Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, during a UPFA election rally in Akuressa, moved angrily towards a party supporter, as if he was going to attack the man.
Rajapaksa’s behaviour was captured on a video and posted by a person who was present at the rally.
Rajapaksa reacted angrily when a supporter, who came close to him, pulled his hand before the former President got on to the stage.
The former President was taken away by his body guards and other UPFA members who surrounded him.
Rakapaka then got on to the stage, showed his respect to the Buddhist monks and waved his hands at supporters as if nothing happened.

Still frames of this video is available from various media including DM and you can clearly see a man stretches his arm over a crowd and grabs MR’s arm, and another man who is a Grama Niladhari who is in front of the hand grabbing person who can be clearly identified in the still frames has given many many interviews as to what actually happened, how a drunk guy grabbed MR’s arm and how the latter had pulled his arm away, it is terribly disappointing that this kind of made- up stories are published in CT to attract a class of people united only by their hate for MR.

The picture clearly shows a man pulling MR’s right hand and MR himself is trying to pull it back and back away. This man is behind another person (Grama Sewaka) and MR could not have hit this man even if he tried to. Also MR is a right hander and when this hand is held by some one he can hit only if he is a south paw. Even if he did so it would be in self defense as he reasonably can assume he is being attacked. He is strong enough for this. Media must stop this type of wrong news and must get the facts correct before publishing. They want to be first with the news whether it is right or wrong for sensationalism and with other agendas. They don’t correct themselves later and the damage is already done. The aggrieved party is helpless.

After MR raises his left hand to deliver a punch to the guy, MR the so called strong man is pushed back and he goes flying. If not for the security guys, MR would have fallen flat on his back. The rage and fury written on MR’s face at that moment, sure would have sent his pulse up. Strange that he did not get a heart attack or burst a blood vessel. Afterall the good MR has done, killing so many in his lust for power, will get him one day for sure and soon too.

The freedom of living in peace for everybody didn’t come by accident. check the last video clip , Prabakaran was wearing his guerilla kit , it was on record , next he was stripped , if they had wanted to do a thorough body check up , they would have done so and got him dressed back again , but they didn’t , why ? they wanted to humiliate him , that’s it !
