Both the Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara and the Yahapalanaya Government appears to be on snooze mode despite the increasing and intensifying ant-Muslim campaigns by radical Buddhists, with certain protestors openly threatening to burn and kill Muslims, while others have declared that they are ready to carry out suicide bombings.
During a recent protest opposite the Fort Railway Station, a group of protestors, including a person by the name of Dan Priyasad, as per his Facebook page, declared that there are only a few people to talk on behalf of the Sinhalese and if necessary they also have all the necessities to kill the Muslims where the protest was being held.
Shouting Jaywewa Sinhalaya, this is our country, the protestors said, “This is a Sinhalese country. Only a handful of people are there to talk on behalf of the Sinhalese. Today if all those b*ggers who liked and shared the anti-Muslim posts on Facebook came together, we could have burnt and killed the Muslims.”
“We have enough stuff here, we can kill them right here. We can carry out suicide bombings and kill them all,” the protestors including Priyasad said.
Despite making statements which also threatened the country’s national security, there has been no action against the protestors by the police.
Despite various groups threatening the Muslim community in the recent past, IGP Pujith Jayasundara has continued to turn a blind eye. Complaints with video evidence being sent to him, requesting an inquiring into the 2014 Aluthgama riots, which the Bodu Bala Sena’s Galagoda atte Gnanasara said was orchestrated by the BBS.

95% of the Muslims in Sri Lanka also have the look of South Indian Tamils and Muslims from who their immigrant ancestors descended from. Post as much as you like and abuse me under various identities some Tamil but the truth is the Muslims of Sri Lanka are not descended from Moors or Arabs but from largely low caste immigrant Indian Tamil Hindu converts.
A few hundred families may able to prove a very distant male Arab ancestor or two but even amongst them, the rest of their ancestors are Tamils. These few hundred will number around 40000 the most in a population of 1.9 million Sri Lankan Muslims. Using this 40000 with a little bit of Arab to claim a pure Arab ancestry for the entire population of 1.9 million Sri Lankan Muslims is s joke.
DNA analysis have provided beyond doubt that contrary to what the Muslims of Sri Lanka claim,they have very little Arab in them and genetically there are no different from the island’s Sinhalese or Tamils and they are all closely related to the population of South India and this includes the Dravidian Muslims of South India. Basically the Muslims of Sri Lanka are descended from Tamils of various religions who converted to Islam. Everything about them a generation ago from their names culture dress , the dialect of Tamil spoken or even the form of Islam practised reeked of South India and Tamil,until they deliberately started to Arabise themselves their culture and their form of Islam from around the late 1970s, to prove that they are Moors and not Tamils.
Unlike the northern parts of India and what is now modern Pakistan/Bangladesh, where Islam came with conquest, forced conversion and with lots of violence, Islam came through trade, peacefully spread by Arab traders, in the deep south of India, in what was then the Tamil country, modern day Kerala and Tamil Nadu. There are a instances where Islam was spread by violence during the reign of Tippu Sultan when he forced hundreds of thousands of upper caste Hindus Brahmins, Nairs and Nambiars to convert in the northern parts of Kerala and even parts of Tamil Nadu, but overall it was spread peacefully. This is the reason even now unlike the rest of India, Muslims in these two southern states live very amicably with their fellow Hindus and Christians and strongly identify with local language culture and ethnicity. Unlike in the rest of India ( other than in Bengal and Gujarat) where Muslims speak and use Urdu as their mother tongue and Christians tending to use English. Muslims and Christians in these two Southern states speak Tamil or Malayalam as their mother tongue.
However even in here Arabs never came in their thousands to the shores of south India or to then Tamil western coast of the Sri Lanka. Only a few hundred came over a span of hundred years. You should also realise many of the ancient and original Arab traders who came trading to the shores of southern India and Sri Lanka were not Muslims but Christians. This is the reason for the Syrian Christian population in Kerala.
These traders never brought their woman folk and even amongst them only a few had any relationship with local Tamil women in these areas. Therefore their half caste off spring may have been the original Muslims in the southern parts of India and along the western coasts of Sri Lanka, but they would have numbered a few thousands. Their descendants could never have produced the current 17 million Muslims now found in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and in Sri Lanka. More than 99% of them would have been descended from largely low caste Hindus who converted to escape the cruelty of the Hindu caste system. Also remember that in the 18Th century Tippu Sultan forcibly converted hundreds of thousands of Hindus to Islam in the northern parts of Kerala and parts of Tamil Nadu. Now even this little bit of Arab in this original Muslim populations in the southern parts of India and Sri Lanka would have become extremely diluted by the huge sea of Dravidian Muslims in South India and the immigration that occurred in the island from South India a few centuries.
Still stubbornly trying to claim, an Arab origin using the miniscule amount of Arab blood that the few thousand original Muslim population had, that would have been further and heavily diluted by the huge sea of Tamil Dravidian Muslims that migrated from South India a few centuries ago, as their only sole origin and ignoring the 95% or more of Dravidian Tamil blood heritage and everything else that makes them a human is a joke. Even a USA federal site once commented on this, Muslims of Sri Lanka deliberately tend to ignore their predominant Tamil origin and heritage and keep on insisting and talking about a Arab origin and heritage that is only a small percentage of their genetic makeup.
Stating the obvious truth is not racism, it may not palatable to many but it is the truth. Sir Ponnambalam Ramanathan stated this obvious truth, he was a very refined man of peace but aggressively decried as a racist by the Muslim elite and establishment for stating this truth, so I am in good company. The thing with Sri Lanka is racism is rife as people a fed with Aryan and Arab origin myths and taught to hate other on false basis of superiority and myths. Oh really South Asian Muslims from India Pakistan Bangladesh practise caste. Muslim families belonging to the upper castes or descended from the Mughal Persian Afghan and Central Asian invaders will not intermarry into the larger Muslim masses, as they are low caste converts. In Pakistan Punjabi and Sindhi Muslim families are particular about the caste of the family they are marrying into. Even amongst the Baluch, Pathans and even Arabs there is a pecking order amongst the tribes. Certain tribes are considered higher than the others and families that have African slave blood are far lower in the pecking order.
Even now Pakistan/Bangladesh was and is still ruled by Muslims families belonging to the upper caste families.
Even the Tamil Muslims in South India are divided by castes. Eg: Marrikar, Lebbai,Rawther, Thambi Etc. In Sri Lanka these Tamil Muslims casted intermarry but not in Tamil Nadu. They still tend to stick to their castes. Even the Mappila Muslims of Kerala have different castes and a pecking order. Please learn history before posting. Humans always tend to divide themselves if it is not caste it is class. Like in the west. I am only stating the truth and if this offends you that is your problem. If caste was not a problem amongst the Muslims, then why do they aggressively try to hide their real largely low caste Indian Tamil origin and claim a fake Arab origin? Sinhalese is not derived from Sanskrit or Pali but in fact the Prakrit or Pali version of one of the old Tamil names for the island. Chingkalam meaning the land of red or copper. The population living in the island were called Chingkalavar It later became Sinhala. Just like Eelam or Eezham became Hela. The ancient Tamil Eelavar or Eezhava became the Hela Jathiya. Serendib is the corruption of Tamil word Cheran theevu meaning the island of the Chera( the ancient Tamil kingdom of Chera. Modern day Kerala).
Kandyan dancing is not derived from the North Indian Kathak but from the kathakali dances of Kerala. The Sinhalese are very similar to the people of Kerala the former Tamil Chera kingdom

The Indus valley civilisation is Dravidian and they spoke proto Dravidian or old Tamil. Regarding man made laws which define marriageable age for young girls, that is a totally different subject and can be argued at many levels. Any girl is presumed ready for marriage upon attaining puberty (i.e. start of her menstrual cycle). Marrying off young girls before attaining puberty is a cultural issue and is not a religious issue. Different cultures have their own practices and traditions which are unique only to that particular culture. This is a simple basic law and an understanding that existed during the time of the Prophet 1430 odd years before. Although nothing much has ever changed, we know that no one marries off young girls at extremely young age, since a minimum age law has now been enforced by government. In fact this law of ‘minimum age’ also depends on the country itself, since it varies from country to country. But bringing this into focus at this time points to other sinister motives to undermine the Islamic faith. It is time to expose and oppose those plans.

relationship confidence and ability to maintain a healthy relationship. Purpose of the study was to evaluate the aspects of
psychological disturbances occurring in married young girls along with depression rate and educational withdrawal, with
comparison of unmarried young girls of the same age specifically there is a strong correlation between a woman’s age at
marriage and the education that she receives. Uniformly across the countries, early marriage is associated with lower
educational attainment. Observational study was conducted through multi logistic structured questionnaire and girls in b/w
age of 13 to 35 were included. On the basis of above study it is concluded that early marriage, multiple responsibilities and
early pregnancies are risk factors of depression and it is further evaluated that married girls are at higher level when compared with unmarried.
