තිසුරි වන්නිආරච්චි
විශ්වය කියන්නේ මහ පුදුම දෙයක්. අපි මේ ලෝකයට පැමිණෙන්න කලින් තිබුණු විශ්වය අපි මේ ලෝකෙන් යනකොටත් ඉන්ද්‍රකීලයක් මෙන් නොසැලී සිටි. අද ලෝකයේ ජීවත් වන මිනිසුන් විශ්වයේ දවසක, තප්පර දශමයක් පමණ වටි. මෙතරම් දැවැන්ත විශ්වය ඉදිරියේ පොළොවෙ පයගසා සිටින්න උදවු කරන්නට අපට ලැබුණු අනර්ග අත්පොතකි බුද්ධ ධර්මය. මහ මුහුදක දිය බිඳුවක් තරම් විතර වටින අපේ ජීවිතවලට, ලෝකයටත්, අපිටත් බරක් නොවී ජීවත්වන්නේ කෙසේද කියා බුද්ධ ධර්මයෙන් කියාදෙයි. අප සැබෑ බෞද්ධයෝ නම්, ධර්මයේ කියා දෙන ආකාරයට පටු භෞතික තණ්හා අතහැර, සසරෙන් එතරවෙන්න අවශ්‍ය මානසික සංයමය හිතේ ඇතිකරගත යුතුයි. බෞද්ධ දේශයක් කියා හඳුන්වන ලංකාවෙ මෙතරම් වටින බුද්ධ ධර්මයෙන් ගත යුතු ප්‍රයෝජනය ගැනෙන්නෙ නැත. බුද්ධ ධර්මයට ලැබියයුතු අවධානය අද ලංකාවේ ලැබෙන්නෙ බුද්ධාගමටයි.
“බුද්ධාගම” බුද්ධ ධර්මයට හාත්පසින්ම වෙනස්.
ආගම භයානකයි
ආගම වනාහි අපට මනුෂ්‍යයින් ලෙස උප්පත්තියෙන් ලැබී ඇති, අපගේ ක්‍රියාවන්ට අප සතු වගකීමේ හා වගවීමේ හැකියාව පසෙකලා අදෘශ්‍යමාන, අධිමානුෂික පාලන බලයකට යටත් නීතිරාමුවක අප ජීවිත පාලනය කිරීමට අවස්ථාව ලබාදීමයි.
මතුපිටින් බැලූ කල ආගමේ කියන්නට තරම් වැරැද්දක් නැත. ජීවිතේ කටුකබව, අමිහිරිබව වගේම, විටෙකදී දරාගත නොහැකිතරම් වන සුන්දර බව ද විඳදරාගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය සංයමය අප තුළ ඇතිකරගන්නට විවිධ මෙවලම් ලෝකය විසින් අපට ලබා දී ඇත. කලාව, ආදරය, මත්පැන්, බලය, මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය, ක්‍රීඩාව, සූදුව… මෙවලම් ලැයිස්තුවට නිමක් නැත. ආගමත් ඒ මෙවලම් ලැයිස්තුවට අයත් වේ.
පදනම් කරගන්න දර්ශනය කොතරම් වෙනස්වුණත්, සියලු ආගම් භාවිතා කරන රාමුව බොහෝ දුරට එකමයි. “මාගේ දර්ශනය ලොව උතුම්ම දර්ශනයයි, මාගේ ශාස්තෲවරයා/ දෙවියා උතුම්ම ශාස්තෲවරයා ය/ දෙවියා ය. මාගේ දර්ශනයේ අනුගාමිකයකු වීම ස්වර්ගයට යෑමට/ නිවන් දැකීමට ඇති එකම මගයි. මාගේ ආගම පිළි නොපදින්නෝ පවුකාරයෝය, ඔවුන්ට මාගේ ලෝකයෙ ඉඩ නැත.”
ආගම් හැදෙන රාමුවත් ත්‍රස්තවාදී සංවිධාන පදනම් කරගන්න රාමුවත් අතර බියජනක සමානතා තිබේ. ත්‍රස්තවාදී සංවිධානයක් බිහිවීමට අවශ්‍ය සියලු සාධක, ආගම තුළ දැකිය හැක. ඇමරිකාවෙ වෙස්ට්බොරො බැප්ටිස් පල්ලිය පටන්, මැදපෙරදිග ISIS, ඊසානදිග මියන්මාරයේ විරතු හිමිගේ 969 දක්වා ලෝකය පුරා, ඉතා සූක්‍ෂම හා කාර්යක්ෂම ලෙස ආගම පදනම් කරගත් ත්‍රස්තවාදී ව්‍යාපාර සාදාගත හැකි වූයේ මේ සාධක නිසාය.
ව්‍යවස්ථාවට ආගමක් කුමටද?
බුද්ධාගමට තැනක් ව්‍යවස්ථාවේ ලබාදෙන්න ඕනේ කියන අයගේ මූලික තර්කය ලංකාවේ අනන්‍යතාවයට බුද්ධාගම අත්‍යාවශ්‍යයි කියන එක.
මම සතුන්ට හිරිහැර කරන්නේ නැහැ. බොරු කියන්නේ නැහැ. කාමයේ වරදවා හැසිරෙන්නේ නැහැ, හොරකම් කරන්නේ නැහැ, මත්පැන් බොන්නේ නැහැ, කියන සුපිරි බොරු පහේ පදනම මතයි ලංකාවේ බුද්ධාගම හැදෙන්නේ. ඇත්තටම ලංකාවේ ඔය පන්සිල් පහම රකින මිනිස්සු සීයට පහක්වත් ඉන්නවද? මස්මාලු නැති කොට දානෙ වලඳන්නෙ නැති හාමුදුරුවො ඉන්න, බොරුවෙන්ම ජීවත් වෙන දේශපාලනඥයො වැහි වැහැපු, සිල්ලර බඩු කඩේ ලාච්චුවෙ සිට මහ බැංකුව වෙනකම්ම හොරකම් සිද්ධ වෙන, පාසැල් ළමුන් කාලේ ඉඳන් පටන් ගන්න මත්පැන් මත්ද්‍රව්‍යවලට ඇබ්බැහිවීම පිරුණු රටක අනන්‍යතාවය තුළ ඇත්තටම බුද්ධාගමට ඉඩ තිබේද?
මම එසේ කියන විට ඔබ පෙරළා අසන්නට පුලුවන්, මේ ප්‍රශ්න රටේ තියෙන නිසාම නේද ව්‍යවස්ථාවට ආගමක් අවශ්‍ය කියා. මෙය ජනප්‍රිය තර්කයක් වුණත්, මට ඒ තර්කයේ දුර්වලතා බොහොමයක් පෙනේ. එක: ආගමට ව්‍යවස්ථාවේ හිමිවෙන තැන රටක විනය ඇතිකරන්නට සාධක වෙනවා නම්, මෙතරම් කාලයක් බුද්ධාගමට ප්‍රමුඛතාව දුන්න ව්‍යවස්ථාවක් තිබ්බ රටක් වංචාව, දූෂණය, මතට ඇබ්බැහීවීම අතින් මෙච්චර අගාදයකට වැටුනේ කෙසේද? දෙක, ආගමේ නාමයෙන් සිදුවන දූෂණය, හොරකම, අනුගාමිකයින් දේශපාලන වාසීන් සඳහා හැසිරවීම, දේශපාලන හැලහැප්පීම් මේ ප්‍රශ්න තවත් උත්සන්න කරනවා නොවේද? තුන: සංඝයාට සමාජයේ සියල්ලදත් පඬිවරයාගේ තත්ත්වය ලබාදීම තාත්විකද? ගිහියන්ට හාත්පසින්ම වෙනස් දිවිපෙවෙතක් ගතකරනා භික්‍ෂු භික්‍ෂුණීන්ට, ගිහි ජීවිතයේ අපි මූණදෙන සංකීර්ණතා ගැන දැනුමක් තිබේද? පවුල් ජීවිතයේ, රැකියාවේ, සමාජයේ මුහුණ දෙන ඉතා බැරෑරුම් ප්‍රශ්නවලට ගිහි අපි, සංඝයාගෙන් පිළිතුරු ඔවදන් බලාපොරොත්තුවීම සාධාරණද?
බුද්ධාගම හුදෙක්, බුද්ධ ධර්මයේ පහනින් එළිය බලන හෙන්චයියෙකි. කෞතුකාගාරයක තිබිය යුතු නටබුනකි. මානව විද්‍යාව, ඉතිහාසය වැනි විෂයයන්හි ශාස්ත්‍රාලික විශ්ලේෂණය සඳහා ඇති වටිනාකමින් ඔබ්බට ගිය අවශ්‍යතාවක් අද සමාජයේ ආගමට නැත.
බුද්ධාගමට රටේ ප්‍රමුඛත්වය දිය යුතුයි කියන බොහෝදෙනෙකු සොයන්නේ තමන්ගේ කියන්නට දෙයකි. ඔවුන් ආගම දකින්නේ පිලක් ලෙසය. තමන්ගේ කියා අනන්‍යතාවක් සාදාගැනීමට අපහසු වූ කලි, තමා සම්බන්ධකම් කියන සමාජ සංවිධානයකට තම සහය ප්‍රකාශ කරන ඔවුන් ඒ තුලින් මේ දැවැන්ත විශ්වය තුල ඔවුන්ට දැනෙන අනාරක්ෂිතබව යම්තාක් දුරට අඩු කරගනී. මේ තුලින ඔවුන් පන්තිවාදයක් ඇති කරගෙන, ඒ පන්ති අරගලයේ ඉහල මාලයේ පිලට ඔවුන්වම ඇතුල් කර ගනිති. මෙය සංස්කෘතිකවාදයේ ලක්ෂණයකි. සංස්කෘතිකවාදය විවිද මුහුණුවර ගනී. කුඩාකල තමා ඉගෙනගත් පාසලද මේ සංස්කෘතික පිල් බෙදීමේ ක්‍රියාවලියේ කොටස්කරුවෙක් කර ගැනීමට නූතන සංස්කෘතිකවාදියා සමත් වී ඇත. ලංකාවේ අධ්‍යාපන ක්‍රමයේ ඇති විශමතා ප්‍රයෝජනයට ගනිමින් පන්ති භේදයක් ඇතිකර ගැනීම තම පුද්ගලික අනාරක්ෂිතබාවය වසා ගත හැකි මෙවලමක් බව ඔවුන් හදුනාගෙන ඇත.
සංස්කෘතිය වනාහි සියලු මානුශික හා විද්‍යාත්මක තර්ක මියදෙන්නට යන ගැඹුරු ළිදකි. එම ළිදෙහි සිටින මැඩියාට ළිද වටා ඇති තාප්පය පණටත් වඩා වටී. ඒ තාප්පය මත වැවෙන පාසි, වල් පැලෑටි මැඩියාගෙ ලෝකයේ දෙවිවරුය. එම දෙවියන්හට රටේ ව්‍යවස්ථාවේ ප්‍රමුඛත්වය දියයුතුබව මැඩියාගේ විශ්වාසයයි. මැඩියාගේ පැත්තෙන් බැලූ විට එය සාධාරණ ඉල්ලීමකි.
ආගම ගැටලුසහගතයි
ව්‍යවස්ථාව වනාහි රටක් පාලනය කිරීමට අවශ්‍ය මූලධර්ම ඇතුළත් වූ ලේඛනයකි. රටක ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය රැකීමට භාවිතා කළ හැකි මූලික මෙවලම ද ව්‍යවස්ථාවයි.
ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය සහ ආගම අතිනත යන්නේ නැහැ. ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදයට අත්‍යාවශ්‍ය සාධකයක් ලෙස “the seperation of church and state” නොහොත් ආගම සහ රාජ්‍යයේ වෙන්වී කටයුතු කිරීමේ අතිශය වැදගත්කම දේශපාලන විද්‍යාවේ කියාදෙන්නේ මේ නිසයි. ව්‍යවස්ථාවේ තෙවන පරිච්ඡේදයේ 12 වන වගන්තියේ සඳහන් වන සියලු ජාති, ආගම්වල සියලු පුරවැසියන් සතු සම අයිතීන් හා සම තැන, දෙවන පරිච්ඡේදයේ බුද්ධාගමට ප්‍රමුඛත්වය දීමෙන් ව්‍යවස්ථා වගන්ති අතර එකිනෙකට පරස්පරසහගත තත්ත්වයක් මතුකරයි.
සම අයිතීන් ගැන කතාකරන විට බුද්ධ ධර්මයේ නැති ලිංගවාදී, කුලවාදී සංකල්ප බොහොමයක් ලාංකීය බුද්ධාගමේ තිබේ. කොටින්ම කිවහොත් ඒකීය රාජ්‍යයක් ඉල්ලන ලාංකීය සංඝරත්නය පවා තදබල ලෙස බෙදීගිය කුල-පන්ති (නිකාය) පද්ධතියක සිරවී කටයුතු කරති. සැබෑ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදයක ආගම රජයට ඇගිලි නොගසයි. දශක ගණනක් පුරා රැවුලත් සමග කැඳ බීපු අපහට දැන් තීරණයක් ගැනීමට කාලය පැමිණ ඇත: වතිකානුවේ මෙන් පූජක පක්‍ෂයට රජය කරගෙනයාමට භාර දෙනවාද, නැතිනම්, අවංකවම ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී, ආගම් ජාති නොතකා සියලු මිනිසුන්හට සමතැන දෙන ව්‍යවස්ථාවකට යටත් නූතන දේශයක් තනනවාද බැවු තීරණය කල යුතුවේ.
ඥානසාරගෙන් මෛත්‍රිය ඉගෙන ගන්නට, සම්න්ත්‍රභද්‍රගෙන් අල්පෙච්චතාවය ඉගෙන ගන්නට තරම් අන්ද වූ අපේ බුද්ධාගම කෙරෙහි ඇති භක්තිය, බුදුන් දෙසූ ධර්මයට අපහාසයකි. බුද්ධාගමට නව ව්‍යස්ථාවේ ප්‍රමුඛත්වය දුන්නහොත්, ආගම තවදුරටත් දේශපාලනීකරණය කෙරෙනු ඇත.
බුද්ධාගමට නව ව්‍යවස්ථාවේ ඉඩක් දීම බුද්ධ ධර්මයට කල හැකි ලොකුම නිග්‍රහය යි.

Anyone like it or not the constitution will carry the Buddhism is protected and flourish in this country as long as the majority of people follow Buddhism. Hence this type of articles become futile and only increase in hatefulness among communities…….

මහා සංඝ රත්නය, අගමැති සහ ආණ්ඩුව boycott කරන්න ඕනේ. බුද්ධාගමට එරෙහිව අගමැති ප්‍රමුඛ ආණ්ඩුව නිර්ලජ්ජිත පහර ගැසීමේ ව්‍යාපාරයක් ගෙන යනවා. උඩින් ලෝකෙට පේන්න පන්සල් ගැන කතා කරනවා. හාමුදුරුවනට දානේ දෙනවා. යටින් පන්සල් වලට පහර ගැසීමේ ව්‍යාපාරයක් ගෙන යනවා. ඇමතිවරු ලව්වා බුද්ධාගමට අපහස වෙන ප්‍රකාශ කරනවා. දියවඩන නිලමේට පහර ගහනව. අමූලික බොරු චෝදනා කරනවා. පරිත්‍යාගයක් විදියට මියන්මාර් රටෙන් ලැබුණු ඇතා, සාමාන්‍ය වටිනාකමට වඩා සිය ගුණයක් වැඩි ගානක් දීල ගත්ත කියලා අමූලික බොරු කතාවක් ප්‍රචාරය කරනවා. මේ පහර ගහන්නේ දළදා මාලිගාවට. ඇත්තටම සුද්දගේ කාලේවත් මේ විදියට දළදා මාලිගාවට පහර ගැහුවේ නැහැ. කාලිංග මාඝ යලි ඉපදීලා වගේ.
බෞද්ධයෝ මේ බොරු කතා පිළිගන්නේ නැති වුනත් දියවඩන නිලමේ ගැන විචිකිච්චාවක් ඇති කරන්න හදනව. අන්‍යාගමිකයන් අතර බෞද්ධාගමට තියෙන පිළිගැනීම නැති කරන්න හදනව. අගමැතිගේ අනුදැනුම නැතුව මේවා කරන්න බැහැ. ව්‍යවස්ථාව තිබෙද්දිත් මෙහෙම නම්, වෙනස් කලාම කොහොමට හිටීවිද?

පස් වන සිය වසේ සිට දොලොස් වන සිය වස දක්වා අසල් වැසි ලංකාව, ටිබෙතය වැනි රට වලින් පමනක් නොව චීනය, ජපානය, කොරියාව වැනි අග්නි දිග අාසියානු රට වලින් පවා ගිහි පැවිදි උගතුන් ලෝකයේ ප්‍රථම විශ්ව විද්‍යාලය යය් සලකන මගධයේ (අද ඉන්දියාවේ බිහාරයේ) පිහිටි නාලන්දාවට ඉගැන්වීමට මෙන්ම ඉගන ගැනීමටත් වසර 800ක් නොකඩවා පැමිනි බව රට රට වල ඉතිහාසය සාක්‍ෂි දරය්. එක් වරකට දස දහසක් සිසුන් සහ දෙදහසක් ගුරැ භවතුන් නාලන්දාවේ වාසය කල බවට සාක්‍ෂි අැත. එදා බුද්ධ ධර්මය අනුව සාම කාමි පරිසරයක සිප් සතර ඉගැන් වූ සහ හැදෑරැ නාලන්දාවේ සිසුන් සහ ගුරැ භවතුන් තමන්ට හෝ අායතනයට අාරක්‍ෂාව අවශ්‍ය වේ යය් හිතුවේ නැත. අායතනයේ අාරක්‍ෂාවට හමුදාවක් අවශ්‍ය වේ යය් සිතුවේ නැත.
ඒ ඔවුන් සැවොම බුද්ධ ධර්මය මත පිහිටා ක්‍රියා කල හෙයිනි. නමුත් සිදු වූයේ බලාපොරොත්ත නොවු දෙයකි: බක්තියාර් කිලිජි නම් ‘අල්ලා මිස වෙන දෙවියෙක් විශ්වාස නොකරන’ ඉස්ලාමික තුර්කි සේනාපතියා නාලන්දාවට කඩා පැන්නේය. අාරක්‍ෂාවක් නොමැති අධ්‍යාපන ායතනය ගිනි තබා විනාස කලේය. ගිහියන්ද පැවිද්දන්ද සමූල ඝාතනය කලේය. එතැන් සිට බුද්ධාගම භාරතයෙන් නන්නත්තාර වන්නට පටන් ගත්තේය. සොලීන් විසින් ලංකාවේ වෙහෙර විහාර කඩා බිඳ දැම්මේ වරක් දෙවරක් නොවේ. නමුත් ලංකාවෙ බුදු දහම වසර 2500 ක් අාරක්ෂා විය. එසේ වූයේ බුදු දහමට තිබූ රාජ අනුග්‍රහය නිසාය.
කොටින්ම කියන්නේ නම් ලංකාව යටත් විජිතයක් කර ගත් පසු ඉන්ගිරිසින්ද බුදු දහම අාරක්ෂා කිරිමට එකඟ විය.
රජතුමා (ජනපති) බෞද්ධයෙක් විය යුතු යය් නියමයක් නැති අද ලංකාවේ ව්‍යවස්ථාවෙන් හෝ අාරක්ෂා නොවන බුද්ධ ධර්මයට වැඩි කල් නොගිහින් වෙන්නේ එදා නාලන්දාවට සිදු වූ දෙයම බව [Edited out]

Bandyya: It is long enough that buddhists reamined silent. Now, it is time go aganst this tide. We have to stop this non-buddhists asking us saying BEHAVE AS BUDDHISTS. Because they want to be muslims and Hindus who slaughtered buddhists and eliminated buddhism from many countries.

Thisuri: The language we speak, particularly, english is based christian dialogs. ID does not have proper words to speak about buddhism. So the closest word for buddha dhrama is buddhism. Two middle eastern religions, if you read their beginnings and existence, are invasive, aggressive, cannibaistic and forceful. Buddha dharma is accomodating and ask people (not force people to) to LIVE AND LET LIVE. It is true, that buddhists are behaving like christianss or muslims. One reason is when people are exposed to bad habits, they like to gor for those. Another thing is Sri lanka budhha Dharma need to be protected from those encroachers. Read and see they, both, do that all over Asia. The pope came from poland had said Church’s new millinium goal is to convert Asia to chsitianity. So, the muslims are also not giving up. So, the western strategy for that is create wahabi states every where they will self-explode. Wahabi states are run by saudi arabian. So, the west will use them. In Sri lanka, too they want, destroy buddhism and make open for every religion to stand equal one thing is that is political anarchy. then an outside force can control the country. Finally buddhism is not a political religion. but, it it needs, whole over the asis, in order to exist. Just think if Buddhism had an INdian Army who fought for buddhism, Buddhists would have been sruvived from Brahmins as well a from muslims. That is why Sinhale need your kind of buddhism.

It’s funny how some people like this girl who has got their heads deep inside the ass of US system do not see the whole picture. They only see what they want to see or what the west wants us to promote… They think what US has is pure democracy, when in reality their system is as corrupt as ours. Has she ever heard of the lobbying system that anything can be bought for money? Does she think it’s any different from the “commission” based corrupt politicians we have? She uses some part of US political ideologies like “separation of state and religion” but fails to identify the reason that works for them is that no religion or “race” is involved in their 2 party political system. Anyone can be a member of either party Republican or Democrat regardless of their colour, race or religion. Same in Britain and Canada where Democrats and Liberals are only separated by their political ideology, not the race or religion.
Not so in Sri Lanka, where we have Muslim parties, Tamil Alliances and now Buddhist parties. These parties only cater to their races or religion’s interest not for the country. I can’t be a member of the Muslim congress or Tamil alliances because their ideologies are different from my race and religion. So where is their concern for the country? With all their faults, SLFP, UNP & JVP are different where anyone can be a member, because they represent everyone. So she needs to first preach about removing the race & religion from the political parties, before trying to remove them from the constitution. Did she ever think Buddhism may exist in the constitution in the first place to protect the Christian missionaries that were trying to convert people from colonial days? (continued)

(continued) From my understanding Buddhism is one religion that doesn’t force convert anyone, therefore it needs to be protected especially from these religion based parties. I am always amused when I see the west (US, UK and others) advice us and try to implement a democracy like theirs, but don’t advice us on having a similar political party system. They never sees the danger of having a race and religion based political parties, because it serves their agenda It’s a half baked advice because in reality they know it won’t work, and we will continue have issues and conflicts. The more we fight it’s better for them, whether it be supporting with weapons, advice or influence, they can brain wash people like her to carry out their political agendas. More importantly it also allows their Christian missionaries to easily convert poor folks in Sri Lanka. In the end it’s nothing different from what the British did.. Divide and Conquer!

Pointing out the shortcomings of Buddhist, its seems she is working for US missionaries who try to convert srilankeans , with manipulation and degrading Buddhist.
Why was such a process initiated, because White Christians are now a minority and don’t trust gods in US. Also to gain more control in SL, They know to gain advantage in political issues and in a broad sense can control the country’s moves to some extent. SriLankean are also very easy targets, can they do it in a Muslim country. If she try to do same in India, Pak or Nepal (south Asian country) she may face up to 10 -20 years in prison term for “hurts religious sentiment” .
its not bad to spread good things through religion but defaming other religion and beliefs of people is so very sin, thats what is done in many convent school in SriLanka.
I myself respect jesus but not the people who disgrace other religion. The way you respect your religion and jesus in the same manner we do respect ours.
This women make fun of another person’s faith or mock someone means she need psychological treatment.

I am Christian who knows God.
God gifted the land of Sri Lanka to Buddhists, who have no faith in any God, but also willed Tamils and Muslims to live in it. It is the powerfully wished will of True God that commands Sinhala Buddhists and Christians, Tamil Hindus and Christians and Islamic Muslims, to live in this beautiful country together in peace, mutual understanding and harmony, consciously helping each other in to happiness and prosperity. It is possible, since it is the majestic wish of true God.
Then when Muslims and Tamils came to this land at first, Sinhala Buddhists made them the citizens in this country. Tey gave their Sinhala-Buddhist daughters in marriage to be their wives. Sinhala Buddhists are very kind and generous people.
Some Muslims and Tamils religious extremists try to seed the hatred of racism and religious fanaticism. Now God is angry with Muslims and Tamils and will make your life difficult. We must find a homegrown solution based on Buddhist ideology. Also the True God knows that there are no Gods.
