I know about Freedom of Speech and how it should be used… I’m not against opinions… What I cannot digest is that why a deserted person, who has not visited her (so called) mother land in decades have to be there to talk about/ represent people over here? Most of such empty vessels have never visited Sri Lanka and does not have first hand experience of what is actually going on in our mother land… What do these people try to say? That there is no point in voting? There is no resolution for Tamil people? These people damage the morality of the people they (try) to represent and make them feel they are powerless to make any changes or even worse gives an illusion that change will not do any good.
Being pessimistic about everything is bad for everyone. It’s too soon to expect everything to fall in to its proper place, but again its too soon to say nothing will change… Having a positive attitude and working towards it is healthier than speculating. I have first hand experience with these so called patriots who cannot even name few cities in the north or even write ‘Jaffna’ in Tamil. These people do not represent anyone…

In any country, when there’s a large military threat, the machinery of the military isn’t dismantled immediately after the threat is over. I agree some of the military needs to be taken out once the situation is properly assessed by the current govt. and that takes more than 100 days. Does she know that the US has been in a State Of Emergency since 9-11? There’s even one state in the US that has been in a State Of Emergency for several decades.
This wannabe political “rapper” (she’s not really a rapper, why do people call her that?) is a terrible political analyst. I couldn’t even watch the whole thing because it was that stupid. If I want to entertain myself, I’d rather go watch a proper show than this junk by a wannabe.

I watched this woman being interviewed by Bill Maher (who was ignorant of facts), and bluff her way through the interview, giving her one sided propaganda, and the interviewer who was equally clueless, did not challenge the lies. This is a attention seeker who is simply mouthing statements that she has been fed.

In this interview she is totally blind to the fact Pirabaharan dragged Tamil children away from their mothers to be used as cannon fodder (except his son of course).

I have to say that I was completely blown away by her poise and intelligence. Regardless of what anyone thinks about her political beliefs, if you don’t give her credit for that, then you hopelessly biased. “We can’t all be terrorists” – tough to argue with that.

LTTE did lot of mistakes at later days due to fear and desperation but the fact is almost 90% of Tamils encouraged them and made them grow. Only majority of Tamils started to hate them when they asked for help (financial or manual). Apart from LTTE, lot of innocent civilians who are to be protected by the government were bombed and blown into pieces. Lasantha and many others were killed because they sympathise those killings and mixing of chemical weapons. Tamils are happy to corporate with the new government to build a unified srilanka, lot of Singhalese here talking about Ealam again to agitate other Singhalese against Tamils, which MR & co did. Nothing wrong in asking for justification and compensation for the loses by the affected people who are not part of LTTE while building a unified country.
