUR PEOPLE! (bitch please)

BBS Rep / November 18, 2013
I do understand the anguish of people who lost loved ones in the war against LTTE. However the Tamil People who have been looking for DC to deliver action are going to be bitterly disappointed.
DC came, made a splash and will go about his business once he is back home in UK. Sri Lanka will go about its own business once this CHOGM tamasha is over.
Politicians will be politicians. UK and other so called top-end democracies have committed worst crimes than what the Sri Lankan army is accused of. And they continue to do so with impunity. Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Palestine etc. Expecting one criminal to prosecute another criminal is an exercise in futility.
My advice to all is get on with life the best way you could. Things are improving and will improve. Digging into the past litany of woes is not going to make anyone’s life any better.
